This community service program aims to develop an empowerment model for Etawa goat milk micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Kepuh Klagen Village, Wringinanom District, Gresik Regency through an Islamic Social Entrepreneurship (ISE) approach. Kepuh Klagen Village has significant economic potential in Etawa goat farming; however, MSME actors face several challenges, including limited halal-thayyib-based production capacity, low literacy in Islamic business management and finance, weak branding and marketing strategies, and the absence of sustainable collaboration among farmers. This program employed a participatory approach through mentoring, training, and capacity building activities. The implementation stages included identifying potentials and problems, providing training on Islamic Social Entrepreneurship values and Islamic business ethics, improving production quality based on halal-thayyib standards, strengthening Islamic financial management practices, and developing digital marketing capabilities. The results indicate an increase in MSME actors’ understanding of Islamic social entrepreneurship, improvements in production hygiene and product quality, and the emergence of collaborative awareness among Etawa goat milk entrepreneurs. The ISE approach proved effective not only in enhancing economic value but also in strengthening social responsibility, spiritual values, and business sustainability. This empowerment model is expected to be replicable for other local commodity-based MSMEs in rural areas.

Tulungagung Regency has the potential for culinary tourism that can be developed, one of which is traditional culinary. Although the Tulungagung Regency Government has presented a "Halal Culinary Area" and a "Pinka Culinary Tourism Area", the area has not fully provided an interesting visual and functional experience. Therefore, it is necessary to design a space that facilitates traditional culinary MSMEs as well as an educational and recreational place. This design carries the theme of contemporary tropical architecture by considering local climatic conditions, through the application of wide openings, cross ventilation, wide trellises, and the use of natural materials, as well as expressive styles with the shape of a rooster roof and the basic shape of an elliptical building as a symbol of adaptation to climate change and the economy in the business environment. The facilities in this design include traditional restaurants, educational bales, wiyata offices, prayer rooms, playgrounds and other supporting facilities that can attract the interest of the community and introduce traditional Tulungagung culinary.

Local governments in Indonesia rely significantly on local tax revenues to strengthen fiscal independence and sustain regional development. Among these revenue sources, the Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB) and the Motor Vehicle Transfer Fee (BBNKB) play a vital role in shaping regional fiscal capacity. This study explores how both taxes contribute to the Regional Own-Source Revenue (PAD) of Central Java Province during the 2020–2024 period. Drawing on quantitative analysis and secondary data from the Central Java Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda), the research assesses the effectiveness and contribution of PKB and BBNKB in supporting local fiscal performance. The results show that PKB consistently exerts a positive, meaningful influence on PAD, underscoring its central role in sustaining the province’s fiscal strength. In contrast, BBNKB demonstrates a weaker, less stable impact, primarily driven by changes in vehicle ownership trends and administrative challenges. When considered together, both tax instruments contribute to enhancing local fiscal capacity, although the reliance on PKB remains predominant. These findings underscore the importance of modernizing regional tax administration, particularly through digital innovation, transparent reporting systems, and community-based compliance strategies. Strengthening these mechanisms is essential to building a more resilient and autonomous fiscal framework, especially in the context of post-pandemic economic recovery and long-term regional development planning

This research examines inter-ethnic marriages between Acehnese and Bugis-Makassar communities in Makassar City from 1990 to 2004, which emerged as a consequence of social mobility, cross-cultural interaction, and compatibility of religious values. The purpose of this study is to explain the factors that trigger inter-ethnic marriages, the underlying customary processes, and the socio-cultural dynamics that occur within family life. This research uses historical methods, including the heuristic stage, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography, with data obtained thru in-depth interviews with four families and related documentary sources. The research findings indicate that holding a wedding requires cultural negotiation between the two groups, with some families adopting traditional Acehnese ceremonial customs, while others implement Bugis-Makassar traditions. In family life, couples face differences in values regarding communication, gender role division, and religious practices, which are then overcome thru a dialogue-based process of adaptation and compromise. This process results in the formation of hybrid cultural identities, the expansion of social networks, and the strengthening of inter-ethnic integration. Overall, intertribal marriages serve as a medium for cultural reconciliation and a means of building more inclusive social relationships in a multicultural society.

The background of this research stems from the need to reexamine the position of theories of truth in the philosophy of science as a basis for the formation of scientific ethics amid the increasingly complex development of modern science. The concept of truth not only functions as an epistemological guideline in determining the validity of knowledge, but also has a normative dimension that influences the integrity, honesty, and responsibility of scientists in the research process. Based on this, this study aims to analyze various theories of truth, including correspondence, coherence, pragmatism, consensus, performativity, deflationism, and foundationalism, and to explain the relevance of each approach to the formation of scientific ethics. This study uses a literature review method with a descriptive-analytical approach through a systematic search of relevant journals, books, and academic sources, which are then analyzed through thematic synthesis to obtain a comprehensive conceptual understanding. The findings show that each theory of truth has a unique contribution to building scientific ethics. Correspondence emphasizes the importance of empirical verification, coherence emphasizes rational consistency, pragmatism highlights theoretical functionality, consensus places scientific dialogue as the legitimization of knowledge, performativity connects truth with action, the deflationary approach emphasizes clarity of language, and foundationalism provides a stable epistemic foundation. The implications of this research show that the integration of these various theories can form a more robust, holistic, and adaptive framework of scientific ethics to the demands of modern scientific practice. This framework is expected to strengthen an honest, transparent, and accountable scientific culture, while opening opportunities for the development of epistemology-based research ethics guidelines in the future.

This study provides a comprehensive analysis of the performance of the Travel Document Section at Tanjung Perak Immigration Office within the framework of Public Administration. Employing a qualitative, case-study approach, the research investigates the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of immigration services, emphasising the application of New Public Management (NPM) principles and Good Governance practices. The findings reveal that while technological innovations such as digital systems (M-Passport and SIMKIM) have successfully improved operational efficiency and reduced physical queues, challenges persist regarding procedural transparency, accountability, and system reliability. Human errors and inconsistent discretion in handling complex documents highlight the need for enhanced capacity building and resource allocation. Moreover, issues of bureaucratic transparency and integrity undermine public trust, underscoring the importance of strengthening internal controls and communication strategies. The study also underscores that service quality is multidimensional, encompassing physical facilities, interpersonal professionalism, and procedural clarity, all of which influence public satisfaction. Despite improvements, the gap between technological efficiency and service effectiveness suggests that further efforts are needed to integrate digital innovations with robust procedural protocols. The research concludes that sustainable performance improvement requires a balanced focus on technological, human, and systemic factors, fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous development. These insights offer valuable policy recommendations to enhance the robustness and responsiveness of immigration services, ultimately strengthening the legitimacy and trust of government institutions in delivering public services.

This study aims to examine the implementation of bureaucratic reform at the Immigration Document Section of Ngurah Rai Immigration Office, focusing on digital transformation through the M-Paspor application to realise a dynamic immigration management system. The research employed qualitative analysis to evaluate service efficiency, transparency, accountability, and staff capacity in the context of digital innovation aligned with Dynamic Governance principles. The findings reveal that digitalisation has significantly enhanced service efficiency through automated procedures, reduced physical queues, and improved transparency, whilst facilitating a shift from manual tasks to core verification and problem-solving activities, though challenges persist regarding human resources capacity and organisational culture, as staff exhibit rule-bound mindsets and defensive communication styles when addressing service delays, thereby undermining public trust and satisfaction. The study concludes that technology alone is insufficient to achieve truly responsive and citizen-centric services, as institutional culture and personnel mindset require continuous strengthening through soft skills training, ethical enforcement, and cultivation of service-oriented, empathetic work culture. Holistic reform approaches that combine technological innovation with human resource development and cultural change are essential for building effective, adaptive, and transparent immigration management systems. The integration of digital systems complemented by professional human resources can foster seamless, efficient, and trustworthy immigration services aligned with good governance principles, whilst sustainable improvements depend on balancing technological advances with organisational culture development and staff professionalism.

Village entrepreneurship is an initiative designed to stimulate regional economic growth by accelerating the development of rural areas, which have long been perceived as slow, less productive, and lagging behind urban centers. The creation of entrepreneurial villages offers a concrete strategy to enhance community productivity because it encourages all components of the village government, residents, and local institutions to participate in structured and collaborative entrepreneurial activities. Such villages are expected to generate new economic opportunities, strengthen local industries, and increase community independence. However, initial observations from this Community Service program show that partner villages still face significant barriers, including limited land area, geographical remoteness, and inadequate human and natural resources. Many peripheral villages have not yet utilized digital technology effectively, making it difficult to expand markets or access broader economic networks. In addition, challenges related to financial access, limited talent development, socio-cultural constraints, and weak market infrastructure continue to hinder economic progress. These conditions demonstrate the urgent need for strategic assistance, capacity-building programs, and stronger support systems to help villages transform into sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystems capable of contributing to long-term regional development.

The Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) is characterized by high seismic activity due to its proximity to the subduction zone and the presence of active fault systems, particularly the Opak Fault. The 2006 Yogyakarta earthquake revealed significant vulnerability in local building structures and highlighted the complex geological conditions governing seismic wave propagation. This study aims to calculate and map the Peak Ground Acceleration (PGA) distribution in Prambanan District, Klaten Regency—one of the areas closest to the 2006 earthquake source. PGA values were estimated using the McGuire attenuation relationship, based on a moment magnitude of Mw 6.3 and the hypocentral distance to 88 observation points distributed at approximately 900-meter intervals. The resulting PGA map indicates values ranging from 26.7 to 31.7 gal, with a clear spatial trend showing increasing intensity from the northern to the southern parts of the study area. Higher PGA values occur in regions near the Opak Fault and in areas dominated by unconsolidated volcanic deposits of the young Merapi formation. These loose sediments amplify seismic waves, resulting in stronger ground motion compared to areas composed of more compact sedimentary rocks. The spatial pattern of PGA corresponds well with the distribution of structural damage recorded during the 2006 earthquake. The findings emphasize the significant role of local geology and fault proximity in shaping seismic hazard levels. Consequently, this study provides essential insights for disaster mitigation strategies, land-use planning, and structural vulnerability assessment within the Prambanan area.

This papper reviews a range of studies that examine the influence of cultural and religious differences on the effectiveness of the counselor–client relationship. The main focus is on how cultural identity and religious beliefs shape the way individuals understand problems, interpret personal experiences, and respond to the counseling process. The literature shows that differences in values, communication styles, and spiritual orientations can affect the quality of the relationship, especially during the stages of building trust and setting counseling goals. At the same time, counselors who possess multicultural competence and sensitivity toward religious diversity are better able to adapt their approaches so clients feel respected and emotionally secure. This review also highlights the importance of counselor self-reflection to avoid personal bias in sessions, particularly when working with clients from backgrounds that differ greatly from their own. By examining various academic sources, this article argues that an effective counseling relationship depends not only on technique but also on the counselor’s ability to understand the client’s life context. The findings of this literature review contribute to the development of more inclusive and culturally responsive counseling practices.
