This paper aims to explore the legal basis and ethical reasoning for the revocation of parental rights due to domestic violence by placing the child's best interests as a compass and mapping the gap between norms and judicial practices. The method used is normative-doctrinal legal research based on a literature review of the Domestic Violence Law, the Marriage Law, the Child Protection Law, selected jurisprudence, and scientific literature, analyzed qualitatively through systematic interpretation, argument construction, and linking to the facts of the impact of domestic violence on children. The results show that positive law provides a firm basis for sanctions and protections including restrictions on interaction and revocation of custody rights, but implementation is often hampered by vague evidence of psychological violence, the victim's economic dependence, and weak execution of alimony; revocation effectively breaks the cycle when accompanied by a protection order, a post-decision parenting plan, and ongoing psychosocial support. Policy implications include guidelines for proving coercive control, expanding access to timely protection orders, integrating trauma-informed services in religious courts, and a mechanism for executing alimony that does not burden victims, with schools, community health centers, and communities as early detection nodes. Ultimately, legal work and social networks converge in one simple goal: that home again means a safe place for children to return.

Errors in the pre-analytical phase are a dominant factor causing inaccurate laboratory test results, including blood serum cholesterol analysis. Pre-examination specimen handling is crucial to ensure the quality of measurement results. This study aimed to compare serum cholesterol levels in blood frozen before centrifugation with those immediately centrifuged. The research method was analytical using a cross-sectional design. A total of 35 respondents were involved, consisting of laboratory staff, emergency room staff, pharmacists, and administration at Sinar Kasih GKST Tentena Hospital. Blood samples were obtained via venipuncture after participants had fasted for 10–12 hours. Each sample was then separated into two groups: those immediately centrifuged and those frozen 20–30 minutes before centrifugation. Data collection was carried out by examining serum cholesterol levels using an Erba Mannheim Chem-7 photometer. The results showed that the average cholesterol level in frozen samples was higher (161.4 mg/dL) compared to samples immediately centrifuged (140.45 mg/dL). The Mann-Whitney statistical test yielded a p-value of 0.006 (p<0.05), indicating a significant difference between the two treatments. This confirms that pre-analytical handling of blood specimens significantly impacts the validity of cholesterol test results. Therefore, careful attention to the pre-analytical stage is essential to ensure the accuracy of laboratory results.

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a non-communicable disease that is currently a major public health problem in Indonesia. The prevalence of DM continues to increase from year to year, not only in urban areas but also increasingly found in rural areas. One factor contributing to the high number of DM cases is a lack of public awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle, as well as the continued presence of many undiagnosed cases, resulting in delayed treatment. Therefore, early detection efforts and health education that can reach the community at the community level are needed. This community service program was designed to conduct random blood sugar screenings while increasing the knowledge of residents of RW 15 Kalibaru regarding the prevention and control of DM. The activity was carried out on August 24, 2025, involving 21 participants, most of whom were from adults to the elderly. The activity method consisted of two main stages: checking blood sugar levels using a glucometer and a health education session on a healthy lifestyle, a balanced diet, and the importance of regular physical activity. The results of the activity showed that the indicators of success were well achieved. This was indicated by the orderly implementation of the examinations, a high level of participation from residents, and increased awareness of the dangers of DM among participants. From the examination results, most participants had normal blood sugar levels, but several people were found with blood sugar levels above the normal limit who required medical follow-up.

This article examines the crucial role of spatial communication, particularly through signage systems, in the effective implementation of functional zoning in academic libraries. Using a comparative case study method at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) and Telkom University Libraries, this research analyzes how different visual communication strategies influence students' perceptions, behaviors, and sense of place formation. The findings indicate that the explicit and strategic visual communication approach at Telkom University successfully creates high spatial legibility and strengthens collective place identity. In contrast, the weak and ambiguous visual communication at the ITB Library causes users to rely more on personal habits, intuition, or previous experiences in accessing and utilizing the space. This not only hinders the formation of a coherent sense of place but also creates confusion that potentially degrades the quality of the user experience. The mismatch between spatial functions and user expectations leads to inefficiencies in facility utilization and disrupts user comfort within zones that should have clear functional boundaries, such as quiet zones, collaborative zones, and discussion zones. Furthermore, this article highlights the importance of integrating graphic design and architecture in creating a cohesive spatial experience. A consistently designed, informative, and aesthetically pleasing signage system not only enhances users' spatial orientation but also becomes a crucial element in shaping perceptions of the institution's character.

Sexual harassment against children in Islamic boarding schools is a serious issue that demands special attention, particularly in the context of legal protection for victims. This study aims to analyze the position and role of child victims in the dynamics of sexual harassment crimes within pesantren, as well as to identify forms of legal protection that can be provided through a victimological approach. One of the cases highlighted in this research occurred at Bani Ma’mun Islamic Boarding School, located in Gembor Udik Village, Cikande Sub-district, Serang Regency, which illustrates the weak protection afforded to children in religious educational environments. By employing an empirical juridical method and referring to secondary data such as legislation, legal documents, and academic literature, this study finds that child victims often do not receive optimal protection, either in the criminal justice process or in terms of psychosocial support. The victimological perspective emphasizes the importance of fulfilling victims' rights, including the right to security, physical and mental rehabilitation, and social reintegration. In this context, protection efforts should not only focus on imposing sanctions on perpetrators but also include the formulation of policies oriented toward the recovery of victims. Therefore, this study recommends strengthening institutional capacity within pesantren to develop and implement comprehensive child protection mechanisms, including regulatory reform and more responsive law enforcement toward victims of sexual crimes. This research is expected to contribute to the development of a legal framework that is more victim-oriented within Indonesia’s criminal justice system.

Early childhood represents a critical stage of rapid growth and development, during which children require appropriate stimulation to optimize both their physical health and overall well-being. One effective approach to meet these developmental needs is through engaging and enjoyable physical activities. Creative gymnastics, which combines rhythmic movements with music, offers a practical and appealing method to strengthen children’s immune systems while simultaneously fostering the development of gross motor skills. This community service program was implemented at Early Childhood Education (ECE) Citra Kasih School, Ambon, and involved children aged 4–6 years. The method of implementation emphasized direct practice, where children actively participated in a series of simple, structured, and playful movements accompanied by cheerful music, making the activity easy to follow and enjoyable. Observations during the program indicated that children showed a higher level of enthusiasm, increased activeness, and notable improvements in stamina, balance, and movement coordination. In addition, teachers expressed positive responses, highlighting the added value of integrating structured physical activities into the learning environment. The program not only benefited the children physically but also provided educators with new insights on effective strategies to support children’s health. This research examines God as the initiator of cross-cultural missions through a case study of mission transformation in the life of the Apostle Peter. Departing from the existing research gap, namely the need to reflect on the nature of God who loves other nations through a change in Peter's perspective, this study aims to show that God is the initiator of salvation for all mankind. The significance of this study is to encourage the church to see cross-cultural missions as an important approach in transmitting God's love to those who have not yet repented. Using a descriptive-analytical method, this study finds that Peter's encounter with Cornelius was a crucial turning point in early Christian missionary work. The experience radically changed Peter's narrow understanding of who was worthy of receiving the gospel, extending from just Jews to all nations. The descent of the Holy Spirit upon Cornelius and his family is clear evidence to Peter that God's grace is impartial and available to every believer. This event was not only a personal lesson for Peter, but also a revelation of God that opened the door for the gospel to reach the Gentile world, fundamentally changing the course of church history.
