Photovoltaic (PV) systems are a promising renewable energy source due to their ease of installation, eco-friendliness, and abundant solar radiation availability. Indonesia has a theoretical potential of 4.625 kWh/m² and a practical potential of 3.767 kWh/kWp; however, as of September 2021, its installed capacity was only 194 MW. Land constraints have led to the development of floating PV systems, which reduce land usage and enhance module efficiency due to lower temperatures above water. Nonetheless, PV systems face challenges from solar radiation intermittency, influenced by cloud opacity, causing output power fluctuations. This study maps cloud opacity patterns on Kodingareng Island based on dry and rainy seasons using 2020 BMKG data. Results indicate that output power during the dry season is more stable than in the rainy season due to lower cloud cover. Conversely, thick cloud cover during the rainy season reduces solar radiation reaching PV modules, resulting in fluctuating power output. Thus, floating PV systems demonstrate better energy availability during the dry season. This study highlights the importance of understanding cloud opacity patterns in planning floating PV systems to address the challenges of solar radiation intermittency.

This study aims to examine the effect of water usage, energy consumption, carbon emissions produced, waste generated, independent Assurance, and environmental expenditures on Return On Equity. (ROE). This study provides information about entities that are socially responsible and whether their financial performance will improve or not after the implementation of corporate social and environmental activities. The independent variables in this study are water usage, energy consumption, carbon emissions produced, waste generated, independent Assurance, and environmental expenditures. ROE in this study is the dependent variable. The secondary data required for the study comes from the sustainability reports of 35 companies in 2023, and then the relationship between the independent and dependent variables is tested using EViews. The results of data management in the study indicate that there is an effect between water usage, waste generated, and environmental expenditures on ROE, thus supporting H1, H4, and H6. This condition is reversed with energy consumption, carbon emissions produced, and independent Assurance, where these three variables do not have an effect on ROE, proving that H2, H3, and H5 are not supported. The implication of this study is that management can achieve sustainable profits by disclosing activities that support environmental sustainability and using independent parties to guarantee the sustainability reports that have been created, thereby gaining more trust from stakeholders, which affects ROE.

In this review, we undertake an in-depth survey of the traditional as well as modern methods used in finding solutions for partial differential equations (henceforth PDEs). We categorise these equations into three main kinds: elliptic, parabolic, and hyperbolic. We also give illustrative examples of these PDEs and discuss the applications of them in a range of fields. This range extends from fluid dynamics (hydrodynamics), as well as thermal (heat) conduction, to quantum mechanics. Our exploration features a number of analyses used in this regard such as variable splitting or defactorising in addition to the transforms invented by Fourier and Laplace. Not only this but also this survey takes in numerical methods ranging from grid-based (finite difference), mesh-based (finite element) to spectral. Also discussed in this paper is a range of special techniques that ranges from the variational techniques, Green's (fundamental solution) functions to perturbation (also known as Asymptotic expansion in addition to sketching the latest developments with respect to computational methods. This review also sheds light on current challenges that confront addressing complicated PDEs especially those nonlinear and multi-variable. In this regard, the paper calls for more research in order to develop more effective methods. The paper maps out the importance of PDE usages in real-life and its potential for more related discoveries in the future particularly with respect to areas such as machine learning and quantum computing.

This article analyzes the word “seed” as a metaphor of God's word in Jesus' parables found in the Synoptic Gospels (Matthew, Mark, and Luke) with a semantic approach. The metaphor of “seed” in the context of first-century agriculture is used by Jesus to describe human responses to God's words, which are likened to different types of soil. This study explores the literal, metaphorical, and symbolic meanings of the Greek word σπόρος (sporos), and compares its usage in the three Synoptic Gospels to reveal differences in their narrative emphases. This study shows that the metaphor of “seed” not only describes the dynamics of spiritual growth, but also conveys a theological message about the importance of faith, perseverance, and readiness of heart in receiving God's word. As such, this article offers a new perspective that connects biblical and linguistic studies to deepen the understanding of Jesus' teaching.
