This study is focused on exploring the strengths and weaknesses of the cooperative learning method in EFL classes according to 2 teachers' and 25 students’ perspectives. The data were collected from interviews, observation, and documentation. The interview data is collected by direct questioning. The findings were categorized into teachers' and students’ perspectives, which state that cooperative learning can facilitate teachers in teaching students effectively and make students able to gain self-confidence and motivation. However, the finding also revealed that cooperative learning is still lacking in managing the abilities of students who are not evenly distributed. The results showed that cooperative learning has both trade-offs in the classroom. Students feel more open to expressing their ideas, making the classroom atmosphere less monotonous and students more enthusiastic about learning. Teachers, on the other hand, feel helped when the material presented requires complicated explanations. Both students and teachers are more comfortable with a variety of methods, considering that cooperative learning has many different strategies that can be implemented by students. On the other hand, students and teachers also feel the problems of the method. It will be discussed further.

Over the past 10 years, character education planning has been implemented in schools. However, the actual outcomes of its implementation remain uncertain, necessitating an identification of the issues surrounding educational evaluation in schools. This article takes a descriptive approach, encompassing methods for identifying and evaluating students' learning achievements within the school context. The objective of this research is to discover the strengths and weaknesses of various assessment methods, including essay tests, objective tests, and subjective tests. The curriculum, implementation of teaching, learning resources, and educational partners in character education have also been extensively examined. Field experiences indicate that teachers face difficulties in integrating character education across all subjects, particularly when it comes to formative evaluation. Formative evaluation is employed by teachers during the learning process to determine students' attained competencies and identify gaps between their competencies and the required standards. This information is utilized by teachers to plan subsequent lessons and enhance students' learning outcomes.

This study uses the novel Max Havelaar by Multatuli. The problems discussed in this study are, (1) The structure of Multatuli's Max Havelaar novel? (2) The author's world view in the novel Max Havelaar by Multatuli? (3) The relevance of Multatuli's novel Max Havelaar as literature learning material in SMA/SMK?. The aims of this study were (1) to find out the structure of Multatuli's Max Havelaar novel, (2) to find out the world views in Multatuli's Max Havelaar novel, (3) to find the relevance of Multatuli's Max Havelaar novel as material for learning literature in class XII in senior high school. /SMK. The data analysis technique used is the dialectical method. The results of this research analysis can be interpreted in three ways, namely first, the structure in this study is thematic in nature, which means determining the relationship between characters. Second, the researcher finds that Max Havelaar's novel expresses a worldview in the form of Multatuli's ideas and aspirations regarding the phenomenon of colonialism practices towards indigenous peoples. Third, Multatuli's novel Max Havelaar can be made as literature learning material, especially at the high school/vocational school level. Since its introduction in 2005, podcasts have gained increasing popularity and widespread usage across various sectors. Apart from serving as a form of entertainment that shares the characteristic of proximity, similar to radio, podcasts have also emerged as an educational media, attracting a growing number of enthusiasts. The education sector has recently embraced podcasts as a tool to enhance the development of skills and abilities in podcast creation, ultimately leading to improved workstation productivity. The activities are designed based on the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) for media development. The implementation of these activities includes the introduction and installation of podcasting equipment, as well as providing tutorials on the usage of podcast recording software. Reflecting on the content presented, practical exercises are conducted, wherein students assume the role of operators, while teachers act as podcasters delivering subject-specific material aligned with the subjects they teach.
