This research aims to explore people's preferences in choosing between conventional and Islamic banks, focusing on the factors that influence customer decisions. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach by collecting primary data through Google Form questionnaires and secondary data through literature studies. The results show that although 80% of respondents understand the differences between conventional and Islamic banks, 83% still choose conventional banks. The main reasons include ease of infrastructure access, wider ATM availability, and integration with educational institutions and workplaces. Interestingly, 63% of respondents cite religion as a key consideration, and 70% consider the usury aspect of bank selection.Islamic banks are considered to have the advantage of applying the principles of fairness, transparency, and avoiding usury. However, obstacles such as limited ATM networks and lack of cooperation with companies are the main challenges in attracting customers. The study suggests Islamic banks to expand their networks, improve public education, and develop more innovative financial products that still comply with sharia principles.

Inflation is a significant economic challenge in Indonesia, affecting price stability and people's purchasing power. In a sharia economic perspective, inflation is not only seen as an economic phenomenon, but also involves moral and social aspects. This article discusses the role of sharia monetary instruments in controlling inflation in Indonesia, highlighting the principles of fairness and transparency. Instruments such as Bank Indonesia Sharia Certificates (SBIS), Bank Indonesia Sharia Savings Facilities (FASBIS), and Sharia Open Market Operations (OPT) have been implemented to regulate the amount of money in circulation and maintain economic stability. Although their contribution to controlling inflation is still limited, the potential of sharia instruments can be strengthened through increasing market understanding, education and collaboration between the government, Bank Indonesia and sharia financial institutions. With more optimal implementation, sharia monetary instruments can create a stable, fair and sustainable economic system for the Indonesian people.

The rapid development of technology has significantly influenced various economic sectors, including finance. Digitalization has introduced opportunities to create more efficient, transparent, and inclusive financial services. Within Islamic finance, technological advancements address challenges such as limited access to Sharia-compliant financial services and complexities in applying Sharia principles practically. One notable innovation is Sharia-based financial technology (fintech), which combines Islamic values with modern technology to provide accessible, ethical, and sustainable financial solutions. This study explores the potential and challenges of Sharia fintech in Indonesia, a country with the largest Muslim population globally. Sharia fintech, including crowdfunding, peer-to-peer lending, and halal digital payment platforms, promotes financial inclusion while adhering to Islamic principles. However, its growth faces regulatory hurdles, consumer protection issues, and a lack of public literacy about Sharia-compliant financial products. The research highlights the role of the government and regulatory bodies such as the Financial Services Authority (OJK) in providing a supportive framework, including legal certainty, technological infrastructure, and public education initiatives. The Sharia Supervisory Board (SSB) holds a pivotal role in ensuring Islamic financial institutions operate in full compliance with Sharia principles. Its responsibilities include issuing fatwas, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring the integrity of financial products and services offered by these institutions. The SSB’s role is critical in maintaining public trust and aligning financial practices with Islamic values. However, significant challenges arise, such as the increasing complexity of financial instruments, rapid technological advancements, and varying interpretations of Sharia principles across jurisdictions. Moreover, public awareness of Islamic finance remains low, and the risk of conflicts of interest in SSB oversight persists. To overcome these challenges, the SSB must strengthen its expertise through continuous education, collaborate with scholars and regulators, and actively engage in public literacy initiatives. Harmonization of Sharia standards at a global level is also essential to navigate the interconnected nature of modern finance. The SSB’s success in addressing these challenges ensures the sustainability of Islamic financial systems while fostering ethical and equitable economic growth.

Law that is just and in line with social values adopted by society. This role is increasingly relevant in facing modern challenges, where understanding and application of the teachings of the Qur'an have an important role in the formation of legal norms in Muslim society. As a holy book, the Qur'an provides moral and ethical guidelines that form the basis for the Islamic legal system. Through its various verses, the Qur'an establishes the principles of justice, goodness, and social responsibility that influence individual behavior and interactions between members of society. The purpose of this study is to explore the values of Islamic law related to the role of the Qur'an in the formation of legal norms. The method used in this study is a qualitative method, by making books, magazines, articles and journals related to the research theme to collect data, then codify it, and then describe it in this article. The results of this study indicate that the application of Islamic law is largely determined by the Qur'an and Sunnah. Laws taken from sources other than the Qur'an and Sunnah will not last long, because the law is made by humans. So that potentially whoever is in power is the one who determines the law. In addition, the Qur'an also provides concrete rules regarding aspects of life, such as marriage, inheritance, and crime, which are then interpreted and applied in the context of sharia law. Thus, the Qur'an not only functions as a spiritual source, but also as a basis for the formation of norms that need to be adjusted to social dynamics and developing legal needs.
