This study analyzed the use of deixis in the lyrics of Arctic Monkeys' AM album to understand its contribution to narrative meaning and emotional connection with listeners. The purpose of the study was to explore how linguistic elements, particularly deixis, function as pragmatic tools in popular music. Using Levinson's (1983) theory, the study identified five types of deixis: persona, spatial, temporal, social, and discourse. The analysis examined their functions in the pragmatic context of song lyrics. According to the rules, the results showed a dominant pattern of person deixis, which strengthened the emotional connection between the narrator and the listener. Additionally, temporal and spatial deixis enriched the narrative by emphasizing time and place contexts. These findings suggested that linguistic elements in song lyrics reinforced emotional and narrative experiences. This study concluded that deixis contributed significantly to enhancing listeners' emotional and narrative engagement, offering valuable insights into the use of language in creative media such as music and the broader study of pragmatics.

This research discusses the use of code-mixing in the lyrics of the song “Now I Know” by Kaleb J. Code-mixing, in the form of the insertion of English elements into Indonesian lyrics, often appears in modern music as a response to globalization. A qualitative research approach is used to identify the forms of code-mixing (words, phrases, and clauses), its function, and its impact on the song's message. The results of the analysis show that code-mixing dominates the chorus with English to accentuate emotional intensity, while Indonesian is present in the verses to provide a narrative that is familiar to local listeners. The use of two languages reflects a balance between local and global elements, enhancing the musical aesthetics and international appeal of the song. Intercoding acts as a linguistic and artistic tool that expands the range of listeners, supports the themes of love and regret, and strengthens pop music's connection to globalization trends.

The lyrics of the song that will be discussed in this study are Wildflower which is a pop song created by Billie Eilish which was released on May 17 2024 in her third studio album, Hit Me Hard and Soft. This song tells the story of Billie's experience of initially comforting a girl who is heartbroken after a breakup, but then she actually has a relationship with the girl's ex-lover. The purpose of this study is to describe the language style contained in the lyrics of the Wildflower song and explain the meaning of the language described. This research is qualitative research. The research for this study is to use data analysis, namely listening to the song to be analyzed, understanding the content of the lyrics, then looking for words that contain majas or language style. The method used is qualitative descriptive. The data of this study is an analysis of the use of metaphor, personification, repetition, hyperbole, and irony language styles contained in the lyrics of the Wildflower song. The results of this study show that there is the use of metaphor, personification, repetition, hyperbole, and irony language styles in the lyrics of Wildflower songs.

This study looks at feminism in Melly Goeslow's song Bunda. This study aims to shed light on how popular music, in particular, shapes societal perceptions of women's roles. The research type is descriptive qualitative, and the methodology is qualitative. An analysis of feminism in Melly Goeslow's song Bunda serves as the study's data source. Finding significant patterns, comprehending phenomena, organizing, isolating, and arranging data, and drawing conclusions were all part of the data analysis process. Marxist feminism, radical feminism, liberal feminism, and socialist feminism are the classifications for one verse, one verse, and one verse, respectively.

This study aims to determine the meaning of the song masak kopi popularized by Oesman in the Malay community in Bengkalis, Riau Province. The theory used in this study is the theory (Barthes, 1968) by describing the meaning of denotation as the first level meaning and connotation as the second level meaning. Also supported by the theory of sociology by Schmitt. It is an action of a person or group of people when interacting with something outside themselves and understanding information about their environment which is obtained through sight, hearing, appreciation, feelings, and experience and interpretation. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques in this study are observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques using data reduction, data presentation. Subjects in this study amounted to 4 people. The results of the research on the meaning of the masak kopi song in the Malay community in Bengkalis can be interpreted from 2 sides, namely from the music and from the lyrics. The Bengkalis Malay community interprets the music of the masak kopi song to reflect the characteristics of traditional Malay music which is very full of aesthetic and cultural values of the Malay community in Bengkalis, from the rhythm, melody and instruments used that strongly reflect the Malay identity of Bengkalis. The meaning of the lyrics can be concluded that the lyrics in the song masak kopi are related to the failure and fragility of love and hope caused by the influence of the establishment.

Poets must be able to effectively convey unrest through their work. .Feast tends to use a variety of majas that are less popular among its listeners so that the messages that .Feast wants to convey to the listeners of its songs become varied and do not match the main message it wants to convey. This research aims to analyze the use of majas in the lyrics of the song “Kami Belum Tentu” by .Feast. This research uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach to identify and understand the types of majas used. The results of the analysis show that there are 12 types of majas with a total of 51 uses of majas, including metaphor, personification, hyperbole, irony, paradox, and others. This research reveals that the variety of majas in songs provides aesthetic appeal while strengthening critical messages. However, the complexity of meaning in the lyrics is often a challenge for listeners, especially those who are less familiar with the majas used. Through this research, it is hoped that listeners can understand the meaning of songs more comprehensively, so that the message of the singer can be conveyed effectively.

Sal Priadi is a Male Songwriter and Singer. His song entitled Gala Sunflower is very popular among teenagers, especially today. This research was motivated by the desire to know the meaning of the words and terms in the song, which could become material for thought and reflection about life. The song Gala Sunflower tells of longing for someone who has died, and this research aims to understand the meaning of the words and terms contained in the song. Research on the song Gala Bunga Matahari to identify several things contained in the song, such as the various settings contained in the song, the meaning of words, the meaning of terms, and implement it as language and literature learning material. The research method used is a qualitative method from song sources using the note-taking technique. The steps used in understanding the song Gala Bunga Sunflower use hermeneutic techniques. Understanding the song Gala Bunga Sunflower can be linked to basic learning competencies, such as identifying the meaning of words and the meaning of terms. It is hoped that students can apply the meaning contained in Sal Priadi's song "Gala Bunga Matahari".

This study aims to analyze the linguistic aspects of the lyrics of the song "Asmalibrasi" by Soegi Bornean. Through an analysis of diction, style, sentence structure, and theme, this study attempts to reveal the beauty and depth of meaning contained in the lyrics of the song. The results of the study indicate that the lyrics of the song "Asmalibrasi" are rich in creative and effective use of language, and raise universal themes that are relevant to the socio-cultural context. This study is expected to contribute to the study of Indonesian language and literature, as well as become a reference for musicians, poets, and lyricists in creating higher quality works.

An idea, idea or thought of a person is all conveyed through ahasa because language is a bridge for the delivery of these ideas or thoughts, with that everything that wants to be expressed can be conveyed well, of course, with the use of good and correct language (Brastyan, Andini Prima 2019:14). In this study, the author uses a qualitative approach in terms of the study of semiotics, therefore why in this study we focus on the analysis of semiotics in a song entitled cinto indak sapadan sung by Yola Aurelia Laksmi or widely known as Rayola (2024). The song cinto indak sapadan is a song written by Rozac Tanjuang and popularized by Rayola which was launched on 2024-02-01, this song uses the Minang language which is full of meaning. In the analysis of this song, it teaches us about the meaning of sincerity and must accept something that does not suit us and better understand the meaning of the song when we understand the science in semantics as a means of understanding the lyrics of the song that we analyze.

Bahasa memiliki bentuk yang unik, yaitu tidak hanya dapat digunakan dalam bentuk lisan maupun tulisan saja, tetapi juga dapat digunakan dalam bidang lain seperti lagu, film, puisi, novel dan masih banyak lagi. Lagu merupakan salah satu media komunikasi yang paling populer di masyarakat untuk mengungkapkan pikiran dan perasaan penciptanya. Lagu memadukan alunan musik dan lirik untuk menyampaikan perasaan, ide, perasaan, dan pikiran. Di era sekarang ini, banyak orang yang gemar mendengarkan lagu. Dalam sebuah lagu, salah satu unsur yang dapat menjadi media utama untuk menyampaikan ide, perasaan, atau pikiran adalah lirik dalam lagu tersebut. Lirik dalam sebuah lagu dapat menimbulkan perasaan sedih, senang, depresi, dan lain sebagainya. Dalam lirik tersebut, terdapat banyak pesan yang dapat disampaikan penciptanya kepada pendengar melalui lirik lagu tersebut. Akan tetapi, sebagian pendengar terkadang tidak hanya berusaha memahami lirik lagu tersebut, tetapi mereka berusaha mencari makna yang disampaikan oleh pencipta lagu tersebut. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menganalisis deiksis dalam lirik lagu “Set Fire to the Rain” karya Adele. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis deiksis yang digunakan dan menemukan jenis-jenis deiksis yang dominan terdapat dalam lirik lagu tersebut.

The aim of this research is to determine the influence of PAK teachers' social competence on the morality of class VII students at SMP Negeri 1 Laguboti for the 2024/2025 academic year. The method used in this research uses quantitative, descriptive and inferential research methods. The population, namely all Protestant Christian students in class VII of SMP Negeri 1 Laguboti for the 2024/2025 academic year, totaled 199 people and a sample of 50 people was determined, namely 25% of the population using a simple random sampling technique. Data was collected using a positive closed questionnaire with 40 items. The results of data analysis show that there is an influence of the social competence of PAK teachers on the morality of class VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Laguboti for the 2024/2025 academic year: 1) Test the analysis requirements: a) positive relationship test obtained by the value rxy = 0,433 > rtabel(=0,05,n=50) = 0,297 thus it is known that there is a positive relationship between variable X and variable Y. b) Testing a significant relationship obtained a value of thitung= 3,333 > ttabel(=0,05,dk=n-2=48)= 2,021 thus there is a significant relationship between variable X and variable Y. 2) Test the effect: a) Test the regression equation, obtained the regression equation =46,75+0,26X. b) Regression coefficient of determination test (r2) = 18,8%. 3) Test the hypothesis using the F test to obtain Fhitung > Ftabel=(=0,05), dk numerator k=20,dk denominator=n-2=50-2=48) namely 11,08 > 1,51. Thus, Ha, that is, there is an influence of the social competence of PAK teachers on the morality of class VII students at SMP Negeri 1 Laguboti for the 2024/2025 academic year is accepted and H0 is rejected.

The purpose of this study is to find out the positive and significant relationship between the personality competence of PAK teachers and the behavior of grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Laguboti for the 2024/2025 academic year. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a positive and significant relationship between the personality competence of PAK teachers and the behavior of grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Laguboti for the 2024/2025 academic year. The method used in this study is an inferential descriptive quantitative method. The population is all Christian students in grade VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Laguboti for the 2024/2025 academic year totaling 219 people and a sample of 55 people is determined, namely 25% of the population using a simple random sampling technique. Data was collected with a positive closed questionnaire of 76 items, namely 46 items for variable X and 30 items for variable Y. The results of data analysis showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between the personality competence of PAK teachers and the behavior of grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Laguboti for the 2024/2025 academic year as evidenced by the following data analysis: 1) a positive relationship test obtained a value of rxy = 0,544 > r table (=0,05,n=55) = 0,226 is in the medium category, thus it is known that there is a positive relationship between variable X and variable Y. 2) A significant relationship test obtained a thitung= 4,720 > ttabel(=0,05,dk=n-2=52)= 2,000 thus there is a significant relationship between variable X and variable Y. So Ha who said that there is a positive and significant relationship between the personality competence of PAK teachers and the behavior of grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Laguboti Year The 2024/2025 lessons are accepted.

The purpose of this study is to find out the influence of Contextual Learning on the Learning Motivation of Christian Religious Education in grade V of SD Negeri 173551 Laguboti for the 2024/2025 Academic Year. The method used in this study is a quantitative research method with the statistics of the Pre-Experimental The One Shot Case Study. The population is all grade V students of SD Negeri 173551 Laguboti which totals 54 people and a sample of 48 people is determined using the Slovin formula. Data was collected with a questionnaire of 30 items. The results of data analysis showed that there was an influence of Contextual Learning on the Learning Motivation of Christian Religious Education in grade V of SD Negeri 173551 Laguboti for the 2024/2025 Academic Year. The analysis requirements test is t table = 2.021 > t cal = 3.022 > t table = 2.021. It is known that the tcount value is in the area of rejection of H0 and acceptance of Ha, then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an influence of Contextual Learning on the Learning Motivation of Christian Religious Education in grade V of SD Negeri 173551 Laguboti for the 2024/2025.

The purpose of this study is to determine the positive and significant relationship between the PAK Teacher Personality Competition and Ethics and Student Behavior in grade V of SDN 173551 Laguboti for the 2023/2024 Academic Year. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. The population is the entire class V students of SD Negeri 173551 Laguboti which totals 54 people and this study is a population study. Data was collected with a positive closed questionnaire of 39 items, namely 19 items for variable X and 20 items for variable Y. The results of data analysis showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between teacher personality competence and the behavior of grade V students of SD Negeri 173551 Laguboti for the 2023/2024 academic year, as evidenced by the following data analysis:  1) A positive relationship test obtained a value of rxy = 0,559 > rtabel(a=0,05,n=54) = 0,226  thus it is known that there is a positive relationship between variable X and variable Y. 2) A significant relationship test obtained a value of tcal thitung= 4,856 > ttabel(a=0,05,dk=n-2=52)=2,000  thus there is a significant relationship between variable X and variable Y. Thus Ha is accepted and H0¬ which says there is no relationship is rejected.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Penguatan Guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen Terhadap Karakter Siswa Kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Laguboti Kabupaten Toba Tahun Pembelajaran 2023/2024. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan jenis deskriptif inferensial. Populasi adalah siswa/i kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Laguboti Tahun Pembelajaran 2023/2024 sebanyak 234 orang dan ditetapkan sampel sebanyak 70 orang menggunakan teknik random sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan angket tertutup sebanyak 23 item untuk variabel X dan 19 item untuk variabel Y. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan Penguatan Guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen Terhadap Karakter Siswa Kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Laguboti Kabupaten Toba Tahun Pembelajaran 2023/2024 ditunjukkan melalui: 1) Uji persyaratan analisis: a) uji hubungan yang positif diperoleh nilai rxy = 0,780 > rtabel(α=0,05; IK=95%; n=70) = 0,235. b) uji hubungan yang signifikan diperoleh dari nilai  thitung = 10,269 > ttabel = 1,980. 2) uji pengaruh: a) uji persamaan regresi, diperoleh persamaan regresi Ŷ  = 1,296  (α) + 0,0,902  (X). b) uji koefisien determinasi regresi (r2) = 60,8%. 3) uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji F diperoleh Fhitung  > Ftabel=(α=0,05,dk pembilang n-1=69, dk penyebut=n-2=70-2=68) yaitu 105,458 > 1,492. Dengan demikian H0 yang menyatakan tidak terdapat pengaruh ditolak dan Ha yang menyatakan terdapat pengaruh diterima.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Kompetensi Sosial Guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen Terhadap Tingkah Laku Siswa Kelas X di SMA Negeri 1 Laguboti Tahun Pembelajaran 2023/2024. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif deskriptif dan inferensial. Populasi adalah siswa/i  Kelas X di SMA Negeri 1 Laguboti Tahun Pembelajaran 2023/2024 sebanyak 271 orang dan ditetapkan sampel sebanyak 70 orang menggunakan teknik random sampling karena seluruh populasi memiliki karakteristik yang sama. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan angket tertutup sebanyak 19 item untuk variabel X dan 23 item untuk variabel Y. Hasil analisis data ditunjukkan melalui: 1) Uji persyaratan analisis: a) uji normalitas memperoleh nilai signifikan 0,200> 0,05 data dinyatakan berdistibusi normal. b) uji hubungan yang positif diperoleh nilai rxy = 0,583>rtabel (α=0,05; IK=95%; n=70)= 0,235. c) uji hubungan yang signifikan diperoleh dari nilai  thitung = 5,919>ttabel = 1,980. 2) uji pengaruh: a) uji persamaan regresi, diperoleh persamaan regresi Ŷ = 28,145  (α) + 0,642 (X). b) uji koefisien determinasi regresi (r2) = 34,0%. 3) uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji F diperoleh Fhitung  >Ftabel=(α=0,05,dk pembilang n-1=69, dk penyebut=n-2=70-2=68) yaitu 35,032> 1,492. Dengan demikian Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak maka hipotesa yang berbunyi terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan Kompetensi Sosial Guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen Terhadap Tingkah Laku Siswa Kelas X di SMA Negeri 1 Laguboti Tahun Pembelajaran 2023/2024 diterima.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh positif dan signifikan metode tanya jawab oleh guru PAK terhadap keaktifan belajar peserta didik Kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Laguboti Kabupaten Toba tahun pembelajaran 2023/2024. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif. Populasi adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Laguboti sebanyak 234 dan ditentukan sampel sebanyak 70 orang dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan angket tertutup positif sebanyak 60 item yaitu 30 item untuk variabel X dan 30 item untuk variabel Y. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh metode tanya jawab oleh guru PAK terhadap keaktifan belajar peserta didik Kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Laguboti Kabupaten Toba tahun pembelajaran 2023/2024, dibuktikan melalui analisa data berikut ini: 1) Uji persyaratan analisis: a) uji hubungan yang positif diperoleh nilai rxy = 0,559 > rtabel(=0,05,n=70) = 0,235. b) Uji hubungan yang signifikan diperoleh nilai thitung= 5,562 > ttabel(=0,05,dk=n-2=68)= 2,000. 2) Uji pengaruh: a) Uji persamaan regresi,   diperoleh   persamaan   regresi   ????̂ = 30,51 + 0,70X.   b)   Uji   koefisien determinasi regresi (r2) = 31,3%. 3) Uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji F diperoleh Fhitung > Ftabel=(=0,05,dk pembilang k=26, dk penyebut=n-2=70-2=68) yaitu 30,92 > 1,39. Dengan demikian Ha terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan pengaruh metode tanya jawab oleh guru PAK terhadap keaktifan belajar peserta didik kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Laguboti Kabupaten Toba tahun pembelajaran 2023/2024 diterima dan H0 ditolak.

This research analyzes the song "Runtuh" popularized by two well-known indie musicians in Indonesia, Feby Putri and Fiersa Besari. The method used to analyze this song is using the Critical Discourse Analysis method which is used as a method to explore how the trend of independent music is being loved by independent music lovers, especially teenagers who have a connection to this song so that the song "Runtuh" has a very meaningful meaning and is able to understand the situation experienced by listeners, especially teenagers. Based on the comments on the music streaming platform, it shows that this song is not only a reflection of the songwriter's personal experience, but can represent the younger generation, especially teenagers who often feel marginalized by a situation. Furthermore, this research is expected to contribute to the role of the independent music scene in Indonesia in shaping identity among young people or teenagers.

New Kawih Wanda is a kawih created by Mang Koko based on Mang Koko's understanding and ability to create a kawih with a new style at that time. In creating it because he wanted to present new works of Sundanese Karawitan, Mang Koko tried to process traditional and non-traditional musical material so that his work had breath. Baru (new color) from previously existing Sundanese karawitan. In this category, Mang Koko makes it happen through vocal and hand skills. A kawih interpreter who is quite famous in the Priangan area is Ida Rosida. One kawih interpreter who is quite popular among the people of West Java is Ida Rosida. She was born on 26 August 1954 and is the daughter of the founder of Sundanese kawih art in West Java, namely Hj Koko Koswara or known as Mang Koko. The aims of this research are: (1) to find out the Sundanese kawih singing technique in the song reumis beureum dina eurih style of Ida Rosida (2) to find out the form, meaning and structure of the presentation of the song reumis beureum dina eurih style of Ida Rosida. The method used in this research is qualitative with a descriptive analysis approach. The techniques used in this research are observation, interviews and documentation techniques. The main instrument in this research is the research itself using tools in the form of field notes and recording tools in the form of cellphones.

This research investigates the influence of Kunto Aji's song 'Rehat' on promoting mental health awareness and improving well-being. Analysis was carried out on the lyrics, melody and inclusion of the Solfeggio frequency 396 Hz in the song to understand its therapeutic impact. The findings showed that the positive statements, soothing tunes, and calm atmosphere of the song produced a highly relatable healing impact on individuals. The song's widespread popularity and incorporation into various playlists and radio stations ensures its exposure to a wide audience, thus serving as a valuable instrument for increasing awareness of mental health and reducing the associated stigma. The involvement of psychologists in the song creation process emphasizes the importance of increasing awareness about mental health and the potential of music in facilitating this awareness. This study adds to the ongoing discourse about mental health awareness and the potential of music to improve mental well-being.
