This study aims to analyze workload in improving employee performance at PT XYZ Indonesia in Tangerang City. Two core informants and five key informants met the sample criteria. The method used was a qualitative descriptive phenomenological approach with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, documentation of company management, NVivo, triangulation, and SWOT analysis. The results of this study indicate that PT XYZ Indonesia's workload is managed flexibly through setting targets based on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) tailored to the capabilities of each employee. The work environment, both physical and non-physical, significantly influences work effectiveness and comfort. Some employees experience fatigue, especially when the workload increases, but the company provides compensation such as workload adjustments and work from home. The main obstacles in achieving targets are mostly caused by external factors such as client demands, the amount of work piling up, and limited work equipment. All employees follow clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and evaluations are conducted periodically to ensure the quality and quantity of performance are maintained. This research is expected to serve as a reference for companies in managing workloads and increasing employee productivity in the digital age.

Narcotics are substances or drugs, whether synthetic or semi-synthetic, derived from plants or non-plant materials that have the potential to cause disturbances or changes in human consciousness. Their use may result in loss of sensation, impaired taste, and, in more severe cases, strong dependency or addiction. While narcotics have undeniable benefits in the fields of medicine, healthcare, and scientific development—particularly in pain management and research—their misuse carries significant risks for both individuals and society. This study adopts a normative legal approach by analyzing existing regulations, statutory provisions, and relevant academic literature regarding narcotics and crime. The findings reveal that narcotics abuse is often closely linked to criminal behavior, as drug dependence can negatively influence psychological stability, decision-making, and social conduct, potentially driving individuals to engage in unlawful acts. Furthermore, crime is a relative concept shaped by context, culture, and societal norms, which means its connection with narcotics requires multidimensional analysis. Law enforcement efforts against narcotics-related crimes have been continuously pursued by authorities through preventive, repressive, and judicial measures, with various court rulings highlighting the gravity of the problem. However, legal enforcement alone is insufficient; a holistic strategy is needed that combines strict law enforcement with rehabilitation, psychological support, and community education. Such a comprehensive approach is expected to reduce narcotics misuse, prevent recidivism, and minimize its destructive impacts. Ultimately, this research seeks to provide deeper insights into the dynamic relationship between narcotics abuse and crime, while offering practical recommendations to achieve more effective solutions for protecting individuals, strengthening social resilience, and promoting public welfare

This article examines Herbert Marcuse's thoughts in One Dimensional Man as a critique of the dominance of technology and capitalism in shaping the one-dimensional consciousness of modern humans. Using a critical philosophical approach, this study examines how digital technology, which was originally projected as an instrument of liberation, has actually transformed into a subtle means of oppression through the mechanisms of false needs and irrational rationality. Instead of opening up a space for emancipation, technological developments often deepen human attachment to the logic of the consumption-oriented digital capitalist system. The main goal of this research is to reawaken critical awareness and human negation in the midst of virtual reality that increasingly dominates life in the Society 5.0 era. The results of the study show that digital humans tend to experience existential alienation, where deep reflection and authentic freedom are reduced by the flow of instant information, pseudo-entertainment, and consumptive lifestyles. This condition makes individuals trapped in a cycle of obedience to a system that seems rational, when in fact it covers structural dominance. The discussion emphasized the importance of emancipation efforts through the rejection of the dominant system and the reactivation of critical potential as a path to true freedom. Emancipation is understood not only as a release from the shackles of technology, but also as an effort to revive reflective consciousness that is able to negate false values. Thus, Marcuse's thought remains relevant to reading the crisis of contemporary human consciousness while providing a philosophical foundation for the formation of a reflective, independent, and autonomous subject.

This study focuses on the symbolic meanings embedded in the use of figurative language in the poetry anthology Selamat Menunaikan Ibadah Puisi by Joko Pinurbo. The research utilizes a descriptive qualitative approach, with semiotic analysis serving as the theoretical foundation. The purpose of this study is to examine how the figurative language used in the poems contributes to conveying deeper symbolic meanings, beyond their role as mere rhetorical devices. The findings of this research reveal that the figurative language within the poems plays a significant symbolic role in expressing complex themes such as inner suffering, memories, identity, alienation, and the quest for the meaning of life. Symbols like 'storm,' 'refrigerator,' 'dusk,' 'window,' 'door,' 'river,' and others are employed to represent abstract concepts, providing a more nuanced understanding of the human experience. The study identifies various types of figurative language, including metaphor, simile, personification, hyperbole, synecdoche, paradox, and irony. Each of these elements serves to enrich the meaning of the poems, adding layers of depth to the interpretation and enhancing the aesthetic experience for the reader. Through these figurative expressions, the poet effectively invites the reader to engage with both the emotional and intellectual dimensions of the poetry. This research emphasizes how Joko Pinurbo's use of figurative language transcends its traditional ornamental function, making it a powerful tool for conveying complex symbolic and existential themes. By analyzing the symbolic meanings in the poems, this study contributes to a deeper appreciation of the interplay between language, meaning, and emotion in contemporary Indonesian poetry.

Early character education plays a fundamental role in shaping a generation that is not only intelligent but also physically healthy, emotionally balanced, and morally responsible. The cultivation of these values from an early age is crucial to equip children with the resilience needed to face various social challenges in the future. This community service activity was designed to increase awareness among elementary school students regarding three critical issues: the dangers of drug abuse, the practices of bullying, and the detrimental impact of corruption. The program was conducted at SDN 1 Citeluk with the participation of approximately 80 students from grades IV to VI. The educational materials were delivered through an interactive approach combining lectures, group discussions, role-playing, and quizzes. This approach was selected to ensure that the learning process was enjoyable, engaging, and easily understood by children at the elementary school level. During the sessions, students were introduced to the basic concepts of drugs, their harmful effects on health and life, and the importance of avoiding them. Additionally, the program emphasized identifying the various forms of bullying—whether physical, verbal, or social—and encouraged students to develop empathy and mutual respect. Another important aspect addressed was corruption, where students were guided to recognize the value of honesty and integrity through relatable examples in daily life. The results of the activity revealed that students were able to clearly understand the dangers of drugs, recognize the different forms of bullying, and provide examples of honest and moral behavior. This indicates that early character education delivered through interactive and participatory methods can effectively enhance children’s comprehension of healthy and moral values. It is expected that similar programs can be carried out sustainably in elementary school settings as part of continuous character-building efforts to support the development of a responsible and ethical young generation

Operationally, subjective well-being can be understood as an individual's assessment of their life experiences, involving affective components in the form of positive and negative emotions, as well as cognitive components. Individuals with subjective well-being experience more positive emotions and fewer negative emotions, and feel satisfied with their lives. One factor that influences subjective well-being is academic resilience. The purpose of this study was to determine the contribution of academic resilience to subjective well-being in final year psychology students at Padang State University. The research subjects were 174 final year psychology students at Padang State University who were taking thesis courses. The research design used was quantitative. Data collection used a non-probability sampling technique. Data were analyzed using simple regression analysis techniques. The analysis results obtained a sig. value of 0.000 (sig <0.05) with an r-square value of 0.550. From the results obtained, it was concluded that there was a contribution of academic resilience to subjective well-being in final year psychology students at Padang State University. The findings of this study strengthen the view that academic resilience is an important aspect in facing complex academic challenges, especially for final year students. In recent years, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have increasingly positioned themselves as one of the main pillars of the Indonesian economy, contributing significantly to employment opportunities, income distribution, and economic resilience. In the local context, Cifest Cikarang Selatan represents a dynamic marketplace where various MSMEs operate and directly interact with consumers. An interesting phenomenon emerges during holiday periods, when consumer behavior shows significant changes, especially in terms of purchasing methods and preferences between online and offline channels. This study aims to explore the transformation of consumer behavior, focusing on the comparative analysis of online and offline purchases, and to evaluate its broader implications for the sustainability and competitiveness of MSMEs operating at Cifest. The research adopts a descriptive and analytical approach, using both recent statistical data and supporting literature to provide a comprehensive understanding of the digital era’s influence on shopping patterns. The findings reveal that online purchases continue to grow rapidly due to convenience, wider product access, and promotional offers that attract customers. However, offline purchases remain relevant, particularly for consumers who value direct product inspection, immediate ownership, and social interaction within traditional marketplaces. For MSMEs, this shift presents both challenges and opportunities. Those that rely solely on conventional offline strategies risk losing competitiveness, while those able to integrate digital platforms with traditional sales methods demonstrate greater adaptability and potential for growth. Overall, this study concludes that the sustainability of MSMEs in Cifest Cikarang Selatan depends largely on their ability to embrace digital transformation without neglecting the strengths of offline interactions. By leveraging both channels strategically, MSMEs can not only survive but also thrive in the increasingly competitive market landscape shaped by evolving consumer behavior.

This study examines the strategic role of Koperasi Desa Merah Putih (Red and White Village Cooperative) in accelerating the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Indonesia, using qualitative document analysis as the primary method. Key institutional documents—namely the Articles of Association/Bylaws (AD/ART) and the Village Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMDes)—were analyzed to identify cooperative values, integration into local development planning, and contributions to specific SDG indicators. Findings reveal that the cooperative’s core principles—voluntary membership, inclusivity, democratic governance, and equitable profit sharing—align strongly with SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth). The RPJMDes analysis indicates formal recognition of the cooperative as a driver of economic empowerment, gender equity, and sustainable community development, with potential scalability to other villages and rural areas in Indonesia. Further analysis demonstrates how the cooperative actively promotes women’s participation in leadership roles, supports income-generating activities for marginalized groups, and encourages the localization of economic value chains. These practices foster not only economic inclusion but also enhance community resilience and social cohesion. However, several challenges were identified. These include inconsistent documentation quality, lack of standardized performance metrics, and limited results-based evaluation frameworks that hinder a thorough impact assessment. Additionally, there remains a gap in digitalization, which affects data transparency and accessibility. The study’s novelty lies in its document-based approach, offering a replicable model for assessing SDG readiness in similar rural institutions. Unlike interview-based studies, this method reduces subjective bias and highlights the importance of formal governance structures.

Drug abuse among adolescents is a serious problem that requires comprehensive and sustainable prevention efforts. Adolescence is a developmental phase characterized by the search for identity, emotional instability, and high levels of influence from the social environment, including peers. In this context, family education plays a central role as the first line of defense in protecting adolescents from the negative influence of drugs. Through open communication, wise supervision, and consistent love and emotional support, parents can create a safe and supportive environment for their children's mental development. Effective family education includes strengthening moral, religious, and social values, aiming to shape adolescents' character and resilience to environmental pressures. In certain situations, family education also needs to be supported by a scientific approach, one of which is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). CBT is a psychological approach that focuses on improving negative thought patterns and behaviors. In the context of discussing drugs, CBT can help adolescents identify the emotional and social triggers that lead them to try illicit substances and equip them with strategies to cope healthily. The integration of family education and CBT therapy creates a comprehensive approach—from the home to professional support—to strengthen adolescents' mental resilience. This collaboration not only reduces the risk of addiction but also encourages adolescents to become more self-aware, emotionally healthy, and productive individuals. Therefore, synergy between families, schools, and mental health professionals is crucial in creating a drug-free generation of young people ready to face the challenges of modern life. Therefore, the active involvement of all parties, including educational institutions and the community, is essential to creating an environment that supports early drug prevention.

This study presents a systematic literature review (SLR) of public administration and policy implementation in Indonesia from 2009 to 2025, following the PRISMA framework. Drawing on 44 peer-reviewed articles indexed in Scopus, the review examines the impact of decentralization, digital transformation, and governance innovation on policy outcomes and administrative reform. The findings indicate that decentralization has enabled local experimentation and improved service responsiveness. However, it has also resulted in uneven policy capacity and governance disparities across regions. Sectoral implementation, especially in health, welfare, and food safety, remains inconsistent, largely due to institutional fragmentation, political interference, and capacity limitations. Although efforts to implement New Public Management (NPM) principles and digital tools have been made, bureaucratic inertia, coordination failures, and limited flexibility hinder reform progress. The rise of e-government and agile governance shows promise in enhancing efficiency and public participation. However, these advancements are still hampered by digital divides and regulatory uncertainties. The COVID-19 pandemic further exposed critical vulnerabilities in policy execution, underscoring the need for resilient, adaptive governance models capable of responding to unforeseen crises. This review contributes to the understanding of Indonesia’s evolving administrative landscape and offers several practical recommendations. These include strengthening intergovernmental coordination, investing in local administrative capacity, fostering participatory governance, and institutionalizing agile, collaborative practices. The study highlights the importance of integrated, inclusive, and data-driven governance to improve public sector performance and ensure democratic accountability. By focusing on these areas, Indonesia can better address the challenges of public administration and policy implementation, driving long-term sustainable development and effective governance in the country.

This study aims to identify internal and external factors influencing the development of the Arunika Wedding Organizer business in Padang City and formulate appropriate strategies through a SWOT analysis approach. The research method was conducted qualitatively, with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews with five informants, consisting of business owners, employees, and vendors who collaborate with Arunika. The data obtained was then analyzed to map the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats faced by the company. The results show that the main strengths of Arunika Wedding Organizer lie in responsive service to client needs, solid team coordination, and good working relationships with supporting vendors. These factors are important capital in maintaining consumer trust. However, the study also found weaknesses such as a limited number of part-time teams that can hinder operational flexibility, and suboptimal digital promotions that limit market reach. From the external side, opportunities that can be utilized include the increasing trend of more personal and simple intimate weddings, and the high demand for one-stop services, where all wedding needs can be accommodated by a single service provider. Meanwhile, the threats faced stem from intense price competition with similar service providers and relatively rapid changes in wedding trends, requiring the company to be constantly adaptive. Based on the SWOT matrix analysis, Arunika Wedding Organizer falls into quadrant IV (hold and maintain). Therefore, the recommended strategy is to maintain existing strengths while addressing existing weaknesses, particularly in human resources and digital promotion.

Manado City is an area that is vulnerable to floods and landslides, but until now the effectiveness of disaster management still faces serious challenges due to low community involvement in mitigation planning. This study aims to analyze the role of participatory planning in improving community-based disaster preparedness, with a focus on how the Manado City Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD: Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah) involves the community in the process of formulating disaster strategies. Using a non-empirical qualitative approach through a literature study method, data were obtained from scientific journals, policy documents, and institutional reports that were analyzed thematically and contextually with reference to the framework of community participation and disaster risk management. The results of the study show that community involvement is still at a symbolic level, limited to the implementation stage, and has not touched the strategic planning process in a meaningful way. Lack of institutional capacity, low disaster literacy, and absence of formal participatory mechanisms are the main inhibiting factors. As a result, disaster programs are often not aligned with local needs and have an impact on low preparedness effectiveness. This study concludes that strengthening community participation in disaster planning is needed to build a more adaptive and iterative preparedness system. Theoretically, the study broadens the understanding of the relevance of participatory planning approaches in community-based disaster management, while practically, the findings provide recommendations for BPBDs and local governments to develop more collaborative and local needs-based policies as a step towards sustainable disaster resilience.

Manado City is highly vulnerable to hydrometeorological disasters due to its geographical conditions, rapid and uncontrolled urbanization, and the intensifying impacts of climate change. These risks underline the importance of effective disaster mitigation strategies that go beyond government intervention and involve active participation from communities and non-governmental organizations. In this context, collaboration among various actors becomes a crucial foundation for developing an adaptive and participatory disaster governance system. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of actor collaboration in disaster mitigation efforts in Manado City, with particular emphasis on patterns of interaction, role distribution, and structural as well as cultural barriers that influence the effectiveness of multi-stakeholder synergy. Employing a qualitative case study approach, this research relies on secondary data gathered from official documents, government policy reports, and relevant academic publications. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify key themes and relational dynamics among stakeholders. The findings reveal that although strong driving factors exist—such as a high level of disaster risk, increasing public awareness, and the availability of institutional frameworks—collaboration remains largely procedural and government-dominated, with limited engagement from non-government actors. Challenges such as weak trust among stakeholders, insufficient substantive dialogue, and the absence of an integrated disaster information system continue to hinder the realization of effective collaborative practices. The study concludes by highlighting the urgency of adopting a collaborative governance model that emphasizes equality, mutual trust, and meaningful participation. Theoretically, this research contributes to the discourse on disaster governance by providing insights into actor relations in a disaster-prone urban context. Practically, it proposes an adaptive collaboration framework that can be replicated in other cities facing similar disaster vulnerabilities, thereby strengthening resilience and community preparedness.

Drug abuse among adolescents is a serious problem that requires a comprehensive prevention strategy. One key element in this effort is family education, which plays a frontline role in protecting adolescents from the negative influence of drugs. Through consistent education, supervision, and emotional support, families can build a foundation for positive behavior and mental resilience in adolescents. Effective family education includes open communication between parents and children, teaching moral and religious values, and creating a safe, harmonious, and warm home environment. Healthy communication allows adolescents to feel comfortable discussing problems or pressures they face, thereby minimizing the risk of falling into drug abuse. In addition to the role of the family, psychological approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) have proven effective in strengthening adolescents' resilience to social pressures and the temptation of drugs. CBT focuses on helping individuals recognize and change negative thought patterns and risky behaviors that trigger abuse. With CBT techniques, adolescents can learn stress management skills, improve decision-making skills, and develop healthier, adaptive behaviors. The integration of family education and CBT therapy results in a more holistic prevention approach. Families provide a foundation of morals, values, and emotional support, while CBT strengthens adolescents' psychological abilities to face life's challenges. This synergy can increase resilience, reduce vulnerability to negative influences, and equip adolescents with effective strategies for resisting drugs. By optimizing the role of the family and combining it with psychological interventions, it is hoped that a healthy, productive young generation will emerge, free from the threat of drugs, enabling them to contribute positively to society and the future of the nation.

This study discusses the symbolic meaning contained in the use of figurative language in the poetry anthology Selamat Menunaikan Ibadah Puisi by Joko Pinurbo. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a semiotic analysis method as a theoretical basis, which allows researchers to interpret the signs and symbols in the poetic texts in depth. The results of the study show that the figurative language in the poems does not only function as rhetorical decoration or mere linguistic ornamentation, but has a strong and essential symbolic function in conveying hidden messages and the poet's inner emotions. Symbols such as "storm", "refrigerator", "twilight", "window", "door", "river", and others are not only concrete images, but convey deep meanings related to inner suffering, past memories, the search for self-identity, feelings of alienation, and the search for the universal meaning of life. In addition, this study also identifies various types of figurative language used by Joko Pinurbo in the anthology, including metaphor, simile, personification, hyperbole, synecdoche, paradox, and irony. All types of figurative language are skillfully used to enrich the meaning of poetry and deepen the aesthetic experience of readers, allowing them to feel and reproduce the messages hidden behind the words. Thus, this study confirms that the use of figurative language in poetry is not only a literary technique, but also a powerful medium of expression and a means of communicating complex meanings in modern literary works. Character education serves as a fundamental pillar in shaping a generation of morally upright, responsible, and resilient youth. It not only fosters ethical behavior but also equips children with the skills and attitudes necessary to contribute positively to society. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of character education among children through a combination of artistic activities—such as coloring and calligraphy—and environmental activities, specifically planting. The research was conducted in two orphanages located in Blitar Regency, namely Raudhatul Aitam Orphanage and Nurul Falah Orphanage. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that creative, participatory, and collaborative approaches are effective in nurturing essential character values among children, both under and over the age of ten. The core values instilled through the activities include appreciation for global diversity, cooperative spirit (gotong royong), faith, and environmental awareness. Practical activities, such as coloring illustrations of traditional houses, planting chili plants, and coloring calligraphic artworks, were found to enhance children’s creativity, self-confidence, patience, and social interaction skills. Moreover, these activities encouraged teamwork and a sense of responsibility, as children worked together to complete tasks and care for their environment. The study highlights the importance of integrating cultural, artistic, and ecological elements in character education programs to create engaging and meaningful learning experiences. Furthermore, continuous support and collaboration from various stakeholders—including caregivers, educators, community members, and government institutions—are essential to ensure sustainability. When consistently implemented, such programs have the potential to produce long-term positive impacts, helping children grow into individuals who are not only skilled and creative but also possess strong moral values and a deep sense of social responsibility.

Extreme weather events in Bintan Regency increased from 34 incidents in 2023 to 45 incidents in 2024, marked by strong winds and heavy rainfall, which caused damage to residential homes and disrupted community activities. This study aims to determine the mitigation strategies of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Bintan Regency. This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The study is based on Fred R. David’s theory (2016). The results of this study show that the Strategy Formulation has been fully implemented in formulating the vision and mission of BPBD Bintan regarding disaster mitigation. However, the identification of internal and external environments has not been optimal due to issues such as the wide geographical coverage of Bintan Regency and the lack of transportation facilities. The Strategy Implementation indicates that the execution by BPBD Bintan is not yet fully optimal, as some community members have not received the planned activities. The Strategy Evaluation shows that BPBD Bintan's performance has been optimal, as evidenced by the Government Institution Performance Report (LAKIP), which states that the agency has achieved 100% of its service targets for those who received services. However, field findings reveal that community understanding and preparedness are still lacking due to the absence of outreach and training programs, which are hindered by factors such as the unestablished Disaster-Resilient Villages (Destana/Katana). Nevertheless, the community perceives BPBD Bintan’s response in providing aid during disasters as satisfactory.
