The phenomenon of “nongki,” a colloquial term for hanging out, has become an integral part of today’s youth lifestyle. This activity is not only about passing the time but also functions as a medium for social interaction, idea exchange, and even content creation for social media. Among various hangout spots, coffee shops have emerged as the most favored places for young people. Coffee shops are chosen not only for their beverage and snack offerings but also for their cozy, aesthetic ambiance and supportive facilities such as Wi-Fi and power outlets. These advantages make coffee shops an ideal place for social gatherings, studying, and even working. This study aims to describe young people's preferences for coffee shops as hangout spots and analyze the factors that make them superior to other options like food stalls, city parks, or food courts. Observational findings reveal that beyond menus and location, interior design, customer service, and digital accessibility are key determinants in selecting coffee shops.

The problem of poverty is still a homework that has not been resolved by the government. Various efforts have been made, one of which is through the Family Hope Program (PKH), which is a conditional cash assistance for beneficiaries. It is said to be conditional because recipients must access education and health services using the grant funds received. However, based on information obtained from the companion, it is known that the recipients did not fully use the aid money according to its designation. This happens for various reasons, one of which is minimal income so they have to look for other sources to meet their daily needs. Therefore, this dedication is intended to provide an understanding of how to manage family finances so that whatever income is earned can be sufficient to meet life's needs, not a lifestyle. This dedication method is carried out with lectures, discussions and brainstorming with participants. The result of this service is that participants gain additional knowledge about budget planning, budget control, and distinguishing between needs and wants.

Liver dysfunction is a common health issue among the elderly and can significantly impact quality of life, particularly due to its progressive nature and frequently asymptomatic presentation in the early stages. Many older adults are unaware of liver problems, as mild symptoms such as fatigue, abdominal discomfort, or reduced appetite are often perceived as normal signs of aging. The Community Service Program (PKM) conducted at Panti Werdha Hana aimed to raise awareness among the elderly regarding the importance of early detection of liver dysfunction through SGOT and SGPT enzyme screening. This activity employed the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) approach, including laboratory examinations and interactive counseling on risk factors, healthy lifestyle practices, and the significance of regular health monitoring. Among the 76 participants, 10 individuals (13.16%) were found to have elevated SGOT levels, and 8 individuals (7.89%) had SGPT levels above the normal range. These findings underscore the importance of early detection in preventing the progression of chronic liver diseases, enhancing the quality of life of the elderly, and supporting more effective and sustainable healthcare interventions.

This research aims to understand the dynamics of social labeling of the Tasawuf Underground community in Ciputat and how this community responds to the stigma attached by society. This community consists of punk kids who previously received negative stigma due to street lifestyle, psychotropic use, and family conflicts. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method and data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The results showed that the negative labeling of punk kids is not only based on deviant behavior, but is more influenced by appearances that do not conform to dominant norms. The Tasawuf Underground Community provides a safe space for the social reintegration process through a tasawuf-based spiritual approach, moral development, and job training. The theory of labeling is used to analyze how the identity of punk kids is renegotiated through community support, behavior change, and resistance to stigma. This research concludes that the social reintegration of punk kids depends not only on individual change, but also on changing the paradigm of society in seeing the potential of the future, not the past. The Tasawuf Underground community plays an important role as a reframing agent that allows the redefinition of the identity of punk kids from being labeled deviant to socially and spiritually accepted individuals.

JUREKSI (Journal of Islamic Economics and Finance) 2025 STIKes Ibnu Sina Ajibarang

This study aims to provide an overview of the consumption patterns of Generation Z and how they relate to inflation from an Islamic economics perspective. A library research strategy is used in this investigation. Information was gathered from a number of sources, such as books, journals, and other problem-related scientific resources. The results indicate that Gen Z's consumption habits could lead to demand-pull inflation, or an increase in inflation. Prices rise when the supply cannot keep up with the substantial increase in demand for products and services brought on by consumer behavior. When Gen Z consumes technology, fashion, entertainment, and food items all of which are frequently popular and seasonal this issue becomes more noticeable. Consumption is controlled in Islamic economics to avoid becoming wasteful (tabzir) or excessive (israf). Needs (maslahah), not only wants or carnal emotions, must be the basis for consumption. The primary remedy, according to Islamic economics, is to emphasize beneficial consumption, Islamic-based money management, and bolstering social and spiritual values in order to curb consumption and prevent detrimental effects on people or the economy.

Background: Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) is a combination of physical, emotional, and behavioral symptoms that occur cyclically before menstruation and are commonly experienced by adolescent girls. Common symptoms include fatigue, abdominal pain, headaches, anxiety, and mood disturbances, which can affect sleep quality, concentration, and academic productivity. This article provides an in-depth examination of the definition, types, prevalence, causes, impacts, and management of PMS in adolescent girls. Based on epidemiological data, the prevalence of PMS is quite high, both globally and nationally, with incidence rates in Indonesia reaching 70–90% among women of reproductive age, and most cases beginning during adolescence. There are four main types of PMS: Type A (anxiety), Type H (hyperhidrosis), Type C (food cravings), and Type D (depression), each with specific characteristics and etiologies. Causes of PMS include hormonal imbalances of estrogen and progesterone, reduced serotonin levels, poor sleep quality, psychological stress, genetic factors, and unhealthy lifestyles. The impact of PMS on adolescents is complex, including decreased academic performance, social relationship disturbances, and reduced psychological well-being. Therefore, PMS management should be approached holistically through pharmacological (such as NSAIDs, antidepressants, and diuretics) and non-pharmacological (physical exercise, relaxation, lifestyle changes, and nutritional education) interventions. Environmental support and reproductive health education are crucial to help adolescents effectively manage PMS symptoms and improve their quality of life. This study is expected to serve as a foundation for promotive and preventive interventions in adolescent health care.

This study aims to examine how the tradition of manaqib contributes to the actualization of the values of Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah (Aswaja) within the society of Majalengka. As a cultural-religious heritage of Islam Nusantara, manaqib is not merely seen as a spiritual ritual, but also as a vital medium for instilling Islamic values that emphasize moderation (tawassuth), tolerance (tasamuh), balance (tawazun), and justice (i’tidal). Using a qualitative descriptive approach and literature review method, this study draws on various academic sources and journal articles. The findings reveal that manaqib plays a strategic role in shaping the spiritual character of society, strengthening traditional religious identity, and preserving social cohesion and harmony. However, the tradition faces significant challenges in the modern era, such as the rise of puritan movements and shifting societal lifestyles. Therefore, revitalization efforts through contextual approaches and the use of digital media are crucial to ensure the continued relevance and transmission of Aswaja values to future generations.

This study aims to analyze the struggle of the main character in achieving superiority in the novel Adiba by Mairisa Elvia. This struggle is rooted in the feelings of inferiority experienced by the main character since childhood. Through the individual psychology approach of Alfred Adler and qualitative descriptive methods, this research reveals the forms of the character's struggle in responding to traumatic experiences, social pressures, and inner conflicts that affect the direction of her life. Data were collected from quotes of narration, dialogue, or actions of the characters in the novel that reflect the effort to overcome feelings of helplessness and achieve meaningful life goals. Data collection techniques were conducted through careful reading and systematic note-taking of relevant parts of the text. The data were analyzed using content analysis to unveil the meanings behind actions, dialogues, and narratives related to the dynamics of the character's struggle. The research results show that the struggle towards superiority is demonstrated through hard work, a never-give-up attitude, and a drive to be beneficial to others. The main character not only struggles to overcome personal weaknesses but also shows a transformation of personality through constructive and social achievements. This process reflects an individual's journey in shaping a lifestyle and ultimate goals as compensation for the feelings of inferiority they once experienced. This study concludes that the psychological aspects in literary works can provide a deeper understanding of the motivations and personality dynamics of the characters, as well as enrich literary analysis with an interdisciplinary approach.

This study explores the role of halal certificates in increasing consumer confidence in food industry products in Indonesia. In a Muslim society and a global market that is increasingly aware of religious ethics and values, halal certificates are not only proof of halalness, but also serve as a signal of quality, safety and integrity of the producer. This research uses a qualitative approach through a literature study, by reviewing scientific articles, books, official reports, and relevant documents related to halal and consumer behavior. The results of the analysis show that halal certificates have three main roles: (1) as a credibility signal to reduce information asymmetry between producers and consumers; (2) as an instrument to reduce risk perceptions of ingredients, processes, and production ethics; and (3) as a brand communication medium that builds emotional attachment and social value. Consumers, especially millennials and Gen Z, demand halalness accompanied by transparency and education in the certification process. Halal certificates also strengthen product competitiveness in the global market, reflecting a religious lifestyle while being modern and sustainable. Therefore, industry players need to make halal certification a comprehensive brand strategy, while regulators such as BPJPH must continue to improve the transparency and effectiveness of the system.

This study analyzes Red Bull advertisements as a form of visual propaganda that effectively constructs a brand image associated with extreme sports, bravery, and extraordinary achievement. The background of this research lies in the phenomenon of the increasing prevalence of visual content in modern marketing strategies, which not only sell products but also embed ideologies and social identities. Red Bull was selected as the object of study due to its consistent use of visual elements rich in symbolic and connotative meaning. This research employs a qualitative approach using Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis method, along with theories of visual propaganda and social identity. The findings reveal that Red Bull communicates its message not merely through images and slogans, but also through the construction of deep connotative meanings. The slogan “Red Bull Gives You Wings” instills a sense of hope in surpassing one's limits, while the use of extreme sports figures as testimonials reinforces the product's image as a symbol of high performance. These advertisements create a modern myth in which Red Bull is associated with courage and freedom, transforming it from a mere energy drink into a lifestyle identity. In the context of social identity, consumers are not only purchasing a product but also affirming themselves as members of an adventurous, active, and daring community. Thus, Red Bull successfully builds brand loyalty through a strong and symbolic visual narrative. This research emphasizes that today’s advertisements are inseparable from ideological functions and the social constructions they visually shape.

Consumption of sweetened beverages contributes to increased blood glucose levels that lead to the risk of pre-diabetes and type II diabetes mellitus. Fasting blood sugar examination is an early screening tool to detect hidden metabolic disorders and educate the public about the importance of controlling sugar consumption. The examination was conducted through capillary blood sampling and point-of-care testing (POCT) analysis of 91 adult participants. Education was delivered in the form of a leaflet emphasizing the impact of sweetened beverage consumption on glucose regulation and the risk of insulin resistance. The results were classified into three categories: normal, pre-diabetes, and diabetes. The majority of participants (86.8%) were in the normoglycemic category. As many as 9.9% were classified as pre-diabetes and 3.3% were in the diabetes category. The average fasting blood sugar of the participants was 89.5 ± 20.1 mg/dL. These results emphasize the need for counseling regarding limiting the consumption of sweetened beverages to maintain stable blood glucose. Fasting blood sugar examination accompanied by education about sweetened beverages contributes to early detection of the risk of glucose disorders. Interventions based on examination results have the potential to increase awareness of fluid consumption patterns and encourage healthier lifestyle changes.   Keywords: Fasting Blood Sugar, Sugary Drinks, Pre-Diabetes, Type II Diabetes Mellitus, Nutrition Education

J-Pop music has become an important part of students’ lifestyles and plays a role in influencing their mood and learning productivity. This study employed a descriptive quantitative method by distributing an online questionnaire to 194 students who regularly listen to J-Pop while studying. Results showed that 69.8% of respondents felt their mood improved before studying when listening to this music, and 40.2% reported completing tasks more quickly. These findings indicate that J-Pop can serve as a positive stimulus to enhance motivation and focus during academic activities. However, its effects are subjective and highly dependent on individual preferences and study habits. Therefore, J-Pop has the potential to be part of an effective learning strategy if adapted to students’ personal characteristics and contexts. This study emphasizes the importance of considering psychological aspects when utilizing music as a learning aid to support students’ academic performance.
