This study discusses the role of Islamic educational philosophy in guiding the transformation of pesantren education in the modern era. Islamic education in Indonesia plays an important role in shaping students’ character, spirituality, and intellectual abilities, with pesantren as one of the oldest institutions that preserve Islamic values. However, the rapid development of globalization and technology requires pesantren to adapt without losing their identity. This research aims to explain how Islamic educational philosophy becomes the foundation for transformation and to identify forms of change that are relevant to current challenges. The study uses a qualitative approach through a literature review, collecting data from journals and other relevant sources. Data are analyzed using content analysis by organizing and comparing findings from different studies. The results show that pesantren transformation occurs through a selective adaptation process, combining traditional values such as moral education, spirituality, and classical learning with modern elements like curriculum integration, interactive learning methods, and digital technology. Some challenges still exist, including limited facilities, unequal access to technology, and the need to improve teacher competence. Islamic educational philosophy helps maintain balance between intellectual, spiritual, and moral aspects so that modernization does not eliminate pesantren identity.

Astronomy in Islam (Ilmu Falak) is a branch of science that studies the position of celestial bodies related to the implementation of Islamic worship, especially in determining the qibla direction and prayer times. In this simple study, an analysis was conducted on several mosques, namely Masjid Al-Huda, Masjid Bahrul Ulum, Masjid Besar Al-Muslimun Kepatihan, and Masjid several Besar Al-Falah Ngunut. The analysis was carried out by comparing the qibla azimuth with the direction of the building or prayer rows, as well as evaluating the suitability of prayer times used by the mosques with digital standard times and official prayer schedules. The method used in this study was field observation assisted by digital applications and online prayer schedule sources. The results showed differences in qibla direction deviation and prayer times in each mosque. The largest qibla deviation was found at Masjid Bahrul Ulum, while the smallest deviation was found at Masjid Besar Al-Muslimun Kepatihan. Meanwhile, the prayer time differences ranged from 1 minute to 1 minute 30 seconds. From these results, it can be understood that accuracy in determining the qibla direction and prayer times is very important to support the proper implementation of worship. In addition, the development of digital technology greatly assists the process of falak analysis in modern society.

Consumerism is an increasingly dominant phenomenon in modern society along with the development of capitalism, globalization, and information technology. Society's consumption patterns have shifted from being primarily oriented toward fulfilling needs to fulfilling symbolic desires. In this context, Jean Baudrillard's thinking is relevant in explaining that consumption is no longer based on use value, but rather on the sign value inherent in a commodity. This study aims to analyze the phenomenon of consumerism in modern society through Jean Baudrillard's critical perspective and to uncover its social implications. The research method used is a qualitative approach with library research, which examines various scientific literature, books, and journals related to consumerism and simulation theory. The results show that consumerism has created a pseudo-reality (simulacra), where individuals consume based on symbolic impulses shaped by the media, advertising, and popular culture. Consumption becomes a means to construct self-identity and gain social recognition, thus encouraging excessive consumer behavior. Furthermore, this phenomenon also results in social alienation, identity crises, and dependence on the global capitalist system. Thus, consumerism is not only an economic activity but also a complex socio-cultural phenomenon. Therefore, critical awareness is needed so that society can be more rational and selective in its consumption practices

Hospitals play a strategic role in improving public health through professional, safe, and high-quality healthcare services. In modern healthcare organizations, service quality is not only determined by medical facilities and technology but also by the quality of human resources, particularly healthcare workers who directly interact with patients. This study aims to analyze the influence of authentic leadership on healthcare workers’ performance and hospital service quality. The study employed a quantitative explanatory research design involving 120 healthcare workers in a hospital setting. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed through multiple linear regression analysis. The findings demonstrate that authentic leadership has a positive and significant effect on healthcare workers’ performance, with a regression coefficient value of 0.648 and a significance level of 0.000. Furthermore, authentic leadership indirectly influences hospital service quality through healthcare workers’ performance, with an indirect effect value of 0.521. These findings indicate that leaders who demonstrate honesty, transparency, integrity, and interpersonal support are able to create a healthy work environment that enhances healthcare workers’ motivation, responsibility, and professionalism. Consequently, improved employee performance contributes to better hospital service quality, particularly in responsiveness, empathy, and communication with patients. This study highlights that authentic leadership is an effective leadership approach for strengthening healthcare human resources and improving hospital service quality in contemporary healthcare organizations.

This study analyzes the regulatory gaps in digital forensics regarding the handling of natural resource crimes and the state’s constitutional responsibilities following the enactment of Law No. 1 of 2024. Modern natural resource crimes, such as illegal logging and illegal mining, have evolved to leverage digital technology, leaving complex electronic traces in the form of GPS data and digital documents. However, Indonesia still faces procedural gaps in the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP), unclear technical standards (SNI 27037:2014 is voluntary in nature), and conflicts between the Information and Electronic Transactions Law (UU ITE) and sectoral NRE laws. This normative legal study employs legislative, conceptual, and case-based approaches. The research findings indicate that the absence of digital forensic authentication standards has fatal implications, as evidenced by the Sidoarjo District Court Decision No. 488/Pid.B/2024/PN Sda, which rejected electronic evidence. This situation constitutes state negligence (staatsverzuim) that violates Article 1(3) and Article 33(3) of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. The study recommends the development of standard digital forensic procedures, the acceleration of ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory accreditation, and the harmonization of sectoral regulations

Digital transformation in public administration has become a strategic agenda in modern bureaucratic reform aimed at improving effectiveness, efficiency, transparency, and the quality of public services. This study aims to analyze the digital transformation of public administration through a comparative study between Indonesia and South Korea, particularly in the implementation of digital government. The research employs a qualitative method with a comparative study approach and is supported by library research through the collection of secondary data from scientific journals, international institutional reports, government policy documents, and relevant previous studies. Data analysis was conducted descriptively and comparatively using the approaches of Digital Era Governance (DEG), Institutional Theory, New Public Management (NPM), and Socio-Technical Systems Theory. The findings indicate that South Korea has successfully developed an integrated digital government through consistent national policies, strong data interoperability, high bureaucratic capacity, adaptive organizational culture, and equitable digital infrastructure development. Meanwhile, Indonesia is still in the transition stage from e-government to digital government and faces various challenges, such as inter-agency system fragmentation, low data interoperability, unequal digital infrastructure, limited civil servant competencies, and bureaucratic resistance to change. This study concludes that the success of digital transformation in public administration is determined more by institutional strength and bureaucratic reform than merely by technology adoption. Therefore, Indonesia needs to position digital transformation as a comprehensive state reform agenda in order to create a modern, responsive, and public service-oriented government.

He rapid advancement of digital technology has significantly transformed human life, particularly in the way information is accessed, processed, and distributed. While this development brings numerous benefits, it also generates serious challenges such as information overload, misinformation, and the decline of critical thinking skills among digital users. This study aims to examine the relevance of the philosophical thought of Al-Kindi on intellect (aql) and knowledge in addressing these contemporary issues within the digital era. The research employs a qualitative approach through library research, analyzing classical philosophical texts and contemporary scholarly works related to epistemology and digital literacy. The findings show that Al-Kindi positions intellect as the primary faculty of human beings in understanding truth and organizing knowledge systematically and rationally. According to Al-Kindi, knowledge must be grounded in logical reasoning to achieve certainty and clarity. In the context of the digital era, this perspective is highly relevant as individuals are required to critically evaluate vast and unfiltered information circulating in digital spaces. This study concludes that Al-Kindi’s rational philosophy provides a strong intellectual foundation for developing digital literacy, strengthening critical thinking skills, and promoting responsible engagement with technology in modern society.

The rapid advancement of information technology has reshaped modern society, in particular influencing how young individuals express their identities through fashion. The choice of clothing goes beyond mere practical functions, becoming a symbol of social status and values as young people attempt to adapt to rapidly changing trends, driven largely by digital platforms such as social media. These phenomena have simultaneously led to alarming waste production and environmental degradation, reflecting the mismatch between modern lifestyles and theological mandates on the management of creation. The fast-paced fashion industry, characterized by rapid production cycles and high consumerism, exacerbates the ecological crisis by generating large amounts of textile waste and contributing to detrimental practices in global supply chains. The study uses a qualitative approach, emphasizing literature research to analyze relevant literature and synthesize findings into meaningful discourse. Ultimately, it advocates a transformative catechesis that integrates ecological awareness into the formation of young people's faith, leveraging digital spaces to advocate for simplicity and community engagement in sustainable practices. The challenges faced in fostering this ecological awareness include the prevalence of a culture of instant gratification and the gap between knowledge and action, which hinders the alignment of belief with action. Theological reflection further emphasizes the spiritual implications of consumer behavior, placing ecological responsibility as a fundamental aspect of authentic expression of faith. Based on these insights, this paper underscores the importance for the Church to be proactively involved in the fight for ecological preservation, recognizing that true faith is manifested through tangible actions that honor the divine creation.

Advances in digital technology have transformed the paradigm of faith proclamation, requiring the Church to optimize social media as a relevant catechetical instrument. This study aims to examine how the use of the TikTok platform can be optimized as an effective means of creative catechesis in connecting complex faith teachings for people in the digital era. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a literature study technique, where data is collected from various scientific literature, Church documents, and relevant library sources. The research findings indicate that TikTok is an effective digital space for catechesis because it is supported by attractive audio-visual features, interactive features such as stitches and comments that enable two-way dialogue, and an algorithmic system that expands the reach of proclamation. The strategy of catechesis through short videos has proven to be able to change the perception of faith teaching that has become rigid to a more personal spiritual experience that is easily understood by all levels of society, especially the younger generation. The implications of this study emphasize the need for the Church to consistently adapt to digital culture and increase content creativity to ensure the continuity of inclusive evangelization amidst the dynamics of modern developments.

The digital transformation driven by the acceleration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has fundamentally transformed leadership paradigms and the structure of the modern workplace. This study aims to provide an in-depth analysis of the various strategic opportunities and systemic risks arising from the integration of AI into contemporary organizational leadership practices, where technology is no longer merely a tool but a collaborative partner in managerial processes. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method on 30 reputable scientific journals with publications spanning up to 2026, this article analyzes the transition of the leader’s role from a conventional hierarchical model toward the concept of Augmented Leadership. Data analysis results indicate that AI implementation offers significant opportunities through data-driven decision-making systems with high precision, intelligent resource allocation optimization, and enhanced leadership intervention effectiveness, which has been documented to reach up to 35%. However, this transformation also brings a series of complex multidimensional risks, including algorithmic biases that could trigger inequality cascades, ethical dilemmas related to operational transparency (black box), and the potential erosion of the meaning of work for employees. The discussion in this article emphasizes that the success of this transformation depends not only on technical expertise, but also on redefining leadership competencies to prioritize emotional intelligence and ethical governance frameworks such as the CARE Framework (Control, Awareness, Responsibility, and Evaluation).

The advancement of digital technology has significantly transformed organizational decision-making, particularly in modern leadership contexts that demand rapid and data-driven responses. Artificial Intelligence(AI) has emerged as a strategic technology capable of enhancing accuracy, speed, and effectiveness in decision-making through comprehensive data analysis. This study aims to analyze the role of AI in supporting leadership decision-making and its implications for organizational effectiveness using a narrative literature review approach. Secondary data comprising peer-reviewed national and international journal articles were analyzed to identify patterns, themes, and interactions between AI, leadership, and decision-making processes. The findings indicate that AI functions not only as a data analysis tool but also as a strategic element that strengthens leaders’ capabilities in evidence-based decision-making, improves team coordination, and optimizes organizational processes. Thematic synthesis identified three main domains analytics and predictive capabilities, leadership strategies, and implementation challenges that form the basis for integrating AI into managerial practice. This study contributes theoretically by expanding the digital leadership and technology-based decision-making framework and practically by providing guidance for organizations to optimize AI utilization to enhance decision quality and efficiency. The research also offers directions for future empirical studies to explore AI-leadership interactions across various organizational sectors, supporting more adaptive, effective, and data-driven decision-making in the digital era.

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has transformed how business organizations manage operations, process information, and make strategic decisions, thereby creating a need for leadership patterns that are more adaptive, visionary, and responsive to digital transformation. This study aims to explain the concept of AI Leadership in the business context, identify why modern leadership must adapt to the advancement of AI, and analyze the leadership strategies that are relevant for navigating the era of AI-driven business. The study employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach with a narrative-thematic synthesis of relevant open-access scholarly literature on AI Leadership, digital leadership, human–AI collaboration, business transformation, and AI ethics. The findings show that AI Leadership represents a modern form of leadership that emphasizes not only technological understanding but also the ability of leaders to direct organizational change, foster data-driven decision making, manage collaboration between humans and technology, and implement responsible AI governance. The study also finds that the main strategies required by leaders in the AI era include strengthening digital literacy, developing adaptive managerial capabilities, enhancing human–AI collaboration, and integrating ethical principles into technology implementation. This article contributes conceptually by reinforcing AI Leadership as a leadership framework that is highly relevant to modern organizations and offers practical implications for the development of business leadership in the era of digital transformation.

Employee engagement is critical to organizational performance, employee well-being, and long-term sustainability. In hybrid work contexts, generational differences have become increasingly evident, particularly between Generation Y and Generation Z employees. Generation Y tends to emphasize work–life balance, career development, and meaningful collaboration, while Generation Z prioritizes flexibility, job security, digital integration, and the use of technology in the workplace. This study adopts a systematic literature review (SLR) approach by synthesizing findings from various peer-reviewed studies related to employee engagement and hybrid work practices across generations. The review focuses on identifying key factors that influence employee engagement in modern work environments. The results indicate that hybrid work can significantly enhance employee engagement when organizations provide flexibility, autonomy, adequate technological support, professional development opportunities, and fair reward systems. In addition, supportive organizational culture and effective leadership are important in maintaining employee motivation and commitment. However, differences in generational expectations require organizations to implement adaptive managerial strategies, including flexible work policies, personalized communication approaches, and inclusive leadership practices to strengthen employee engagement across different generations in hybrid work settings.

The development of information technology in the era of globalization has significantly transformed communication patterns in modern society, particularly through the emergence of social media. Social media functions not only as a communication tool but also influences ways of thinking, social interaction, and relationship building. This study aims to examine the impact of social media on changes in communication patterns, identify challenges related to the digital divide, and propose solutions to address the negative effects of social media. The method used is a descriptive approach through literature review and analysis of social phenomena related to social media usage. The discussion indicates that social media accelerates information dissemination, expands communication spaces, and increases public participation. However, it also presents challenges such as the spread of misinformation, reduced quality of face-to-face interactions, digital addiction, and disparities in access to technology and digital literacy. Therefore, strengthening digital literacy, promoting ethical communication, enhancing the roles of families and governments, and encouraging self-regulation among users are essential to ensure that social media contributes positively to modern social life.

The results of the study show that South Korea has succeeded in developing an integrated digital government because it is supported by consistent national policies, strong data interoperability, high bureaucratic capacity, adaptive organizational culture, and equitable distribution of digital infrastructure. In contrast, Indonesia is still in the transition stage from e-government to digital government and faces various obstacles such as fragmentation of inter-agency systems, low data interoperability, inequality in digital infrastructure, limited ASN competency, and bureaucratic resistance to change. Based on the Digital Era Governance theory, South Korea has successfully implemented the principles of reintegration, needs-based holism, and digitization of changes, while Indonesia remains suboptimal in terms of bureaucratic integration and services based on public needs. This study concludes that the success of digital transformation in public administration is determined more by institutional strength and bureaucratic reform than simply by technology adoption. Therefore, Indonesia needs to prioritize digital transformation as a comprehensive national reform agenda to create a modern, responsive, and service-oriented government.

The increasing complexity of competition in the healthcare industry requires hospitals to adopt adaptive and strategic management practices to enhance organizational competitiveness. This study aims to analyze the role of strategic management in improving hospital competitiveness through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. A total of 41 national and international scientific articles published between 2014 and 2025 were reviewed, sourced from Scopus, Web of Science, Google Scholar, and Sinta databases, following the PRISMA guidelines for literature selection. The synthesis of findings indicates that strategic management plays a significant role in strengthening hospital competitiveness through clear strategy formulation, consistent implementation, and continuous performance evaluation. Key factors contributing to competitive advantage include strategic leadership, adaptive organizational culture, effective human resource management, utilization of information technology, and integration between strategic planning and operational processes. The results emphasize that hospitals implementing strategic management comprehensively are better equipped to respond to environmental dynamics, improve service quality, and sustain competitive advantage in the long term. This study highlights the importance of strategic management as a foundational element in modern hospital governance and provides a conceptual basis for future empirical research in healthcare management.

The dominance of digital technology in contemporary society has led to a shift in human values. Technology no longer serves merely as a tool but has evolved into a crucial system shaping interaction, communication, and behavior. This study uses qualitative methods to examine how digital technology influences human values in modern society. For this purpose, a literature review was carried out, incorporating thematic analysis of relevant sources. According to this study, the prevalence of digital technology has significantly transformed many aspects of social life. This includes the transition from a user-centered paradigm to a more automated system-centered paradigm; the conversion of human identity into data representation in digital systems; as well as the move from in-person to online communication within social exchanges. These effects undermine the quality of social relationships, reduce empathy and interpersonal interaction, increase dependence on technology, and lead to dehumanization. Furthermore, changes in information perception have the potential to improve digital literacy but simultaneously reduce the quality of critical public reflection. Nevertheless, digital technology continues to offer advantages such as easier access to information and productivity gains. Therefore, strategic efforts are needed to improve user-centered technology, digital skills, and adaptable regulations.

The rapid development of digital technology has significantly transformed financial transaction systems, including the use of securities. Conventional securities, which traditionally function as instruments of payment, evidence, and transfer of rights, face various challenges such as document forgery, loss, and administrative inefficiency. These conditions have encouraged the digitalization of securities, requiring adjustments within the Indonesian legal framework. This study aims to analyze the transformation of securities from conventional forms to digital formats within the perspective of Indonesian law and to assess the adequacy of existing regulations in addressing such developments. The research employs a normative juridical approach by examining primary legal materials in the form of statutory regulations and secondary legal materials consisting of legal literature and previous studies. The findings indicate that although electronic documents have been legally recognized as valid evidence, there is no specific and comprehensive regulation governing digital securities. Consequently, legal uncertainty remains regarding the transfer of rights, evidentiary strength, and legal protection for holders of digital securities. Indonesia's maritime security faces increasingly complex challenges due to the rise of hybrid threats that combine traditional and non-traditional elements. One of the main threats is the shadow fleet, operating covertly with unregistered ships, evading detection, and exploiting weaknesses in maritime surveillance to engage in illegal activities such as smuggling, illegal transshipment, and unlawful exploitation of natural resources. This phenomenon exacerbates Indonesia's maritime security situation, particularly in strategic areas like the Natuna Sea and the Sunda Strait, which are vulnerable to geopolitical conflicts and overlapping territorial claims. Additionally, transnational crimes such as piracy, drug trafficking, and human trafficking further undermine security in Indonesian waters. To address these threats, Indonesia needs to strengthen its maritime surveillance capacity by adopting advanced technologies such as early detection sistems and the Automatic Identification Sistem (AIS), as well as enhancing coordination between maritime agencies like Bakamla and the Indonesian Navy (TNI AL) to improve responses to harder-to-detect threats. Moreover, international cooperation with neighboring countries and regional maritime organizations like ASEAN must be bolstered to tackle cross-border threats. Strengthening surveillance, modernizing technology, and fostering more integrative maritime diplomacy will be crucial in safeguarding Indonesia's maritime sovereignty and ensuring the stability of this increasingly strategic maritime region.
