Background: The development of modern manufacturing systems requires production scheduling strategies that not only improve productivity but also optimize energy utilization. Multi-machine production systems with job-shop configurations exhibit high complexity due to dynamic interactions between machines, job queues, and varying processing times, making conventional scheduling methods less effective in handling changing operational conditions. Objective: This study aims to develop and evaluate a reinforcement learning based production scheduling approach to improve production efficiency while reducing energy consumption in multi-machine manufacturing systems. Methods: This research employs a job-shop based multi-machine production simulation model as the experimental environment. The scheduling problem is formulated as a Markov Decision Process, enabling the implementation of reinforcement learning algorithms, namely Q-learning and Deep Q-Network, to learn optimal scheduling policies through interaction with the simulation environment. Energy consumption parameters are incorporated into the reward function so that the learning agent can consider energy efficiency in the scheduling decision-making process. System performance is evaluated using three main metrics, namely energy consumption, throughput, and makespan. Results: The experimental results show that the reinforcement learning based scheduling approach achieves better performance compared to conventional scheduling methods, resulting in lower energy consumption, higher job completion rates, and shorter production completion times within the multi-machine manufacturing system.

This study analyzes the legal framework and social implications of the modification licensing process in customary buildings. Modifications are often carried out in response to modernization, material changes, and contemporary functional needs, which have the potential to clash with efforts to preserve cultural values and local wisdom. Using a qualitative approach with case studies in several indigenous villages in Indonesia, data was collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and review of licensing documents and related policies. The results of the study show that there is a tension between formal licensing laws (such as Building Permits/IMB) and customary laws that apply in local communities. An effective licensing process requires intensive dialogue and collaboration between local government authorities, customary institutions, and building owners to ensure modifications still respect the values contained in cultural heritage. The study recommends a flexible and consultation-based licensing framework that harmoniously integrates positive legal aspects and customary norms, while promoting community awareness and participation in heritage conservation.

In this study, we will discuss the concept of Islamic education from Buya Hamka's perspective. Buya Hamka was an Indonesian Muslim cleric and scholar with a profound perspective on the relationship between knowledge, faith, and morality. The purpose of this study is to analyze aspects of Islamic education according to Buya Hamka and their relevance to the modern education system. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive approach, drawing on relevant academic literature such as journals, books, and articles. This research concludes that Buya Hamka views Islamic education as an effort to shape a holistic human being, balancing spiritual, intellectual, moral, and social aspects. Hamka emphasized that education is not only intended to cultivate the intellect but also to purify the heart and develop noble character. According to Hamka, Islamic education must be grounded in monotheism, direct educators as role models of morality, and integrate religious and intellectual knowledge for the benefit of the community. Buya Hamka's perspective is sufficient to address the challenges of modern education, which tends to focus on academic values without considering the instilling of moral and spiritual values.

The epistemology of modern science develops with the assumption that neutrality and objectivity distinguish facts from values. This belief leads to the reduction of values, especially those related to ethical, metaphysical, and spiritual values, during the development of science. The purpose of this paper is to examine the problem of value reduction in the epistemology of modern science and to examine the Islamization of science as an epistemic alternative. This research method is qualitative, literature-based, and critical-philosophical. Epistemological critiques of value-free science, based on positivism and modern empiricism, and a study of the theory of the Islamization of science by Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas and Ismail Raji al-Faruqi are used to complete the analysis. The results of this study indicate that the epistemological separation between facts and values in contemporary science leads to a decline in values. The Islamization of science offers an alternative epistemic framework that positions science as a meaningful, valuable, and goal-oriented activity. Thus, without rejecting the methodological progress of contemporary science, it remains a plausible option. Despite lingering problems with the methodological formulation, this article asserts that the Islamization of science is relevant as a theoretical response to the crisis of values in the epistemology of modern science.

This research explores how monopoly markets operate in the context of a sharia-based microeconomy, with a primary focus on how prices are regulated based on the principle of adl or justice. Unlike traditional monopolies, which often create inefficiencies in resource allocation and exploit consumers, Islamic teachings require fair prices, in accordance with the Quran's prohibition of gharar (uncertainty) and zulm (oppression). Referring to the theories of Ibn Taymiyyah and modern thinkers such as Chapra, we examine how monopoly companies can achieve maslahah or mutual benefit through profit restrictions, combining prices with zakat, and supervision by a sharia council. Through a simple mathematical model, we prove that monopolies regulated by justice produce better Pareto outcomes than equilibria that only maximize profits, by reducing social losses while still encouraging innovation. Empirical data from Islamic markets in Indonesia, such as halal commodities, support these findings, where regulations can stabilize prices at 15-20% lower. The conclusion of this study highlights the importance of Sharia principles in managing sustainable markets in developing countries, with policy recommendations to reform antitrust rules to align with the maqasid al-Shariah.

Local Revenue (PAD) refers to the income obtained by regional governments from sources within their own jurisdiction, such as taxes and local levies. One of the important components of PAD is market levies, which are collected from traders as a fee for the use of market facilities. This study aims to analyze the contribution of market levies to PAD in North Toraja Regency. The method used in this study is descriptive quantitative, utilizing secondary data from the Bapenda of North Toraja for the period of 2020–2024. The results of the study show that the contribution of market levies to PAD fluctuates with a downward trend. In 2020, the contribution was recorded at 1.17%, but by 2024, it decreased to 0.71%. This decline is attributed to several factors, including increased competition from modern markets that are more attractive to consumers, a decrease in the number of buyers visiting traditional markets, and arrears from traders, which has led to suboptimal revenue collection from levies. These findings highlight the importance of efforts by local governments to enhance the appeal of traditional markets and manage levies more effectively in order to increase their contribution to PAD in the future.

Welfare for the poor is the most important topic in improving citizens. Islam as Ad-diin has offered several teachings for humans that apply universally with two dimensional characteristics, namely happiness and well-being in life in this world and in the hereafter. In the concept of the modern world, welfare is a condition where a person can fulfill basic needs, be it the need for food, clothing, shelter, clean drinking water as well as the opportunity to continue education and have adequate work that can support the quality of life so as to have a social status that leads to the same social status as other citizens. ZIS as an extension of the government in helping the needs of the poor with the aim of improving the welfare of the community who initially as zakat recipients turned into zakat givers, so that later the funds used will be evenly distributed and felt by the wider community. as well as purifying assets that may be accidentally mixed with assets that are forbidden for consumption. The urgency of ZIS in Sidowungu is one of the main elements of effective and efficient zakat management in order to realize the welfare of the community. As for the discussion of this article about the welfare pattern for the poor as the process of distributing ZIS funds in Sidowungu Village. The method used in this article is a quantitative approach. The subjects of this study were 165 poor people in Sidowungu Village, while the sample size was 65 poor people using probability sampling. The results of the study, processed using the PASW SPSS 23 for Windows program, showed that partial test results for H0 were rejected and H1 was accepted if the calculated t value was greater than the table t value or the sig value was less than 0.05. This means that the distribution of funds partially affected the welfare of the poor in Sidowungu Village. The magnitude of the influence between variables can be seen from the coefficient of determination of 0.079, meaning that 79.0% of the welfare of the poor in Sidowungu Village was influenced by the distribution of ZIS funds, while the remaining 21.0% was influenced by other variables not included in this study.

This study analyzes the process of construction and resistance to the double burden experienced by the character Kaluna in the film Home Sweet Loan (2024) through the perspective of Judith Butler's gender performativity. Using qualitative content analysis on 13 key scenes, it was found that Kaluna's double burden of office work and bearing the economic and domestic responsibilities of an extended family was constructed through stylized repetition of acts. The results show that Kaluna experiences a double burden of professional and domestic work shaped by social norms and family expectations. However, the film also depicts Kaluna's resistance to this construction through verbal and emotional actions and personal decisions that challenge the patriarchal structure. This study concludes that Home Sweet Loan not only represents the double burden of modern women, but also shows women's agency in resisting and negotiating their gender identity. These actions deconstruct oppressive gender identities and form a new, independent subjectivity. The film emphasizes that the double burden of women is not a natural law, but rather a social performance that can be resisted.

The authority of the Religious Courts in Indonesia has undergone substantial transformation since the enactment of the 1974 Marriage Law, which serves as a foundational milestone in harmonizing the national legal system on family matters. Prior to this legislation, the jurisdiction of the Religious Courts was limited and influenced by legal dualism among customary law, Islamic law, and Western civil law inherited from the colonial period. This article examines how the Marriage Law initiated a shift in the structure and legitimacy of the Religious Courts and how their jurisdictional expansion reached a more comprehensive form through Law No. 7 of 1989 on Religious Courts and its subsequent amendments under Law No. 3 of 2006 and Law No. 50 of 2009. Using a normative juridical approach, this study analyzes statutory regulations, academic literature, and Islamic legal doctrines. The findings show that the Marriage Law provided the initial legal foundation for strengthening the Religious Courts' authority in handling family disputes, which was later expanded significantly to include inheritance, wills, grants, endowments (wakaf), alms (zakat), charitable donations (infaq and sadaqah), and Islamic economic matters during the legal reform era. This transformation not only reinforced the institutional structure of the Religious Courts but also improved access to justice for Muslim communities and supported the integration of Islamic law into Indonesia’s national legal framework. Therefore, the development of the Religious Courts’ authority after the Marriage Law reflects the dynamic modernization of the legal system and the harmonization between religious values and the rule of law in Indonesia.
