Background; Blood pressure can be said to be normal depending on a person's age and daily activities. Based on data from the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2019 shows around 1.13 million people in the world have hypertension. Non-pharmacological methods of reduction are by exercise, one of which is hypertensive gymnastics. Tera gymnastics is a physical and mental exercise combined with motion. Tera gymnastics has many benefits, one of which is improving heart conditions and blood circulation and can control blood pressure. Purpose; Knowing the results of the application of tera gymnastics on blood pressure in the elderly in Sragen Wetan District. Method; This research design uses a case study method with a descriptive research method on hypertensive elderly using a spygmomanometer. Result; Blood pressure before the application of tera gymnastics in respondents was included in the category of Grade I hypertension. There were differences in the development of blood pressure in the elderly with hypertension before and after the tera gymnastics intervention became Grade I hypertension. Conclusion; There are differences in development before and after tera gymnastics in the elderly with hypertension.

Background : The elderly will experience various declines that have an impact on one of the problems in the endocrine system, namely diabetes mellitus. One of the reasons for lack of physical exercise. Data from Riskesdas 2018, the prevalence of diabetes mellitus diagnosed aged 65 to 74 years is 6.03%. Based on data from PKD Mliwis cadres, there were 76 cases of elderly people with DM. One of the recommended physical exercises for diabetic patients is walking. Walking can help muscles absorb blood sugar in the body. Purpose: To find out the results of implementing walking in the elderly on blood sugar levels in Mliwis Village. Method: This type of case study research uses descriptive research methods. Prior to the research, interviews and observations were carried out through observation sheets (pre-test) and after the intervention, results were observed (post-test). Management of diabetes mellitus by walking is given 3 times in 1 week. This therapy is given for 3 days in 30 minutes at one meeting. Results: Obtained an average reduction in sugar levels in the first respondent by 11,6 mg/dl while the second respondent obtained an average decrease of 16 mg/dl. Conclusion: This walking therapy can reduce blood sugar levels in 2 respondents.

Background: Age 60 years and over is the final stage of the aging process which has a biological impact, one of which is susceptibility to disease, for example hypertension, which is a chronic increase in blood pressure of more than 140/90 mmHg. Cases of elderly people with hypertension in Susukan Village, according to the elderly posyandu cadres, were 53 people. Hypertension can be treated pharmacologically by using drugs and non-pharmacologically by therapy with warm water foot soaks. Purpose: Knowing the difference in blood pressure before and after soaking feet in warm water. Methods: This case study is intended to obtain the results of applying warm water foot soaks to elderly people with hypertension with two elderly people living in Susukan Village, Semarang Regency as subjects. Results: After soaking the feet, it was found that the average decrease in systolic blood pressure in Mrs. H 6 mm Hg and Mrs. N 5 mmHg while the average diastolic blood pressure in Mrs. H 5 mm Hg and on Mrs. N 4 mmHg every day. Conclusion: Researchers concluded that there was a decrease in blood pressure after a 5-day study as indicated by a decrease in systolic pressure in Mrs. H 28 mm Hg and Mrs. N 24 mmHg while there was a decrease in diastolic in Ny. H 23 mmHg and Mrs. N 18 mmHg.

Background; Hypertension in the elderly increases every year, in Pacitan Regency there are 6,211 people, in Nawangan District there are 1,290 people with hypertension and in Sempu Village there are 87 elderly people with hypertension. The cause of high hypertension is influenced by lifestyle, scale factors and environmental factors, and if not immediately overcome it will cause premature death and disability rates for sufferers.Purpose; Knowing changes in blood pressure in elderly people with hypertension before and after the application of ergonomic gymnastics. Method; This application is with descriptive research methods and observing an event. Descriptive research is research conducted to describe or describe an event that occurs in society. Result; The results of blood pressure measurements before ergonomic exercise were carried out on the two respondents, namely Mrs.T with a blood pressure of 165/90 mmHg and Mrs. W with a blood pressure of 160/100 mmHg, both classified as having stage 2 hypertension or moderate hypertension.. The results of blood pressure measurements after ergonomic exercise on Mrs. T 150/80 mmHg and Mrs. W to 140/90 mmHg classified as stage 1 or mild hypertension.. Conclusion; This ergonomic exercise can lower blood pressure in elderly people with hypertension

Background; Hypertension is a "sillent killer" disease that is mostly experienced by the elderly. According to data from the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2021, the prevalence is 1.28 billion people with hypertension aged 30-79 years. The prevalence of the elderly in the world and Indonesia continues to increase because the elderly experience a decline in physical conditions, including the cardiovascular system, which increases the risk of degenerative diseases such as hypertension. Therefore, progressive muscle relaxation can be used as an alternative therapy for the elderly with hypertension. The Objectives of the research; Knowing the results of the implementation of progressive muscle relaxation on blood pressure in the elderly with hypertension. Method; This application uses a case study method by observing blood pressure in two elderly respondents. The instruments used are observation sheets, sphygmomanometer, and stopwatch. Results; After application for 20 minutes with a frequency of four times a week for two consecutive weeks showed a decrease in blood pressure in both respondents to prehypertension. Summary; Progressive muscle relaxation therapy can potentially reduce blood pressure in the elderly with hypertension.

Background: rheumatoid arthritis (reumatic) is the body's immune system that fails to distinguish its own tissue from foreign bodies, especially synovial tissue. Diet is the amount of food consumed by a person or group of people, while physical activity is body movement caused by the work of skeletal muscles and results in energy expenditure and energy (calorie burning). Purpose: to determine the relationship between diet and the incidence of rheumatoid arthritis (reumatic) in the elderly, to determine the relationship between physical activity and the incidence of rheumatoid arthritis (reumatic) in the elderly. .  Method: this type of research is quantitative with a cross-sectional research design. With a sample of 40 respondents. Results: There were 25 (62.5%) unhealthy eating habits and a p value of 0.002, so it could be concluded that there was a relationship between diet and the occurrence of rheumatoid arthritis (rheumatism), and 27 (67.5%) light physical activity and a p value of 0.002. then it can be decided that there is a relationship between physical activity and the occurrence of rheumatoid arthritis (reumatic). conclusion: there is a relationship between diet and physical activity with the occurrence of rheumatoid arthritis (reumatic) in the elderly in the working area of ​​the Cijagang Health Center with a p value of 0.002.

Background: Poor sleep quality is a disorder that often occurs in the elderly. The impact of sleep disturbances in the elderly can result in the body's inability to restore its original state, causing weakness, headaches, drowsiness, and fatigue. Treatment of sleep quality disorders is carried out with non-pharmacological treatment, one of the non-pharmacological therapies that can be done is Al-Qur'an Murottal Therapy. Purpose: To find out changes in the level of sleep quality in the elderly before and after carrying out murottal Al-Qur'an therapy. Method: This application uses a descriptive method on 2 respondents, done 1 time in 7 consecutive days. The instrument used is the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) to measure sleep quality. Results: Treatment of sleep quality disorders with Al-Qur'an murottal therapy which is given 1 time for 7 days in 15 minutes can affect the level of sleep quality of respondents, so that there is a change in the sleep quality score of the elderly. Conclusion: The application shows that after the Al-Qur'an murottal therapy there was an increase in the quality of sleep in both respondents from poor sleep quality to light sleep quality.

Elderly (elderly) is someone who has entered the final stages of the phase of life. This cycle can be seen from the symptoms of physical, psychological, and psychosocial changes. These changes will result anxiety. Anxiety is a feeling of fear that is not clear or even has no known cause. Knitting therapy is one method of lowering anxiety. The goal of this study was to examine how knitting therapy affected older people's anxiety levels. This research method uses a Pre-Experimental approach with aone group pre-post test.The population is 33 respondents and uses a simple random sampling technique. The research sample is 30 respondents. The instrument used is an anxiety questionnaire sheet withHamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) Indonesian version, then the data is collected through a process Editing, Coding, Scoring,andTabulating. The data obtained were analyzed using the testpaired T-Test. The results showed the average value of anxiety before knitting therapy was 16.63 while after knitting therapy the average value of anxiety was 6.50. The results of the data analysis test showed that there was an effect of knitting therapy on reducing anxiety in the elderly with -valeu = 0.000 <α = 0.05. Knitting therapy can be used to improve focus, and develop patience. knitting activities can train the left and right brain when doing the same movement, besides sitting quietly and focusing on knitting can reduce heart rate and blood pressure, so we feel relaxed and calm, this situation acts as a pain reliever. This also makes the feeling happy so that it can provide positive energy in a person, this is what makes the mood happy so that feelings of anxiety decrease easily. It is hoped that knitting therapy can be applied to fill the spare time of the elderly and future researchers canmake modifications to the therapeutic media that will be used, one of which can be equipped with making video media.

The risk of falling can be a serious complication in the elderly because falls in the elderly can cause serious injury and disability. Handling that can be applied to reduce the risk of falling is by otago  and ankle exercises. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of otago  and ankle exercises on reducing the risk of falling in the elderly in Tegalsiwalan Village, Tegalsiwalan, Probolinggo.This type of research is a pre experimental design with a pre post design approach. The population of 40 people with 36 respondents who met the inclusion requirements of the study, were selected by purposive sampling technique. The berg balance scale obsevatio sheet is the tool employed, and the data is subsequently gathered using the editing, coding, scoring and tabulating processes. The data obtained were analyzed using the Chi square and the Wilcoxon hypothesis test in both groups. The results showed that the p value was 0.002 in the group given the otago exercise and the p value was 0.014 in the group given the ankle exercise. For the comparison test, the value of sig(2-tailed) was 0.245 > 0.05. So there is no difference between otago exercise and ankle exercise in reducing the risk of falling in the elderly.The next researcher gave the same intervention both for group one and group two. So that further researchers can combine these two interventions, so that the result are maximized.

uric acid is the result of purine metabolism, it will cause pain and rheumatic pain in the joints. Handling to reduce pain is with warm ginger compresses and rgonomic exercises. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of ginger warm compresses and ergonomic exercises on reducing gout arthritis pain in the elderly in Mojolegi Village, Gading District, Probolinggo Regency.This type of research is quasi-experimental with a cross over group design approach. The population of 51 people was selected by purposive sampling technique and obtained 36 respondents who met the inclusion and exclusion requirements of the study. The instrument used is the numerical pain scale observation sheet (NRS). The results showed that the pain scale of ginger warm compresses for period I pre-test was 5.17 post-test 3.00, period II pre-test was 3.94 post-test 2.39. In the ergonomic exercise group, period I pre-test was 5.39 post-test 3.67, period II pre-test was 3.89 post-test 2.61. The results of data analysis obtained valuesρV 0.000 in the warm ginger compress group and the ergonomic exercise group so that it can be concluded that both therapies were equally effective, there was no difference between warm ginger compress and ergonomic exercise in reducing gout arthritis pain in the elderly.Ginger warm compresses and ergonomic exercises are non-pharmacological measures that can be applied to relieve pain and provide a sense of comfort. Thus, implementing these two therapies requires sufficient recovery time (wash out) so that the effects of the first intervention are not carried over to the second intervention.

Gejala andropause dapat terjadi pada laki-laki saat memasuki usia 40 tahun. Penurunan kadar testosterone yang terus menurun bertahap, seiring usia yang terus menua. Kadar testosterone yang terus menurun tersebut dapat menyebabkan kondisi fisik dan performa seksual laki-laki perlahan merosot. Hal ini akhirnya diikuti dengan keluhan psikis, mesti tidak khas misalnya mudah letih dan mengantuk berlebihan, rasa sakit atau kaku pada otot, persendian dan tulang, penis mengecil, penurunan tenaga, kekuatan otot, pertumbuhan kumis, janggut berkurang, dan penurunan frekuensi ereksi pagi hari, hingga menurunnya gairah seksual. Akibatnya laki-laki mudah marah, depresi, panik, tegang, gelisah, sulit tidur juga merasa tertekan. Sensus penduduk kota Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY), menyebutkan tren penduduk lanjut usia (lansia) meningkat, terakhir pada tahun 2020 tercatat sebesar 15,94%, adanya peningkatan penduduk lansia menunjukkan dampak positif jika diikuti dengan adanya pengetahuan dan pemahaman dalam memasuki fase lansia. Gejala andropause mulai muncul dengan nyata. Hypertension is a condition in which blood vessels have high blood pressure (systolic blood pressure ≥140 mmHg or diastolic blood pressure ≥ 90 mmHg). Hypertension is often referred to as the silent killer because it can attack anyone suddenly and it is a disease that can result in death. This community service aims to invite the public to understand the emergency management of the elderly with hypertension. This community service was carried out for 30 people with hypertension at RT 013 RW 007 Kel. Kedaung Kec. Cengkareng, West Jakarta. This activity was carried out on July 8 2022, including; checking blood pressure and education on emergency management of elderly people with hypertension. The knowledge evaluation instrument uses a hypertension knowledge questionnaire and blood pressure assessment using a sphygmomanometer. Providing emergency education for the elderly with hypertension increases the knowledge score, the score before is 42 and the score after is 83 so that the post-test score increases 98% from the pre-test score. The results of blood pressure examinations for elderly people with BP > 140/90 mmHg were 21 people (70%) and elderly people with BP < 140/90 mmHg were 9 people (30%). Providing emergency education for the elderly with hypertension can increase the knowledge of the elderly regarding hypertension so that their quality of life is maintained.

Based on population projection data, it is estimated that in 2017 there will be 23.66 million elderly people in Indonesia (9.03%). The number of elderly people is predicted in 2020 (27.08 million), 2025 (33.69 million), 2030 (40.95 million) and 2035 (48.19 million) (Ministry of Health RI, 2017). The prevalence of dementia (per 1000 people) in Indonesia in 2005 was 191.4 incidents, in 2020 it is estimated to be 314.1 incidents, and will increase in 2050 to around 932 incidents. The data obtained in the work area of ​​the Telaga District Public Health Center were 134 elderly, of which 38 had dementia. From the results of interviews obtained from health workers at the puskesmas and families, they said that often the elderly forgot many activities such as bathing, taking medicine and others, so the family had to remind them to take a bath, take medicine and so on. Further interviews conducted by researchers on the elderly, some said that they rarely consume vitamins, especially vitamin D, are lazy to exercise, do light activities or sunbathe every morning which can increase the risk of developing dementia.

According to WHO (2019), in the Southeast Asia region the elderly population is 8% or around 142 million people. In 2050 it is estimated that the elderly population will increase 3 times from 2013. In 2000 the number of elderly is around 5,300,000 (7.4%) of the total population, while in 2010 the number of elderly is 24,000,000 (9.77%) of the total elderly reached 28,800,000 (11.34%) of the total population. Data from the Central Bureau of Statistics shows that the elderly population in Indonesia in 2007 amounted to 18.7 million people, then in 2010 it increased to 23.9 million people (9.77%). In 2020 it is predicted that the number of elderly people will reach 28.8 million (11.34%). Based on data from the Republic of Indonesia Ministry of Health (2019), Indonesia is entering a period of aging population, where there is an increase in life expectancy followed by an increase in the number of elderly people. Indonesia has experienced an increase in the number of elderly people from 18 million people (7.56%) in 2010, to 25.9 million people (9.7%) in 2019, and is expected to continue to increase in 2035 to 48.2 million people (15.77%).

Background:  Elderly is a condition where a person is 60 years old. Hypertension is a condition of a person who has mixture of salt and lemongrass that can facilitate blood circulation in the body. systolic blood pressure of 140 mmHg and diastolic 80 mmHg. Data from the Kaliwungu Health Center (2023) shows that the number of hypertensive elderly is 18 elderly people. Non-pharmacological therapy that can be done by soaking warm water feet with aObjective: to determine the effect of the application of foot soak therapy using warm water with salt and lemongrass on blood pressure in elderly people with hypertension in Kaliwungu Village, Semarang Regency. Method: this application uses a case study research design with prestest and post-test design. Samples were 2 elderly people who had 2nd degree hypertension. Results: the application of  there was a decrease in blood pressure that was different between respondent 1 and respondent 2 after the application of warm water foot soak with salt and lemongrass for 3 consecutive days for 20 minutes. Both respondents were categorized as grade 2 hypertension decreased to normal-high based on the PDHI classification (2019). Conclusion: Application of warm water foot soak with a mixture of salt and lemongrass can lower blood pressure in elderly people with hypertension.

Hypertension is  a health problem that is commonly found in the elderly. The number of people with  hypertension  continues to increase every year, it is estimated that by 2025 there will be 1.5 billion people affected by hypertension. Hypertension can occur due to various factors,  namely: unhealthy diet / diet, smoking lifestyle and alcohol consumption, obesity or excessive weight, lack of  exercise / physical activity, excessive salt intake, consumption of saturated fat, use of estrogen, lack of fruit and vegetable intake. Efforts to overcome hypertension can be done with pharmacological  and non-pharmacological therapies  .  Non-pharmacological therapies  can be done by modifying lifestyle, complementary therapies  such as; hydrotherapy (foot bath) and physical exercise. In the Nursing Interventions Classification (NIC) warm water foot soak is one of the interventions of nursing diagnosis, namely peripheral tissue perfusion disorders. Descriptive research using case study design. There was a decrease in  blood pressure in  hypertensive elderly after  hydrotherapy soaked feet warm water. There are differences in  the development of lowering blood  pressure in  hypertensive elderly before and after  hydrotherapy soak feet warm water.

Old age is one of the risk factors that affect hypertension because the higher the age, the higher the risk of getting hypertension, this is caused by natural changes in the body that affect blood vessels, hormones, heart. by using non-pharmacological treatment, namely the administration of cucumber infused water and acupressure therapy at the point of LI 4 (Hegu) can reduce blood pressure for people with hypertension.  Purpose : This study aims to determine the effectiveness of cucumber infused water and acupressure therapy at the point of LI 4 (hegu) on reducing hypertension in the elderly. Methods: The population in this study was the elderly affected by hypertension with a total of 240 patients. In this study, the sample number was 30 respondents with each intervention group of 15 respondents. The type of this study is quantitative research that uses a two-group pretest-postest experimental model and is analyzed using statistical tests. Results: Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the results of the Wilcoxon test data there is an effectiveness between the administration of cucumber infused water and acupressure therapy at the LI4 (Hegu) point against reducing hypertension. With the results of v – palue 0.003 for the results of cucumber infused water against reducing hypertension and p-value 0.002 for the results of giving acupressure therapy at the LI4 point (Hegu) against reducing hypertension. In this study, there was a significant influence before and after intervention and blood pressure measurement was given in the working area of the Karangtengah Health Center. Conclusion : the effectiveness of cucumber infused water intervention and acupressure therapy at the LI4 (Hegu) point for the elderly affected by hypertension in the working area of the Karangtengah Health Center.

Background: Most hypertensive patients do not exhibit symptoms, although some symptoms occur unintentionally and are believed to be related to hypertension. This results in an increase in blood pressure with advancing age. Aging causes physiological changes in the body, such as the thickening of arterial walls due to the accumulation of collagen in the muscle layer, leading to the narrowing and stiffening of blood vessels starting at the age of 45 years. Objective: Aims to determine the results of implementing Isometric handgrip exercise in elderly hypertension patients. Method: A descriptive research design with a case study approach was conducted on two respondents. Results: Before the implementation of Isometric handgrip exercise, both respondents were at moderate risk of hypertension, however after performing the Isometric handgrip exercise with two contractions lasting 45 seconds each and a 15-second rest between the contractions, their blood pressure decreased. Conclusion: Isometric handgrip exercise shows a good influence on elderly hypertension patients.

Background: Hypertension or high blood pressure is when the systolic pressure is more than 140 mmHg and the diastolic blood pressure is more than 90 mmHg. WHO data (2015) shows that around 1.13 billion people in the world have hypertension. The number of people with hypertension continues to increase every year, it is estimated that every year 20.44 million people die from hypertension and its complications. Non-pharmacological management to lower blood pressure can be done independently and naturally, namely foot hydrotherapy (warm foot bath). Foot soaks can be combined with other herbal ingredients, one of which is ginger. Objective: To determine the effect of soaking feet with warm ginger water in lowering blood pressure in hypertensive patients. Method: The application was carried out using a descriptive method in the form of a case study to 2 respondents with hypertension in the form of a pretest-posttest. The application is carried out within two days for 15 minutes by sitting on a bed or chair and then soaking the feet in a basin containing warm red ginger water with a water temperature of 37°C. Findings: Based on the results of the application of warm red ginger water foot soak therapy is decrease in blood pressure in elderly patients with hypertension, namely 160/100 mmhg and 150/100 mmhg. Implications: warm red ginger water foot soak therapy can be used as a non-pharmacological technique or independent intervention in elderly patients with hypertension

Elderly is an age group in humans who have entered the final stages of their life phase. The group that is categorized as elderly will experience a process called the aging process. Indonesia is entering a period of aging population, where there is an increase in life expectancy followed by an increase in the number of elderly people. In Indonesia, there has been an increase in the number of elderly people from 18 million people (7.56%) in 2010 to 25.9 million people (9.7%) in 2019, and can be expected to continue to increase where in 2035 it will be 48.2 million people (15.77%). On the other hand, an increase in the number of elderly people will be a problem if the elderly have health problems. The elderly are a group of people who are susceptible to disease and have different physiological functions from young people, so their treatment pattern becomes more careful. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide outreach and information to the public about the proper and correct use of drugs in Tanjung Pura District, Langkat Regency regarding Provision of Drug and Wise Information on the proper and correct use of drugs. The method of this activity involved the community in Tanjung Pura District, Langkat Regency, namely lectures, distribution of leaflets, and questions and answers. Lectures are presented in the form of power point presentations, distribution of leaflets in the form of brochures followed by a discussion or question and answer session about Wisdom in taking medicine in the elderly. The result of this activity is that in Tanjung Pura District, Langkat Regency understand and are wise in taking drugs, especially in the elderly.
