Abstract. Educational institutions that are classified as having independence to a certain extent are Islamic boarding schools, both in terms of funding and in providing education. Not a few Islamic boarding schools have been able to properly implement the al-itimad principle a la alnafs, the al-najah principle, namely relying on oneself and optimizing one's potential as the basis for success, there are even some Islamic boarding schools that are able to empower the local economy. In this research, the researcher tries to take an approach that is closely related to what will be researched, where the approach is used as a reference in the research process. The method in this research is that the researcher uses qualitative data collection techniques with descriptive methods to provide a systematic description of the situation, facts and phenomena found in the location to be studied. The research results show that in its efforts to build the independence of Islamic boarding schools. To build the independence of Islamic boarding schools, not only with a vision and mission, it is necessary to have funds to support the Islamic boarding school.       keywords: Management, financing and independence

Corruption is a crucial problem and an extraordinary crime that has wide-ranging impacts on society, the nation, and the state. The issue of corruption certainly requires serious attention. This cannot be separated from the fact that corruption has become commonplace, where its presence can be found from the central to regional levels, including rural areas. The cases of this crime continue to increase year by year. The rampant corruption cases necessitate eradication efforts involving every element of society by instilling anti-corruption values in daily life. This can be packaged through strengthening anti-corruption character as a strategic step by educating and reinforcing mental attitudes in a structured way to foster and strengthen anti-corruption behavior. The target for strengthening anti-corruption character is universal, regardless of age, gender, environment, or educational level. As long as a person can receive anti-corruption education, this step will be effective as a strategy to prevent and reduce corruption. Educational institutions are one of the bodies that need to implement anti-corruption education programs, as seen at Mega Islamic Boarding School High School in Semarang City. The eradication of corruption by instilling anti-corruption education is very important, especially for students, as they are the younger generation who will one day hold the future of the nation. Moreover, Mega Islamic Boarding School High School in Semarang City is an Islamic-based educational institution, which firmly holds that corruption is forbidden because it threatens human safety and causes harm to dignity and wealth, and those who commit it will face penalties not only in this world but also in the hereafter

Understanding the realization of a science institution that is able to produce graduates who are noble, competitive, and able to raise the level of Islamic science so that it can compete with other science institutions. by trying to concentrate on improving institutional administration with an emphasis on developing academic fields. Qualitative research methodology is applied. Documentation, observation, and interviews are used as data collection methods. Data collection techniques include documentation, observation, and interviews. Data reduction, data presentation (data display), and drawing conclusions/verification are three data analysis procedures used. The academic development plan of the Darul Hikmah Islamic Boarding School in Tulungagung is based on the following findings: 1) conditions that encourage institutional progress; a) effective leadership through the development of institutional vision and its implementation in the classroom b) increasing learning resources; c) providing additional staff assistance to qualified teachers. 2) Opinions about science A) the ability to distinguish between good and bad in relation to institutional development; B) the ability to work with people in any form; and C) the existence of distinctive characteristics in the organization. 3) Comply with regulations, the Ministry of National Science Planting, and the community Building a positive culture; 5) Improve the experience of Science Planting.

Realizing the development of educational institutions that will produce competitive graduates, have good morals and have an impact on increasing the quality of Islamic education that can compete and be competitive with other educational institutions. By trying to focus on handling the management of institutions to be better by focusing on development in the academic field. The research method used is qualitative. Data collection techniques are carried out by interviews, observation and documentation. Data collection techniques are by interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques used are 1) data reduction, 2) data presentation (data displays and 3) conclusion drawing/verification (conclusion drawing/verification). The results of this study are; academic development strategies at the Darul Hikmah Islamic Boarding School in Tulungagung, namely 1) conditions that make progress in the institution; a) effective leadership by creating an institutional vision and implementing it in learning b) empowering quality teachers supported by other teaching staff, c) improving learning resources. 2) views on education a) the ability to distinguish between good and bad in developing institutions b) having the ability to work with anyone, c) the existence of characteristics in the institution. 3) fulfilling policies and the Ministry of Education and society 4) creating a good culture; 5) improving the learning process.

This research aims to determine and analyze the recording of financial reports at the Nurul Haq Islamic boarding school in accordance with Islamic boarding school accounting guidelines which include financial position reports, net asset change reports, cash flow reports and notes to financial reports. The method used in this research is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The results of this research found that currently the Nurul Haq Islamic boarding school only uses simple financial reports because it does not fully understand Islamic boarding school accounting guidelines, due to a lack of knowledge and information regarding Islamic boarding school accounting.

The creation of the website of MaQis Alhamidy 4 Islamic Boarding School aims to provide an effective means of information and promotion to support the Qismart self-service store managed by the pesantren. In today's digital era, the existence of a website is very important for organizations, including Islamic educational institutions such as Pondok Pesantren MaQis Alhamidy 4. This website is designed not only to convey information about pesantren activities and services, but also to promote the pesantren self-service which serves as one of the main sources of income. Website development is carried out through several stages, namely observation, identification, implementation, and evaluation. The KKN Inovasi Pesantren Group 02 team, consisting of 16 members, was directly involved in this process. In the observation stage, the team observed and recorded the phenomena that occurred in the pesantren. Problem identification was conducted through interviews with pesantren administrators to understand the needs and challenges faced, especially related to the self-service information and promotion system. The implementation stage involved information collection and assistance in using the website as an information medium. Evaluation was conducted to reflect on the process and results achieved. The results of this project show that the developed website successfully created an effective platform to introduce and promote Qismart Supermarket to the community. The website facilitates access to important information and strengthens the brandi.

Podcasts are an accessible and popular audio platform that has grown rapidly, especially among the younger generation. Over time, podcasts have developed from initially being audio to now developing in visual form, making the message easier to understand and not boring for listeners. This research aims to determine the innovation of the podcast program as a digital technology-based communication medium at the Mambaus Sholihin 2 Blitar Islamic Boarding School. This research uses the theory of Cook, Irwin and Matthew (2009) that the factors determining the success of innovation are determined by Leadership, Management/Organization, Risk Management, Human Capital and Technology. The methods used are observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles and Huberman method with data reduction steps, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The research results show that this digital technology-based innovation has become a strategic step in utilizing broadcasting facilities. Even though they were faced with various challenges, such as limited filming and editing facilities, as well as the need to improve technical skills, the KKN group together with the podcast team succeeded in showing good adaptation and high commitment to continuing to learn and develop.

In the era of globalization, identity and cultural crises are increasingly prevalent in many societies, including in Indonesia. This is caused by the integration of new cultures and values that obscure the roots of local traditions. Cultural Islamic boarding schools play an important role in responding to this phenomenon by offering a holistic approach that combines religious education with the preservation of local culture. The Ndalem Wongsorogo Cultural Islamic Boarding School in Kendal, Central Java, is a real example in the effort to preserve local traditions and identities. This boarding school not only teaches religious values, but also arts, culture, and practical skills such as barista and fine arts. This approach allows students to develop a more holistic understanding of their identity, combining faith with local wisdom. With routine activities such as gamelan practice, klenengan, and hadroh, this boarding school functions as a center for the preservation of arts and traditions as well as a repository of cultural heritage. This article explores the role of cultural boarding schools in maintaining cultural identity amidst the flow of globalization and offers insights into how this institution can become an adaptive educational model that answers the challenges of modernization without abandoning cultural roots

This research aims to explore the role of chemistry in daily life from the perspective of female students (santri puteri) at Al-Ihsan Islamic Boarding School in Banjarmasin. Through qualitative methods including interviews and observations, this study investigates the understanding, perceptions, and experiences of the students regarding the practical applications of chemistry in their everyday lives. The findings highlight the significance of integrating chemistry education with real-life contexts to enhance students' comprehension and appreciation of this scientific discipline. Understanding the perspectives of female students in Islamic boarding schools sheds light on how chemistry education can be tailored to meet the needs and interests of diverse learner populations.

This study was conducted on the basis of describing the Role of Cooperatives in Increasing Teachers' Interest in Joining the Musthafawiyah Employee Cooperative (Case Study of the Musthafawiyah Employee Cooperative of the Musthafawiyah Islamic Boarding School). This study was conducted from October 2023 to July 2024. The study used a phenomenological approach. The data validation technique was carried out by digging up information from several informants who were directly related to the cooperative. In addition, the researcher also conducted direct observations at the research location to verify the data whether the data obtained from the informants was in line with the reality in the field or not. The results of this study, the author concluded that the cooperative had not been able to carry out its role properly in increasing teachers' interest in joining and actively participating in the Musthafawiyah Employee Cooperative, as can be seen from the cooperative members who left the cooperative, the number of members did not increase every year. This is also referred to by several factors, namely individual factors and environmental factors. To overcome the lack of interest of teachers to join the Musthafawiyah employee cooperative, namely by increasing socialization and communication, strengthening the role of leadership, providing incentives and ease of joining, improving the quality of cooperative services, and creating synergy with related institutions.

Concern about the decline in ethics, morals and morals in Indonesia which has a negative impact on society. Strengthening character is considered the right solution to overcome this problem, with a focus on formal or non-formal education, including Islamic boarding schools. This research aims to determine character strengthening through Sabilul Competition activities at the Sabilul Muttaqin Islamic Boarding School, Mojokerto City. The characters studied include self-confident character, character who appreciates achievement, and productive character. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the research show that the students' confident character is formed because of their courage in participating in various competitions with confidence in their abilities. The character of appreciating achievements is shown by the support between friends and the ability to accept defeat. The productive character can be seen from the students' participation in competitions in their free time. Sabilul Competition activities at the Sabilul Muttaqin Islamic Boarding School are held at the end of every month on Thursday in the hall of the women's Islamic boarding school.

Waste cooking oil/used cooking oil which is blackish brown is residue from the frying process that still contains fatty acids which have the potential to be used to make soap.  At the Al Ihsan Puteri Islamic boarding school, Banjarmasin used cooking oil waste has not been managed well. This activity aims to educate the Islamic boarding school community (santriwati) and boarding school administrators about making washing soap from used cooking oil as a solution so that used cooking oil can be reused in other forms. Participants in the activity were 15 female students at the Al Ihsan Puteri Banjarmasin Islamic Boarding School. This activity consists of discussion (counseling) and direct practice. The chemistry knowledge education material explains the impact of used cooking oil on the body, while the soap-making training material explains the cold saponification method through demonstrations. The service results show that almost 100% of the students who initially did not know how to reuse used cooking oil in soap, now know how to reuse used cooking oil. Students also increase their knowledge and skills in reacting with materials in the saponification process.

This study aims to determine the social behavior and factors that cause children to drop out of school in the community of Paleran Village, Umbulsari District, Jember Regency. The research conducted is socio-cultural research that uses descriptive qualitative and quantitative research methods by determining the sample through Purposive Sampling technique by selecting several informants who have criteria determined by the researcher, namely knowing about the Social Behavior of School Dropouts. The results showed that the factors that cause children to drop out of school in the community of Paleran Village, Umbulsari District, Jember Regency most children choose to work or continue their education at the Islamic Boarding School. In addition, other factors such as children's interest and motivation to enthusiasm for learning are lacking, early marriage and death and family economic factors also so that the child cannot continue his education.

This research aims to understand the contribution of the Dzikrul Ghofilin Al-Hasyimiyysh Islamic Boarding School in developing the entrepreneurial spirit of its students, with the ultimate goal of creating alumni with high entrepreneurial abilities. Using descriptive qualitative methodology and field research, this study collected data through in-depth interviews and observations, supported by relevant documentation. The data analysis process involved in-depth interviews to obtain real results and literature reviews containing conclusions and thoughts from the author from several reference sources obtained. The findings show that Islamic Boarding Schools have a significant role in developing the entrepreneurial spirit among students, especially through the implementation of strict financial independence, such as understanding the importance of business. It is hoped that students will leave the Islamic boarding school with strong entrepreneurial knowledge and awareness of opportunities, both in the online and offline world of work, as well as the ability to create new jobs.

This research aims to explore the role of digital marketing as a catalyst for change in building resilience among pesantrens in the digital era. A qualitative method was employed with a case study approach on pesantrens in Banyuwangi that have adopted digital marketing strategies. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with pesantren managers, document analysis, and direct observation of social media content and websites of the pesantrens. Thematic and descriptive analyses were used to understand digital marketing strategies, the impact of content marketing, and the use of social media in building pesantren communities. The findings indicate that effective digital marketing enhances pesantren visibility, community engagement, and student participation in online education programs. Content marketing strategies play a crucial role in conveying Islamic educational values and strengthening pesantren identities, while social media facilitates closer interaction between pesantrens and their communities. These findings provide insights into how pesantrens can strategically leverage digital technology to remain relevant and competitive in the evolving digital era.

This paper aims to explain the importance of political literacy for Islamic boarding school students (santri) as a means to achieve Indonesia's golden age by 2045. This research focuses on qualitative methods with a literature study approach, focusing on primary data in the form of documentation, including books, journals, articles, and other literature related to political discussions and Islamic boarding school students. The results show that "santri" (literate people) or those seeking religious knowledge in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) must possess broad insight and be tolerant of political apathy. Santri political awareness is essential for them to contribute to improving and strengthening Indonesia's political system with noble religious values. Santri involvement in politics also serves as a means to raise awareness as active citizens, strengthen nationalism, and make politics a form of service, not personal ambition. Politically literate students will be able to face various social and political challenges wisely and contribute to maintaining the nation's stability and progress. Therefore, a joint effort is needed to strengthen political education, both for santri and the general public, so that by 2045, Indonesia will have an intelligent, ethical generation ready to lead the nation towards a bright future.

The demonstration method is a learning method using teaching aids or direct practice to clarify an understanding of learning to students. Al Amien Prenduan Girls' Islamic Boarding School 1 is one of the Islamic boarding schools that applies learning using the demonstration method through the book Sullamut Taufiq in certain chapters. In this method, the researcher found that the female students at the Al-Amien Prenduan Girls' Islamic Boarding School 1 had applied the demonstration method. so that most of the female students living at the Al-Amien Prenduan Girls' Islamic Boarding School 1 better understand learning when using the demonstration method. Therefore, researchers are interested in finding out more about the implementation of the demonstration method to improve understanding of the book Sullamut Taufiq in certain chapters. This research focuses on: 1) how to implement the demonstration method in increasing understanding of the book Sullamut Taufiq at the Al-Amien Prenduan Girls' Islamic Boarding School 1. 2). What are the supporting and inhibiting factors for using the demonstration method in increasing understanding of the book Sullamut Taufiq at the Al-amien Prenduan 1st Girls' Islamic Boarding School. This research uses qualitative fieldwork with a case study type, data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation. The informants in this research were caregivers, teachers, consultants and students at the Islamic Boarding School for Girls 1 Al-Amen Prenduan. The results of the research show that the implementation of the demonstration method in increasing understanding of the book Sullamut Taufiq at the Al-Amien Prenduan Islamic boarding school focuses on the application of the method in learning. because, in order to improve good learning outcomes, first improve good and effective understanding by using appropriate learning methods. Such as using the demonstration method in understanding the book Sullamut Taufiq. Although there are problems faced by teachers, such as a lack of student enthusiasm and not all material can be demonstrated.

This article discusses the history of the establishment of Pondok Pesantren Darul Istiqomah Bojonegoro as an educational institution. Darul Istiqomah Islamic Boarding School was founded in 1996 by KH. Abdul Hamid Saifuddin Zuhri Al Musyafa or better known as Kh. Saifuddin. Previously, Kh. Saifuddin had established Assulaiman Islamic Boarding School in 1984 in Nglumber Village. In its heyday, Assulaiman Islamic Boarding School had many students. But in 1994, Kh. Saifuddin decided to close the Assulaiman Islamic Boarding School because he experienced obstacles in preaching. Then he moved to Woro Village and established a new boarding school called Darul Istiqomah Islamic Boarding School. This article also discusses the biography of the boarding school caregiver, Kh. Saifuddin and the development of Darul Istiqomah Islamic Boarding School until now.

This article aims to examine the history of the founding of the Al-Waridin Islamic boarding school, which is one of the historical Islamic educational institutions. The tools used in this research are questionnaires and interview guidelines. The research method used is a qualitative approach because the data collected are the views and opinions of the individuals interviewed through their words. The results of the discussion show that the Al-Waridin cottage, founded by K. Waridin in 1763, has developed from a small mosque which became a center for Islamic education, to the establishment of a boarding school. Apart from that, Al-Waridin Islamic boarding school is able to adapt to changing times, facing various challenges so that it remains relevant in the modern era.

This article reviews the historical traces and central role of KH. Abdul Karim Lirboyo. The aim of this research is to determine the historical traces of KH. Abdul Karim in establishing the Lirboyo Islamic boarding school. The research method used in this research is a historical method which goes through four heuristic stages, Criticism, Interpretation, Histiography. Researchers obtained reference data from previous books and articles. Theresults of this research show that KH. Abdul Karim spent his youth enjoying his knowledge atvarious Islamic boarding schools, he studied at Syaikhona Kholil Bangkalan Madura for 23 years, then boarded the KH Islamic boarding school. Hasyim Asy'ari for 7 years. He is a scholar who left a historical mark on the development of Islam in Indonesia, especially in the East Java region, namely as the founder of the Lirboyo Islamic Boarding School in Kediri. He not only made major contributions in the field of Islamic education, but also played an important role in social, cultural and political aspects in Indonesia.
