Human Resource Management (HRM) plays a strategic role in improving organizational competitiveness through proper management of employee placement, training, and performance evaluation. To support the achievement of these goals, a predictive model is needed that can provide an accurate picture of employee performance. This study utilizes a Human Resource Management (HRM) dataset of 1,200 data and applies several classification algorithms to compare their effectiveness, namely J48 or C4.5, Random Forest, Naive Bayes, K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN), Logistic Regression, and Support Vector Machine (SVM). To obtain more optimal results, this study uses resampling techniques and attribute selection methods with a correlation attribute eval approach, so that class distribution can be more balanced and model accuracy increases. From the test results, the Decision Tree J48 algorithm showed the best performance with an accuracy level reaching 95.41%, a kappa value of 0.8925, a mean absolute error (MAE) of 0.0432, a precision of 0.955, a recall of 0.954, and an area under the ROC curve of 0.964. These findings indicate that J48 has excellent predictive capabilities compared to other algorithms. Furthermore, this study also found that the most influential variables in determining employee performance include the percentage of the last salary increase (EmpLast Salary Hike Percent), the level of work environment satisfaction (Emp Environment Satisfaction), the length of time since the last promotion (Years Since Last Promotion), and experience in the current role (Experience Years in Current Role). Overall, the results of the study indicate that the C4.5 algorithm with the application of the resampling technique can be an optimal solution in building an employee performance prediction system. Thus, this model has the potential to be a strong basis for managerial decision-making, particularly in designing HR development strategies and policies to improve organizational performance.

This study aims to analyze workload in improving employee performance at PT XYZ Indonesia in Tangerang City. Two core informants and five key informants met the sample criteria. The method used was a qualitative descriptive phenomenological approach with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, documentation of company management, NVivo, triangulation, and SWOT analysis. The results of this study indicate that PT XYZ Indonesia's workload is managed flexibly through setting targets based on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) tailored to the capabilities of each employee. The work environment, both physical and non-physical, significantly influences work effectiveness and comfort. Some employees experience fatigue, especially when the workload increases, but the company provides compensation such as workload adjustments and work from home. The main obstacles in achieving targets are mostly caused by external factors such as client demands, the amount of work piling up, and limited work equipment. All employees follow clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and evaluations are conducted periodically to ensure the quality and quantity of performance are maintained. This research is expected to serve as a reference for companies in managing workloads and increasing employee productivity in the digital age.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) is one of the most common musculoskeletal disorders experienced by office workers. This condition generally arises from repetitive wrist activities, such as prolonged typing or intensive mouse use, which cause pressure on the median nerve. Symptoms of CTS include pain, tingling, weakness, and decreased hand function, which can interfere with work productivity. Various conservative interventions have been developed, one of which is nerve gliding exercises, which mobilize the median nerve to reduce pressure, improve blood flow, and facilitate nerve movement within the carpal canal. This study aims to narratively review the effectiveness of nerve gliding exercises in improving the functional abilities of CTS patients, particularly in office workers. The method used was a systematic literature review of 16 international articles published between 2016 and 2024, using randomized controlled trial (RCT) and quasi-experimental designs. Articles were selected based on inclusion criteria, which included the primary intervention of nerve gliding exercise in CTS patients, measurement of hand function using the Boston Carpal Tunnel Questionnaire (BCTQ), and parameters of grip strength and range of motion. The analysis showed that nerve gliding exercise consistently resulted in significant improvements in grip strength, wrist range of motion, and reduced disability scores on the BCTQ. Several studies also reported reduced pain complaints and improved quality of life in patients after 4–8 weeks of regular intervention. Furthermore, the combination of nerve gliding exercise with other modalities, such as ultrasound therapy, low-level laser therapy (LLLT), or the use of wrist splints, has been shown to produce more optimal effects than either intervention alone. These findings support the belief that nerve gliding exercise is an effective, simple, inexpensive, and easily applicable therapeutic strategy for CTS patients, particularly high-risk office workers.

This study aims to identify and analyze the denotative and connotative meanings in an alternative universe (AU) entitled Throw.back by @Matchacioya uploaded on social media X. The approach used in this study is descriptive qualitative with semantic theory as the basis of analysis. Semantic theory is used to explore how the meaning of a word or phrase is formed both literally (denotative) and in a social and emotional context (connotative). The research data was obtained through the free-spirited conversational listening method, which allows researchers to understand and identify the words or phrases used in the AU. After the data was collected, the analysis was carried out using the distribution method, with the direct element division technique and the lesap technique. The direct element division technique is used to dissect the literal meaning of the word or phrase, while the lesap technique is used to understand the hidden meaning, namely the meaning formed due to the influence of the context and the emotional experiences of the characters in the AU. The results of the study show that the denotative meaning reflects the literal meaning of the word or phrase, such as the word "kabur" which refers to a physical event in the story. Meanwhile, connotative meaning is deeper and reflects a more complex emotional interpretation, such as in the phrase "lost direction" which describes the character's emotional confusion. The importance of connotative meaning is also reflected in the use of symbolism and metaphor in the work. Phrases such as "becoming a shadow" or "trapped in time" not only refer to physical or temporal states, but also describe the character's inner conflict and search for identity. This research confirms that language plays a crucial role as a communication tool that helps build interactions between characters in literary works, especially in AU that is developing on social media.

Subcontractor selection is a crucial factor in determining the success of a construction project. The selected subcontractor not only plays a role in expediting the completion of the work but also influences the overall quality, cost, and timeliness of the project. Mistakes in decision-making, such as selecting a less competent subcontractor, can result in delays in completion, increased project costs, and even decreased construction quality. Therefore, a systematic, measurable, and objective method is needed to support the subcontractor selection process. This study aims to implement the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method as an approach in a decision support system for subcontractor selection. AHP was chosen because it can decompose complex problems into simpler structures by determining criteria weights and comparing alternatives. The criteria used in this study include expertise, work experience, timeliness of work, equipment availability, and bid price. By assigning weights to each criterion, the selection process can be carried out more transparently and measurably. The case study was conducted at PT. Tatha Group, a company engaged in the construction services sector. In this study, AHP was used to prioritize alternative subcontractors to be selected to assist in project implementation. The research results show that the AHP method produces clear, structured results and supports more accurate decision-making. Thus, the application of AHP not only minimizes subjectivity in assessments but also provides accountable recommendations for selecting the best subcontractor for the project's needs.

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are pivotal to the economic development of a country, contributing significantly to job creation, poverty alleviation, and the overall growth of the economy. In Indonesia, including Kupang City, MSMEs are considered a key pillar of the national economy. Despite their economic importance, MSMEs face challenges in fulfilling their tax obligations, with many failing to report taxes in accordance with the law. This non-compliance not only affects tax revenue collection but also hinders the effectiveness of the tax system. This study aimed to identify the factors influencing MSME tax reporting obligations in Kupang City by analyzing the roles of knowledge, understanding, awareness, and tax sanctions. Using a quantitative survey method, the research gathered data from MSMEs registered at the Kupang Tax Office (KPP Pratama). The findings revealed that knowledge, awareness, and tax sanctions have a significant impact on MSMEs' compliance with tax reporting obligations. In particular, knowledge and awareness were found to increase MSMEs' understanding of their responsibilities, motivating them to fulfill their tax obligations. On the other hand, tax understanding, despite being important, did not have a significant direct effect on compliance, which may indicate that practical experience and exposure to tax-related practices play a more crucial role. Moreover, when analyzed simultaneously, all four variables—knowledge, understanding, awareness, and tax sanctions—had a significant impact on MSMEs' tax reporting obligations. These results highlight the importance of targeted interventions, such as comprehensive tax education and regular outreach programs. By offering training sessions, mentoring, and practical workshops, tax authorities can better engage with MSMEs and improve their tax compliance rates.

According to the circular letter from the Head of the Inspectorate General (KaIT) regarding the review of mining accident cases in September 2024 and the review of mining accidents in the third quarter of 2024, the percentage of accidents occurring in workshops reached 16.13%. Over the past five years, the Plant Department of PT Saptaindra Sejati Jobsite Sera has experienced two major incidents classified as Lost Time Injury (LTI) resulting from working with lifting equipment on undercarriage components. The purpose of this study is to identify risks, analyze risk levels, and provide recommendations for risk control in the overhaul work of the PC210-10M0 undercarriage. This research applies the HIRADC method by identifying potential hazards through calculations of likelihood and severity levels to obtain the risk level using a risk matrix. Control measures are then carried out through administrative actions such as documentation and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). The results of this study indicate a decrease in risk levels after implementing risk controls—from extreme risk to medium risk, and from high risk to low risk. Suggestions from this study include the need to develop updated HIRADC for each section, actively conduct socialization regarding Job Safety Analysis (JSA) before work, and perform inspections as well as observations related to work behavior.

Economic growth in Bali Province is predominantly driven by the tourism, service, and agricultural sectors, which play a vital role in the region’s development and income generation. Over the 2014–2024 period, however, the province has experienced a fluctuating and generally declining growth trend, influenced by both internal and external economic dynamics. This study aims to examine the influence of unemployment, district minimum wage (Upah Minimum Kabupaten/Kota—UMK), and education on economic growth across the nine regencies and cities in Bali Province. Employing a quantitative approach with an associative research design, the study utilizes panel data that combines cross-section data (9 regencies/cities) and time-series data spanning 2014–2024, yielding a total of 99 observations. To ensure robust estimation, panel data regression analysis was conducted, with the Random Effect Model (REM) selected as the most appropriate method based on the results of the Hausman test. The empirical findings reveal that, simultaneously, unemployment, UMK, and education have a significant influence on regional economic growth in Bali. Partially, education exerts a positive and significant effect, indicating that improvements in educational attainment and quality can drive higher productivity and foster sustainable economic development. Conversely, UMK demonstrates a negative and significant impact, suggesting that increases in the minimum wage, while beneficial for workers’ welfare, may impose financial burdens on businesses—particularly small and medium-sized enterprises—thus potentially slowing economic activity. Similarly, unemployment has a negative and significant effect, underscoring its detrimental role in limiting economic output and household income. These results emphasize the need for policymakers to strike a balance between enhancing workforce welfare through wage regulations and ensuring that such measures do not hinder economic competitiveness. Furthermore, strengthening education policies, improving access to quality learning, and aligning educational outcomes with labor market demands are crucial for supporting long-term economic growth in Bali.

This study discusses the symbolic meaning contained in the use of figurative language in the poetry anthology Selamat Menunaikan Ibadah Puisi by Joko Pinurbo. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a semiotic analysis method as a theoretical basis, which allows researchers to interpret the signs and symbols in the poetic texts in depth. The results of the study show that the figurative language in the poems does not only function as rhetorical decoration or mere linguistic ornamentation, but has a strong and essential symbolic function in conveying hidden messages and the poet's inner emotions. Symbols such as "storm", "refrigerator", "twilight", "window", "door", "river", and others are not only concrete images, but convey deep meanings related to inner suffering, past memories, the search for self-identity, feelings of alienation, and the search for the universal meaning of life. In addition, this study also identifies various types of figurative language used by Joko Pinurbo in the anthology, including metaphor, simile, personification, hyperbole, synecdoche, paradox, and irony. All types of figurative language are skillfully used to enrich the meaning of poetry and deepen the aesthetic experience of readers, allowing them to feel and reproduce the messages hidden behind the words. Thus, this study confirms that the use of figurative language in poetry is not only a literary technique, but also a powerful medium of expression and a means of communicating complex meanings in modern literary works. Mission constitutes a fundamental dimension of the Catholic Church’s identity, intrinsically linked to the divine mandate to participate in God’s work of salvation in the world. Within this framework, the consecrated life of the Congregation of the Missionary Sisters Servants of the Holy Spirit (SSpS) embodies a distinctive expression of Trinitarian spirituality and a prophetic missionary vocation. In the context of Timor Island, this charism is concretely manifested through ministries that directly engage with the realities of local communities. This study adopts a qualitative methodology with a literature review approach, drawing on theological sources, congregational spirituality, and the SSpS Constitution to explore the theological and practical dimensions of the sisters’ mission. The research aims to analyze how the life and apostolate of the SSpS Sisters serve as a tangible witness to the presence of the Triune God, particularly through works in education, healthcare, social services, and pastoral ministry. The findings indicate that the sisters’ mission is deeply rooted in a faith experience centered on the Most Holy Trinity, which shapes their incarnational and intercultural approach to ministry. Their service reflects a prophetic commitment to empowering marginalized communities, promoting human dignity, and fostering social transformation. Furthermore, the integration of religious vows with active engagement in societal issues illustrates a spirituality that bridges contemplation and action, grounded in both fidelity to the Gospel and responsiveness to contextual needs. In conclusion, the consecrated life of the SSpS Sisters on Timor Island stands as a visible and dynamic sign of God’s salvific and prophetic presence. Through their holistic and transformative ministries, they contribute significantly to the mission of the Church and the common good of society, embodying a vision of the “civilization of love” rooted in Trinitarian communion and expressed in concrete service to humanity.

Scabies is a contagious skin disease caused by Sarcoptes scabiei infestation, and generally affects children and adolescents, especially those living in crowded and unhygienic environments such as orphanages. This disease is highly contagious through direct contact and the sharing of personal items, such as towels, clothing, and bedding. Therefore, ongoing promotional and preventive efforts are crucial to prevent the spread of scabies in vulnerable communities. This community service activity was carried out at the Harapan Kita Orphanage within the Ariodillah Community Health Center (Puskesmas) working area. The main objective of the activity was to increase children's knowledge, awareness, and skills in preventing scabies transmission. The activity methods used included two-way discussion-based health education, providing real-life examples of personal hygiene, and distributing educational leaflets that are easy for children to understand. The education was conducted interactively by involving participants in questions and answers, handwashing simulations, and education on the importance of washing clothes and maintaining clean bedding. Post-activity observations showed that all participants did not experience active scabies symptoms, and there was an increase in participants' understanding of clean and healthy lifestyles. The children showed high enthusiasm and were able to reflect on the information presented. Overall, this activity proved effective in raising awareness of the importance of personal and environmental hygiene. This counseling model is highly relevant for regular implementation in orphanages or other institutions at high risk of spreading infectious skin diseases, as part of an education-based public health strategy. With the active involvement of the orphanage caregivers, it is hoped that this program can be sustainable and become part of the routine health education for children.

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of violence experienced by individuals in the early adulthood age range (18–25 years), which is often a manifestation of unresolved traumatic experiences. Unmanaged trauma can have profound psychological impacts, affecting an individual's identity, social relationships, and outlook on life. However, within the framework of positive psychology, there is the concept of Post Traumatic Growth (PTG), which explains the potential for psychological growth that can emerge after an individual experiences severe stress or trauma. PTG includes positive changes in oneself, increased meaning in life, personal strength, and appreciation for life. The concept of PTG is the main foundation in the creation of abstract sculptures that attempt to represent the psychological journey of victims of violence, from destructive conditions to recovery and self-awareness. Abstract forms are used as a visual medium to reflect inner conflict, identity fragmentation, and the complex process of internal transformation. The choice of abstraction allows for free expression of realistic forms, thus presenting a profound symbolic interpretation. The method of creation of the work is carried out through an artistic approach that emphasizes the exploration of form, texture, material, and space in three-dimensional expression. This process not only produces visual objects but also creates expressive symbols that contain narratives of psychological healing. The sculpture is presented as a contemplative medium that invites the audience to experience, understand, and interpret the inner journey of victims of violence. The resulting creation demonstrates that abstract sculpture can be a powerful means of emotional communication, facilitating public understanding of the experience of trauma and the potential for post-traumatic growth. Thus, this work not only serves as an artistic representation of the inner dynamics of victims of violence but also serves as a reflective medium that fosters awareness of the human capacity to recover and thrive after experiencing profound suffering.

Character education serves as a fundamental pillar in shaping a generation of morally upright, responsible, and resilient youth. It not only fosters ethical behavior but also equips children with the skills and attitudes necessary to contribute positively to society. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of character education among children through a combination of artistic activities—such as coloring and calligraphy—and environmental activities, specifically planting. The research was conducted in two orphanages located in Blitar Regency, namely Raudhatul Aitam Orphanage and Nurul Falah Orphanage. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that creative, participatory, and collaborative approaches are effective in nurturing essential character values among children, both under and over the age of ten. The core values instilled through the activities include appreciation for global diversity, cooperative spirit (gotong royong), faith, and environmental awareness. Practical activities, such as coloring illustrations of traditional houses, planting chili plants, and coloring calligraphic artworks, were found to enhance children’s creativity, self-confidence, patience, and social interaction skills. Moreover, these activities encouraged teamwork and a sense of responsibility, as children worked together to complete tasks and care for their environment. The study highlights the importance of integrating cultural, artistic, and ecological elements in character education programs to create engaging and meaningful learning experiences. Furthermore, continuous support and collaboration from various stakeholders—including caregivers, educators, community members, and government institutions—are essential to ensure sustainability. When consistently implemented, such programs have the potential to produce long-term positive impacts, helping children grow into individuals who are not only skilled and creative but also possess strong moral values and a deep sense of social responsibility.
