HIV/AIDS poses a considerable public health challenge on a global scale, and Indonesia is no exception. The HIV virus can be transmitted through several pathways, including mother-to-child transmission during pregnancy, childbirth, and breastfeeding, as well as through unprotected sexual intercourse and the use of non-sterile medical equipment. Studies have shown that delivering a baby via caesarean section can lower the risk of HIV transmission compared to vaginal delivery. Additionally, breastfeeding from HIV-positive mothers may heighten the chances of passing the virus to their infants, particularly under certain conditions. To reduce the risk of HIV transmission, preventive measures such as antiretroviral therapy (ARV) are vital, especially for serodiscordant couples—those in which one partner is HIV-positive while the other is not. Furthermore, social support and counseling play critical roles in encouraging adherence to treatment regimens among patients. This research aims to deepen our understanding of HIV transmission and to investigate effective preventive strategies that can significantly lower the risk of infection.

Drug abuse among children is a serious issue requiring special attention in prevention and handling efforts. This study employs a normative juridical approach to identify challenges and propose solutions regarding legal protection for children involved in drug abuse in Indonesia. The results indicate that existing regulations still face various obstacles in protecting children, particularly in applying restorative justice principles and rehabilitation tailored to children's conditions as offenders. Effective legal protection must consider the psychological and social aspects of the child while emphasizing strong collaboration between the government, non-governmental organizations, and the community to support prevention and rehabilitation efforts. A thorough understanding of the implementation of the Child Protection Law and the Narcotics Law is crucial to enhancing comprehensive legal protection for children in Indonesia. This approach aims to create a more humane system focused on the child's future, enabling them to break free from the cycle of drug abuse and have the opportunity to make positive contributions to society.

Islamic banking in Indonesia has experienced significant growth alongside increasing public interest in financial products that comply with Islamic principles. However, in practice, there are still challenges that prevent Islamic banking products and services from fully meeting Sharia standards. Some of the issues include the use of wadiah contracts in current accounts, which deviate from their original concept of safekeeping; the application of murabahah contracts for financing consumptive goods, which contradicts their intended purpose; the frequent misuse of ijarah muntahia bit tamlik (IMBT) contracts for speculative purposes; and mudharabah contracts with unfair profit-sharing ratios. Additionally, factors such as a lack of understanding of Islamic finance, competitive pressure from conventional banks, inadequate supervision, and differing interpretations of Sharia law further hinder the implementation of fully Sharia-compliant products and services. To resolve these challenges, various efforts are needed, including enhancing the quality of human resources through education and training, implementing stricter supervision by relevant authorities, developing clearer and more comprehensive operational standards, and fostering closer collaboration with Islamic scholars for accurate legal guidance. These steps are expected to help Islamic banking fully adhere to Sharia principles, increase public trust, and support the growth of the Islamic finance industry.

The development of financial technology, especially with the introduction of the digital rupiah, presents new challenges in the supervision and prevention of money laundering (TPPU) in Indonesia. Although existing regulations are sufficient to regulate conventional transactions, these regulations are not fully prepared to anticipate potential money laundering risks related to digital transactions. This study identifies shortcomings in existing TPPU policies, including limited supervisory infrastructure, lack of regulations for cross-border transactions, and challenges in verifying identity in digital transactions. More adaptive policy reforms and comprehensive regulatory updates are needed to address these challenges. Applying advanced technology, strengthening coordination between related institutions, and public education is key to creating a safe and trusted financial ecosystem in dealing with financial technology-based transactions, including Rupiah Digital.
