The management of material and labor costs at Gregors Barbershop is still manual and not formally structured, resulting in wastage of consumable materials, suboptimal labor utilization, and difficulties in determining service prices that align with the expected profit margins. Material costs, such as hair gel, tissues, disposable razors, and alcohol/disinfectants, are not recorded systematically, leading to frequent mismatches between stock and actual needs, while labor costs are calculated improvisationally without considering productivity and service targets. This activity aims to improve the ability of owners and employees to plan, control, and evaluate operational costs systematically, ensuring efficiency, resource optimization, and business profitability. The method uses an applied, hands-on approach, including the identification of partner needs, preparation of relevant training modules, direct operational mentoring, and evaluation with follow-up. The object of the activity is Gregors Barbershop in Batu Aji District, Batam City, which offers services such as modern men’s haircuts, classic shaves, shaving, hair treatments, and the sale of grooming products like pomade and hair oil. The results show increased efficiency in the use of consumable materials, more productive labor management, more systematic cost planning, and the ability to set service prices in line with costs and profit margins. It is recommended to implement a digital recording system and productivity-based incentives to ensure more accurate cost control, more efficient operations, and sustainable business profitability.

This study aims to map the direction of criminal punishment policy formulated in criminal law provisions, test claims of humanizing punishment through sanction design and the principle of individualization, and describe forms of repression that operate through normative flexibility, law enforcement discretion, and morally nuanced criminalization. The research method used is normative legal research, utilizing both a legislative and conceptual approach to analyze the norms, principles, and objectives of punishment. The results show that Article 51 articulates the objectives of punishment, including the rehabilitation of offenders, community protection, and the restoration of social balance. However, this provision functions primarily as normative legitimacy for a flexible sanction architecture. The existence of alternative punishments and oversight mechanisms refines the form of punishment while expanding state intervention into the social life of offenders. Furthermore, the regulation of conditional sentences and adjustments to the implementation of sanctions increase the discretion of law enforcement officials. Repression does not disappear, but rather shifts through regulations on morality, public order, recognition of living law, and the threat of symbolic punishment, shifting the relationship between the state and individuals toward ongoing administrative control.

This study aims to assess the financial performance of the Sukoharjo Regency Government during the 2023-2024 period by employing cash flow statements as the primary analytical tool. Cash flow statements are considered essential as they provide a clear picture of liquidity conditions and the actual capacity of local governments to manage cash inflows and outflows. This research applies a descriptive quantitative approach using secondary data obtained from audited Budget Realization Reports and Cash Flow Statements. Financial performance is evaluated through revenue effectiveness ratios and expenditure efficiency ratios as key indicators of fiscal management. The results indicate that regional revenue realization consistently exceeded the established targets throughout the study period, placing revenue performance in the very effective category. This finding reflects the local government’s ability to maximize revenue potential during the post-pandemic economic recovery phase. However, the analysis of expenditure efficiency reveals that spending management has not yet reached an optimal level, as expenditure realization remained close to the allocated budget limits. These findings demonstrate that strong revenue performance does not necessarily correspond with efficient expenditure control. Consequently, local government financial performance should be evaluated comprehensively by integrating both revenue effectiveness and expenditure efficiency perspectives. This study contributes empirically to public sector accounting literature and offers practical insights for policymakers to strengthen budget control mechanisms and promote sustainable financial management at the regional level.

Land sale and purchase agreements are legal acts frequently carried out in social practice. However, such agreements are often executed under hand without the involvement of authorized officials as required under land law. The practice of under-hand land sale and purchase gives rise to various legal issues, particularly concerning the validity of the agreement, the transfer of land rights, and legal protection for the parties in the event of disputes. This article aims to analyze the legal status of under-hand land sale and purchase agreements from the perspectives of civil law and land law, examine the legal consequences arising from such agreements on the transfer of land rights, and review the forms of legal protection available to the parties. The research method employed is normative juridical, using statutory and conceptual approaches. The findings indicate that under-hand land sale and purchase agreements may be considered valid under civil law as long as they fulfill the legal requirements of a valid agreement; however, they do not automatically result in the transfer of land rights under land law. Consequently, the legal position of the buyer becomes weak in the event of a dispute. Therefore, public legal awareness and the role of the state in strengthening dissemination and enforcement of land law are necessary to ensure legal certainty and protection.

Digital transformation in the land sector is part of the state’s efforts to enhance efficiency, transparency, and legal certainty within the land registration system. One of the strategic policies implemented is the issuance of electronic land certificates as a substitute for conventional certificates. However, the implementation of electronic land certificates raises several legal issues, particularly concerning their evidentiary value and the guarantee of legal certainty for holders of land rights. This article aims to analyze the legal regulation of electronic land certificates within Indonesia’s land registration system, examine their evidentiary strength in civil disputes, and identify the legal and technical challenges in their implementation. The research employs a normative juridical method using statutory and conceptual approaches. The findings indicate that electronic land certificates have a valid legal basis and possess evidentiary strength equivalent to that of conventional certificates, provided that the principles of validity and security of electronic systems are fulfilled. Nevertheless, their implementation still faces challenges related to technological infrastructure readiness, public legal literacy, and potential vulnerability to cybercrime. Therefore, strengthening technical regulations, enhancing system security, and conducting continuous public dissemination are necessary to ensure legal certainty for holders of electronic land certificates.

Learning Al-Qur’an and Hadith in secondary schools is still largely influenced by traditional assessment practices that prioritize written examinations and memorization, which are insufficient to capture students’ actual competencies. This situation often leads to less meaningful learning and limits the development of students’ deep understanding and Islamic character. In essence, Al-Qur’an and Hadith education is intended not only to ensure mastery of theoretical content but also to encourage the internalization and application of Islamic values in everyday life. For this reason, authentic assessment is viewed as a suitable approach because it evaluates learning outcomes in a more comprehensive manner, covering cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. This study aims to analyze the implementation of authentic assessment in Al-Qur’an and Hadith learning at the secondary school level and to examine its effectiveness in improving students’ understanding and learning engagement. The research employed a quantitative method, with data collected through a Google Form questionnaire distributed to students and analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results demonstrate that authentic assessment contributes to deeper conceptual understanding, enhances practical skills such as proper Qur’anic recitation based on tajwid rules and hadith memorization, and promotes active, confident, and responsible learning attitudes. Overall, authentic assessment provides more meaningful learning experiences and represents an effective alternative assessment strategy to improve the quality of Al-Qur’an and Hadith learning in secondary schools.

The development of Islamic Religious Education in Banjar Land represents a long historical process marked by social, political, and religious transformations. Since the era of traditional da‘wah conducted by ulama through halaqah, surau-based instruction, and religious study circles (majelis taklim), the Islamic education system in this region has continuously evolved, eventually giving rise to formal educational institutions such as madrasahs and Islamic-based schools. This study aims to chronologically describe these historical dynamics, examine the factors influencing educational change, and analyze the roles of ulama, the Banjar Sultanate, and community institutions in the transformation of Islamic education. The research employs a qualitative method with a historical approach, involving the stages of heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. Data were collected from scholarly literature, local manuscripts, and the works of Banjar ulama. The findings indicate that the transformation of Islamic education in Banjar Land, from the period of Islamization to the emergence of madrasahs and Islamic Religious Education in public schools, occurred through at least three major phases: (1) family- and community-based traditional da‘wah through langgar (prayer houses) and halaqah institutions; (2) the establishment of modern madrasahs in the twentieth century as a response to colonialism and modernity; and (3) the integration of Islamic education into the formal national education system in the post-independence era. This study affirms that Islamic education in Banjar Land possesses distinctive characteristics, is adaptive in nature, and is deeply rooted in local culture.

Video steganography faces fundamental challenges in balancing embedding capacity, imperceptibility, and robustness, where conventional Least Significant Bit (LSB) methods often produce visual artifacts such as flickering. To address this, this research proposes an advanced method named Adaptive Multi-layer LSB, which dynamically adjusts the number of embedded bits in each pixel based on a multi-factor analysis of the video's spatial and temporal characteristics. This adaptation mechanism is evaluated through three primary criteria: brightness level, local texture complexity, and inter-frame motion stability. Quantitative evaluation using Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR), Structural Similarity Index (SSIM), and Frame Difference Stability Index (FDSI) metrics demonstrates that the proposed method achieves high visual quality, with an average PSNR of 42.15 dB and SSIM of 0.985. These results significantly outperform the non-adaptive approach, which only recorded a PSNR of 38.5 dB. More importantly, the FDSI value of this method (1.25) is much lower compared to the non-adaptive approach (3.40), demonstrating its superiority in maintaining temporal stability. Thus, this approach provides a significant contribution to enhancing security and quality in video steganography practices. Vitro Fertilization (IVF) technology is a biotechnological innovation that helps infertile couples conceive. However, the application of this technology has raised ethical debates regarding the nature of life, human dignity, and the moral boundaries of artificial reproduction. This article aims to examine the practice of IVF through an ethical deontology perspective, a moral approach that emphasizes obligations, principles, and respect for human beings as ends, not means. The research method used is a literature review with a descriptive-analytical approach to bioethics and moral philosophy literature. The results of the study indicate that based on deontological ethics, the application of IVF can be considered moral if it respects human dignity, does not treat embryos as mere objects, and is carried out with intentions that are in accordance with human moral obligations.

Steganography is a method to hide confidential messages in digital media so that they are not detected by unauthorized parties. Unlike cryptography which protects the content of messages through encryption, steganography hides the message itself. One popular technique is the Least Significant Bit (LSB), which replaces the least important bit on the pixel with a secret message bit. However, conventional LSB methods such as 1-bit or 3-bit have limitations due to the compromise between insertion capacity and visual quality of the media. This study proposes an LSB-based video steganography method with an adaptive multi-bit embedding approach. This technique determines the number and position of bits that are dynamically inserted based on the local brightness and texture levels of each video frame, with Laplacian operators used to analyze both high and low textured areas. The process includes frame and audio extraction, frame-by-frame embedding, inserted video reconstruction, and decoding using video cover references. The evaluation was carried out quantitatively using the Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) and Structural Similarity Index (SSIM) metrics, as well as qualitatively through visual comparison. The results showed that the adaptive multi-bit method was able to maintain visual quality with a PSNR of 45.23 dB and SSIM of 0.9424, and increased the insertion capacity by up to 2–3 times compared to the 1-bit adaptive method. Thus, this approach effectively balances imperceptibility and insertion capacity on dynamic video steganography systems.

This study aims to analyze how the integration of traditional knowledge and digital knowledge shapes organizational strategies in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in responding to an increasingly competitive business environment. A quantitative approach was employed by applying variance-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using SmartPLS 3 software to 100 MSME respondents. The research model was developed by incorporating three main latent constructs, namely digital knowledge, traditional knowledge, and organizational strategy, which were measured using several indicators relevant to the MSME context. The analysis results indicate that all research instruments meet good reliability and validity criteria, with outer loading values ranging from 0.719 to 0.902, Average Variance Extracted (AVE) values above 0.64, and composite reliability exceeding 0.87. Structural model testing reveals that digital knowledge has a strong and significant effect on organizational strategy (β = 0.799), while traditional knowledge shows a very small effect (β = 0.024). The research model explains 66.4% of the variance in organizational strategy. These findings confirm that digital transformation is the primary factor in shaping competitive strategies among MSMEs, while traditional knowledge continues to serve as a foundation for local context and cultural values. Therefore, the implementation of a hybrid management approach is considered effective in assisting MSMEs in formulating more adaptive, innovative, and sustainable strategies.
