Various floods in Jayapura City in early 2025 have caused a number of losses. The problem of the impact of this flood can be solved by reducing the occurrence of flooding again, especially in the long term through the formation of children's character who care about the environment. Activities to increase environmental awareness were carried out by planting flowers focused on children studying at the Rumbel Pelita located at Kali Sunyi, Polda Bhayangkara Public Housing Complex, Buper Waena. The purpose of this community service activity was to increase children's awareness of the surrounding environment through flower planting. The problem posed was how to change children's behavior to care about the environment to prevent flooding. The solution was to increase children's awareness through flower planting at the Kali Sunyi location, Polda Bhayangkara, Buper Waena, Heram District. The method used was through counseling, question and answer sessions, and flower planting activities accompanied by their care. This care was carried out primarily during the learning process at the Rumbel that took place in the future after the community service activity. The results of this community service have been carried out by planting approximately 165 flowers at the Rumbel location, planted by 50 children.

This study discusses a student concentration detection system using Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) with the MobileNetV2 architecture. The dataset was adapted from Classroom Student Behaviors and mapped into four concentration categories: highly focused, focused, less focused, and unfocused. The system was tested with a 720p webcam and produced real-time detection data. The evaluation results show an overall accuracy of 75.85%, with the highest precision achieved in the focused class (0.9859) and the highest recall in the highly focused (0.9739) and unfocused (0.9811) classes. The confusion matrix indicates that the focused class was detected most consistently, while highly focused and unfocused classes were often misclassified as focused, resulting in lower precision. In real-time testing, the system operated at an average of 7 FPS and worked optimally when students faced the camera directly with sufficient lighting, but its performance decreased significantly at face angles greater than 45°. User evaluation shows that 75% of students rated the detection results as accurate/very accurate with an average satisfaction score of 3.6 out of 5, and 75% felt assisted in recognizing their concentration level. From the teachers’ perspective, most stated that the results were consistent with classroom observations, and all expressed willingness to reuse the system.

This study aims to explain students' learning activities in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subjects using a volcanic eruption simulation through the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model. The background of this study is the low student engagement caused by the teacher-oriented learning method, so that students tend to be passive. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of this study were fifth-grade elementary school students. The learning process was carried out through the PjBL stages, which include project planning, project implementation, and presentation of project results. In addition, this learning also contributes to improving the ability to work together, think critically, be creative, and solve problems. Contextual and experience-based learning helps students understand the material better and increases their motivation and curiosity. Thus, the PjBL model has proven effective in increasing student learning activities in science learning at the elementary school level.

Guru di sekolah dasar Tahfidz sering kali menghadapi tantangan besar dalam mengintegrasikan pengajaran Al-Qur’an dengan kemampuan pedagogik modern yang mendukung pembelajaran aktif. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik dan profesional para guru di SD Tahfidz Ibnu Umar Karawang melalui pelatihan metode pengajaran yang bermakna dan inovatif. Permasalahan utama yang ditemukan di mitra sasaran adalah keterbatasan guru dalam menerapkan pendekatan PAIKEM serta kesulitan dalam menyusun perangkat ajar yang adaptif terhadap prinsip Kurikulum Merdeka. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah kombinasi ceramah interaktif, workshop penyusunan modul/RPP, dan praktik langsung melalui sesi microteaching. Pelatihan dilaksanakan dalam tiga sesi utama: (1) pemahaman karakteristik peserta didik usia 7–12 tahun berdasarkan aspek kognitif, sosial-emosional, dan psikomotorik; (2) desain pembelajaran bermakna (meaningful learning); serta (3) strategi pembelajaran aktif seperti Problem-Based Learning (PBL), Discovery Learning, dan pembelajaran kooperatif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman 15 guru peserta dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang berpusat pada siswa (student-centered) serta kemampuan mengintegrasikan teknologi pembelajaran modern (IPTEKS) seperti Canva dan media interaktif dalam proses KBM. Luaran dari program ini mencakup modul pelatihan pedagogik, publikasi artikel ilmiah, dan video diseminasi hasil implementasi metode pembelajaran.

This study aims to analyze the use of digital learning media in improving learning outcomes and to examine the impact of social media on adolescents’ behavior in daily life in the digital era. The method used is a qualitative approach with a literature study (library research) design, conducted through the collection, review, and analysis of various relevant scholarly sources. The findings indicate that digital learning media play an important role in enhancing students’ motivation, engagement, and learning outcomes, as they are able to present material in an interactive, engaging, and easily understandable manner. On the other hand, social media has a dual impact on adolescents’ behavior. Its positive effects include ease of communication, access to information, and the development of creativity, while its negative effects include addiction, decreased learning focus, social comparison that lowers self-esteem, exposure to negative content, and the emergence of the Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) phenomenon, which can affect mental health.  Therefore, the wise use of digital media and proper supervision are necessary to support the improvement of educational quality while also fostering positive character development in adolescents.

Low student discipline, such as frequenttardiness, non-compliance with rules, and negligence in completing assignments,is an important topic that needs to be studied. This study aims to analyze the influence of parental attention and learning motivation onthe discipline of high school students. The research method usedis a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were obtained from various articles, journals, and previous studiesrelevant to the topic in the range of 2012–2025. The results of the studyshow that parental attention as an external factor, throughsupervision, guidance, and emotional support, has a positive andsignificant effect on the formation of student discipline. On the other hand, learning motivationas an internal factor, both intrinsic in the form of motivation to achieve andperseverance, as well as extrinsic in the form of rewards and environmental support,has been proven to encourage students to be orderly, consistent, and responsible intheir studies. These findings confirm that the synergy between parental attention andlearning motivation contributes greatly to shaping student discipline, whichultimately has a positive impact on improving academic achievement andcreating an orderly and conducive school climate.

This research aims to analyze the influence of education, ship machinery practice training, and learning motivation on the technical competence of Naval Academy (AAL) Corps of Engineers cadets. The research uses a quantitative approach with a causal survey design. The research sample consisted of 124 cadets selected using the proportionate stratified random sampling technique. Data collection was carried out thru questionnaires, observations, and documentation. Data analysis used multiple linear regression. The research results show that education, ship engine practice training, and learning motivation, both partially and simultaneously, have a positive and significant impact on the technical competence of cadets. Ship machinery practice training is the variable that has the most dominant influence on technical competence. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.591 indicates that 59.1% of the variation in technical competence can be explained by these three variables, while the remaining portion is influenced by other factors outside the scope of the study. The research results emphasize the importance of optimizing education, improving the quality of practical training, and strengthening learning motivation to enhance the technical competence of AAL Cadets in the Technical Corps.

Educational achievement at the senior high school level relies heavily upon student engagement, where the instructor serves as a pivotal variable in the pedagogical process. The phenomenon of diminished academic interest represents a significant hurdle, necessitating a profound understanding of how educators contribute to igniting active participation. This inquiry aims to examine and map the teacher's function in fostering a passion for learning among adolescents, while simultaneously uncovering the instructional tactics employed to spark such enthusiasm. The investigation adopts a literature review method with a qualitative descriptive-analytical lens, evaluating ten research articles published between 2020 and 2025 centered on teaching roles and student motivation. Findings demonstrate that the teacher’s influence in elevating student interest is holistic and multidimensional. This encompasses social competence through empathetic interaction, professional teaching performance in instructional design and evaluation, and personal integrity as an inspirational figure. Furthermore, the mastery of pedagogical and technological elements proves essential in cultivating a conducive, distinctive, and meaningful classroom environment for every learner.

Pengabdian masyarakat merupakan salah satu bentuk implementasi Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi yang bertujuan memberikan kontribusi nyata kepada masyarakat, khususnya dalam bidang pendidikan. Penelitian ini membahas program UKPI Pengajaran yang dilaksanakan oleh UKPI UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya sebagai bentuk pengabdian masyarakat berbasis pendidikan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan, dampak, dan luaran dari program UKPI Pengajaran terhadap mahasiswa maupun siswa yang terlibat dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program UKPI Pengajaran memberikan dampak positif terhadap siswa dalam meningkatkan motivasi, semangat belajar, kedisiplinan, serta keaktifan selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Selain itu, program ini juga memberikan pengalaman dan wawasan kepada mahasiswa dalam bidang komunikasi, pengajaran, kepemimpinan, kerja sama tim, dan kepedulian sosial terhadap masyarakat sekitar. Kehadiran siswa dalam kegiatan pengajaran mampu menciptakan suasana belajar yang lebih interaktif, kreatif, dan menyenangkan bagi siswa. Program UKPI Pengajaran merupakan bentuk implementasi pengabdian masyarakat yang tidak hanya membantu proses pendidikan di sekolah, tetapi juga mengembangkan kemampuan intelektual, sosial, dan karakter siswa maupun siswa secara berkelanjutan sehingga memberikan manfaat positif bagi dunia pendidikan dan masyarakat lingkungan.

Embroidery learning in fashion design education requires technical mastery, creativity, perseverance, collaboration, and the ability to produce aesthetically valuable products. However, student motivation often decreases when practical learning is dominated by lecturer explanation and imitation of examples. This study aims to determine the effect of Team-based Projects in embroidery learning on student learning motivation. A quantitative approach was employed using a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design. The sample consisted of 60 students divided into an experimental class and a control class. The experimental class received team-based project learning, while the control class followed conventional individual practice. Data were collected using a learning motivation questionnaire based on intrinsic motivation, extrinsic motivation, and amotivation. The data were analyzed through normality tests, homogeneity tests, paired sample t-tests, independent sample t-tests, and simple linear regression. The findings showed that the experimental class’s motivation score increased from 67.83 to 82.37 after the treatment. The independent sample t-test revealed a significant difference between the experimental and control classes, with a p-value < 0.001. Regression analysis also confirmed that Team-based Projects positively affected student learning motivation. These results indicate that team based embroidery projects create more meaningful, collaborative, and challenging learning experiences.

This study aims to analyze the role of teachers’ personality competence in shaping students’ learning environments through a literature review approach. Personality competence reflects teachers’ stable, mature, and authoritative character, enabling them to serve as role models for students and influencing the creation of a conducive learning environment both psychologically and socially. The method used is a literature review by analyzing various sources such as books, academic journals, and relevant official documents. The results show that teachers with positive personality traits are able to build harmonious relationships, create a comfortable classroom atmosphere, and enhance students’ learning motivation. Therefore, teachers’ personality competence is an important factor in supporting the quality of the learning environment and the success of the learning process. In addition, findings from various studies indicate that personality competence not only affects classroom interactions but also contributes to the development of students’ attitudes, discipline, and emotional stability. Teachers who demonstrate consistency, empathy, and integrity tend to foster a sense of trust and respect among students, which further strengthens classroom engagement. Moreover, a positive teacher personality helps reduce learning barriers such as anxiety, lack of confidence, and lack of participation in classroom activities. In the context of modern education, where student-centered learning is increasingly emphasized, teachers’ personality competence becomes even more essential in facilitating active learning and meaningful student involvement. Thus, strengthening teachers’ personality competence through training, reflective practice, and continuous professional development is crucial to improving overall educational quality and achieving optimal learning outcomes.

Rapid developments in digital technology have had a significant impact on students’ lives, particularly in the use of social media and excessive consumption of digital content. The phenomenon known as Brain rot has become a growing concern because it can affect students’ concentration, learning motivation, and quality of thinking. This study aims to provide education regarding the impact of brain rot on students’ concentration and learning motivation in the digital era. The activities were carried out through counseling methods, interactive discussions, and mentoring for junior high school students. The materials presented included the definition of brain rot, the effects of excessive digital media use, the importance of learning time management, and strategies to improve learning focus. The results of the activity showed that students gained a better understanding of the negative impacts of uncontrolled digital media use. In addition, students began to realize the importance of limiting gadget use and increasing productive learning activities. This educational program also helped raise students’ awareness of the importance of maintaining mental health and cognitive abilities amid the rapid development of digital technology. Through this educational activity, students are expected to use technology wisely so that their concentration and learning motivation can improve optimally. Educational programs regarding brain rot need to be carried out continuously as part of strengthening digital literacy within the school environment.

Bullying di lingkungan sekolah merupakan permasalahan yang berdampak pada kesehatan mental dan perkembangan psikososial anak. Tingginya kejadian bullying, baik secara fisik, verbal, maupun digital, menyebabkan siswa merasa tidak aman, mengalami kecemasan, serta penurunan interaksi sosial dan prestasi belajar. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran siswa mengenai bahaya bullying serta upaya pencegahannya. Metode  pengabdian  yang  dilakukan  berupa  pemberian  penyuluhan  kesehatan menggunakan participatory  action  research (PAR)  dengan  tema “Edukasi Kesehatan Tentang Bullying Pada Anak: “Berani Baik, Bukan Berani Membuli“. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman siswa tentang bentuk, dampak, dan cara mencegah bullying, serta meningkatnya sikap empati dan keberanian untuk melaporkan kejadian bullying. Selain itu, siswa menjadi lebih mampu mengenali perilaku bullying dan berpartisipasi dalam menciptakan lingkungan sekolah yang aman. Kesimpulannya, kegiatan edukasi melalui pengabdian masyarakat efektif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran dan pengetahuan siswa terkait bullying, sehingga perlu dilakukan secara berkelanjutan sebagai upaya promotif dan preventif dalam menjaga kesehatan mental anak.

Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan merupakan suatu program pendidikan yang bertujuan untuk mengajarkan prinsip-prinsip pragmatis dan prosedural yang berusaha untuk mengembangkan sifat kemanusiaan, budaya, serta memberikan kekuatan kepada individu, hususnya siswa, agar mereka dapat menjadi warga negara yang baik sesuai dengan tuntutan yang diakui secara moral dan konstitusional oleh  negara. Pada pembelajaran kewarganegaraan ada tiga yang menjadi dasar dalam pembelajaran yang salah satunya adalah mengembangkan kecerdasan warga negara, membina tanggung jawab warga negara, serta mendorong partisipasi warga negara dalam kehidupan berbangsa dan bernegara. Permasalahan Prioritas yang dihadapi adalah di SD Negeri 095207 Sorba Tonduhan, yaitu keterbatasan pembelajaran berbasisi proyek, tidak tersedianya fasilitas pendukung seperti computer yang ada di lingkungan sekolah tersebut. Kompetensi Guru dalam Pengelolaan Pembelajaran kurang Kreatif: Kompetensi pedagogik guru dalam merancang pembelajaran yang interaktif dan berbasis konteks lokal masih terbatas. Penggunaan metode pembelajaran tradisional cenderung mendominasi, sehingga kurang menarik bagi siswa. Solusi yang diberikan adalah berupa pembelajaran proyek penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek, Dimana pembelajaran berbasis proyek melibatkan antara guru dengan siswa. Guru berperan aktif dalam memotivasi siswa dan meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Guru mempunyai masukan dan kreativitas yang besar serta dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar untuk membantu siswa mencapai hasil belajar yang baik, (Magdalena et al., 2024). Menurut (Norhikmah et al., 2022), Model pembelajaran berbasis proyek menuntut siswa untuk membuat proyek yang berkaitan dengan mata pelajaran terkait. Proyek pada pembelajaran ini dibangun berdasar ide-ide para siswa yang berasal dari keresahan permasalahan riil, sehingga peserta didik terjun secara langsung dalam memecahkan masalah.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how Islamic Religious Education (PAI) instructors at Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah (MDT) Nurhidayatullah perceive incentive strategies as boosting student learning motivation. The poor learning motivation of students at non-formal Islamic educational institutions serves as the study's backdrop. Teachers must use a variety of tactics, including rewarding students. In this study, descriptive approaches are combined with a qualitative approach. Participant observation, documentation studies, and in-depth interviews were used to gather data. Purposive sampling was used to choose five PAI instructors from MDT Nurhidayatullah to serve as study informants. The Miles and Huberman approach, which covers data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions/verification, was used to analyze the data. The study's conclusions showed that instructors see incentive systems favorably and believe they are a useful tactic for boosting students' interest in and engagement with PAI learning. Verbal compliments, award stickers, extra credits, little presents, and public acknowledgment in front of the class are some of the prizes that are offered. Teachers believe that rewarding children may boost their intrinsic motivation, boost their self-esteem, improve the classroom environment, and promote healthy competition among students. However, teachers also identify several challenges, including the potential for students to become dependent on rewards, the need for fairness in reward distribution, and budget limitations. The implication of this research suggests that the reward method should be implemented systematically with clear criteria and gradually directed toward building students' intrinsic motivation in learning Islamic religious education.

Tujuan pelaksanaan kegiatan ini adalah membantu guru menguasai teknologi dan media pembelajaran berbasis digital, khususnya Canva, untuk menciptakan media animasi yang menarik, interaktif, dan relevan dengan kebutuhan siswa; mendorong integrasi teknologi dalam pembelajaran, sehingga proses belajar mengajar menjadi lebih inovatif dan sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman. Pelaksanaan sosialisasi ini mendukung implementasi program MBKM dan IKU terutama pada aspek Kolaborasi Perguruan Tinggi dengan Masyarakat artinya mempertemukan mahasiswa, dosen, dan masyarakat (guru) dalam kegiatan yang saling memberdayakan, seperti sosialisasi pembuatan media animasi, serta Mahasiswa dapat terlibat aktif dalam pengembangan pendidikan di SD Negeri 096140 Parhundalian. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan sosialisasi pembuatan media animasi menggunakan Canva adalah metode partisipatif, yang melibatkan guru secara aktif melalui pelatihan. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam kegiatan sosialisasi ini yaitu peserta mendapatkan tambahan pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang Media Pembelajaran animasi menggunakan canva dalam meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik, peserta juga antusias selama kegiatan dan langsung menerapkan media pembelajaran simulasi untuk mata pelajaran yang diampu.

Pembelajaran di Sekolah Dasar saat ini masih didominasi metode konvensional berpusat pada guru yang kurang mengaitkan materi dengan kehidupan nyata. Kondisi ini menyebabkan rendahnya keterlibatan aktif dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa sebagai kompetensi abad ke-21. Selain itu, mitra guru menghadapi kendala berupa keterbatasan pemahaman terhadap konsep Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL), kurangnya variasi strategi, serta ketiadaan perangkat pembelajaran sistematis. Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan mensosialisasikan model CTL guna meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa dan kompetensi guru dalam mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran inovatif. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi koordinasi analisis kebutuhan, sosialisasi konsep, pendampingan penyusunan Modul Ajar, praktik simulasi kelas, serta evaluasi bersama pihak sekolah. Target luaran meliputi peningkatan pemahaman guru, tersedianya Modul Ajar berbasis CTL yang aplikatif, dan publikasi artikel ilmiah pada jurnal pengabdian masyarakat. Sosialisasi model CTL menjadi solusi strategis dalam meningkatkan kapasitas profesional guru untuk menciptakan suasana belajar yang bermakna. Implementasi CTL diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan dasar dan menstimulasi potensi berpikir kreatif siswa secara optimal guna menghadapi tantangan perkembangan zaman. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif signifikan bagi pengembangan kompetensi pendidik dan peserta didik di sekolah dasar mitra secara luas serta berkelanjutan melalui integrasi kolaborasi akademik yang kuat.

This study aimed to determine the relationship between parental involvement and mathematics learning achievement of fourth-grade students at SD Inpres 18 Sorong Regency. The research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The research subjects consisted of all fourth-grade students from classes IV A and IV B, totaling 66 students. Data on parental involvement were collected using a questionnaire, while students’ mathematics achievement data were obtained from documentation of end-of-semester promotion examination scores. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive and inferential statistics. The prerequisite tests included the Kolmogorov–Smirnov normality test with a Monte Carlo approach and a linearity test. Hypothesis testing was carried out using Pearson Product Moment correlation with the assistance of SPSS software. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between parental involvement and students’ mathematics achievement, with a correlation coefficient of r = 0.637 and a significance value of p = 0.000 (p < 0.05). This correlation is categorized as strong. The findings indicate that higher levels of parental involvement in guiding, supervising, and providing emotional support are associated with higher mathematics learning achievement among students. Therefore, parental involvement plays an important role in supporting the mathematics learning success of elementary school students.

The use of social media can have both positive and negative impacts on children. Proper use can enhance insight, knowledge, and increase learning motivation. However, excessive use can disrupt study time, reduce awareness of the importance of learning, and result in low learning motivation. To determine the relationship between the duration of social media use and the learning motivation of school-aged children at SDN Gisikdrono 03, Semarang City. This study uses a quantitative method with probability sampling technique, specifically stratified random sampling. The sample in this study consisted of 122 respondents. The instrument in the study used a questionnaire on the duration of social media use and learning motivation. Data analysis used the Spearman rank test. There is a relationship between the duration of social media use and the learning motivation of school-aged children at SDN Gisikdrono 03 Semarang City, with a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05, leading to the rejection of H0 and acceptance of Ha, with a correlation value of -0.636, which falls into the strong category with a negative duration, indicating an inverse relationship. This means that the longer the duration of social media use, the lower the learning motivation. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between the duration of social media use and learning motivation, where the longer the duration of social media use, the lower the learning motivation.

Irregular sleep patterns are a common issue experienced by university students and are often considered a normal part of academic life. However, such conditions can have negative effects on students’ learning concentration and cognitive function. Poor sleep patterns are generally influenced by various factors, including high academic workload, habitual late-night activities, poor time management, and excessive use of electronic devices at night. This study aims to examine the relationship between sleep patterns and students’ learning concentration, identify factors contributing to irregular sleep patterns, and analyze constraints as well as propose solutions to improve sleep quality in order to enhance learning concentration. The method used in this scientific paper is a literature review, which involves examining relevant scientific sources such as research journals and academic literature related to sleep patterns and students’ learning concentration. The results of the review indicate that students with poor sleep patterns tend to experience physical fatigue, decreased immune function, cognitive impairment, and difficulties in maintaining focus and concentration during the learning process. In the long term, these conditions have the potential to reduce academic achievement and learning motivation. Therefore, it can be concluded that effective time management, limiting the use of electronic devices before bedtime, creating a conducive sleep environment, and support from universities through health education play an important role in improving students’ sleep patterns. With regular and high-quality sleep, students’ learning concentration is expected to improve, allowing the learning process and academic achievement to proceed optimally.
