Accurate classification of rainfall intensity patterns is important for early warning systems, hydrometeorological risk assessment, and water resource management. Surface rain gauges have limited spatial coverage, so this study uses NOAA NEXRAD Level II radar data from the KTLX station in 2023. K-Means clustering was applied to identify rainfall intensity patterns from 30 randomly selected days, with scans stratified into four daily time intervals. Seven features were extracted from each radar sweep, including reflectivity statistics, convective and stratiform ratios, and rainfall coverage. The data were normalized and balanced before clustering. The optimal cluster count was determined through a combined evaluation of the Elbow Method, Silhouette Score, and Davies-Bouldin Index, yielding K=5 as the most representative configuration. Evaluation results demonstrated a Silhouette Score of 0.3871 and a Davies-Bouldin Index of 0.8599, indicating moderate cluster cohesion that reflects the inherent overlapping nature of rainfall intensity transitions in radar reflectivity data. The clusters represent rainfall regimes from non-precipitating conditions to intense convective events. These results support the use of K-Means for automated rainfall pattern recognition and flood forecasting applications.

The problem of urban flooding is a growing issue due to high population density, increasing volumes of plastic waste, and the reduction of water absorption areas. The use of conventional paving blocks, which are impermeable, further exacerbates flooding conditions because they do not allow water to infiltrate into the soil. This study aims to develop an innovative plastic waste-based paving block incorporating rice straw and sugarcane bagasse, along with the integration of phytoremediation concepts as a solution for urban flood mitigation. The method employed was an experimental approach involving the following stages: material preparation, plastic incineration, material mixing, molding, and testing of water absorption capacity and compressive strength. The results showed that paving blocks with a combination of plastic waste, rice straw, and sugarcane bagasse had the highest water absorption rate of 34% and compressive strength of 21 kg/cm², meeting SNI standards. The addition of natural materials containing silica was proven to enhance the material’s porosity and strength. Additionally, the application of phytoremediation using water hyacinth has the potential to improve the quality of water seeping into the soil. Thus, this phytoremediation-based paving block innovation can serve as an effective alternative solution to reduce flood risks while supporting sustainable waste management and environmental stewardship.

Chronic Coronary Syndrome (CCS) is a contemporary term that replaces stable coronary artery disease (CAD) and describes a spectrum of clinical conditions resulting from chronic abnormalities of the coronary arteries. This condition is characterized by a mismatch between myocardial oxygen supply and demand that is transient and reversible, commonly presenting as stable angina pectoris. CCS contributes significantly to global cardiovascular morbidity and mortality, including in Indonesia. The underlying pathophysiology primarily involves atherosclerosis and microvascular dysfunction leading to myocardial ischemia. Diagnosis is established through comprehensive history taking, physical examination, and both invasive and non-invasive investigations such as electrocardiography, stress testing, and cardiac imaging. Risk stratification using pre-test probability plays a crucial role in guiding further diagnostic evaluation. The management of CCS aims to relieve symptoms and prevent adverse cardiovascular events through pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches, as well as revascularization when indicated. Pharmacological therapy includes antianginal agents, antiplatelet drugs, and lipid-lowering agents, while lifestyle modifications such as smoking cessation, healthy diet, and regular physical activity are essential in preventing disease progression. With accurate diagnosis and comprehensive management, the morbidity and mortality associated with CCS can be reduced.
