This study aims to describe and analyze the factors that influence employee job satisfaction at PT Trans Jaya Papua by employing a qualitative descriptive method supported by observation and semi-structured interviews with 12 employees across different departments. The findings reveal that job satisfaction arises from a combination of internal and external factors that interact to shape employees’ overall perceptions of their work. Internal factors consist of individual attitudes, motivation, and the quality of interpersonal relationships, all of which determine how employees respond to daily tasks and workplace dynamics. External factors include leadership style, salary, work environment, and organizational support, each playing a crucial role in shaping employees’ sense of stability and fairness. The results highlight that positive work attitudes and effective communication are the most dominant contributors to employee satisfaction, strengthened by adequate compensation and supportive supervision from leaders. The study concludes that job satisfaction can be further improved through transparent communication, equitable reward systems, and consistent leadership involvement in employee development. These findings provide practical implications for management, particularly in formulating more responsive human resource strategies aimed at enhancing employee performance and organizational effectiveness.

This study aims to analyze the representation of hegemony in the film Kupu-Kupu Kertas using Antonio Gramsci’s hegemony theory and a literary sociology approach. As a medium of mass communication, film not only conveys stories but also produces and reproduces cultural values, ideologies, and power structures that operate subtly within society. Set against the historical backdrop of 1965, the film portrays ideological clashes between NU/Ansor and the PKI, which affect not only political spheres but also everyday culture, social relations, and moral dynamics that shape the collective consciousness of Javanese society. This research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through content analysis of the film using an observation–note technique to identify scenes, dialogues, and visual symbols related to culture, hegemony, and ideology. The analysis focuses on revealing how dominant values are constructed and negotiated through the representation of characters, narratives, and social traditions portrayed in the film. In conclusion, Kupu-Kupu Kertas not only documents the political tragedy of 1965 but also demonstrates that hegemony operates through subtle mechanisms embedded in culture, morality, and patterns of thought. This study affirms the relevance of Gramsci’s theory in examining literary works and films as social texts that practice power while also opening space for understanding individual resistance to ideological domination.

The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum is a national education policy aimed at enhancing the quality of learning through a more flexible, student-centered approach that emphasizes character strengthening. However, the implementation of this curriculum in Islamic schools based on pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) presents unique challenges that require in-depth study. This research aims to describe the challenges faced by teachers in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum at MANU Putra Buntet Pesantren and to examine the school's readiness in supporting its execution. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, semi-structured interviews with the Vice Principal for Curriculum Affairs, and documentation. The results indicate that the Merdeka Curriculum has been implemented in grades X and XI, but its execution is not yet fully optimal. The main challenges faced by teachers include low student engagement in learning, demands for adapting to rapid policy changes from the government and the Ministry of Religious Affairs, as well as limitations in supporting learning facilities and infrastructure. Nevertheless, the character of MANU Putra Buntet Pesantren as an Islamic school based on pesantren serves as a strength in integrating Islamic values into learning. The implications of this research highlight the need for mentoring, more intensive socialization, and improved facilities to ensure the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Islamic schools can be more effective and aligned with the objectives of Islamic education.

The integration of language and culture plays a crucial role in shaping the complexity of human cognitive processes. Language acts not only as a means of conveying messages but also as a conceptual system that influences how individuals construct mental representations, process information, and reason. Culture, on the other hand, provides a set of values, norms, and thought patterns that shape attention, interpretation of experiences, and strategies for understanding the social world. A review of literature from the fields of linguistic relativity, cultural psychology, neurolinguistics, and cross-cultural cognition found that differences in language structure, bilingual experience, and cultural value orientations result in variations in perception, memory, and executive function. Neurocognitive findings indicate that the influence of language and culture is evident down to the level of brain activation. Furthermore, the sociocultural approach emphasizes the role of language as a mediating tool in the process of internalizing values and developing higher-order cognitive abilities. Thus, human cognition is the result of a dynamic interaction between language, culture, and social experience.

This research examines the comparison of Islamic education innovations in Japan and Singapore with a focus on technological approaches and local cultural integration. Japan and Singapore are two developed countries in Asia that have developed Islamic education systems with unique characteristics despite not being Muslim-majority countries. This study uses a qualitative method with a library research approach through document and literature analysis. Data were collected from scientific journals, books, and educational policy documents in both countries. The results show that Japan develops Islamic education with an adaptive approach that integrates digital technology and Japanese cultural values such as discipline and kaizen. Meanwhile, Singapore builds a structured Islamic education system integrated with the national education system through MUIS with innovations in the aL.I.V.E curriculum and SIES. The main difference lies in the level of institutionalization and government support, where Singapore has a more formal structure while Japan is more flexible and community-based. Both models provide valuable lessons for the development of Islamic education in Indonesia, particularly in terms of technology integration, local cultural adaptation, and contextual curriculum development.

This study compares the Islamic religious education systems in Indonesia and Malaysia with a particular focus on curriculum design and its implementation within secondary schools. Using a qualitative research approach, data were gathered through document analysis and interviews with educators and school administrators from both countries. The findings show that although Indonesia and Malaysia share similar objectives in fostering students’ understanding and practice of Islamic teachings, several significant differences remain in terms of curriculum structure, learning materials, and instructional strategies. In Indonesia, Islamic religious education is more closely integrated into the national curriculum, emphasizing a balance between religious values and general educational competencies. Meanwhile, Malaysia adopts a more specific and traditionally oriented curriculum that places stronger emphasis on classical Islamic knowledge and conventional pedagogical practices. Implementation in both countries is shaped by government policies, socio-cultural contexts, and local wisdom that influence how Islamic education is delivered in the classroom. Overall, this study is expected to contribute as a useful reference for enhancing the effectiveness, relevance, and contextualization of Islamic education systems in both nations.

This study examines the increasing prevalence of premarital sexual behavior among Indonesian adolescents, including Catholic youths, which poses a significant challenge to the moral formation and faith development promoted by the Catholic Church. Using a qualitative method with a literature study approach, this research analyzes the phenomenon of adolescent free sex from the perspective of Catholic moral theology and family pastoral care. The findings reveal that the rise of free sexual behavior among adolescents is strongly influenced by curiosity, fragmented family structures, weak value-based sexual education, and the unregulated use of digital media. Moral theology views sexuality as a divine gift whose authentic meaning is realized only within the sacramental bond of marriage; therefore, premarital sex is considered a deviation from human dignity and the true nature of love. The study also highlights the essential role of the family as the Domestic Church in shaping conscience, character, and responsible sexual attitudes among youths. Pastoral strategies proposed include integral sexual education, strengthening parent–child communication in the digital age, and contextual pastoral accompaniment rooted in compassion, as emphasized in Amoris Laetitia. This research underscores the need for collaborative efforts between families, the Church, and educational institutions to guide young people toward a holistic understanding of sexuality, authentic love, and their Christian vocation in contemporary society.

The Protestant Reformation, pioneered by Martin Luther in the 16th century, was an important moment in Christian history. This movement emerged as a critique of Catholic Church practices, particularly the sale of indulgences and the abuse of power by clergy, which were considered to deviate from the teachings of the Bible. In response, the Catholic Church convened the Council of Trent. This council not only reaffirmed the teachings of the faith but also tightened spiritual discipline and reformed the internal structure to maintain the unity of the Church. In addition, the Council of Trent also encouraged pastoral renewal supported by religious orders, especially the Society of Jesus (Jesuits), which played a major role in education, missions, and social services. This study analyzes the roots of the Reformation, examines the Council of Trent as the official response of the Catholic Church, and explores the forms of pastoral renewal that emerged afterwards. The results show that although the Protestant Reformation was a major challenge, the Catholic Church's response through the Council of Trent and the pastoral renewal movement succeeded in strengthening Catholic identity and left an important legacy that has influenced the development of the Church to this day.

This study aims to describe the perspectives of economic actors regarding the importance of money in daily interactions and transactions. Money, as a medium of exchange, not only facilitates the transfer of goods and services but also shapes more efficient and structured economic behavior. In everyday activities, economic actors view money as an instrument that provides value certainty, transactional convenience, and flexibility in managing needs and expenditures. The role of money is also understood as a factor influencing socio-economic relationships, as interactions between individuals are often grounded in transactional processes that require trust and universally accepted exchange values. Furthermore, the development of payment technologies has broadened economic actors’ understanding of money, especially within the context of digitalized transactions. This study illustrates that money is not merely a transactional tool but also a crucial element in shaping the socio-economic dynamics of modern society. The findings are expected to contribute to microeconomic discussions related to how economic actors utilize money as a fundamental instrument in daily economic activities.

The importance of the Sailing Approval Letter (SPB) is specifically regulated in Law Number 17 of 2008 concerning Shipping. Despite existing regulations, maritime accidents caused by technical factors and human error are still common. Safety and security issues, along with all shipping activities, are the joint responsibility of the ship owner and relevant port authorities. Ships are a very effective and efficient mode of transportation. Therefore, the port service system, including the process of ship entry and departure, is a critical component of the infrastructure needed to accelerate the maritime transportation system. The issuance of the SPB is currently carried out through the Inaportnet System as a form of digital service transformation in the port sector, managed by BPTD Class II Aceh. This research aims to analyze the implementation of the Inaportnet system in the management of SPB issuance for ships at the Singkil Ferry Port. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques carried out through observation and interviews. The results show that the implementation of the Inaportnet system at BPTD Class II Aceh is quite effective in accelerating the administrative process of issuing the SPB. However, several constraints were identified, particularly related to weather factors and the limited number of human resources who fully master the Inaportnet application, which can affect the overall smoothness and speed of the service.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate income inequality and poverty as key indicators of uneven economic development in North Sumatra Province in 2024. This study analyzed various secondary sources, including BPS reports, SINTA-indexed national journals, and regional economic policy publications. The results show that regencies in the west coast and mountainous regions of North Sumatra tend to be lagging behind, while urban areas such as Medan and Deli Serdang have the highest concentration of economic growth, meaning that income inequality remains at a moderate-high level. The finding that economic progress remains uneven is reinforced by the fact that the poverty rate remains higher than the national average. From the results of this study, not only economic factors influence inequality and poverty, but also structural factors such as infrastructure access, human labor quality, and regional fiscal inequality. Therefore, more inclusive and integrated policies are needed to address inequality and improve welfare across all provinces.

The economy of West Sumatra Province has shown a significant decline in recent years, with the lowest growth rate on the entire island of Sumatra. This study aims to examine the influence of capital expenditure, unemployment, and the Human Development Index on economic growth in this region between 2014 and 2024. Using multiple linear regression and data sourced from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and the Directorate General of Fiscal Balance, the analysis shows that capital expenditure and unemployment have a significant negative impact on economic growth, while the Human Development Index (HDI) has no significant impact. Although capital expenditure varies, the decline in unemployment indicates a change in labor market conditions. This information indicates that government efforts to increase spending on infrastructure and public services are still ineffective in driving growth. Therefore, it is recommended that the government prioritize budget allocations in productive sectors such as infrastructure, tourism, and MSME development to help small businesses grow and advance through training, capital support, and technology implementation to ensure competitiveness and sustainability. Therefore, this study is expected to provide deeper insight into the elements that influence economic growth in West Sumatra and serve as a guide for further, more comprehensive research.

This study aims to: 1) identify and analyze the degree of fiscal decentralization and the level of financial independence of regencies and cities in North Sumatra Province during the period 2015–2024; and 2) analyze the variation in regional revenue realization based on its components, as well as the variation in regional financial capacity across regencies/cities during the same period. The methods used in this research include the Fiscal Decentralization Degree Ratio (DDF), the Regional Financial Independence Ratio (RKKD), and a Two-Way ANOVA test, supported by SPSS 20 software. The findings show that the degree of fiscal decentralization remains relatively low from year to year, indicating a strong dependence on central government transfers. Similarly, the regional financial independence ratio is also categorized as low, with an instructive pattern of relationship, meaning that regional governments still have limited ability to finance development needs independently. The Two-Way ANOVA test results reveal significant differences in regional revenue realization both across regencies/cities and across years within the study period. The largest variations are attributed to the differing characteristics of each regency/city, including economic potential, effectiveness in managing locally generated revenue, and variations in regional fiscal structures. These findings highlight the importance of enhancing fiscal capacity and optimizing local revenue sources throughout North Sumatra.

This study investigates the clinical handover process as a critical component of patient safety and healthcare service quality in hospital settings. Inconsistent communication, incomplete documentation, and the absence of standardized procedures were identified as major problems contributing to communication failures and potential adverse events. The objective of this research was to develop and test a structured and effective handover model that could improve communication accuracy and documentation reliability among healthcare professionals. A mixed methods design was employed, consisting of a qualitative phase (in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis) to explore real-world handover practices, followed by a quantitative phase using a pretest–posttest design to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed model. The study proposes an integrated handover model based on SBAR-IM (Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation, Intervention, Monitoring) strengthened by Quality Control (QC) and Mutual Confirmation (MC) mechanisms. The findings demonstrate a significant improvement in handover quality after implementation, with communication scores increasing from 74 to 84.5 and documentation scores improving from 48.3 to 63.0 (p < 0.05). Qualitative results further revealed reduced communication errors, improved clarity of clinical information, and enhanced interprofessional collaboration. This study concludes that the proposed SBAR-IM–based QC–MC model is effective, practical, and suitable for improving patient safety and healthcare service quality in hospital environments.

Akuntansi Pajak dan Kebijakan Ekonomi Digital 2025 Asosiasi Riset Ekonomi dan Akuntansi Indonesia

Poverty remains a central issue in regional development, particularly in areas with pronounced economic disparities such as South Sumatra Province. This study aims to examine the effect of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) on the poverty rate across regencies and cities in South Sumatra during the period 2020–2024. A quantitative research approach was employed using panel data regression analysis, supported by descriptive statistics and classical assumption tests. The empirical findings indicate that GRDP has a negative and statistically significant effect on poverty, suggesting that an increase in regional economic capacity contributes to reducing poverty levels. However, the relatively small coefficient signifies that economic growth has not been fully inclusive and is influenced by the structural characteristics of each region. The Fixed Effect Model was identified as the most appropriate specification, highlighting the existence of heterogeneity across districts that shapes the relationship between GRDP and poverty. These results underscore the need for development strategies that not only promote economic growth but also ensure an equitable distribution of its benefits through the reinforcement of labor-intensive sectors, enhancement of human capital, and strengthening of local economic structures. The study provides valuable insights for regional policymakers in designing more effective and sustainable poverty alleviation strategies.

In the fast-moving fashion retail industry, supply chain efficiency is a key factor in operational success. Heybeb Factory Outlet, as one of the retail business actors, faces challenges in managing the flow of goods from upstream to downstream, particularly in balancing demand between offline (physical stores) and online (e-commerce/marketplace) channels. This proposal aims to design and analyze the logistics workflow starting from goods ordering (restocking) from the central warehouse, the goods receiving process, rigorous Quality Control (QC) procedures, storage in a dedicated transit warehouse, and the stock distribution mechanism (stock split) for the two sales channels. The main issues identified include the risk of overselling in one channel while stock accumulation occurs in another, as well as the potential for defective items to pass through due to an unstructured QC process. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach by mapping out an ideal Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). The expected outcome is the development of an integrated inventory management system capable of minimizing return rates caused by defective items and maximizing inventory turnover through accurate stock allocation between online and offline divisions.

This study investigates the implementation of the food security program and the establishment of independent economic pillars in Patempuran Village, Kalisat, Jember, by focusing on the central role of the Patempuran Sejahtera Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes). Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, this study explores the strategies, achievements, and challenges of program implementation in integrating two of the village's main agricultural potentials: soybean cultivation and livestock. The core finding is the formation of an Integrative Management Model in which the BUMDes acts as the primary institutional driver, synergizing the soybean and livestock sectors. The BUMDes successfully fulfills its dual function: as an economic institution (generating a net profit of approximately IDR 9 million from 1.8 hectares of soybean cultivation) and as a social institution empowering the community through job creation and additional income. This success is closely linked to the high level of active community participation, in line with Stakeholder Theory in strengthening legitimacy and a sense of shared ownership. However, implementation faces significant challenges, including irrigation constraints in hilly areas, livestock health risks, and a manual financial recording system (based on a simple Excel spreadsheet), which limits managerial capacity and full accountability. This study recommends immediate modernization of the accounting system, strategic investment in irrigation infrastructure, and strengthening intensive technical assistance to ensure long-term sustainability and equitable partner productivity.
