Diabetes Mellitus often causes disorders in other organs, one of which is kidney disorders, commonly known as Diabetic Nephropathy. Diabetic Nephropathy (DN) is a chronic microvascular complication of Diabetes Mellitus, which is the main cause of end-stage kidney disease. Decreased hemoglobin (Hb) levels, or anemia, are very common clinical manifestations found in patients with this impaired kidney function. Pathophysiologically, the decrease in hemoglobin in DN patients is multifactorial, involving absolute or relative erythropoietin (EPO) deficiency due to damage to renal peritubular interstitial cells. As a result, there is a significant disruption of erythropoiesis, which can disrupt the process of red blood cell maturation in the hematopoiesis process. Monitoring hemoglobin levels is a crucial parameter because anemia in this DN population often appears earlier and is more severe than in non-diabetic chronic kidney disease patients. Therefore, early identification of fluctuations in hemoglobin levels is crucial in clinical management to prevent worsening of the systemic condition of patients with Diabetic Nephropathy. This study aims to review Hemoglobin levels in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patients Based on Diabetic Nephropathy Stage in Anemia Screening. The method in this study used Descriptive Analytical with a sample of 47 respondents who met the inclusion criteria. The sampling and research location were conducted at Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Hospital, Makassar. Hemoglobin measurements were measured using Sysmex Series XN-1000 with the Flowcytometry tool method. The results of the study found normal Hb levels (not anemic) in 25 respondents (53.20%), Mild Anemia in 6 respondents (12.80%), Moderate Anemia in 13 respondents (27.60%) and Severe Anemia in 3 respondents (6.40%). From these data, it is known that not all Diabetic Nephropathy patients in this study experienced Anemia.

Engine performance is a critical parameter in automotive engineering as it directly affects power output, torque characteristics, and overall vehicle efficiency. One of the components that significantly influences engine performance is the exhaust system, which regulates exhaust gas flow and back pressure. This study aims to experimentally analyze the effect of replacing a standard exhaust system with an aftermarket exhaust system on the performance of a 2NR-VE engine. The research employed an experimental method using a comparative design with two testing conditions: a factory-standard exhaust system and an aftermarket exhaust system. Engine performance testing was conducted using a dynamometer (dyno test) to measure horsepower and torque across various engine speed ranges (RPM). Each testing condition was performed repeatedly, and the resulting data were averaged to reduce measurement errors and minimize the influence of operational fluctuations. The experimental results indicate that the aftermarket exhaust system significantly improves engine performance. The maximum power increased from 82.5 HP to 91.6 HP, while the maximum torque rose from 131.2 Nm to 154.4 Nm. These improvements suggest that the aftermarket exhaust configuration effectively reduces exhaust back pressure and enhances exhaust gas flow efficiency. Therefore, replacing the exhaust system can be considered an effective approach to improving engine performance, provided that the modification is technically appropriate and complies with applicable emission and noise regulations.

Post-harvest handling of chili in Indonesia is still largely done manually, requiring a relatively long processing time and producing products with a non-uniform level of fineness. This condition impacts low production efficiency and the quality of processed chili. Therefore, the application of appropriate technology in the form of a chili flour machine is needed to increase production capacity and consistency. This study aims to analyze the effect of the number of blades and mesh size on the production capacity of a disk mill type FFC 15 chili flour machine. The research method used was an experiment with a factorial design, involving two variations in the number of blades, namely three and four blades, and three variations in mesh size, namely 0.5 mm, 1 mm, and 3 mm. Each treatment combination was carried out three times. The results showed that the number of blades and mesh size had a significant effect on the machine's production capacity. The best treatment combination was obtained by using four blades with a mesh size of 3 mm, which resulted in a production capacity of 6.84 kg/hour and a Composite Desirability value of 0.983. These results indicate that proper arrangement of machine components can increase the efficiency of post-harvest chili processing.

Road preservation is a type of maintenance that keeps roads in satisfactory working order by using preventive, corrective, rehabilitation, and reconstruction methods. This approach makes sure that the road stays usable for the entire time it is planned to be used. In practice, preservation projects often run into delays that can lead to important contract conditions. To avoid this, there needs to be a structured way to evaluate things through a Show Case Meeting (SCM). This study looks at how SCM was used in the 2024 Girian–Kema–Rumbia–Buyat Road Preservation Project to find out what caused the delays and how well the agreed-upon fixes worked. The method included looking at physical progress, differences between planned and actual performance, and how well the contractor did during SCM Stages I and II. The results indicate that the contractor failed to provide enough workers and move the right equipment, which led to the critical contract condition. SCM Stage I did not meet the required test-case target, but SCM Stage II did, showing that the contractor was able to meet the required performance targets and finish the work on time. These results show that SCM is an important way to control contracts and fix problems, which helps construction projects get done on time and well.

The development of science and technology generally brings positive impacts in terms of convenience in various human activities, but on the other hand, it also leads to negative consequences such as an increase in waste. One of the significant wastes produced from construction activities, including building and house construction, is feldspar, which typically comes from leftover ceramic materials. Feldspar is a type of waste that is difficult to decompose naturally and has no economic value, often accumulating and polluting the environment. Therefore, innovation is needed to utilize this waste to create value. This study aims to use feldspar powder as a replacement for fine aggregates in K-200 grade concrete mixtures. The research method involved mixing feldspar powder in specific proportions as a substitute for sand, followed by a series of tests, including compressive strength and flexural tests, to determine the feasibility and performance of the resulting concrete. The results indicate that the use of feldspar powder as a fine aggregate produces a concrete mixture with satisfactory mechanical characteristics, meeting the K-200 concrete standards. These findings not only provide an alternative environmentally friendly material but also offer a solution to reduce ceramic waste, contributing positively to sustainable construction.

This study conducts a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to explore the impact of users’ mental models on the implementation of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) as a strategy for mitigating password guessing risks in organizational environments. Amid the growing landscape of cyber threats, single-factor authentication has proven to be vulnerable, making MFA an essential layered security solution. However, the adoption of MFA remains slow. Existing studies indicate that expert users perceive MFA as a useful additional layer of verification, whereas non-expert users often view it as a burdensome task (a chore) and may even struggle to distinguish between different types of MFA. Dependence on mobile devices emerges as a common source of frustration for both groups. These findings emphasize that understanding users’ mental models is crucial for improving the implementation and usability of MFA. Innovations such as adaptive MFA or Single Input Multi-Factor Authentication (SIMFA) show potential as solutions to balance security requirements and user experience.

Crime, an unlawful act that contradicts ethics and norms, has now become a primary factor for the police in Lampung province. This presents a challenge for the police institution in predicting high crime rates. However, there are still many crimes that have not become the main focus of problem-solving at the Lampung Regional Police. This research aims to identify the types and criminal acts of crime with the highest recorded incidence in a crime dataset by performing classification using the Naïve Bayes algorithm. The data was obtained from investigators at the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation of the Lampung Regional Police, with a total of 12,034 JTP (Total Criminal Acts) and 7,518 PTP (Crime Resolution) data points for each type of crime, distributed across the Regional Police, City Police, and District Police throughout Lampung province. The classification process using the Naïve Bayes algorithm reveals the relationship between the work unit (Satker) and the type of crime handled, thereby identifying crime patterns based on the location where they are handled. The results of the research, which involved converting numerical data into binomial (binary) form using the "Numerical to Binominal" feature in Rapid miner, show that the analysis and modeling process, especially in algorithms like Naïve Bayes or decision trees, is more effective when using data in a binary format. Thus, the initial dataset can be visualized in the form of a , with the size of the text varying according to the level of each high-incidence crime; the larger the text, the more frequently or significantly the crime occurred or was reported. The application of this method can help in identifying patterns, dominant trends, and areas of focus for more targeted law enforcement efforts or crime prevention policies.

Acne vulgaris (AV) is a common dermatological condition affecting adolescents and young adults, with multifactorial causes including hormonal influences, increased follicular keratinization, excessive sebum production, and colonization by Cutibacterium acnes. External factors, particularly skincare behavior, are also considered to play an important role. The use of skincare products that are unsuitable for skin type or contain comedogenic ingredients such as mineral oil, lanolin, and certain silicones may clog pores and exacerbate acne. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between skincare product selection and usage behavior, types of skincare products used, and frequency of use with the occurrence of acne vulgaris among female medical students of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sumatera Utara, cohorts 2022–2024. An analytical observational study with a cross-sectional design was conducted. Primary data were collected through an online questionnaire, while secondary data were obtained from the student directory. A total of 90 respondents were selected using stratified random sampling. Data analysis was performed using the Chi-square test. The results showed a significant association between skincare product selection and usage behavior and the occurrence of acne vulgaris (p = 0.043), as well as between the type of skincare products used and acne incidence (p < 0.001). However, no significant relationship was found between the frequency of skincare product use and acne vulgaris (p = 0.116). These findings indicate that appropriate product selection and type are more influential in acne development than usage frequency.

PT. Tirta Fresindo Jaya, specifically its Pasuruan plant as the producer of Pucuk Harum Tea beverage, requires a large supply of steam to support various production processes. This steam is used in the process of heating tea leaves, heating water through a heat exchanger, and heating chemicals and water in the cleaning in place (CIP) process. Steam pressure of 5 bar that is flowed to the process equipment will undergo condensation to produce condensate. To separate steam and condensate, steam traps are used, consisting of several types, namely mechanical, thermostatic, and thermodynamic. However, in operational practice, steam trap malfunctions often occur, either in the form of steam leaks that are wasted with condensate or failure to drain condensate from the system. This condition causes a decrease in the efficiency of the steam piping system and increases the workload of the boiler. As a result, fuel consumption and boiler feed water requirements become greater than ideal conditions. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the energy and operational losses caused by steam trap malfunctions, as well as evaluate their impact on boiler system performance and steam utilization efficiency at PT. Tirta Fresindo Jaya Pasuruan plant.
