This study aims to (1) identify and describe the forms of rhetorical strategies used by students in language and literature learning, and (2) analyze the reflection and implementation of elements of Makassar cultural traditions in these rhetorical strategies. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques are carried out through direct observation of the learning process and in-depth interviews with students as research subjects. The data obtained are analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that students apply several main rhetorical strategies, such as the use of metaphors, similes, symbolic expressions, and local idioms that represent the values of siri' na pacce, namely the concepts of self-esteem, solidarity, and empathy in Makassar culture. These culture-based rhetorical strategies are proven to be able to increase the effectiveness of academic communication, enrich language expression, and strengthen students' awareness and understanding of local cultural identity in the context of language and literature learning in higher education.

Because it directly impacts revenue, customer loyalty, and long-term business sustainability, customer churn is a critical issue for the e-commerce industry. High churn rates indicate that a business is unable to retain existing customers, which means it is more expensive to acquire new customers. Therefore, a precise analytical approach is needed to identify customer behavior patterns that are likely to churn. Using machine learning methods, this study analyzes and predicts customer churn. For this study, the E-Commerce Customer Churn 2025 dataset, obtained from Kaggle, was used. This dataset consists of 10,000 customer data and contains fifteen variables covering transaction behavior, customer characteristics, and churn status. Data preprocessing, descriptive analysis, exploratory data analysis (EDA), and classification model development using Logistic Regression and Random Forest algorithms were part of the research project. Model evaluation was conducted using a Confusion Matrix and Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) Curve to evaluate the model's accuracy and ability to distinguish between churned and non-churned customers. The results showed that the Random Forest model performed better than Logistic Regression, with an ROC-AUC of 1.00. Furthermore, feature importance analysis revealed that the days_since_last_purchase variable was the most dominant factor in predicting customer churn. These findings are expected to help e-commerce companies design more effective, data-driven customer retention strategies.

Distribution transformers play a crucial role in delivering electrical energy from the distribution system to consumers to ensure power quality and supply continuity. However, in practice, overload conditions often occur due to increasing demand and load growth that exceed the transformer’s rated capacity. This situation can lead to reduced efficiency, increased power losses, and accelerated equipment aging. This study aims to analyze the performance of the CMY distribution transformer at PT PLN (Persero) ULP Labuan, which operates beyond its nominal capacity, and to propose an alternative solution through transformer mutation, namely the replacement of the existing unit with a transformer of more appropriate capacity based on load analysis results. The Least Square Method is employed to predict future load growth and determine the projected time when the transformer will again experience overload after the mutation. The results indicate that the existing 100 kVA transformer is overloaded and should be replaced with a 160 kVA unit. After the mutation, the loading percentage decreases significantly, the transformer’s lifespan is extended, and the reliability of the distribution system improves. Furthermore, the Least Square prediction suggests that the new transformer may experience overload again in future years if no further planning is carried out. Therefore, transformer mutation can be considered an effective and medium-term solution to enhance and maintain the reliability of the electrical distribution system within the operational area of PT PLN (Persero) ULP Labuan.

This study aims to analyze the representation of hegemony in the film Kupu-Kupu Kertas using Antonio Gramsci’s hegemony theory and a literary sociology approach. As a medium of mass communication, film not only conveys stories but also produces and reproduces cultural values, ideologies, and power structures that operate subtly within society. Set against the historical backdrop of 1965, the film portrays ideological clashes between NU/Ansor and the PKI, which affect not only political spheres but also everyday culture, social relations, and moral dynamics that shape the collective consciousness of Javanese society. This research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through content analysis of the film using an observation–note technique to identify scenes, dialogues, and visual symbols related to culture, hegemony, and ideology. The analysis focuses on revealing how dominant values are constructed and negotiated through the representation of characters, narratives, and social traditions portrayed in the film. In conclusion, Kupu-Kupu Kertas not only documents the political tragedy of 1965 but also demonstrates that hegemony operates through subtle mechanisms embedded in culture, morality, and patterns of thought. This study affirms the relevance of Gramsci’s theory in examining literary works and films as social texts that practice power while also opening space for understanding individual resistance to ideological domination.

This study aims to explain the level of student interest and various aspects that influence their interest in reading poetry among students of the Department of Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) class of 2024. The research focuses on how students interpret poetry, factors that encourage and inhibit reading interest, and the role of the academic environment in shaping literary appreciation, especially poetry. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach through interviews and documentation to gain an in-depth understanding of students' experiences, views, and habits in reading poetry. The results show that students' interest in poetry is in the moderate category. Some students consider poetry to be beautiful and meaningful works, thus helping them to reflect on themselves and increase their interest in reading. However, others find it difficult to understand the implied meaning in poetry and consider poetry a complicated and less interesting genre. Factors that encourage interest in reading poetry include the active role of lecturers in presenting interesting poetry material, campus literary activities such as poetry readings and competitions, and the existence of student communities that focus on writing and literary appreciation. Meanwhile, obstacles found include limited literacy facilities such as reading rooms and poetry book collections, low student personal motivation, and the dominance of digital media which is more practical and entertaining than printed literary works. This research emphasizes the importance of creative learning strategies and support for campus activities to revitalize the culture of reading poetry so that literary appreciation can develop more optimally.

The form of historicization in literary criminology views criminality as the result of power relations, unequal social structures, and history. Criminal acts in historicization are always placed in a specific time and place context, tracing how a behavior is considered “criminal” or “against the law” depending on the historical construction formed by the legal system, the state, and the rulers. Historicization also reveals that what is referred to as crime is not absolute, but can change according to historical developments and power struggles. The purpose of this study is to describe the form of criminalization in the novel Lampuki, which is not merely an individual deviant act, but a reflection of historical trauma and a flawed social structure. The approach used is literary sociology. This study uses a descriptive-qualitative method with reading and note-taking techniques obtained from the novel Lampuki by Arafat Nur in the form of sentences and paragraphs. The results of the study show that there are seven data points that fall under the form of criminalization of history. From the seven data points, three findings were generalized and discovered in Arafat Nur novel Lampuki, namely: (1) transgenerational trauma of violence, (2) the destruction of the socio-cultural structure, and (3) dark figure of crime.

This research is motivated by the low quality of learning in various educational units, one of the causes of which is the gap between curriculum design and classroom implementation. A good curriculum will not have a significant impact without effective implementation by teachers. Therefore, curriculum implementation plays a strategic role as a link between macro-level education policies and classroom learning practices. This study aims to analyze the impact of curriculum implementation on learning quality, identify supporting and inhibiting factors, and formulate strategies to strengthen learning quality. The method used is descriptive qualitative, using observation, interviews, and documentation techniques with teachers, principals, and elementary school students. The results show that the implementation of a flexible curriculum, such as the Independent Curriculum, encourages a shift from teacher-centered to student-centered learning, which increases student motivation and engagement through project-based learning and authentic assessment. However, teacher preparedness, limited infrastructure, and administrative burdens remain major obstacles. Authentic assessment has been shown to improve students' critical thinking skills and creativity, but requires consistent managerial support. The implication is that improving the quality of learning must be accompanied by strengthening teacher competency, the availability of resources, and adaptive school management so that curriculum transformation has a real impact on the quality of national education

This study aims to analyze the financial performance of PT ABC Tbk during the period 2019–2023 using the Du Pont System as the primary analytical tool. The Du Pont System is widely recognized as a comprehensive method to evaluate a company’s overall performance by breaking down profitability into several key components: net profit margin, total asset turnover, return on investment (ROI), equity multiplier, and return on equity (ROE). The research employs a descriptive quantitative approach, with data sourced from secondary materials in the form of official financial statements published by the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). A purposive sampling technique was applied to ensure the relevance and accuracy of the data analyzed. The findings reveal that the company’s financial performance throughout the five-year observation period has been less than optimal. Each of the main components of the Du Pont System showed average ratios that fell below the industry benchmark, indicating structural weaknesses in both profitability and efficiency. Specifically, the net profit margin and total asset turnover were constrained by high operational costs, while ROI and ROE were further pressured by volatility in foreign exchange rates. These inefficiencies highlight the vulnerability of the company’s financial structure to both internal management challenges and external macroeconomic factors. Based on the results, the study provides several strategic recommendations to improve financial performance. First, optimization of cost management is necessary to reduce operational inefficiencies that directly affect profit margins. Second, the implementation of foreign exchange risk mitigation strategies, such as hedging, is suggested to minimize the negative impacts of currency fluctuations. Finally, to strengthen revenue growth, the company is encouraged to adopt and expand digital marketing initiatives as a means of improving sales performance and market penetration. Overall, this study emphasizes the importance of integrating financial control with strategic innovation to ensure long-term sustainability and competitiveness in the pharmaceutical industry.

This study aims to describe the social transformations found in the literary aspects of the Advanced Indonesian Language Textbook for grade 11 and analyze its relationship to the construction of the Pancasila Student Profile (P5). The main focus of this study is to examine how the literary works presented in the textbook function not only as a medium for language learning but also as a vehicle for character development and social understanding for students. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with sociological literary analysis techniques, where data is obtained from excerpts from poetry, short stories, and plays that depict social change. The results indicate that the social transformations reflected in these literary works are divided into two main forms: collective behavior and social movements. Collective behavior is demonstrated through themes of fashion and fashion, urban legends, and the phenomenon of mass hysteria, which implicitly depict social conflict, class inequality, and the dynamics of societal culture. Meanwhile, social movements are depicted in the narratives of characters who fight for change against norms, traditions, and social structures that limit freedom. This representation demonstrates resistance, critical awareness, and a drive towards a more just and equal life. The findings of this study are closely related to the dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile, such as critical reasoning skills, a spirit of mutual cooperation, an attitude of upholding social justice, and independence in thought and action. Therefore, it can be concluded that literary works in Indonesian language textbooks not only present aesthetic value and literary appreciation, but also serve as an effective means of instilling national values and supporting the formation of student character in accordance with the vision of Pancasila.

The purpose of this study is to determine the extent to which the relationship between quality and promotion influences customer decisions in selecting Micro People's Business Credit (KUR) products at PT Bank Sumsel Babel KC Palembang. This study applies a quantitative approach, where the entire population consists of 765 customers, with 88 people being sampled through a purposive sampling technique. The data sources used in this study include primary and secondary data, obtained through direct interviews with related parties and the distribution of questionnaires to respondents who have met the research criteria. To analyze the data, a series of instrument feasibility tests, classical assumption tests, and data processing using multiple linear regression analysis were conducted. This analysis includes a t-test (partial), F-test (simultaneous), and the coefficient of determination (R²) to measure the strength of the influence of the independent variables on the dependent variable. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that both service quality and promotion have a positive and significant influence on consumer decisions, both partially and simultaneously. This indicates that the better the service quality and the more effective the promotion, the higher the tendency of consumers to decide to choose KUR Micro products. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.894 indicates that 89.4% of customer decisions can be explained by service quality and promotions, while the remaining 10.6% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study, such as economic conditions, personal experience, recommendations from third parties, and psychological factors. These results provide an important influence for bank management in developing more targeted service and promotion strategies. The results of this study can also serve as a basis for strategic policy-making in developing banking products based on customer needs.

This article discusses the use of local dialects in short stories and poetry from Central Kalimantan, as well as their impact on the cultural identity of the community. Local dialects, such as Dayak and Banjar languages, serve as crucial elements in folk literature that reflect the life, values, and traditions of the people. Through the analysis of literary works incorporating these dialects, the article demonstrates how dialects not only enrich the reading experience but also function as tools for cultural preservation. The use of local dialects in literature helps strengthen cultural identity and a sense of unity within the community. Despite challenges in the application and publication of literature in regional languages, it is essential to continue supporting the use of local dialects to ensure the cultural richness of Central Kalimantan remains preserved and relevant.

Domestic violence (KDRT) is a form of human rights violation that occurs in the domestic space and has a wide impact on the integrity of the family. The reform of the criminal law through Law No. 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code marks a more serious recognition of domestic violence as a criminal act. This article aims to examine the update of the criminal rules against domestic violence perpetrators in the new Criminal Code and examine it from the perspective of Islamic law. Using a normative juridical approach and comparative analysis, this study found that the new Criminal Code has adopted a more progressive approach to victim protection, including in criminal arrangements against perpetrators. On the other hand, Islamic law views domestic violence as a violation of the principles of justice, compassion, and moral responsibility in the family. Criminalization in Islam is preventive and corrective, and emphasizes a just solution, not merely repressive. Therefore, the reform of the national criminal law needs to be harmonized with Islamic values, in order to establish a penal system that is not only legally just, but also ethically and socially.

The reform of criminal law in Indonesia through Law No. 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code (KUHP) marks an important paradigm shift in the criminal justice system, especially related to the protection of victims of crimes. So far, the orientation of the Criminal Code of colonial heritage has emphasized more on the perpetrators of crimes, while victims are often positioned passively and marginalized. This article aims to critically examine the extent to which Law No. 1 of 2023 strengthens the rights of victims, both in material and procedural aspects.
