This paper theologically examines the concept of salvation in Arminian theology, a system of thought developed by Jacobus Arminius in response to the doctrines of Calvinism, especially regarding predestination and saving grace. Through a literature study, this research explores the main tenets of Arminianism such as freedom of the will, conditional election, universal redemption, the resistibility of grace, and the possibility of losing salvation. Arminian theology views salvation as the result of cooperation between God's grace and human response, where grace is universally given but can be resisted by human free will. It also emphasizes that salvation is not a static status, but rather a dynamic relationship that requires perseverance in faith. This research shows that Arminianism not only provides a systematic soteriological framework, but is also relevant in the context of contemporary Christian faith life. By emphasizing God's inclusive love and human responsibility in responding to salvation, Arminianism provides an important contribution to contemporary theological discourse as well as a balanced faith appreciation between divine sovereignty and human freedom.

This study aims to analyze the psychological dynamics of the character Alie in the novel Rumah untuk Alie by Lenn Liu using Sigmund Freud’s psychoanalytic approach. The focus of the study lies in identifying and interpreting the personality structures of id, ego, and superego, as well as the ego defense mechanisms that emerge as responses to trauma and violence within the family environment. The research method employed is qualitative descriptive, utilizing content analysis techniques on the narrative, dialogue, and monologue of the main character. The results indicate that Alie’s id is manifested in a deep longing for love and protection, the ego functions in adapting and adjusting to the reality of a rejecting family, while the superego is reflected through feelings of guilt and a tendency to accept mistreatment as a form of self-punishment. These findings confirm that traumatic experiences and family pressures significantly influence the development of personality and mental health of the character. This study also highlights the relevance of literary psychology in revealing psychological issues faced by contemporary Indonesian society through literary works.

Islamic education does not merely focus on the transfer of knowledge but also emphasizes the development of character, morality, and spiritual consciousness. Spiritual values are central in shaping learners who are not only intellectually capable but also faithful and pious. In this context, teachers serve not only as educators but also as spiritual mentors who instill values such as sincerity (ikhlas), trust in God (tawakkal), and divine awareness. This study aims to: 1) Explore the content and themes of the novel Imama Al-Hafidzh by Tri Lyagustina; and 2) Identify the Islamic spiritual values present in the novel and their relevance to contemporary life. This research employs a qualitative approach using library research methods, relying on both primary and secondary sources. Data analysis was conducted by collecting, comparing, and synthesizing information to produce a systematic and comprehensive study. The findings reveal that the novel tells the story of a young man who burns his own finger in a forest to resist temptation, symbolizing strong faith and self-control. The novel conveys messages such as steadfastness in principles, resisting worldly pleasures, not neglecting worship, and making the most of life to serve Allah. The spiritual values found in the novel include: faith, sincerity, patience, trust in God, gratitude, acceptance, repentance, Islamic brotherhood, asceticism, positive thinking, humility in worship, consistency, and love. Parental divorce causes the child to lose the love and affection of his parents and hinders them in their psychological development. This study describes and analyzes the psychological struggles experienced by three children who lost their father's role after divorce. All three experience similar inner conflicts: feelings of loss, neglect, and emotional division, as well as confusion in choosing to live with their father or mother. This study uses a qualitative case study approach and uses participatory observation and in-depth interviews for data collection. The results showed that children experienced conflicts about loyalty, emotional stress, and difficulty in reshaping their self-identity in a changing family environment. Children's mental and social instability is exacerbated by the loss of the father figure both physically and emotionally. The study emphasizes how important it is for parents to remain actively involved with their child even after they have divorced to maintain their emotional stability and provide ongoing psychological support. These findings are expected to be a reference for education practitioners, counselors, and parents in dealing with the psychological impact of divorce on children.

The phenomenon of throning, which refers to the practice of seeking partners with high social status to enhance self-image, is increasingly prevalent among Generation Z. Although it may seem appealing, throning poses negative issues such as unrealistic expectations, a transactional view of relationships, and the potential for unhappiness that impacts individuals' mental health. This article aims to critically analyze throning behavior from the perspective of Christian Religious Education, emphasizing the importance of spiritual values in building healthy relationships. The research method employed is qualitative, using a literature review approach that involves analyzing written sources related to throning and Christian Religious Education. The findings indicate that throning contradicts the pursuit of a life partner, as well as the principles of love and respect for the intrinsic value of individuals taught in the Bible. The study concludes by affirming the need for a holistic approach to understanding relationships, grounded in spiritual values rather than social status. Recommendations for future research include more in-depth empirical studies on the impact of throning on mental health and interpersonal relationships, as well as a deeper exploration of Biblical knowledge, which highlights the importance of moral and spiritual values in relationship contexts, even in the digital age. It is hoped that individuals can build more authentic relationships through the lens of the Bible and glorify God.

The adaptation of a novel into a film, known as ekranisasi, is a challenging process due to the differences between the two mediums, namely literature and visual storytelling. This study examines the ekranisasi process of the novel Mariposa by Luluk Hadiya Fauzia, directed by Fajar Bustomi. The purpose of this research is to analyze the extent to which the Mariposa film retains the core narrative of the novel and how cinematographic elements are used to replace the internal narration found in the literary work. Through a qualitative approach and literature study, the research reveals that, despite significant changes in character development and plot structure, the main themes of teenage love, perseverance, and self-growth are preserved. The film employs cinematographic techniques, such as lighting, color, and shot composition, to more directly depict the emotions and internal conflicts of the main characters. Additionally, symbolism, such as the butterfly representing transformation, strengthens the themes and moral messages conveyed. The findings of this study show that the Mariposa film successfully offers a new experience for the audience and demonstrates that novel-to-film adaptations can succeed, even with changes in storytelling methods, as long as the essence of the literary work is maintained.

Ephesians provides important guidance on spiritual and moral formation for adult church members. The main focus of this letter is building maturity in faith through a relationship with Christ, teaching the Word, and community life that reflects the love and unity of the body of Christ. Research aims to explore the perceptions of women aged 21-38 years old on self-confidence, feelings of insecurity, and self-love through an online survey conducted using Google Forms. The survey results show that 98.4% of respondents experience feelings of insecurity, while 75.8% show interest in attending self-development activities such as beauty classes to enhance self-confidence, and 91.3% show interest in makeup. Interviews were conducted to gain a deeper understanding of the beauty class activities conducted by OMG Beauty in Cirebon, which focus on developing makeup skills and using beauty products, but the interviews also revealed that these activities do not fully reflect OMG Beauty's brand image, which promotes the message "confidence and optimism". Therefore, the researcher proposes a social campaign with the theme "Embracing Your Beauty: A Journey of Self-love" to increase awareness of the importance of nurturing self-confidence and addressing feelings of insecurity among participants. The campaign is designed using the Design Thinking method, which includes the stages of Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test, to create an effective solution for increasing participation and public perception of beauty classes.

Imperfect: Career, Love & Scales is a work that discusses the issue of body shaming and social pressure on beauty standards. Through a qualitative approach with social comparison theory analysis, this study reveals how the representation of body aesthetics is displayed in the film. The main character, Rara, experiences pressure to meet ideal beauty standards, such as a slim body and white skin, both in her work environment and family. This phenomenon reflects social construction and popular culture that reinforces beauty stereotypes. The impacts of this pressure include decreased self-esteem, anxiety, and unhealthy dieting behavior. This study shows that media-promoted beauty standards have a negative impact on individual mental health and encourage appearance-based discrimination. The film also critiques narrow beauty standards while conveying important messages about self-acceptance and diversity.

Colossians 3:5-10 is a verse that describes the life of a new human person who has adapted and accepted Christ as Lord and loves himself. Based on Paul's opinion to the Colossian congregation, when the Colossian congregation became new people, they had to put away all their old lives, namely living in sin. But there are still those who have not fully lived in the new life. Likewise, the life of mankind, when they have been reborn into new humans, has not completely evolved from the old life. Still committing sins and old habits like humans live in modern times which always prioritize physical, visible, temporary and popular things. On the other hand, Christians also ignore the true self, the spiritual self, the invisible, the eternal and the hidden. By writing this article, the aim is to invite and encourage Christians to adapt seriously and live in holiness that is continually renewed in the image of God's Creator. The method used by the author is a literature research study method using book sources.
