This internship program aimed to provide practical experience for students from Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara in understanding public service management across religious communities and personnel governance within government institutions. The internship took place at the Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Medan City, an institution playing a strategic role in delivering religious services and managing civil servants. The main focus of this study was on cross-religious public services and the implementation of personnel management systems. The findings indicate that the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Medan City applies principles of fairness, tolerance, and professionalism in delivering cross-religious public services, supported by an organized and structured personnel governance system. This internship offers significant benefits to students by enhancing their practical knowledge, administrative skills, and professional attitudes, especially in handling diversity within the public sector. By experiencing the management of public services and personnel governance, students gained valuable insights into the operational challenges and strategies employed in the public administration of religious affairs.

Amid rising challenges of intolerance, social polarization, and the strengthening of exclusive religious sentiments, interreligious dialogue has become a strategic instrument for nurturing diversity and reinforcing national harmony. This study examines how interreligious dialogue contributes to strengthening the pillars of harmony as outlined in the concept of the Tri Kerukunan Umat Beragama (Three Pillars of Religious Harmony). It also explores the extent to which this concept remains relevant and effective in addressing the current dynamics of religious diversity in Indonesia. The purpose of this research is to analyze the role of dialogue as a mechanism of cross-faith communication in fostering mutual understanding, cultivating respect for differences, and promoting harmonious social relations within a pluralistic society. Using a qualitative approach through a comprehensive literature review, this study investigates various scholarly works related to interfaith dialogue, religious harmony, and Indonesia’s socio-religious landscape.The findings indicate that interreligious dialogue functions not only as a means of resolving differences and preventing conflict but also as a transformative space that strengthens trust, cooperation, and solidarity across religious communities. This article discusses the importance of developing a Christian Religious Education (PAK) model based on Christian theology and implemented through the active role of the church in carrying out the Great Commission. True Christian education does not only convey doctrinal information, but also forms the character, spirituality, and calling of the people based on the word of God. The church is positioned as a learning community and the main implementer of the contextual, transformative, and biblical theology-rooted faith education process. Through a qualitative-descriptive approach and literature study, this paper emphasizes that theological foundations, such as God as the source of education, the Bible as the basis of teaching, Christ as the focus, and the church as the implementer, are inseparable elements of PAK. Christian Religious Education based on theology provides clear direction in designing content, methods, and learning objectives that are in line with God's will. Thus, this education model is expected to be able to answer the challenges of the times, strengthen the faith of the congregation, and produce strong and relevant followers of Christ in society.

Etymologically, Masjid comes from the word “سَجَدَ” (Sajada), in Arabic meaning “prostration” or “submission” to Allah Swt, this word reflects the act of prostration, which is putting the forehead, hands, knees, and feet to the ground in respect and obedience. Historically, the term Masjid is also found in inscriptions from the 5th century BC as Masgid, meaning “Sacred Pillar” or “Place of Worship”. Thus, the Masjid has a deep meaning related to worship and devotion to God in Islam. One of the mosques that is often used as a center of religious studies for Gen-Z is the Al Lathif Mosque located on Jalan Saninten No. 2 Cihapit, Bandung Wetan District, Bandung City, West Java 40114, the form of studies conducted at the Al Lathif Mosque by labeling the study with a name that is easily accepted by Gen-Z, namely Tongkrongan Rohani Anak Muda. The purpose of writing this article is to find out and explain the role of Al Lathif Mosque as a center of religious studies for Gen-Z. This research uses the Questionnaire Method, this method is used to see how much Gen-Z people know and like the studies held at the Al Lathif Mosque.

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the demonstration teaching method in improving the learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) for eighth-grade students at SMP Budi Utomo, Srono. The demonstration teaching method was chosen because it provides students with direct experience, allowing them to understand the material more clearly and practically. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation, and were then analyzed by systematically describing the findings based on facts and phenomena observed in the field. The results of the study show that the implementation of the demonstration teaching method was carried out through three main stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. During the planning stage, the teacher prepares relevant materials and teaching aids for the topic being taught. The implementation stage involves using visual media and teaching aids to clarify the explanation of the material, while engaging students in the demonstration activities directly. In the evaluation stage, the teacher provides feedback to assess the students' understanding of the material taught. The application of the demonstration method has a positive impact on the students' learning outcomes. The study shows that students experienced an increase in their understanding of IRE material, greater enthusiasm for learning, and improved responsiveness to issues in their surrounding environment. Additionally, group learning activities during the teaching process strengthened communication skills among students. Therefore, this method proves to be effective in enhancing the quality of classroom learning.

The process of learning Islamic Religious Education in SLB N Banjarnegara is an educational interaction between students and the school environment. In this case, schools are given the freedom to choose the most effective learning strategies, methods and techniques according to the characteristics of the subjects, characteristics of students, characteristics of teachers, and resources available at the school. With this freedom, researchers are interested in conducting further research related to the implementation of Islamic Religious Education learning for students in SLBN Banjarnegara. This study aims to describe the implementation of Islamic Religious Education learning for students in SLBN Banjarnegara. This type of research is field research (Field Research) with a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. While the data analysis method uses Data Reduction, Data Presentation, and Conclusion Drawing. Based on the results of the research conducted by the author on the implementation of Islamic Religious Education learning for students with special needs in SLB N Banjarnegara. There are three results from this study, including (1) The concept of Islamic Religious Education learning for students with special needs (2) implementing the application of Islamic Religious Education learning with various strategies (3) Constraints and supporters of the Islamic Religious Education learning process for students with special needs. For the implementation process, the teacher delivers material that is adjusted to the abilities of the students. Meanwhile, the methods used by the teacher are lecture methods, questions and answers, and practice. In addition, it is supported by using media so that students are interested and focused on following the learning. In addition, the teacher also does not give many assignments or questions but rather does more repetition. Meanwhile, the evaluation carried out on mentally retarded children is adjusted to the abilities of the students themselves. The evaluation tools used by the teacher do not specifically have documents.

This study examines the application of the hermeneutical approach in Islamic studies from the perspective of contextual Islamic Religious Education (IRE). The problem underlying this research is the dominance of textual and normative learning patterns in Islamic education that are often disconnected from contemporary social and cultural realities. The study aims to describe the hermeneutic concepts of Fazlur Rahman’s “double movement” and Hans-Georg Gadamer’s “fusion of horizons” and to analyze their relevance in developing contextual IRE. This research employs a qualitative library research method by analyzing recent scientific literature (2021–2025) from national and international journals. The findings reveal that hermeneutics provides a methodological and philosophical foundation for transforming IRE from rote-based learning into reflective, dialogical, and contextual learning. This study concludes that hermeneutics can be used as a conceptual and practical framework to strengthen the relevance of Islamic education in addressing modern challenges. However, the study’s limitation lies in its theoretical nature, so further empirical research is recommended to test the effectiveness of hermeneutic-based pedagogical models in classroom settings.

This study aims to examine the actualization of Islamic creed (aqidah) values and work ethic among students of the Aqidah and Islamic Philosophy Department, Faculty of Ushuluddin and Islamic Studies, UIN Sumatera Utara Medan, during their internship program at the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) of Medan Kota District. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach using observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The findings indicate that aqidah values such as honesty, trustworthiness, sincerity, and responsibility are manifested in administrative tasks, religious counseling activities, and public religious services. Furthermore, the Islamic work ethic of the students is reflected in discipline, professionalism, cooperation, and commitment to work quality. The integration of aqidah values and work ethic fosters a service-oriented and devotional work pattern, indicating that the internship program serves not only as practical learning but also as a medium for internalizing Islamic values within the context of public religious services.

The topic of marrying women who conceive before marriage continues to spark debate in Islamic law, with diverse viewpoints across Muslim communities. Lack of awareness about Islamic rules and governmental policies frequently results in unions that defy both sharia teachings and applicable laws. This piece explores Islamic fiqh opinions on the marriage of unmarried pregnant women and evaluates how this is applied in marriage services at the Religious Affairs Office in Medan Timur District. The study adopts a qualitative framework using juridical-normative and empirical methods. Data was obtained by reviewing fiqh literature, legal regulations, and conducting interviews with KUA officials. The research reveals that ulama hold differing views on the acceptability of marrying a woman pregnant due to adultery, especially concerning the marriage ceremony timing and the child's familial status. Practically, the Medan Timur KUA follows guidelines from the Islamic Law Compilation and state administrative norms, all while exercising prudence. This investigation is intended to provide clearer insights for the public and act as a benchmark for Islamic law professionals facing similar scenarios.

This research is motivated by the low pragmatic competence of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) students, which is shown by the high rate of pragmatic failure (65%) and learning participation (40%), as well as the lack of contextual teaching materials. The purpose of the research is to identify learning barriers, then design, and test the initial impact of pragmatic teaching material innovation based on local wisdom through language play methods. With the Design-Based Research (DBR) approach involving teachers and students of MI in Central Java, data was collected through interviews, observations, and document studies, and then analyzed thematically. The results of the study revealed three main obstacles: (1) non-contextual teaching materials, (2) limited methodological skills of teachers, and (3) low student motivation. As a solution, "PRAGAMALOKA" teaching materials were developed that transform the values of local wisdom (tepo seliro, gotong royong) and traditional games (dakon) into the core of pragmatic learning scenarios. The limited trial showed a significant increase in student engagement and positive response. This study concludes that substantive integration between local content, pragmatic goals, and play methods is the key to creating authentic and meaningful learning. Implicitly, this development model can be adopted to design other contextual teaching materials, with recommendations for further experimental tests to measure their comparative effectiveness.

Learning Islamic Education is a conscious effort carried out by teacher in the form of preparation for students to know, understand, and practice the Islamic teachings that have been studied, through conselling, guiding, or training activities in order to achieve the goals setting. In the subject of Islamic education, we could find the topics focussing on the formation of students’ morals. This study aims to describe the implementation of Islamic Religious Education learning and determine the values ​​of social attitudes during the learning at State Elementary School or SD Negeri III Sukaslamet.This study is qualitative research. The data of the study is collected from interviewing students, conducting the observation and having documentation. This study adopts a purposive sampling technique to take samples.The study reveals that the feedback method is used in the implementation of Islamic religious education learning. And appropriate strategies are formulated as well to convey the material to students. And the study indicates that values ​​of honesty, courtesy, trustworthiness, respect for others, and obedience to parents are found in the learning of Islamic religious education.

This research aims to analyze the concept and implications of nusyuz's actions in divorce cases in the Religious Courts. Nusyuz is defined as a wife's defiance of her obligations to her husband. Nusyuz is also often the basis for filing divorce lawsuits, especially divorce petitions for divorce by the husband. This study examines how nusyuz actions are taken into consideration by Religious Court judges in deciding divorce cases, as well as their impact on the wife's rights, such as those related to iddah liaving, mut'ah living, and child custody. By using normative juridical methods based on analysis of direct trials and court decisions, this research finds that nusyuz actions have significant legal consequences for wives, especially in terms of living and other rights after divorce. However, there are also variations in the judge's assessment of the evidence of nusyuz's actions, which has implications for the final outcome of the divorce case.

This study aims to determine efforts to improve student learning outcomes about funeral prayers through demonstration methods in Islamic religious education learning. The subjects in this study were students who participated in teaching and learning activities in funeral prayers. The method used in this study was classroom action research. Data were collected using observation sheets and interviews. Data analysis was carried out using qualitative descriptive techniques. The results of the analysis in cycle I showed that as many as 85% of students got a complete score in the ability to understand the material about funeral prayers. While in cycle II as many as 99% of students got a complete score in the ability to demonstrate funeral prayers. The results of the study showed that the application of the demonstration method can increase student learning motivation in the material of funeral prayers. Therefore, it is recommended that the demonstration method be applied more in learning in schools so that it can increase student learning motivation and the overall quality of learning.

By prioritizing the values of peace and mutual respect, Christian religious education has the potential to reduce conflict and promote harmony in a diverse society. Therefore, education about pluralism and the rights of adherents of other religions in the religious education curriculum is very important, in order to strengthen social solidarity and intercultural cooperation.

Marriage dispensation is a civil case, namely granting permission to prospective brides and grooms who wish to marry but are prevented by age requirements according to the provisions of Law Number 16 of 2019. Marriage is a sacred thing to form a family. The Religious Court is the place where marriage dispensation cases are filed. Compelling reasons with supporting evidence must accompany the case application. This article is using normative research, and the Statue Approach and Case Approach research types. This research aims to analyze the decision of the Surabaya religious court number 2194/Pdt.P/2024/PA.Sby. This article covers the chronology of the trial, Judge considerations, and factors that influence the judges to rejector grant request for the marriage dispensation.

Marriage is a sacred relationship that occurs between a man and a woman with the aim of building a prosperous family. However, in reality, family life can face various situations that cause unhappiness and lead to the dissolution of a marriage. One example of divorce is when a husband disappears without a trace, leaving his wife behind. This research aims to explain and examine the supernatural divorce case based on decision number 1301/Pdt.G/2024/PA.Sby and analyze the judge's considerations in making decisions regarding the case. This research uses normative legal methods, with data collection techniques through literature review. The judge's reasons in cases of unseen divorce include the absence of the defendant whose whereabouts have not been identified or who have been declared missing, as well as the existence of documents from the sub-district explaining the ignorance of the position of the party concerned. The trial can be terminated in verstek if the defendant, having been legally summoned by the court, is still absent for no apparent reason..

At the junior high school level (SMP), students begin to recognize the importance of values ​​of togetherness in diversity. However, this understanding does not always run smoothly because of cultural and background differences that can affect the way students interact with each other. This study uses a descriptive approach. The purpose of this study is to analyze students' attitudes towards ethnic diversity in class VIII of a private junior high school. Data collected through questionnaires will be analyzed to obtain an overview of students' attitudes towards diversity related to the topic and objectives of the research applied. The results of the study showed that there were no significant differences in attitudes between students with different ethnic backgrounds. This means that positive attitudes towards ethnic diversity are evenly distributed among various ethnic backgrounds, indicating that ethnic factors are not a barrier to social interaction in the classroom, where most students have similar views on the importance of respecting differences and working together with friends from different ethnic groups.

Extracurricular activities of Rohani Islam (Rohis) have an important role in character building and developing students' religious skills. This article aims to describe the process of mentoring student learning through Rohis extracurricular activities, especially in the field of religious lectures at SMKN 3 Palangka Raya. The method used in this activity is structured mentoring with a participatory approach. The results of this mentoring showed an increase in students' confidence in delivering religious lectures as well as their understanding of Islamic materials. This activity also has a positive impact in strengthening morals and religious values among students.

The aim of this inquiry is to excavate a profound comprehension concerning the quest for a polygamy license, by delving into the judicial decree regarding the rationale of the Surabaya Religious Tribunal in bestowing such a license, scrutinizing and dissecting the juridical and communal dimensions of ruling number 1751/Pdt.G/2024/PA. Sby. Here, the Seeker sought approval for polygamy against the Opponent due to the Opponent’s incapacity to satisfy the Seeker’s carnal desires, attributed to the presence of diabetes. The quandaries investigated pertain to the statutes and stipulations governing polygamy petitions and the Jurist’s rationale in adjudicating the polygamy license request. This investigation employs a normative jurisprudence technique, drawing upon an examination of texts, and adopts a legislative framework in its approach. The findings of this examination indicate that the Panel of Jurists factors in both legal and compassionate facets in its deliberations.

This study aims to optimize the use of technology-based learning media and textbooks in the teaching of Islamic Religious Education at SMP Muhammadiyah 57 Medan. The current issue in learning is the limited utilization of technology that supports effective learning interaction and the lack of media variety used in delivering material. This research employs a qualitative method through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The findings reveal that the use of technology-based media such as infocus, laptops, and visual materials significantly improves students' understanding of Islamic Religious Education topics. Textbooks still play a crucial role as a primary supporting medium, but integration with technology results in a more dynamic and engaging learning interaction. Challenges include limited infrastructure and teacher training, but these can be addressed with school management support and continuous professional development.
