Public services in the immigration sector are required to be faster and more responsive to the surge in public demand, including through the implementation of the Same Day Passport Service as a facility to expedite passport issuance. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Same Day Passport Service at the Tanjungpinang Class I Immigration Office and to reveal the obstacles that hinder it. A qualitative approach with a descriptive design was used. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document studies from immigration officials and service users. Data analysis referred to Sutrisno's service effectiveness indicators, namely program understanding, target accuracy, timeliness, goal achievement, and tangible changes. The results of the study indicate that the Same Day Passport Service has been effective overall, particularly in terms of timeliness, achievement of service objectives, and concrete changes in the quality of passport production. However, its effectiveness has not been maximized due to the public's limited understanding of service requirements and the accuracy of applicant targeting. This study emphasizes the urgency of increasing socialization, strengthening the applicant selection mechanism, optimizing resources, and support systems to improve the effectiveness of immigration services.

This study examines the dynamics of Islamic civilization and cultural expressions in Southeast Asia through a comparative analysis of Muslim communities in Indonesia and Thailand. Southeast Asia represents a unique region where Islam has interacted with diverse local traditions, producing distinctive cultural forms and civilizational patterns. The research aims to explore how Islamic values, cultural traditions, and historical experiences shape the development of Muslim societies in both countries.Using a qualitative comparative approach, this study analyzes historical sources, academic literature, and socio-cultural practices within Muslim communities in Indonesia and Thailand. The research focuses on three main aspects: the historical development of Islam, the interaction between Islamic teachings and local cultures, and the role of cultural practices in shaping contemporary Muslim identity.  The findings reveal that Islamic civilization in Southeast Asia is characterized by adaptability, cultural negotiation, and pluralistic expressions. In Indonesia, Islamic cultural expressions tend to be more institutionalized and integrated within national cultural frameworks, while in Thailand, Muslim communities maintain strong cultural identities through local traditions and religious institutions despite existing within a predominantly Buddhist society.  This study contributes to the broader discourse on Islamic civilization by demonstrating that cultural diversity and local adaptation play significant roles in shaping Muslim societies in Southeast Asia. Understanding these dynamics provides deeper insight into the relationship between religion, culture, and civilization in pluralistic societies.

The use of digital technology in MSMEs is still uneven, especially in small businesses that still rely on manual recording such as at Toko Ibu Siti, so that the transaction process becomes slow and there is a risk of errors. This activity aims to implement an on-premise-based cashier system that is in accordance with business conditions and helps improve user understanding in operating it. The method used is qualitative descriptive with a participatory approach through observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The results of the activity show that there are quite clear changes, where the transaction process becomes faster, recording is neater, and the stock of goods is easier to monitor. In addition, users can run the system independently after training, with a response that tends to be positive. The implementation of this system also encourages technology adaptation in the business environment, improves the accuracy of sales data, and enables business owners to make more effective information-based decisions. Overall, the implementation of this system is able to help improve work efficiency, reduce human error, and encourage the use of technology in small-scale businesses so as to support the sustainable growth of MSMEs.

Inflectional morphemes are of great importance in linguistic analysis, especially when applied to speech delivered in various contexts. We explore the complexity of inflectional morphemes through an analysis of Linda McMahon’s Speech script titled “Our Department’s Final Mission.” Inflectional morphemes are also known as grammatical morphemes, as their primary function is to provide grammatical information about a word without altering its core meaning or lexical category. These inflectional morphemes include possessive morphemes (-‘s/s’), plural morphemes (-s/es), third-person singular present morphemes (-s), past morphemes(-d/ed), present/progressive particles (-ing), past participle (-en), comparative particles (-er), and superlative particles (-est). Therefore, this study focuses on understanding the types of inflectional morphemes used in Linda McMahon’s speech script. The main theory of inflectional morphemes is based on an understanding of grammatical function, affixation processes, and categories in the language system. The researcher identified 7 categories of inflectional morphemes. The result showed that 99 inflectional morphemes were found in Linda McMahon’s speech script. There were 46 plural morphemes (-s), 26 present/progressive particle morphemes (-ing), 19 past tense morphemes (-ed), 4 possessive morphemes (-‘s/s’), 2 third-person singular present morphemes (-s),1 comparative morpheme (-er), and 1 superlative morpheme (-est). It can be conclude that the most dominant category in the analysis is the plural morpheme (-s) and the least dominant is the comparative (-er) and superlative (-est) morpheme. Its is hoped that this study can provide solutions in determining the types of inflectional morphemes in a speech script.

History learning plays a strategic role in developing students’ critical, analytical, and reflective thinking skills. However, instructional practices that still emphasize memorization of facts often fail to foster higher-order thinking abilities. This article aims to examine the implementation of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS)-based history learning as an effort to support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4, namely quality education. The HOTS approach in history learning emphasizes students’ abilities to analyze, evaluate, and create through activities such as interpreting historical sources, solving contextual problems, and engaging in critical discussions of past events. The method used in this study is a literature review by analyzing various sources related to HOTS-based learning strategies and their implementation in history education. The findings indicate that the application of HOTS enhances student engagement, deepens conceptual understanding, and fosters historical awareness relevant to contemporary life. In addition, HOTS-based learning encourages students to develop reflective thinking and make better-informed decisions. The implementation of HOTS in history learning aligns with the principles of SDG 4, which emphasize inclusive, equitable, and quality education. Therefore, integrating HOTS into history instruction not only improves the quality of the learning process but also contributes to the development of a generation that is critical, creative, and adaptive in facing global challenges.

Spinal anesthesia is one of the regional anesthesia methods that is often chosen in various surgical procedures, especially in the area of the lower extremities, pelvis, and lower abdomen. The most common complication encountered in this technique is the occurrence of hypotension, which can affect tissue perfusion and hemodynamic stability of the patient. This study aims to examine the incidence of hypotension in spinal anesthesia, including mechanisms, risk factors, and management. The method used in this study is literature review with a scientific source search process conducted through various databases PUBMED, Sciencedirect, Researchgate, and Google Scholar with a publication year range of 2016 to 2026. The results showed that hypotension arises as a consequence of an obstacle in the sympathetic nervous system, which provokes dilation of blood vessels as well as reduced venous return. Risk factors include age, body mass index, patient position, block height, duration of surgery, fluid status, Injection Point, and type of anesthetic drug used. Management is carried out by administering fluids, vasopressors, as well as strict hemodynamic monitoring. A good understanding of the risk factors and mechanisms of hypotension is expected to improve patient safety during spinal anesthesia..

The development of digital media has encouraged various forms of identity representation on video-sharing platforms such as YouTube. In this context, mukbang content functions not only as entertainment but also as a medium for constructing creators’ personal branding. This study aims to analyze how personal branding is constructed in food vlogging and mukbang content produced by Tanboy Kun on YouTube. This research employs a qualitative approach using qualitative content analysis to identify communication patterns, visual representations, and thematic consistency within the videos. The analysis is based on six indicators of personal branding by Montoya and Vandehey (2002): specialization, personality, distinctiveness, visibility, persistence, and goodwill, reinforced by Roland Barthes’ semiotic approach at the levels of denotation, connotation, and myth. The findings indicate that personal branding is constructed through the consistent concept of extreme and spicy food as specialization, expressive communication style as personality, content differentiation as distinctiveness, upload intensity as visibility, format continuity as persistence, and positive image formation through attitudes and interaction as goodwill. These results demonstrate that personal branding in mukbang content is strategically formed through consistent and structured representation. This study contributes to digital communication research, particularly in understanding personal identity construction in video-based media.

The development of artificial intelligence (AI) has brought about significant changes in higher education, particularly in how students acquire, understand, and manage academic information. This study aims to deeply understand students' experiences using AI as a learning tool and explore how they interpret the technology's role in supporting academic activities. A qualitative phenomenological approach was used, with three informants selected purposively from various study programs actively using AI. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that students view AI as an effective tool for improving learning efficiency, deepening conceptual understanding, and motivating them to be more independent and creative. However, challenges were also identified, including dependence on technology, doubts about the accuracy of information, and concerns about academic ethics violations such as digital plagiarism. Student experiences also demonstrate that AI plays a dual role as both a learning tool and a cognitive partner in the modern learning process. Therefore, the use of AI needs to be directed wisely and accompanied by strong digital literacy to balance technological convenience and the development of critical thinking skills. These findings emphasize the importance of adaptive, humanistic, and ethical learning strategies in the era of digital higher education transformation.

This study aims to analyze the practice of interfaith communication in the process of institutionalizing multicultural values in Pekalongan City. The study uses a qualitative approach with ethnographic methods through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation of religious leaders involved in interfaith communication activities. The results show that the practice of interfaith communication occurs through dialogue between religious leaders and open communication interactions in various community forums. From the perspective of George Herbert Mead's symbolic interaction, this communication process demonstrates an exchange of meaning (mind) that builds a shared understanding of tolerance and respect for differences. In addition, interfaith communication also shapes the self-awareness of religious leaders as social agents maintaining harmony (self) while strengthening inclusive social relations in a multicultural society (society). The research findings indicate that interfaith communication functions in two ways: first, as a means of dialogue between religious leaders, and second, as a social mechanism in the institutionalization of multicultural values that supports the realization of religious harmony in Pekalongan City.
