This study aimed to better understand how factors like price, taste, and location affect how much consumers want to buy Elo Pia Kediri products. The research used a quantitative method because it helps collect objective and measurable information that can be analyzed using statistics to make clear conclusions. The data came from two main places: primary and secondary sources. Primary data was gathered directly from consumers through questionnaires that asked about price, taste, location, and how much they wanted to buy the product. Secondary data was collected from books, articles, and other documents related to the topic. The study included all consumers who had bought Elo Pia Kediri products. However, since the total number of people wasn’t known and was quite large, the researcher selected a representative group. The sample size was 96 people. The method used to choose participants was accidental sampling, which means people were selected randomly or by chance as they were met at the research location and agreed to take part. The results showed that price has a big effect on how much consumers want to buy the product. This means the prices set by Elo Pia Kediri match what consumers can afford and what they think is fair, which helps them decide to buy. When prices are seen as fair, affordable, and matching the quality of the product, it encourages people to make purchases. Taste also strongly influences buying interest. When a product has a tasty and unique flavor that fits what people like, it makes them interested in buying it. Taste is an emotional factor that affects how happy consumers are with the product and makes them want to buy it again. Location also plays a big role in how much people want to buy. A location that is easy to reach and close to where people usually go out makes it easier for them to buy Elo Pia Kediri products. The F test showed that together, price, taste, and location all have a significant impact on how much consumers want to buy the product.

Mozzarella cheese is traditionally made using rennet, an enzyme derived from the stomach lining of ruminant animals that plays a key role in coagulating milk. While effective, rennet has certain limitations such as its limited availability, relatively high cost, and concerns among vegetarians and certain religious groups regarding its animal origin. As a result, alternative coagulants that are easier to obtain, plant-based, and more environmentally friendly have gained interest. One such natural ingredient is lemon juice, which contains citric acid and can mimic the coagulation effect of rennet. This study aims to explore the effectiveness of lemon juice as a rennet substitute in the production of mozzarella cheese, specifically when applied in a food product like cheese-stuffed potato balls. The research involved organoleptic testing by 30 panelists to evaluate five sensory aspects: color, aroma, taste, texture, and overall acceptance. Several formulations were tested, and the sample containing 20 ml of lemon juice, 2 grams of citric acid, and an additional herb mix (Sample C) was rated the highest in preference across most parameters. The findings suggest that lemon juice is a viable alternative to rennet in mozzarella cheese making, particularly for small-scale or home-based production. It not only delivers acceptable sensory qualities but is also more accessible and affordable. Moreover, using lemon juice supports the development of more sustainable and vegetarian-friendly food options. In conclusion, lemon juice can successfully replace animal-based rennet, making mozzarella cheese production more inclusive, cost-effective, and environmentally conscious.

This study examines the application of Educational Data Mining (EDM) to predict the academic per-formance of first-year students at the Catholic University of Bukavu and the Higher Institute of Edu-cation (ISP) in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The primary objective is to develop a model that can identify at-risk students early, providing the university with a tool to enhance student support and academic guidance. To address the challenges posed by data imbalance (where successful cases outnumber failures), the study adopts a hybrid methodological approach. First, the SMOTE algorithm was applied to balance the dataset. Then, a stacking classification model was developed to combine the predictive power of multiple algorithms. The variables used for prediction include the National Exam score (PEx), the secondary school track (Humanities), and the type of prior institution (public, private, or religious-affiliated schools), as well as age and sex. The results demonstrate that this approach is highly effective. The model is not only capable of predicting success or failure but also of forecasting students' performance levels (e.g., honors or distinctions). Moreover, the use of the Apriori association rule mining algorithm allowed the identification of faculty-specific success profiles, transforming prediction into an interpretable decision-support tool. This research makes several significant contributions. Practically, it provides the University of Bukavu with a tool for student orientation and early risk detection. Methodologically, it illustrates the effectiveness of a combined approach to EDM in an African context. However, the study acknowledges certain limitations, including the non-public nature of the data and the geographical specificity of the sample. It therefore proposes avenues for future research, such as the integration of Explainable AI (XAI) techniques for more refined and transparent analysis of the results.
