Game-Based Learning (GBL) has emerged as an innovative learning approach aimed at enhancing student engagement and promoting the development of critical thinking skills, particularly at the elementary school level. This study was conducted at SD Negeri Labuhan 1 using a qualitative approach and a case study method. The primary objective of this research is to analyze the implementation of GBL within the context of elementary education, focusing on students’ and teachers’ needs and interests, the strategies used for implementation, the impact of GBL on students’ critical thinking skills, and the supporting and inhibiting factors affecting its success. The findings indicate that 75% of students expressed a higher preference for game-based learning over conventional teaching methods, showing high levels of enthusiasm and participation during the learning process. GBL proved effective in increasing students' motivation to learn, strengthening collaboration, and stimulating analytical and reflective thinking. However, several challenges were encountered in the implementation of GBL, including limited technological infrastructure in schools and the lack of specialized training for teachers in designing and managing game-based learning activities effectively. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that GBL holds significant potential as a teaching strategy that can foster students’ critical thinking skills from an early age. Nevertheless, to achieve optimal outcomes, strong support from various stakeholders is essential, including the provision of adequate facilities and the enhancement of teachers’ competencies through continuous professional development and training in designing and applying GBL in daily classroom activities.

This study aims to analyze the impact of internal and external factors on low student learning outcomes in Pancasila Education subjects in elementary schools. Pancasila education plays an important role in shaping the nation's personality and teaching students their duties and rights in the context of Indonesian society. However, low learning outcomes in this subject indicate a problem that needs to be solved. This research applied the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method to synthesize, evaluate and integrate information from previous studies. The data is analyzed with a content analysis approach. This research reveals that low student learning outcomes depend on internal and external influences. The most dominant internal factor is learning motivation, where students who are less motivated tend not to be able to follow learning optimally. In addition, differences in learning styles between students also affect the way they understand the material. On the external side, the use of conventional and less interesting learning media and the limited learning facilities available are important factors that affect students' low learning outcomes. Therefore, in order to improve learning outcomes of Pancasila Education in elementary schools, it is necessary to increase learning motivation, adjust learning styles, and utilize more interesting and supportive learning media and facilities

Interest in learning is an important factor that influences learning success. This interest is influenced by internal factors, such as motivation and learning style, as well as external factors, such as parental support, facilities, and the school environment. Low interest in learning has a negative impact on student learning outcomes. Therefore, strategies are needed to improve it, such as the use of creative learning methods, active student participation, parental attention, and a conducive school environment. In addition, the hope of developing self-potential is an important aspect in the formation of adaptive and competitive characters. Its implementation involves education, training, motivation, and environmental support. Individual awareness of their strengths and weaknesses, access to resources, and guidance also play a role in self-development. A holistic approach in this process is important to realize individual potential that is beneficial to oneself and society.

The method or strategy in the learning process is something that is important to support the success of learning objectives. Some educational institutions still apply the classical learning model so that educators feel they are still in a comfortable condition in carrying out the learning process. Meanwhile, nowadays the demands of the curriculum and the development of science and technology greatly affect the learning process. Educators should use learning models that make students more creative, think critically, be active and be able to develop ideas in their own way. This of course can improve student learning outcomes. As for the results of this study, it can be concluded that the Active learning model applied at MTs Khoirotul Islamiyah, Pematangsintar City, is manifested in several components that influence each other, namely learning objectives, selection of learning methods and media that are appropriate to the content/subject matter as well as teachers and students. These components are designed so that in practice students are more active in learning. This strategy is applied to make it easy for students to know, understand, appreciate, and apply the material conveyed by the teacher in student life, so that the goals of studying economics can be realized. There are two supporting factors for the implementation of Active learning in Economics learning including; teacher professionalism, facilities and infrastructure. Meanwhile, there are two factors that hinder the realization of Active learning strategies in Economics learning, namely: the teacher's lack of preparation in planning learning scenarios and the lack of student motivation due to different backgrounds, such as the social environment, cultural environment, learning styles, economic conditions and level of intelligence.

This study aims to analyze the initial needs of learning strategies in increasing motivation and learning outcomes of Mathematics for class V Elementary School (SD). The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method with research instruments in the form of observation, questionnaires, interviews, and assessment document analysis. The data analysis technique used includes three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the initial instrument data analysis, it was found that the motivation and learning outcomes of the fifth grade students at SD Negeri Songgom 01, SD Negeri Songgom 02, SD Negeri Songgom 04 and SD Negeri Songgom 05 in learning mathematics were still low. The average value of student learning motivation is only 62 with the highest score being 82 and the lowest score being 50. While the average score of student learning outcomes is 66.7 in the low category while the highest score is 85 and the lowest score is 45. Low motivation and student learning outcomes are caused by the condition of the learning environment that is not conducive, lack of facilities and infrastructure, lack of support from parents, and the difficulty of using appropriate learning strategies in learning. This research can be used as an initial analysis of the need for appropriate learning strategies in Mathematics learning materials so that students' motivation and learning outcomes can increase.
