The findings of this study reveal that the GoFood advertisement titled “Breaking News” and the GrabFood advertisement “Hematematika” serve not only as promotional tools but also as media that shape consumer mindsets and behavior. Both advertisements strategically employ language, narrative, and structure to highlight the ideas of efficiency and modernity, which align with the demands of contemporary digital society. The GoFood advertisement presents a serious narrative that emphasizes economic issues, while GrabFood adopts a humorous approach and wordplay to establish a lighter and more entertaining connection with the audience. This analysis was conducted using a descriptive qualitative approach by examining video advertisements on YouTube, with a particular focus on persuasive language and visual representation. In this sense, advertisements are understood not merely as marketing strategies, but as communicative practices embedded with ideology. Through the messages they convey, the ads promote values of efficiency, frugality, and modernity, which ultimately influence the construction of consumer identity and behavior. The study applies Norman Fairclough’s Critical Discourse Analysis framework, which consists of textual analysis, discursive practice, and socio-cultural context. This approach allows researchers to explore how language in advertisements contributes to the construction of social reality, communicates particular perspectives, and encourages audiences to respond actively.

This study was motivated by the low ability of seventh grade students at SMP Dharma Karya UT to present descriptive texts orally, which is indicated by their lack of fluency, unclear pronunciation and intonation, and low self-confidence. This condition is aggravated by monotonous learning models that make students feel bored. One alternative to overcome this problem is the application of the Teaching at The Right Level (TaRL) learning model. This model focuses on the students’ actual ability levels so that the content and learning activities can be adjusted to their readiness to learn. This research used a quantitative method with a Randomized Demonstration Group Posttest Only Design and involved two groups: an experimental class and a control class. The sample consisted of 53 seventh grade students of SMP Dharma Karya UT. The research instrument was a test of oral descriptive text presentation skills. The results show a significant effect of applying the TaRL model on students’ ability to present descriptive texts orally. The experimental class receiving TaRL obtained an average posttest score of 47.8 out of 80, while the control class only scored 34.29 out of 80. The t-test showed tcount (2.45) > ttable (1.66) at a 5% significance level, so H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. It can therefore be concluded that the application of the TaRL model is more effective than conventional teaching in improving students’ oral presentation skills of descriptive texts.

This study discusses the symbolic meaning contained in the use of figurative language in the poetry anthology Selamat Menunaikan Ibadah Puisi by Joko Pinurbo. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a semiotic analysis method as a theoretical basis, which allows researchers to interpret the signs and symbols in the poetic texts in depth. The results of the study show that the figurative language in the poems does not only function as rhetorical decoration or mere linguistic ornamentation, but has a strong and essential symbolic function in conveying hidden messages and the poet's inner emotions. Symbols such as "storm", "refrigerator", "twilight", "window", "door", "river", and others are not only concrete images, but convey deep meanings related to inner suffering, past memories, the search for self-identity, feelings of alienation, and the search for the universal meaning of life. In addition, this study also identifies various types of figurative language used by Joko Pinurbo in the anthology, including metaphor, simile, personification, hyperbole, synecdoche, paradox, and irony. All types of figurative language are skillfully used to enrich the meaning of poetry and deepen the aesthetic experience of readers, allowing them to feel and reproduce the messages hidden behind the words. Thus, this study confirms that the use of figurative language in poetry is not only a literary technique, but also a powerful medium of expression and a means of communicating complex meanings in modern literary works. This study discusses the symbolic meaning contained in the use of figurative language in the poetry anthology Selamat Menunaikan Ibadah Puisi by Joko Pinurbo. Ikat weaving is one of the typical cultural heritage of East Nusa Tenggara, especially the Sikka area in Maumere. This traditional fabric is made through a process of weaving manually by the local community, making it unique and has high artistic value. Even though it is in the modern era, the appeal of ikat woven fabrics remains strong and has not been displaced by the development of the times. The production of this fabric is still actively ongoing and has become a symbol of regional cultural identity that is full of philosophical and aesthetic meaning. This study aims to analyze the influence of price on the purchase decision of Sikka ikat woven fabric by consumers. The research was carried out at the Alok Maumere Market in 2021 with a sample of 96 respondents, who were selected using random sampling techniques. The research method used is quantitative descriptive, with validity, reliability, normality, linearity, and heteroscedasticity testing. The result of the simple linear regression analysis shows an equation: purchase result = 17.140 + 0.603 price. The value of t is calculated (7.993) > t of the table (1.985), so that H₀ is subtracted and H₁ is accepted. This means that price has a significant effect on purchasing decisions. The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.398) shows that price explains 39.8% of the variation in the purchase decision. Thus, it can be concluded that price has a positive influence on consumers' decisions in buying Sikka ikat woven fabrics. This means that the more the price is in line with consumer expectations, the higher the buying interest in this traditional product. This research provides important input for MSME actors and local artisans to be more careful in determining competitive prices while still reflecting the quality and cultural value of the product.

This study aims to examine one of the disciplines of Islamic law, namely the pricing mechanism from the perspective of Imam Al-Ghazali, in order to create a healthy market environment free from monopolistic practices and manipulation, and aligned with Sharia principles. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using a literature study method by reviewing various relevant books, classical texts, articles, and academic journals related to Islamic economics and Imam Al-Ghazali’s thought. The findings indicate that the concept of fair pricing is not solely dependent on the interaction between supply and demand, but must also consider moral and social dimensions, such as justice, honesty, and public welfare. Imam Al-Ghazali strongly emphasized that economic transactions should uphold ethical standards and social responsibility to prevent exploitation and inequality. He argued that pricing must reflect not only market dynamics but also the broader ethical framework rooted in Islamic values. Furthermore, the study explores the concept of economic equilibrium in relation to pricing mechanisms, where prices should ideally balance individual interests with communal welfare. The research also discusses the correlation between economic balance and price-setting policies, including the views of other classical and contemporary Islamic scholars. It is found that state intervention is permissible in certain conditions—particularly when market mechanisms fail to ensure fairness—thus justifying government roles in market supervision and price stabilization. One of the key concepts in Islamic economics is the notion of a just price (al-thaman al-‘adl), as emphasized by Imam Al-Ghazali.. This study concludes that understanding pricing from Al-Ghazali’s perspective offers valuable insights for building ethical and socially responsible economic systems aligned with Islamic teachings.

This study aims to explore the integration pattern between Science and Islam in the context of the Integrated Madrasah Science Competition (KSM) for Biology at MAN 1 Wonosobo. The research specifically seeks to: (1) identify the conceptual pattern of Science–Islam integration in Biology learning, (2) examine the implementation of this integration in the KSM preparation process, and (3) analyze the factors influencing its effectiveness. This research adopts a qualitative approach, employing field research and descriptive analysis to capture a comprehensive understanding of the phenomenon. The findings reveal that the integration pattern in Biology learning within the KSM context is characterized as integrative–interconnective, where scientific concepts are interconnected with Islamic values and perspectives. Supervisory teachers with a strong background in pure Biology tend to be more active in developing discussion themes, conducting in-depth dialogues, and organizing studies that merge scientific and religious viewpoints. The effective implementation of this integration is supported by optimal utilization of learning resources, particularly Biology textbooks, as a source of pure scientific material enriched with Islamic insights. Such integration is further strengthened by collaborative discussions between teachers and students, fostering deeper understanding and critical thinking. Several factors contribute to the effectiveness of Biology KSM learning. These include the existence of a curriculum and learning materials that intentionally integrate Science and Islam, as well as the interdisciplinary competencies of teachers who not only master Biology content but also possess the ability to connect it with Islamic principles. Additionally, institutional support from all components of the madrasah—administrators, fellow teachers, and students—plays a crucial role in creating a structured, motivating, and inspiring guidance environment. In conclusion, the integration of Science and Islam in the Biology KSM at MAN 1 Wonosobo represents an effective educational model that promotes both scientific literacy and religious understanding, contributing to holistic student development in madrasah education.

Cargo pumps are very important in the unloading process, especially crude palm oil cargo on tankers. In order for the cargo unloading process to run smoothly, a strategy is needed in the use of cargo pumps. This study aims to find out the factors that cause damage to cargo pumps and the strategy of using cargo pumps so that the process of dismantling crude palm oil in MT Koan can run smoothly. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with data collection techniques through observation and interviews. The results showed that cargo pump 1 operated better than cargo pump 2, with 77% of the operating time. Damage to the cargo pump is caused by leaks in the mechanical seal and clogging of dirt. Routine maintenance on cargo pump 1 is more frequent than cargo pump 2. The cargo temperature of crude palm oil is relatively low ranging from 39-40°C and there is a decrease in temperature at one observation point which causes the texture of the cargo to become very thick, thus interfering with the performance of the cargo pump. Based on the results of data analysis of the results of observations and interviews, it can be concluded that the factors that cause damage to cargo pumps at MT Koan are lack of maintenance, low load temperature and performance differences in both cargo pumps.
