Labor-intensive garment industries are experiencing significant employment challenges in the post-pandemic era, which has direct implications for the achievement of organizational objectives. This study was conducted to examine the effects of work-life balance, workload, and job stress on turnover intention among employees of PT 3Di Garmentech in West Jakarta. The research employed a quantitative approach with a sample of 70 respondents, selected using a saturated sampling technique, meaning all members of the population were included as respondents. Data collection was carried out through structured questionnaires, and the analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression methods, complemented by interval value interpretation on a Likert scale. The data were processed with the help of Microsoft Excel and SPSS version 26 to ensure accuracy in statistical testing. Findings from the study revealed that workload and job stress significantly and positively influenced turnover intention, indicating that higher levels of these factors increased employees’ desire to leave the company. Meanwhile, work-life balance showed no significant impact on turnover intention, suggesting that despite potential difficulties in balancing personal and professional roles, employees’ decisions to resign were more strongly driven by excessive workload and heightened job stress. These results emphasize the importance for garment companies to manage workload effectively and reduce stress levels to maintain employee retention and organizational stability.

Stress can be defined as a condition of tension that affects various aspects of a person’s life. Work-related stress may be caused by several factors, such as excessive workload, tight deadlines, conflicts with colleagues, or uncertainty in the workplace. One method that can be applied to manage stress is the Benson Relaxation Technique. The Benson Technique is a relaxation method that helps relieve bodily tension, with the expectation of improving sleep quality and preparing individuals to achieve a deeper connection with the Creator or spiritual being. This community service activity aimed to provide education regarding the Benson Relaxation Technique to reduce work-related stress among female workers at Soun Scorpio Factory in Karangsoka Village. The methods used in this activity included measuring stress levels using a work stress instrument, assessing knowledge levels through pre-test and post-test questionnaires, and conducting evaluations using observation sheets. The activity involved 25 female workers at Soun Scorpio Factory who received education on the Benson Technique, delivered in two sessions. The evaluation results showed that 84% of the participants were in the moderate stress category, and 16% were in the low-stress category. Knowledge evaluation results indicated that 16 participants (64%) had good knowledge, while 9 participants (36%) had sufficient knowledge. After the intervention, all respondents (100%) showed a reduction in stress levels to the low-stress category. Thus, the Benson Relaxation Technique can serve as an effective approach to reducing work-related stress among female workers and improving their mental well-being.

Work stress is a prevalent and complex phenomenon frequently encountered by inpatient nurses as a result of the intense physical, emotional, and psychological demands inherent in their professional responsibilities. Nurses are required to deliver high-quality care under conditions of time pressure, emotional strain, and patient diversity, which can increase their susceptibility to stress. Individual factors—including age, gender, marital status, years of service, personality type, and self-assessment—play a crucial role in shaping nurses’ capacity to adapt to these pressures and maintain their performance. This study aims to comprehensively describe the influence of individual factors on work stress among inpatient nurses at RSUP Dr. Sitanala in 2025. Employing a quantitative descriptive design with a cross-sectional approach, a total of 34 inpatient nurses were recruited using total sampling. Data were collected using the NIOSH Job Stress Questionnaire, which measures multiple aspects of job-related stress. The results indicate that younger nurses, those with shorter work tenure, and individuals exhibiting type A personality traits are more vulnerable to experiencing high levels of stress compared to their counterparts. These findings underscore that individual characteristics significantly contribute to variations in work stress levels. The study emphasizes the importance of developing responsive human resource management strategies, such as stress management training, mentoring, and supportive work environments, to strengthen resilience and improve nurses’ well-being. By identifying and addressing these individual factors, healthcare organizations can enhance employee retention, promote patient safety, and ensure sustainable quality of care.

This study was conducted at PT Catur Mitra Sejati Sentosa, where high work pressure was observed due to daily production or sales targets that must be achieved within 8 working hours. Employees who fail to meet these targets are not allowed to leave on time, leading to increased workload and work stress. This condition is suspected to significantly affect employee productivity. The aim of this research is to examine the influence of workload and work stress on employee productivity, both partially and simultaneously. The research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method by distributing questionnaires to 51 respondents. Data analysis was carried out using SPSS version 26 through validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, t-tests, and F-tests. The findings of the study indicate that workload has a significant effect on employee productivity, as does work stress. Both workload and work stress are positively correlated with lower productivity levels. Moreover, when assessed together, both variables also simultaneously influence productivity significantly. This suggests that the company’s high work pressure, driven by unmet targets, contributes directly to reduced work efficiency and increased stress. Therefore, the company needs to manage workload and work stress effectively, ensuring that work expectations are realistic and that employees are given adequate support to meet these expectations. Optimizing these factors can enhance employee productivity, reduce stress, and improve overall company performance.

Nurses are healthcare workers who have a high workload because they are in direct contact with patients 24 hours a day. Complex tasks, limited manpower, and high service demands often cause work stress. Unresolved stress can affect nurses' health, reduce performance, and even impact patient safety. This study aims to investigate the relationship between stress levels and workloads among nurses at Semarang General Hospital. The study design employs a cross-sectional approach with a quantitative methodology. The study population consists of all nurses in the inpatient ward of Semarang General Hospital, with a sample size of 80 respondents selected using proportional random sampling. The research instruments used the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10) questionnaire to measure stress and the NASA-TLX questionnaire to measure workload. Data analysis was conducted using the Spearman Rank test. The results of the study show that most nurses are in the moderate stress category (65%), while the highest workload is in the high category (58.8%). Bivariate analysis yielded a p-value of 0.001 (p < 0.05) with a correlation coefficient of r = 0.412, indicating a significant positive relationship between stress levels and nurses' workload. The higher the workload of nurses, the higher the stress levels they experience. Hospitals are encouraged to implement effective workload management, including proportional task distribution, additional staff, and stress management programs for nurses.

This study aims to analyze the influence of work-life balance and workload on turnover intention, with work stress as a mediating variable in employees of PT Semarang Garment. The phenomenon of high turnover in the garment industry is the background of this study, which is triggered by large production targets, high work pressure, and imbalance between work and personal life. These conditions have the potential to reduce employee welfare and increase the desire to leave the company. This study uses a quantitative method with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis techniques using AMOS version 24. The research sample of 360 respondents was selected through a simple random sampling technique, and data was collected using a structured online questionnaire. The results of the analysis show that: (1) Work-life balance does not have a significant effect on turnover intention, but has a significant negative effect on work stress, which means the better the work-life balance, the lower the level of work stress; (2) Workload has a significant positive effect on work stress, but does not have a significant effect on turnover intention; (3) Work stress has a significant positive effect on turnover intention, which indicates that the higher the work stress, the greater the employee's desire to leave. Furthermore, it was found that job stress mediates the relationship between work-life balance and turnover intention, so improving work-life balance can indirectly reduce turnover intention through reduced job stress. Theoretically, this study adds to the human resource management literature on factors influencing turnover intention. Practically, the results recommend that company management create a healthy work environment, manage workloads proportionally, and design policies that support work-life balance to reduce turnover intention.

The research population consisted of all 150 employees in the production department. Using the Slovin formula, a sample of 60 respondents was selected through accidental sampling. Data collection was carried out via an online questionnaire distributed through Google Forms. The analytical methods employed were correlation analysis to assess the relationship between variables and multiple linear regression to measure their simultaneous influence on performance. The results indicated a negative relationship between emotional intelligence and work stress, meaning that employees with higher emotional intelligence tended to experience lower levels of work stress. Furthermore, when examined together, emotional intelligence and work stress had a significant impact on employee performance. Specifically, these two variables contributed 47.4% to the variance in performance, while the remaining 52.6% was influenced by other factors not addressed in this study. The findings highlight the importance of emotional intelligence as a critical factor in managing workplace stress and enhancing performance, especially in the pharmaceutical industry where precision, cooperation, and adaptability are essential. Improving employees’ emotional intelligence may serve as a strategic approach to reducing work-related stress and fostering better performance outcomes. Organizations are therefore encouraged to invest in training and development programs that emphasize emotional regulation, empathy, interpersonal skills, and effective communication. Future research should consider incorporating additional variables such as work motivation, organizational culture, leadership style, and job satisfaction to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the determinants of employee performance. Expanding the research scope to different departments and industries could also provide broader insights into how emotional intelligence and work stress interact across diverse work settings.

This study aims to analyze the role of mental health as a moderation variable in the relationship between work facilities and employee job satisfaction. Adequate work facilities are generally thought to be able to increase job satisfaction, but these effects can vary depending on the individual's psychological condition, particularly mental health. This research is motivated by the importance of a holistic approach in human resource management, which includes both physical and psychological aspects of the work environment. The research method used was a quantitative approach with survey techniques to 150 respondents working in the public service sector in urban areas. The data collection instrument was in the form of a closed questionnaire with a Likert scale, and hypothesis testing was carried out through moderation regression analysis using the help of SPSS software. The results of the study show that work facilities have a positive and significant influence on employee job satisfaction. In addition, it was found that mental health played a significant role as a significant moderation variable in the relationship. This means that the influence of work facilities on job satisfaction becomes stronger or weaker depending on the level of mental health possessed by employees. These findings underscore the importance of organizations not only focusing on improving physical work facilities, but also paying attention to and managing employees' mental health as an integral part of strategies to improve well-being and work productivity. Interventions such as counseling programs, work-life balance, and stress management training need to be considered as part of the organization's policies. This research makes a theoretical contribution in enriching the understanding of the role of psychological variables in job satisfaction dynamics, as well as a practical contribution to management in designing a healthier and more productive work environment.

Teachers frequently encounter heavy workloads, which can reduce job satisfaction. While various research have looked at this link, the function of job motivation as a deciding factor has not been thoroughly investigated. This systematic literature review seeks to investigate how motivation of work affects the relationship between workload with job satisfaction in teachers. Using the PRISMA framework, a thorough search was undertaken across major academic databases such as Crossref, Semantic Scholar, and Google Scholar, focused on publications published between 2015 and 2025. Inclusion criteria were peer-reviewed publications on motivation, workload, and job satisfaction in the context of school teacher. A total of 12 relevant studies were examined thematically. The data show that a high workload typically affects job satisfaction, although this impact can be mitigated or modulated by internal and extrinsic motivating variables. Teachers with higher levels of intrinsic motivation were more tolerant to workload-related stress and reported higher levels of satisfaction. This review emphasizes the necessity of improving motivating tactics in educational institutions in order to increase teacher well-being. More study is needed to investigate contextual variables including school culture and teacher tenure.

This paper discusses the visual design of character designs for an illustrated book that focuses on the problem of people pleasers among employees aged 22-30 years. People pleasers are individuals who tend to please others at the expense of themselves, which in the long term can trigger stress and mental disorders. The results of the study show that many young employees experience a dilemma between meeting other people's expectations and maintaining their own well-being. To convey this problem, four characters were designed. The main character is Tara, a people pleaser who undergoes a transformation into a more balanced individual in her work and personal life. Three supporting characters help strengthen the dynamics of conflict in the workplace, Mr. Johnson (Tara's demanding boss), Shinta (a supportive co-worker), and Felix (a senior co-worker). The character design process was carried out through several stages, including interviews with psychologists, illustrators, and employees, as well as qualitative data analysis from observations, Focus Group Discussions (FGD), and literature studies. The result is four characters executed in a simple illustration style with flat design and a limited color palette to emphasize the emotional atmosphere experienced by the characters. By exploring the right illustration style and color composition, this study designs characters that not only depict the reality of people pleasers in the workplace, but also function as visual educational media that helps readers understand the importance of setting boundaries at work and supports individuals in achieving inner peace and balance in life. Keywords: People pleaser, Persona, Illustration, Employee Character Design
