Adolescence is a crucial period in individual development, marked by significant physical, cognitive, and emotional changes. Juvenile delinquency is a concerning issue with broad implications for individuals, families, and society. This study aims to examine the effect of poster media on adolescents' knowledge and attitudes regarding juvenile delinquency at SMA Negeri 8 Kota Jambi.   This study used a quasi-experimental design with a quantitative approach. The study sample consisted of 40 students of class X.1 selected by total sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires administered before and after the intervention. Data analysis was performed using a paired t-test to determine differences in the average scores of knowledge and attitudes before and after the intervention. The results showed a significant increase in students' knowledge and attitudes after being given poster media intervention. The average knowledge score increased from 11.15 to 17.65, and the average attitude score increased from 39.85 to 54.13. The paired t-test showed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05) for both variables. Poster media is effective in increasing adolescents' knowledge and attitudes regarding juvenile delinquency. This study suggests that educational institutions can utilize poster media as an educational tool in juvenile delinquency prevention programs.

Adolescence is a crucial developmental phase often marked by a lack of responsibility, which can lead to negative behaviors such as juvenile delinquency and promiscuity. Therefore, developing a responsible character in adolescents is essential to guide them toward positive behavior. One effective approach is through life skills education implemented in the local village (gampong) environment. This community service initiative aims to instill a sense of responsibility in adolescents by involving them in the planting and maintenance of family medicinal plants (TOGA). Through this activity, adolescents are expected to develop care, discipline, and responsibility, which are reflected in their commitment to nurturing the plants. The activity was implemented in Gampong Cot Alue, Ingin Jaya District, Aceh Besar, and carried out over two days, from February 14 to 15, 2025. The method used in the planning and execution of the TOGA planting involved five stages: (1) creating an activity plan, (2) preparing tools and materials, (3) preparing the planting area, (4) plant nurseries, and (5) creating plant identification markers. These stages were designed to introduce a structured approach to life skills and community engagement. The outcomes of the program demonstrated an increase in adolescents' awareness and understanding of the importance of TOGA. Additionally, there was a noticeable improvement in their sense of responsibility and participation in daily activities beyond school. The broader community, particularly the youth, gained valuable knowledge about the benefits of TOGA for disease prevention, treatment, and health maintenance, contributing to a healthier and more proactive lifestyle within the village environment.

The research adopts an action research or intervention-based approach using qualitative methods. It emphasizes the analysis of behavioral changes through direct field observations and in-depth interviews, focusing on the quality and impact of behavioral modification among adolescents. The intervention was designed to address the lack of awareness regarding personal hygiene, environmental cleanliness, and health routines commonly found in institutionalized adolescents. The study investigates the various factors that influence the success of behavior modification, including internal motivation, emotional regulation, and external support from caregivers, peers, and the living environment. The CBT-based modification process spanned 18 structured sessions, which included psychoeducation, cognitive restructuring, role-playing, habit formation, and reinforcement techniques. Additionally, environmental improvements and the availability of hygiene-related facilities were integrated to support the desired behavioral outcomes.  Findings reveal significant changes in daily hygiene practices among participants, such as increased frequency of handwashing, tidiness in personal belongings, regular bathing, and active participation in cleaning shared spaces. The support of peers and caregivers played a crucial role in maintaining consistency and motivation. The study concludes that CBT is an effective method for fostering awareness and instilling sustainable hygiene behaviors in adolescents living in orphanages. Based on these results, recommendations are proposed for integrating CBT-based hygiene programs into routine care at orphanages to promote long-term behavioral change and health awareness.

This study investigates the impact of toxic parenting on the mental health of late adolescents in Benda Baru, South Tangerang. The background of this research is rooted in the increasing number of adolescent mental health issues linked to unhealthy parenting practices, including excessive control, verbal abuse, physical violence, criticism, and neglect. The study aims to analyze the underlying causes of toxic parenting from the perspectives of adolescents, parents, and other family members, as well as to identify its psychological, social, and behavioral consequences. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving late adolescents aged 18–22, their parents, siblings, and key community informants. The findings indicate that toxic parenting often originates from intergenerational trauma, unresolved stress, and socio-cultural pressures, leading parents to adopt coercive and destructive parenting strategies. These practices contribute to significant mental health problems among adolescents, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, difficulties in social adaptation, and tendencies toward self-harm. The study underscores the importance of preventive efforts through parenting education, psychosocial support at the community level, and the development of youth-friendly mental health services. The implications suggest that multi-sector collaboration involving families, schools, community leaders, and local government is essential to create a supportive environment that can break the cycle of toxic parenting and promote adolescent well-being.
