Prosiding Seminar Nasional Ilmu Manajemen Kewirausahaan dan Bisnis 2026 Asosiasi Riset Ilmu Manajemen Kewirausahaan dan Bisnis Indonesia

This study aims to analyze the influence of terminal users’ perceptions on business development opportunities at Mangkang Type A Terminal, Semarang City, managed by the Central Java Class I Transportation Management Agency (BPTD). As a major transportation hub, the terminal functions not only as a passenger transit point but also as a strategic economic area with potential for commercial facility development. However, the utilization of business opportunities at Mangkang Terminal remains suboptimal, necessitating an evidence-based analysis of the factors that shape these opportunities. This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method involving terminal users, including passengers, public transport drivers, and terminal visitors. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed through multiple linear regression to examine the influence of user perceptions on business potential, which includes interest in facility usage, demand for additional services, and preferences for commercial space utilization. The findings indicate that perceptions related to comfort, safety, cleanliness, accessibility, and service quality significantly affect business development opportunities. Comfort and service quality emerge as the most dominant factors driving user interest in commercial facilities. These results emphasize that improving terminal service quality can serve as an effective strategy to expand business opportunities and enhance non-tax revenue.

This study analyzes the contribution of the nighttime economy to the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Pekanbaru City, particularly the culinary sector, which dominates nighttime economic activity. This research is motivated by the increasing public consumption at night, which shapes urban economic dynamics and requires effective public governance. The research method uses a qualitative approach through literature review and in-depth interviews with nighttime MSMEs to describe business conditions and governance challenges. The analysis is based on Adam Smith's Theory of Economic Growth, emphasizing capital accumulation, population growth, and technological advancement. The results show that nighttime economic activity generates high levels of consumption, which increases MSME income and enables capital accumulation for business development and product quality improvement. Urban population growth and the use of digital technology, including social media, delivery services, and digital payment systems, contribute to expanding market reach and improving business efficiency. However, MSME development in the nighttime economy remains constrained by limited access to capital, inadequate public infrastructure, and regulatory uncertainty. This study emphasizes the need for integrated local government policies.

In Indonesia, micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) have long been recognized as a very important business sector due to their various real roles in the economy. However, MSMEs often face many obstacles in running their businesses. More incentive support from various parties, especially the government, is needed for the development of MSMEs. In order to overcome the problems faced by MSMEs and support their sustainability, a KKU (Business Field Study) activity was carried out by Group 15 at the KKU-11 of the Institute of Technology and Business (ITB) Adias Pemalang at the MSME “Ev_Kids Product.”After conducting an observation phase, several problems faced by the SME were identified, including the lack of social media for marketing, failure to calculate the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and maintain simple accounting records, absence of a business logo, banners, promotional image designs, organizational structure, business profile, product catalog, stamps, receipt books, and product attributes. Additionally, the SME had never produced a production video or promotional video. After conducting the observation phase, KKU actors formulated several business development assistance programs, namely creating social media accounts, calculating the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), creating simple bookkeeping, creating a business logo, banners, promotional image designs, organizational structure, business profile, product catalog, stamps, note books, and product attributes in the form of hangtags. Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role as the backbone of Indonesia’s economy through their significant contribution to employment creation and Gross Domestic Product (GDP). However, many MSMEs continue to face structural challenges, including limited managerial capacity, low levels of innovation, and weak adaptation to digital transformation. In response to these challenges, entrepreneurship education has emerged as a strategic instrument for strengthening MSME competitiveness and sustainability. This study aims to analyze the role of entrepreneurship education as a development strategy for MSMEs in supporting Indonesia’s economic growth. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design, this research examines several MSMEs that have participated in entrepreneurship education and training programs organized by government and educational institutions. The findings reveal that entrepreneurship education contributes to strengthening entrepreneurial mindset, improving managerial and financial skills, encouraging business innovation, and enhancing digital technology adoption among MSME actors. Moreover, entrepreneurship education supports business resilience and market expansion, enabling MSMEs to adapt to dynamic economic conditions. These findings indicate that entrepreneurship education is not merely a capacity-building tool, but a strategic policy instrument for developing competitive and sustainable MSMEs. Therefore, the institutionalization of integrated and continuous entrepreneurship education is essential to optimize the role of MSMEs in fostering inclusive and sustainable economic growth in Indonesia.

This study aims to analyze the comparison of small business development strategies in improving the income of traders in traditional markets around Medan City. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach using interviews, observations, and documentation involving three traders of fruit, vegetables, and tomatoes. The results show that each trader applies different strategies depending on the characteristics of their commodities and business capacity. Fruit and tomato traders tend to implement quality sorting, price adjustments, and trust-building through honest customer service. Meanwhile, the vegetable trader relies more on traditional approaches such as giving bonuses to customers. Market facilities significantly influence the effectiveness of business strategies, where traders with proper stalls are better able to maintain income stability compared to those using temporary tents in muddy and uncomfortable areas. Seasonal factors also strongly affect income fluctuation as they determine the quality and supply of commodities. This study concludes that small business development strategies in traditional markets are shaped not only by traders’ managerial abilities but also by market infrastructure conditions and external environmental factors. It is recommended that market managers improve market facilities to support the sustainability of small traders’ businesses.

The development of digital technology has greatly influenced consumer behavior, particularly among Generation Z, who are dominant in Indonesia's hijab fashion market. This shift requires businesses to adapt their strategies to meet the dynamic, trend-driven, and digitally-savvy preferences of young consumers. This study examines the business development strategy of Leenavie.id, a hijab brand, and the challenges it faces in targeting Generation Z. Using a qualitative approach with case study methodology, in-depth interviews with business owners were conducted to gain insights into the business development process. The findings show that Leenavie.id focuses on product innovation, competitive pricing, social media as a primary distribution and promotion channel, and leveraging e-WOM for brand awareness and emotional connections with consumers.
