The advancement of digital technology encourages the need for innovative learning strategies capable of strengthening students’ moral character amid the decline in discipline, responsibility, and empathy among learners. This study aims to analyze how project-based digital storytelling influences the improvement of students’ morals and how its implementation process occurs within an educational context. The research method used is library research by examining books, journals, and relevant scientific sources related to students’ moral development, project-based learning, and digital storytelling. The analysis was conducted through content analysis to identify key concepts, findings from previous studies, and the relationship between storytelling strategies and the internalization of moral values. The results indicate that digital storytelling is effective as a learning medium because it can integrate cognitive, affective, and technological aspects into a meaningful learning experience. Through the processes of planning, scriptwriting, digital production, and project presentation, students are actively involved in understanding and internalizing moral values such as honesty, empathy, responsibility, and discipline. In addition, digital narratives can build emotional connectedness that strengthens moral feeling and encourages students’ moral action in daily life. These findings imply that project-based digital storytelling can serve as an innovative pedagogical strategy to reinforce character education in schools, especially in facing the challenges posed by technological development and behavioral changes in the digital generation.

The implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) is a crucial foundation for maintaining public trust in Indonesia’s Islamic banking sector. Yet, the effectiveness of GCG is often debated because formal practices tend to be technocratic and procedural, lacking deeper internalization of Sharia Ethical values. This study analyzes the application of GCG based on Sharia Ethics at Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI), with a case study at KCP Sawangan Sari Plaza. Using a qualitative approach and case study method, data were collected through source triangulation, including in-depth interviews with the Branch Operation and Service Manager (BOSM), customer service officers, and tellers. These interviews were supported by participatory observation and an examination of corporate documents. The findings reveal no significant discrepancy between formal GCG practices and Sharia Ethics at the research site. GCG principles such as Transparency, Accountability, Responsibility, and Fairness are consistently implemented and rooted in ethical values like Amanah (trustworthiness), Shidq (honesty), and ’Adl (justice). A key insight from this study is the shift in employee motivation from fear-based compliance toward value-based compliance. This shows that the integration of GCG and Sharia Ethics is strongly influenced by ethical leadership and the development of a spiritual work culture at the branch level.

Murder committed by children presents a dilemma in the criminal justice system, as it must balance the enforcement of justice with the protection of children's rights. This article examines the problematic nature of juvenile criminal liability in murder by comparing the perpetrator's legal approach to that of adults. Normative juridical research methods are used to explain legal provisions, court decisions, and related doctrines. The results indicate that juvenile offenders are not solely focused on their culpability but also on the child's psychological capabilities, maturity level, and social circumstances. Meanwhile, adult offenders are held fully accountable, with a focus on punishment. The main challenges are the difficulty of proving intent and the need for special mechanisms for handling juvenile offenders of serious crimes. This study provides for strengthening the capacity of law enforcement, improving child rehabilitation facilities, optimizing diversion mechanisms, and educating the public to support humane and proportional protection and enforcement of justice.

This study aims to analyze the effect of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) on the financial performance of mining companies listed in the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII70) for the 2020–2024 period, with the Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) as a control variable. The findings show that, partially, the Environmental variable has a positive but insignificant effect on ROA, indicating that efforts in energy efficiency, waste management, and emission reduction have not yet been fully reflected in short-term profitability. In contrast, the Social variable has a significant effect on ROA, emphasizing that companies’ engagement in building stakeholder relationships, protecting employee rights, and implementing social responsibility programs contribute substantially to financial performance. The Governance variable also has a significant effect on ROA, highlighting the importance of good governance practices, transparency, and accountability in enhancing profitability. Meanwhile, the control variable DER shows no significant effect on ROA. Simultaneously, ESG performance has a significant effect on ROA, proving that integrated ESG implementation supports the profitability of mining companies. These findings confirm that ESG is not only a compliance measure with sustainability principles but also a long-term business strategy that strengthens companies’ competitiveness and serves as a crucial consideration for investors in making investment decisions.

This community service program aims to describe the implementation and impact of “Persekutuan Hamba Tuhan,” a diaconal initiative conducted by GBI Jemaat Kasih Surabaya to support 80 pastors serving in small congregations around the M3 area of Surabaya. The background of the program stems from ongoing socioeconomic challenges affecting church ministers in the post-pandemic period, particularly those serving in churches with limited resources and unstable financial support. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation of the program activities, documentation of the distribution process, and testimonies from both recipients and church members. The results show three major outcomes. First, the distribution of food packages and basic daily necessities significantly reduced the economic burden of the participating pastors, providing a sense of relief and stability for their households. Second, the program strengthened congregational solidarity, as more than fifty church members actively engaged in fundraising, packaging, and direct service, building a stronger culture of compassion and shared responsibility. Third, the fellowship activities—consisting of worship, preaching, prayer, and personal encouragement—provided emotional and spiritual strengthening that renewed the pastors’ motivation and confidence in their ministry. Overall, this program demonstrates that integrated diaconal service combining material aid, spiritual encouragement, and relational support can offer meaningful impact for vulnerable church ministers. The findings also highlight the potential of this model to be replicated in other church settings as a holistic, community-based ministry approach. It is recommended that future programs expand coverage, incorporate long-term follow-up, and explore empowerment components to enhance sustainable impact.

This study explores the role of ethics as the foundation of teacher-student relationships, the moral challenges of the digital age, and character education strategies as solutions. Using literature review and conceptual analysis, the study found that values such as honesty, responsibility, politeness, and mutual respect are key to creating harmonious interactions in the learning environment. On the other hand, technological advances and cultural changes present challenges in the form of decreased empathy and the misuse of social media. Therefore, character education based on teacher role models, collaboration, and humanistic discipline needs to be developed. The study's findings emphasize the importance of balancing digital advancements with moral development in realizing ethical and civilized education. The study also reveals that, despite significant challenges facing educators in the digital age, they can utilize technology to support better character formation through an educational model that emphasizes ethics. The role of families and communities is also crucial in supporting this character education, fostering synergy between all parties in creating a generation with noble character.

This study analyzes the legal implications of the Merauke Food Estate Project on the principles of sustainable development and Indonesia's commitment to Net Zero Emission (NZE) from the viewpoint of international environmental law. Through a normative legal approach complemented by qualitative empirical analysis, this study reveals that the realization of this project has the possibility of violating national and international environmental principles, which include sustainable development, the precautionary principle, and the polluter pays principle, due to the mass deforestation that increases carbon emissions and the absence of the implementation of the Free, Prior, and Informed Consent (FPIC) mechanism for indigenous peoples. The findings indicate that the legal responsibility of the state and corporations in this project is not fully aligned with Indonesia's commitments under the Paris Agreement and the NZE target. Previously, and Informed Consent (FPIC/PADIATAPA) for indigenous peoples. The findings show that the legal responsibilities of the state and corporations in this project are not completely in line for Indonesia's commitments in the Paris Agreement and the 2060 NZE target, thus requiring policy reconstruction according to a rights-based strategy to ensure a balance between food security, ecological fairness, and a healthy environment.

This research aims to respond to the complex challenges of the digital era, where students are not only required to develop scientific thinking skills but also to strengthen ethics and character as the primary basis for filtering information and acting wisely in cyberspace. Rapid technological developments are often not directly proportional to the mastery of moral literacy, so the application of Islamic ethical values is crucial to create a balance between intellectual intelligence and good morals. This research aims to examine how combining scientific thinking with Islamic ethics can strengthen students' character, while also identifying effective implementation approaches in contemporary learning environments. The method used is a literature study with descriptive qualitative analysis, involving the review of various literature sources related to scientific thinking, character education, and Islamic ethical principles. This study aims to analyze the transformation process of Islamic edupreneurship values in developing an educational ecosystem oriented toward independence and blessing (barakah) within Islamic schools. The low entrepreneurial and independent spirit among students remains a major challenge for Islamic educational institutions seeking to instill spiritually grounded entrepreneurship values. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach through a case study at an Islamic elementary school. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results reveal that the internalization of Islamic edupreneurship values—such as amanah (trustworthiness), shidq (honesty), jiddiyyah (diligence), ibda‘ (creativity), and mas’uliyyah (responsibility)—successfully shifted students’ mindset from consumptive to productive orientation with a focus on barakah. The transformation occurred through curriculum integration, teacher modeling, socio-economic projects, and spiritual habituation. The Islamic edupreneurship-based ecosystem strengthened students’ character, microeconomic independence, and the culture of blessed work. This study recommends developing an Integrative Islamic Edupreneurship Curriculum Model to foster a competitive and morally upright generation.

Recent declines in student ethics and learning diligence indicate deeper systemic challenges within the contemporary educational ecosystem. This situation prompts critical inquiry into the respective contributions of school governance, teacher practices, and familial environments in shaping student’s learning orientations. This study seeks to identify the principal determinants of learning diligence from the perspectives of teachers, parents, and students, employing a qualitative exploratory–interpretive design. Data were elicited through narrative stimuli intended to provoke reflective and affectively grounded responses, which were subsequently examined using inductive–thematic analysis. The findings demonstrate that structural weaknesses within school systems, particularly ambiguous policy direction, inconsistent institutional regulations, and ineffective evaluative mechanisms—constitute dominant factors undermining student’s motivation and academic discipline. Parental influences also play a substantive role; insufficient parental engagement and inadequate developmental guidance contribute to weakened responsibility and diminished learner commitment. Some students report withdrawing from academic engagement due to unclear expectations and the absence of supportive school conditions. Moreover, perceptions of automatic grade promotion and guaranteed graduation exacerbate motivational decline. Collectively, these findings indicate that learning diligence emerges from a complex interplay between institutional structures, pedagogical practices, family dynamics, and student’s psychosocial conditions. Addressing these issues thus requires coordinated, systemic, and multi-stakeholder intervention.
