This study aims to develop a values-based strategic decision-making model within community-based Islamic educational institutions. Using SD Islam Al Ittihad as a case study, this research explores how Islamic values can guide institutional decisions to sustain educational quality without external debt. The research employs a qualitative case study approach with data collection through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data were analyzed using a triangulation method and supported by SWOT analysis through EFAS and IFAS matrices. The strategic decision-making process was further examined using Mintzberg's and Kepner-Tregoe's frameworks. The findings show that decision-making grounded in Islamic values enables educational institutions to achieve sustainability through strategic intuition, leadership commitment, and value-based planning. This research contributes a conceptual framework for Islamic educational leaders and policymakers seeking to integrate faith-driven values in governance and strategic planning. Further studies are suggested to test this model across various community-based schools to assess its broader applicability.

Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) as traditional Islamic educational institutions not only serve as places for shaping students’ character, morals, and spirituality but also hold great potential in developing community economic independence through the management of pesantren business units. These business units are a concrete manifestation of the values of independence, hard work, and responsibility taught in the pesantren’s educational process. The purpose of this study is to examine in depth the role of pesantren business units in supporting the economic self-reliance of the pesantren itself as well as their contribution to empowering the surrounding community. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach on several pesantren that have successfully developed various business units such as cooperatives, agriculture, livestock, garment production, and student shops. The results show that pesantren business units function not only as a means of entrepreneurship education for students but also as a primary source of funding to support the operational activities of the pesantren. In addition, they act as the driving force of the local economy by creating employment opportunities, increasing income, and promoting community-based economic empowerment. The success of pesantren business units is influenced by professional management, strong leadership support, and the ability to innovate and adapt to changing times.

This study aims to analyze how the integration of Islamic economic values operates in the management of School Operational Assistance (BOS) funds in Islamic schools and to identify supporting and inhibiting factors, as well as stakeholders’ perceptions regarding the application of sharia values in financial administrative practices. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing stages. The findings reveal that Islamic economic principles such as amanah (trustworthiness), sidq (honesty), al-‘adl (justice), and mas’uliyyah (accountability) have been internalized within the organizational culture and individual behavior of school managers, although not yet fully institutionalized. Supporting factors include religious leadership, Islamic ethical organizational culture, and community participation, while the main constraints involve limited human resources, low literacy in sharia accounting, and the absence of a faith-based monitoring system. Stakeholders demonstrate a strong moral awareness of sharia values but with limited technical understanding. The study concludes that effective integration requires synergy between spiritual values, technical capacity, and institutional policies to establish transparent and socially just financial governance in Islamic education institutions.

This study is entitled Community-Based Non-Formal Education Model of PERMAI Guidance Center for Indonesian Immigrant Children in Penang, Malaysia. This center is an educational facility for Indonesian immigrant children in Malaysia who do not have official citizenship documents. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The purpose of this study is to determine the education model used by the PERMAI Guidance Center as a community-based non-formal education institution for Indonesian immigrant children in Malaysia. The theory used in this study is the concept of Community-Based Non-Formal Education (PBK). The results of the study show that the educational curriculum used by the PERMAI Guidance Center is the Equivalency Education Curriculum (Packages A, B, and C). This curriculum is a non-formal education system equivalent to formal education (Package A is equivalent to elementary school, Package B is equivalent to junior high school, and Package C is equivalent to high school) recognized by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. The adoption of this curriculum is the main pillar for providing legitimacy and recognition of the education received by immigrant children at the PERMAI Guidance Center. Meanwhile, the education model used reflects the theory of transnationalism. This is manifested in two key aspects, namely the preservation of identity and the curriculum of the country of origin, as well as functional needs in the host country.

The Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) is a community organization that plays a vital role in improving family welfare in Indonesia. Through various programs, the PKK contributes to family empowerment, particularly in education, health, and economics. However, many PKK activities are still conducted manually, including recording and managing member data and activities. This creates several challenges, such as difficulty in archiving, time-consuming information searches, and difficulties in preparing accurate and timely reports. This research aims to design and develop a web-based information system that can simplify member data management, activity recording, attendance management, and report generation more quickly, efficiently, and accurately. This system will be designed using an object-oriented approach, involving several stages, starting from needs analysis, system design, implementation, and system testing. This information system is expected to improve service efficiency, facilitate PKK administrators in monitoring member activity, and support a more precise and weighted data-based decision-making process. Another advantage is that this system will also facilitate the PKK in producing faster, more comprehensive, and more structured activity reports, thereby increasing organizational transparency and accountability. Therefore, this web-based information system is expected to be a solution to improve the PKK's performance in carrying out its function of empowering family welfare.
