The cleanliness of the environment plays a crucial role in the welfare of the community. However, the plastic waste problem remains a serious challenge in Sungai Undan Village, Reteh District. This article examines the potential of ecobrick utilization as a solution for reducing plastic waste, focusing on the development of community-based waste management facilities. This program aims to educate the community about the importance of waste management through ecobrick methods and the creation of organic and inorganic waste bins, in order to create a cleaner and healthier environment. The results show that through ecobrick utilization and the provision of separate organic-inorganic waste bins, the community is able to contribute significantly to environmental cleanliness. Sungai Undan Village can thus serve as a model for sustainable waste management.

This study investigates the implementation of ecobricks as a strategy to reduce plastic waste in Penjalin Village. The research focused on the effectiveness of educational workshops and community involvement in promoting sustainable waste management practices. Data was collected through surveys, interviews, workshops, and observations conducted over three months. The results showed that plastic waste is a significant issue in the village, with limited awareness of proper waste disposal methods. The introduction of ecobricks, coupled with community education, resulted in increased participation and a positive shift in attitudes towards environmental sustainability. The study also found that the success of the ecobrick initiative relies heavily on continued education and community engagement. The findings suggest that similar strategies could be effective in other rural areas facing similar challenges. This research contributes to the broader discourse on sustainable waste management and highlights the potential of ecobricks as a practical solution to plastic waste problems.

The dangers of plastic waste are common and disturb both the water, land and air. Ecobricks are a creative way to reduce plastic waste by putting clean plastic waste into plastic bottles and the results will be used for human benefit. Making ecobricks is not yet popular among the wider community. This service activity will provide benefits to various parties, including the community, community service participants and the government. The targets for this service activity are Maura El-Mumtaz Elementary School students in the Tanah Seribu sub-district, Binjai City. Based on the results of community service activities that have been carried out, it can be seen that students can make seats from ecobricks. It is hoped that students will be able to express many more ideas for making ecobricks, not only making them in the form of chairs but also in other shapes. So this can be used as a business opportunity for the community

AbstractCikiwul is a village located in Bantargebang district. Where the Bantargebang location is a final waste collection site which is the main disposal site for around 6,500 tons of waste per day from all over Jakarta. Plastic bag waste is a serious enemy for environmental sustainability. The difficulty in breaking down makes plastic waste need proper handling so that it does not accumulate. One way is to do an ecobrick. Ecobrik is a plastic waste management method that is very easy for everyone to do and has a very high impact on environmental conservation. We do community service by disseminating the benefits of ecobricks, as well as providing training on how to do ecobricks together with Cikiwul residents. Training using the zoom platform, adapting to current conditions, activities are carried out by discussing and providing training videos on how to make ecobricks. It is hoped that this activity can reduce plastic waste, which its usefulness can be maximized into new objects that have useful values.
