Regional economic development needs to be planned and the benchmark is economic growth. Development in developing countries still prioritizes unemployment and poverty. Development in Indonesia to date still focuses on efforts to reduce the unemployment rate or open up job opportunities to reduce poverty. The level of poverty can be measured through the HDI (Human Development Index) which has three main indicators, namely health indicators, education level and economic indicators. There are many factors that hinder the development of an area, one of which is the high poverty rate. The problems of unemployment and poverty are still major issues that never end. Sidoarjo Regency has a decreasing number of poor people starting from 2021 at 137 people, in 2022 at 125 people and in 2023 at 119 people from a population of 2,238,069 people in 2021, 2,266,533 people in 2022, 1,996,825 people in 2023. The causes of poverty are the large number of children who have dropped out of school, limited public services (schools) which are difficult to reach, difficulty in getting health costs and the difficulty of people getting the necessities of life such as clothing, food and shelter. The aim of making a Study on the Role of the Health Index, Education Index and Purchasing Power Index on the Poverty Level of Sidoarjo Regency for 2010-2023, is to see the contribution of these three indices to changes in poverty levels in Sidoarjo Regency, both directly and indirectly, which will have an impact on change in poverty (number of poor people). It is hoped that this research can be used as consideration for Sidoarjo district in future community development so that they can live prosperously.

The Citarum River, as one of the important environmental assets in Indonesia, has experienced serious pollution due to industrial waste. Environmental legal regulations have been implemented to address these issues, but questions arise regarding the effectiveness of their implementation. This article analyzes the effectiveness of environmental legal regulations in handling cases of factory waste pollution in the Citarum River, with a focus on the level of industrial compliance and its impact on the environment. This study uses a qualitative approach by reviewing the applicable environmental legal regulations, as well as analyzing the level of industry compliance with these regulations. In addition, the impact of compliance or violations on the environment is also evaluated. The results of the analysis show that although environmental legal regulations exist, their implementation is still not optimal. Many factories still violate the limits that have been set, either because of a lack of strict law enforcement or because of a lack of awareness of the importance of environmental conservation. As a result, the Citarum River continues to experience pollution which is detrimental to the environment and public health. Existing environmental legal regulations are not effective enough in handling cases of factory waste pollution in the Citarum River. More serious efforts are needed from the government, industry and society to overcome this problem. Concrete steps are needed to increase industrial compliance, reduce waste pollution, and preserve the Citarum River environment for the welfare of the community and sustainability of the ecosystem. Further research can be conducted to evaluate the implementation of remedial actions and their impact on future environmental conditions. This article concludes the need for improvement measures in the implementation of environmental legal regulations, including stricter law enforcement and efforts to increase environmental awareness among industry. Apart from that, cooperation between government, industry and civil society is also important to achieve the restoration of a clean and healthy Citarum River.

The doctor's legal responsibility towards patients in the operating room installation is based on several relevant legal principles, the principle of informed consent or consent in treatment is an important factor in determining whether the doctor is responsible or not. Patients must be given adequate information about the diagnosis, procedures, risks, and treatment alternatives before giving consent for medical treatment. What are the rights and obligations between the doctor and patient in the agreement before surgery, as well as the agreement between the doctor and patient after the patient has received this information. Research methods using normative law are methods used to study legal rules as a system that can be linked to certain legal events. Secondary data uses tertiary legal data, secondary legal data and tertiary legal data from books, literature, publications and statutory sources related to all discussions. From this research it was found that every human being has the human right to live a healthy life and a doctor has ethical and professional responsibilities in carrying out his duties. The relationship between doctors and patients is regulated by applicable laws and regulations. The utilization of technology in environmental law has become crucial in enhancing the efficiency of monitoring and enforcement of environmental violations, with the use of technology-based monitoring systems such as sensors and drones enabling more accurate and real-time monitoring. Engaging inclusive and sustainable community participation is also a key step in achieving environmental justice, with efforts to improve accessibility of environmental information to the public and address challenges such as information gaps and access limitations. Furthermore, addressing the equitable distribution of environmental burdens and benefits among all members of society is a primary focus, by applying the principles of environmental justice and strengthening community involvement in environmental decision-making to reduce social and economic inequalities. Finally, creating an adaptive and responsive environmental legal system is increasingly important as environmental issues continue to evolve in complexity, requiring flexible environmental regulations, monitoring institutions capable of keeping pace with technological and environmental advancements, and collaboration among stakeholders to effectively address future challenges in a comprehensive manner.

Indonesia is a nation that abides by the Constitution of 1945 and Pancasila. Indonesia has encountered a multitude of illicit issues, both collective and individual, in recent years. One such offense is homicide with premeditation. This is a common occurrence in communities, families, and even police departments. Police officers are commonplace individuals who are susceptible to committing unlawful acts, notwithstanding the responsibilities and functions they perform. A considerable number of National Police personnel have been convicted of premeditated homicide. Consequently, the objective of this study is to ascertain the following: 1) the protocols governing the submission of petitions by suspects accused of premeditated homicide committed by police officers; and 2) the legal defense strategies employed by such suspects. The author addressed the issues addressed in this study from two perspectives: an empirical juridical approach and a normative juridical approach. Secondary data was acquired through literature reviews (Library Research), whereas primary data was obtained through field investigations (Field Research). In public trials, police officers occupy the same position as other civilians, according to research findings. Defense efforts may be initiated during a public trial by having the "Pledoi" read aloud. The indictment and defense cannot be presented until the judge declares the conclusion of the case examination. The written defense is submitted subsequent to the prosecutor's submission of the demands. The Pledoi comprises the following: the defendant's identity, an introductory section, a description of the objections raised against the charges filed, an indictment, the facts that were disclosed during the trial, a juridical analysis, and a concluding section.

The main problems in this research are: How is Article 27 of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities 2006 implemented in Law Number 8 of 2016 concerning Persons with Disabilities; What is the solution to the weakness in implementing Article 27 of the 2006 Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Law Number 8 of 2016 concerning Persons with Disabilities. The theories used in this research are the theory of monism and the theory of legal positivism. The type of research used in this research is normative legal research. Normative legal research is a process of finding legal rules, legal principles and legal doctrines to answer the legal issues faced. This research focuses on legal synchronization, namely examining the harmony of positive law (legislation) so that it does not conflict based on the hierarchy of laws and regulations. The results of this research are that the implementation of Article 27 of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities 2006 in Law Number 8 of 2016 concerning Persons with Disabilities has weaknesses, where none of this law regulates sanctions for the government, regional governments, State-Owned Enterprises, Regional-Owned Enterprises and private companies that do not meet the quota for disabled workers as regulated in Article 53 of Law Number 8 of 2016 concerning Persons with Disabilities. Therefore, the government needs to formulate government regulations as soon as possible as implementing regulations for Law Number 8 of 2016 concerning Persons with Disabilities, so that there is legal clarity and certainty, especially for law enforcers and people with disabilities.

The environment is a natural resource that brings great benefits to the survival of society. Problems regarding the environment are currently quite complex problems to discuss considering that the current natural conditions are not getting better, but it can be said that the current natural conditions are getting worse.  So the environment currently really needs special attention to continue to be well looked after and preserved. Law plays an important role in authority because it serves as a mechanism to legitimize public institutions and government institutions. Judicial power, which is part of state power, must have independence because only through independence can it control and limit legislative and executive power. In this case, independent judges can legally determine whether government actions to protect human rights are appropriate or not. This research uses normative juridical, which is an approach that focuses on legal provisions and legislation. This research approach uses analytical description to clarify the legal issues being discussed. This research uses primary data consisting of legal data in the form of judicial power legislation, coupled with secondary legal data in the form of books, journals, articles and others. The result of this research is that judicial power itself still has challenges that can occur, one of which is the intervention by internal and external judges themselves because of the elemental content of interests and power politics. Another factor is the poor and degraded morality of judges so that they can be bought and bribed by litigants, resulting in a decision that is not based on justice. This is certainly contrary to our constitution, namely the 1945 Constitution and the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia.

This study aims to determine the nusyuz behavior of husbands to wives in the dynamics of contemporary community marriage. By using literature research and descriptive qualitative methods, the researcher seeks to understand the various aspects that contribute to the emergence of nusyuz behavior. Based on the results of the study, the researcher found several factors at play, including economic problems that burden the family, differences in socio-cultural values that may not be aligned, psychological issues that affect relationship dynamics, lack of deep religious understanding, and the influence of a less supportive family and social environment. Overcoming this problem requires strategic and collaborative measures involving various parties. The government and related institutions must take the initiative to create programs that educate the public about the importance of understanding and practicing Islamic teachings in accordance with the current context. Educational and religious institutions must be active in spreading the values of love, compassion and harmony taught by Islam. In addition, increasing public awareness about rights in marriage and the importance of gender equality is also key to preventing nusyuz.

The topic of LGBT and homosexuality seems to be endlessly discussed. This is due to several scientific fields such as health, psychology, Islamic law, and other related fields that can significantly influence the decision-making process related to these issues. The problems include positioning LGBT or homosexual relationships as nature or nurture, innate or socially constructed, genetic or deviant, normal or abnormal, and so on. This abnormal behavior creates misunderstandings about sex in this group. This shows that people who maintain LGBT or homosexual relationships are unable to reconcile their desires and principles of life. Therefore, this article aims to identify the perceptions and efforts of Islamic religious education students towards the increasing normalization of LGBT in Indonesia. It also aims to educate the public about the understanding, meaning, and law of LGBT in Islam. The research method used is qualitative and is an approach or survey to examine and understand the main symptoms. To understand the main symptoms, researchers conducted interviews with respondents, asking several more general questions. After conducting interviews, the researchers initially obtained conflicting results. Students' perceptions of LGBT were contradictory. Second, PAI students do not agree that LGBT is normalized in Indonesia, either officially (legalized by the government) or unofficially (considered normal by society). The third effort of PAI students in minimizing LGBT in Indonesia is by providing education to the community directly or indirectly.
