This study aims to analyze the influence of self-efficacy and job characteristics on the job satisfaction of freelance photographers in Surabaya. The background of this research is based on the growth of the gig economy, which has encouraged the emergence of independent work patterns where workers have the freedom to manage their own time, methods, and projects. However, this freelance work system also presents various challenges, such as project uncertainty, fluctuating workloads, and limited structured support or evaluation. In the context of freelance photography, these dynamics are particularly evident, as the work demands not only creativity but also managerial skills to organize work processes independently. This study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method with questionnaires distributed to 100 freelance photographers selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method. The results indicate that self-efficacy and job characteristics significantly contribute to shaping job satisfaction. Strong self-efficacy particularly previous work experience enhances freelancers’ confidence in facing challenges, while clear job characteristics, especially in terms of task identity, make them feel more directed, valued, and satisfied with their work. These findings emphasize the importance of both internal and external factors in determining job satisfaction and provide theoretical as well as practical contributions to the management of freelance workers in the creative sector, particularly in designing adaptive work strategies in the digital economy era.

The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has made it a part of the teens' routine, but the intensity of its use raises concerns about mental health. This study aims to analyze the pattern of AI utilization and its impact on stress, anxiety, and depression in students of St. Petrus Medan High School using the framework of Self-Determination Theory (SDT), namely competence, autonomy, and connectedness). The research was conducted with a quantitative approach through a survey of 64 students using a total sampling technique, equipped with focused group discussions (FGDs) and literature review. The results show that more than 70% of students use AI on a regular basis, mainly through chatbots (81%) and social media (73%). Some students (35.9%) also use AI as a means of venting. Although 85.9% of respondents found AI to be helpful, the majority (59.3%) reported feeling inferior as a result of comparing themselves to AI results. These findings reveal a psychological paradox, where AI is perceived as a solution as well as a source of pressure. This condition has the potential to trigger stress and anxiety, although depressive symptoms do not yet appear to be dominant. This research emphasizes the importance of healthy digital literacy as well as mentoring from schools and parents to reduce the risk of AI addiction and maintain adolescent mental well-being.

In recent years, the Indonesian government has actively promoted digital transformation in public service delivery, including in rural and remote areas. However, digital adoption among communities in these regions remains inconsistent and often hindered by infrastructural and socio-cultural constraints. This study aims to assess the digital readiness of rural communities in adopting mobile-based public service information systems, with a specific focus on understanding the social and technological dynamics that shape their engagement. Employing a mixed methods approach with an explanatory sequential design, the research began with a structured survey involving 150-200 respondents per location, followed by in-depth interviews with key informants such as village officials, service operators, and local users. The quantitative data were analyzed using SPSS to identify general patterns in digital readiness based on the Technology Readiness Index and the Digital Readiness Framework, while qualitative insights were thematically analyzed using NVivo to uncover contextual factors. The findings reveal that while some respondents exhibit a moderate level of digital optimism, barriers such as unstable internet access, limited digital literacy, and fear of misusing technology significantly affect adoption rates. Furthermore, social support from family members emerged as a critical facilitator in overcoming these challenges. This study contributes to the discourse on inclusive digital transformation by highlighting the importance of integrating community-based support mechanisms into system design and policy planning. The implications suggest that successful digitalization efforts in rural areas must go beyond infrastructure development and address the social readiness of users through culturally sensitive and participatory approaches.

The increasing number of employees and vehicles at the Head Office of PT Bukit Asam Tbk Tanjung Enim has created a growing demand for adequate parking facilities. Limited parking space tends to encourage the use of on-street parking, which may lead to traffic congestion and reduce the comfort of the office environment. This study aims to analyze parking capacity and provide optimal management recommendations. The research was conducted through a preliminary survey, literature review, collection of primary and secondary data, and descriptive analysis to determine the parking space requirements for each type of vehicle. The results show that the maximum parking duration for cars and motorcycles is 440 minutes, with peak volumes of 142 vehicles/hour for cars and 124 vehicles/hour for motorcycles at 06.00–06.59. The parking index reached 96.52% for cars and 73.33% for motorcycles. The available static capacity is 115 SRP for cars and 210 SRP for motorcycles, while the ideal parking space requirement is 122 SRP for cars and 151 SRP for motorcycles. In conclusion, the current parking capacity is sufficient for motorcycles but insufficient for cars. Aging is often accompanied by sleep problems that have a negative impact on the well-being of older adults, such as reducing their quality of daily life and triggering a higher risk of chronic diseases, depression, and cognitive decline. To address this issue, the physiotherapy team held an educational program at the Arjosari Village ILP in Malang City, which aimed to equip older adults with knowledge about the value of quality sleep. The material was delivered through simple brochures, two-way discussion sessions, and assessments through initial and final tests. A total of 15 people participated, and from the opening discussion, about 80 percent of them admitted to having frequent sleep disturbances. Before the event, a survey showed that their understanding was still minimal, especially regarding what healthy sleep is, the triggers of sleep disturbances, the benefits of good sleep, the signs of sleep disturbances, and steps to overcome them. After the counseling, there was a significant increase, with the level of understanding reaching more than 86 percent on all topics. These results prove that community-based educational approaches such as this are very effective as a means of empowerment and early prevention. Activities such as this should be made a routine to support the overall health of the elderly.

Pandemic-fueled global crises, geopolitical tensions, and supply chain halt have rendered a cry for resilient community-based economies. Traditional business models have proved to be weak, and context-sensitive and inclusive innovations are required. The purpose of this study is to investigate the ways in which community-based business model innovation contributes to economic resilience after crises through the identification of key features such as collective ownership, digital integration, diversification of distribution, community networks, and microfinance access. Convergent parallel mixed-method design was employed involving 300 community-based MSME respondents and 20 key informants. Surveys and interviews were employed to collect the primary data, while secondary data were obtained from national statistics, international organizations, and academic journals. By regression analysis, digital integration (β=0.352) and collective ownership (β=0.321) are significant factors in enhancing economic resilience, followed by diversification of distribution, social networking, and access to finance. The Resilience Capacity Score (RCS) further reveals that digitalization received the highest RCS, and microfinance access was lowest among the variables. Conceptually, this research takes the concept of community-based Business Model Innovation to the next level and practically recommends stronger digital infrastructure, available microfinance schemes, and capacity building at the community level.

The younger generation born in the digital age has great potential to support tax collection. However, the low level of tax compliance among the younger generation is a major concern, especially in the digital age, where the use of online tax services is not yet optimal, tax literacy is still limited, and a lack of socialization is an obstacle to utilizing digital services. This study aims to analyze the influence of preferences for digital tax services and tax literacy on tax compliance among the younger generation at the Majalaya Tax Office. The study uses a quantitative approach with surveys as the data collection method. The sample consists of young taxpayers registered at the Majalaya Tax Office, and the data is analyzed using linear regression to test the partial and simultaneous effects of independent variables on tax compliance. The results show that digitalization preferences have a positive and significant effect on tax compliance, indicating that younger generations who are more responsive to digital services tend to be more compliant. Tax literacy also has a positive and significant effect, showing that a sufficient understanding of tax rights, obligations, and regulations encourages compliance. Simultaneously, the combination of digitalization preferences and tax literacy significantly affects tax compliance, with a coefficient of determination of 0.438, meaning that 43.8% of the variation in compliance can be explained by these two variables. The findings of this study emphasize the importance of integrating easy access to digital services and improved tax literacy to encourage tax compliance among the younger generation.
