Guidance and counseling constitute a crucial element in the educational structure of elementary schools, functioning to support students’ holistic development, including academic, social, emotional, and personal aspects. As students at this level are in the early stages of development, they require systematic guidance to actively adapt to the school educational context while optimizing the development of their potential to an optimal level. This study aims to examine the variety of guidance and counseling services in elementary schools and their role in addressing students’ problems through a literature review of relevant scientific sources, including national and international journals as well as reference books published after 2020. The results indicate that the implementation of guidance and counseling at the elementary school level encompasses various forms of services, such as orientation to the school environment, information services, placement and referral guidance, group guidance activities, individual and group counseling services, consultation, and mediation efforts. These services contribute to helping students overcome learning difficulties, behavioral problems, social adjustment issues, and personality development. However, their implementation still faces several challenges, including a shortage of professional personnel and teachers’ limited understanding of guidance and counseling. Therefore, it is essential to strengthen guidance and counseling programs in elementary schools in a well-planned and sustainable manner.

Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) is one of the most common health problems among elementary school-aged children and contributes to a high morbidity rate. One of the contributing factors to ARI is the low implementation of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (CHLB) as an early preventive measure. This community service activity was conducted at State Elementary School 18 Dewantara, Aceh Utara District, targeting 10 fifth-grade students. The method used in this activity was health education through interactive lectures and discussions, accompanied by a pre-test and post-test evaluation using questionnaires. The materials provided included the definition of ARI, risk factors, and the implementation of CHLB such as proper handwashing, personal hygiene maintenance, and correct coughing and sneezing etiquette. The results showed an increase in students’ knowledge after the educational session, with the average score rising from 78% to 88%, indicating an improvement of 10%. This demonstrates that the educational method used was effective in improving students’ understanding of ARI prevention. This activity is expected to foster clean and healthy habits among elementary school students and support promotive and preventive health efforts in the school environment.

In the era of information and globalization, critical thinking skills have become an essential competence for children, including students in Islamic boarding schools. These skills include the ability to ask questions, seek and evaluate evidence, compare alternatives, and solve problems logically. Islamic boarding schools inherently provide a disciplined environment grounded in religious values that supports the development of critical thinking. However, observations at Raudlatul Hanan Islamic Boarding School reveal several challenges, such as low social sensitivity, limited constructive conflict resolution, and the absence of consistent critical thinking habits. These conditions have the potential to hinder students’ adaptability and problem-solving abilities in the future. To address these issues, a program entitled “Optimizing Children’s Critical Thinking Character through the Internalization of Socio-Environmental Sensitivity Values” was implemented using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach. This approach actively involved students, ustadz/ustadzah, and Islamic boarding school administrators from problem identification through planning, implementation, and reflection. The activities included character education seminars, critical discussions, group competitions, and interviews aimed at fostering social sensitivity, reducing exclusive attitudes, and strengthening critical thinking skills from an early age. The results indicate high and enthusiastic student participation throughout all activities, leading both students and administrators to hope that the program will be implemented sustainably on an annual basis.

Project scheduling is an important element for shipyard companies to gain more profit. The most frequently used analysis is the Critical Path Method (CPM). However, in reality, planning using the CPM method is considered less efficient because it does not consider the productivity of each job in it and adds safety time which causes the project duration to become longer. In accordance with the above problems, a new method for planning project schedules is now being developed, namely Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM). CCPM is a project planning method that emphasizes the resources needed to carry out existing tasks in the project. This method is carried out by eliminating multitasking, student syndrome, Parkinson's law and providing a buffer at the end of the project. In this final project, a comparison of the duration of the results of applying the CCPM method with the Critical Path Method (CPM) method is carried out in a case study of ship repairs at PT. Galangan Kapal Madura. The initial project scheduling uses the traditional method in the form of a Gantt chart which is then broken down in more detail and completely with the relationship between activities in the form of CPM, and then will be compared with the duration of the results of CCPM scheduling which has eliminated multitasking, eliminated Safety time for each activity and provided a buffer in the work.

According to Al-Ghazali, Islamic education is education that strives to form a perfect human being, both in this world and in the hereafter. According to Al Ghazali, humans can achieve perfection if they are willing to strive to seek knowledge and then practice fadhilah through the knowledge they have learned. According to Al Ghazali, the main goal of Islamic education is to obey Allah the Creator, and the most perfect human being in his view is a human being who always draws closer to Allah. This goal seems to have religious and moral nuances, without ignoring worldly problems. The method used to classify al-Ghazali into two parts: First, the special method of Religious education, this special method of religious education has an orientation towards knowledge of faith because religious education in reality is more difficult than other education, because religious education involves intuitive problems and focuses more on the formation of students' personalities. Second, the special method of moral education, Al-Ghazali said: "Just as a doctor, if he gives his patients only one kind of medicine, will surely kill most of the sick people, so too a teacher, if he shows his students the way with only one kind of practice, will surely destroy their hearts.

The rapid growth of internet access and digital device usage in Indonesia has made gadgets an inseparable part of students’ daily lives. While smartphones facilitate communication and access to information, excessive use—particularly before bedtime—has been associated with poor sleep quality. This quantitative correlational study aimed to identify the relationship between gadget use before sleep and sleep quality among students of SMK Yapim Sibiru-biru. A total of 110 students were selected purposively and asked to complete a structured questionnaire measuring gadget use duration, activity type, use of “Night Mode,” and various aspects of sleep quality. Data were analyzed using descriptive and Pearson correlation tests at a 0.05 significance level. Results showed that 87.5% of students used gadgets before sleep, with smartphones being the most common device. The majority (46.88%) reported using gadgets for 1–2 hours before bed, primarily for social media and entertainment. Most respondents slept between 10:00 p.m. and midnight, with an average sleep duration of 4–6 hours, lower than the recommended 7–9 hours. Statistical analysis revealed a significant negative correlation between gadget use duration and sleep quality—longer use was associated with poorer sleep. Additionally, low awareness of blue light filtering features exacerbated sleep problems such as insomnia and fatigue. These findings highlight the importance of behavioral interventions and sleep hygiene education to mitigate the adverse effects of nighttime gadget use. Recommended strategies include limiting screen time one hour before sleep, enabling “Night Mode,” and engaging in relaxing pre-sleep activities to promote better sleep quality and overall well-being

Early marriage is a social phenomenon that still frequently occurs in Indonesia and gives rise to various problems, both from the perspective of state law and socio-religious aspects. From the standpoint of state regulations, early marriage is considered a violation of statutory provisions, particularly the Marriage Law, which stipulates a minimum legal age for marriage in order to protect children's rights. This practice results in various negative impacts, including increased health risks for mothers and children, disruption of educational attainment, economic instability within families, as well as high rates of divorce and domestic violence. From the perspective of Islamic law, early marriage is not absolutely prohibited; however, Islam strongly emphasizes the principles of public welfare (maṣlaḥah), physical and mental readiness, and responsibility in establishing a household. Therefore, Islamic legal solutions to early marriage as a violation of state regulations can be implemented through the maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah approach, which aims to protect life, intellect, and lineage, as well as by supporting state regulations intended to safeguard the rights and welfare of children. Consequently, synergy between Islamic law and state law is essential in preventing early marriage and in creating a healthy and just family structure.

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in driving local economic development, particularly in rural areas that rely on the utilization of local natural resources. However, many MSMEs still face challenges in marketing aspects, especially limited use of digital technology, weak branding, and unattractive product packaging. This community service activity aims to strengthen the marketing strategy of the “Nek Surati” cassava chips MSME located in Dolok Village, Nagori Boluk, Bosar Maligas District, Simalungun Regency. The methods employed include field observations, interviews with MSME actors, descriptive analysis of existing problems, and practice-based (hands-on) assistance through digital marketing training, improvement of packaging design, and strengthening of product branding. The results indicate an increase in the digital readiness of the MSME actor, as evidenced by the adoption of WhatsApp Business, the creation of digital product catalogs, and the utilization of social media as a promotional tool. In addition, improvements in packaging design and brand identity enhanced the visual appeal and product image in the eyes of consumers. This assistance activity had a positive impact on improving the marketing capacity of the MSME and opened opportunities for expanding market reach. With continuous assistance, the “Nek Surati” cassava chips MSME has the potential to increase its competitiveness and contribute more significantly to the local economy.

This study aims to analyze the obstacles in Social Studies (IPS) learning related to global issues influenced by technological advancement through a literature review method. Social Studies plays an essential role in shaping students’ understanding of social, economic, cultural, and political life while fostering global awareness in the digital era. However, in practice, IPS learning often faces various challenges that reduce its effectiveness and attractiveness. One of the main problems is students ’low interestin IPS, as it is often perceived as boring and overly theoretical, combined with the influence of technology that diverts students’ attention toward digital entertainment. Other contributing factors include non-interactive teaching methods, limited learning facilities, unconducive classroom environments, and a lack of parental support. Through a comprehensive literature review, this study found that relevant strategies to overcome these issues include Project-Based Learning, Technology Integration, and Contextual Approaches. These strategies enable students to learn actively, critically, and collaboratively by linking IPS material to global issues and real-world phenomena. The recommended solutions include implementing project-based education, utilizing interactive digital media, and fostering intercultural dialogue within the learning process. The results of this study are expected to provide theoretical contributions to the development of adaptive IPS learning models in response to technological progress, as well as practical benefits for teachers, schools, and policymakers in creating Social Studies learning that is engaging, meaningful, and relevant to the global challenges of the 21st century.
