This community service activity aims to improve transparency and accountability in the management of citizen contributions through the implementation of a digital reporting system based on Google Spreadsheet in the Seroja Home Residence 2 Complex. The problems previously faced were the limitations of the manual system which was slow, inefficient, and less transparent. This activity was carried out through a series of stages, namely identifying needs, preparing system designs, training administrators and residents, and assisting with implementation. The results of the activity showed that the digital reporting system was able to improve administrative efficiency, strengthen citizen participation, and form an open and collaborative governance culture. This activity also increases digital literacy among residents and results in social change in the form of a shift in the role of residents from recipients of information to active partners in environmental management. This finding is reinforced by recent literature showing that simple yet participatory technology can be an innovative solution in strengthening local-based community governance. This activity can be replicated in similar environments with ongoing training and mentoring support.

This study aims to analyze the level of community participation in the “Roti 7 Lapis” program (Response Time 7 Minutes of Free Fire Service) initiated by the Surabaya Fire and Rescue Department. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and Arnstein’s ladder of participation theory, the research explores citizen involvement in reporting, prevention, and early fire response. Data were collected through interviews and observations in two densely populated areas: Sidotopo Jaya and Kedung Rukem. The findings indicate that community participation has reached the "citizen control" level within the partnership stage, although it is not evenly distributed across regions. The main challenges include low public awareness, hoax reports to the 112 call center, and limited access for fire trucks due to environmental conditions. This study demonstrates that the success of the program relies not only on rapid response but also on efforts to foster meaningful community engagement. These findings contribute to the literature on participatory public policy within the context of urban emergency services.

Trade wars and protectionism have again become major issues in global economic dynamics, especially since trade tensions between the United States and China began in 2018. This research aims to analyze tariff policy as part of a protectionist strategy in the context of the political economy of bilateral trade relations. Using a qualitative approach with case studies and document analysis, data were obtained from policy reports, scientific journals, and trade statistics. The results show that tariff policies are often not purely based on economic considerations, but are also influenced by domestic political interests, industry group pressure, and global negotiation strategies. On the other hand, these policies have a significant impact on the structure of bilateral trade relations, trade volume, and global supply chains. Indonesia as a partner country is also affected, both directly through changes in export-import values, and indirectly through supply and investment disruptions. Policy implications show the importance of developing countries' preparedness in anticipating changes in global trade policies and encouraging the formulation of adaptive and competitive national strategies. This study provides recommendations for policymakers to balance national interests with global dynamics.

Waste management in urban areas such as South Jakarta remains a major challenge, particularly at the household level. This study aims to examine the role of Bank Sampah Mekar Sari in implementing circular economy principles through community-based waste management. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings show that Bank Sampah Mekar Sari functions not only as a collection point for inorganic waste but also as a center for educating and empowering residents to sort and manage waste sustainably. The practices observed, such as household-level sorting, partnerships with recycling partners, and material reuse, reflect the core principles of the circular economy. In addition, collaboration among community members, local government, and the private sector contributes to the development of a participatory waste management ecosystem. This study recommends replicating similar models in other regions and highlights the importance of regulatory and institutional support in strengthening local waste management systems.

This study examines the irreversibility of nuclear disarmament by analyzing Kazakhstan’s post-Soviet experience to identify mechanisms that constrain rearmament. Using a qualitative case study informed by Science and Technology Studies frameworks on socio-technical unmaking, the research explores discursive reframing, institutional changes, tacit knowledge erosion, material dismantlement, and governance innovations. Findings indicate that Kazakhstan’s strong political commitment, anti-nuclear identity, comprehensive international cooperation, and binding legal obligations collectively create robust barriers to reversal, while ongoing challenges include securing residual materials and managing geopolitical pressures. The study highlights the importance of multi-dimensional approaches that integrate normative drivers, sustained stewardship, adaptable agreements, and strategic partnerships to enhance enduring disarmament. These insights offer policy guidance for global efforts to reinforce irreversible pathways toward nuclear risk reduction.

Training in creating animated characters using the Scratch application serves as an introduction to block-based programming fundamentals that are simple, easy to operate, interactive, and engaging. This training offers promising competency outcomes, as students can further develop their skills through animated stories, games, or presentations. Since 2018, the Ministry of Education and Culture has promoted the integration of informatics education into the 2013 curriculum, including computational thinking skills, which are essential for both current and future generations. The partner for this community service training activity is the students of MTs Pembangunan Nurul Islam, located in Sarimulya, Setu, South Tangerang. This initiative is a tangible step toward implementing informatics learning through the introduction of block-based programming fundamentals. The training involved stages of introduction, instruction, and guidance in using the application. Based on observations and discussions with the partner school, several issues were identified in learning Information and Communication Technology (ICT). One of the causes is students’ lack of awareness of the importance of learning programming fundamentals, coupled with the stigma that programming is difficult, uninteresting, and boring. To address both technical and management issues, the proposed solutions in this community service program include: first, facilitating and providing guidance on the use of the Scratch application for MTs students, with the hope that they will understand basic programming without fear or difficulty. Second, offering engaging, interactive, simple, and easy-to-understand lessons on basic programming using Scratch, by providing example projects such as creating animated characters. The training program was implemented smoothly, and all participating students enthusiastically followed each stage of the training. Their motivation was encouraged to become familiar with programming, increasing their interest, understanding, and confidence in basic programming skills. The ultimate goal is to foster students' interest, knowledge, and skills while boosting their self-confidence in ICT learning, particularly in basic programming.

Reciprocal tariff changes imposed by the United States on its trading partner countries including Indonesia, create changes in export and import tariffs in Indonesia which result in a significant impact on the Indonesian economy, which has an impact on export and import sectors such as oil and gas, then non-oil and gas which includes processing industries, agriculture, forestry, fisheries, mining as well as consumer goods, raw / auxiliary materials, and capital goods. This research aims to analyze the impact of exports and imports in the country of Indonesia due to the reciprocal tax rate policy implemented by the United States. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of content analysis, which involves collecting data from news articles, research reports, and relevant academic publications. The results showed that the imposition of reciprocal tariffs imposed by the United States against Indonesia caused an increase in imports from 2017 to 2020 by 1.38% in the consumer goods sector. On the other hand, the export side decreased in the oil and gas sector from 2017 to 2020 by 2.37% which resulted in disruption of economic stability in the global supply chain that created inflation, and increased imports in Indonesia resulted in competing local product prices with imported products so that many Indonesian manufacturing companies reduced production and terminated employment. From this research, it is expected that Indonesia will be able to maximize the opportunities that exist from the changes and challenges of global trade.

This article discusses the profit-sharing system as one of the main pillars in Islamic economics, focusing on its ideal concept, implementation, challenges, and development opportunities in Islamic financial institutions in Indonesia. This system is based on the principles of justice, partnership, and shared responsibility through mudharabah and musyarakah contracts. Although normatively acknowledged and regulated by Islamic finance fatwas and regulations, its practical application still faces various obstacles such as low Islamic financial literacy, weak supervision, and the dominance of fixed-margin-based products. Nevertheless, digital technology development, the potential of the MSME sector, and the strengthening of Islamic financial regulations and education provide significant opportunities to promote transformation toward a more inclusive and just financial system. Therefore, synergy among financial institutions, regulators, and society is required to optimally realize the implementation of the profit-sharing system in Islamic economic practices.

This article explores the relationship between the theology of Christian Religious Education (CRE) and the Church in contributing to relevant, contextual, and transformative theological education. The Church, as a community of faith and spiritual institution, plays a strategic role in shaping theological understanding through teaching, discipleship, and ministry. Meanwhile, CRE within the formal education system is tasked with delivering Christian values through pedagogical and academic approaches. In an era shaped by secularism, pluralism, and technological advancement, both challenges and opportunities arise for CRE and the Church to collaborate meaningfully. Through literature review and theological analysis, this article identifies key challenges such as the gap between theory and practice, limited human resources, and the influence of popular culture that often contradicts Christian values. On the other hand, significant opportunities exist, including the use of digital technology, the strengthening of faith-based character education, and the implementation of contextual approaches to theological teaching. The article affirms the importance of a strategic partnership between the Church and CRE in developing theological education that not only informs the mind but also transforms lives through strong Christian character in everyday contexts.

The community service activity was carried out in Lima Puluh Subdistrict, Batu Bara Regency. The partner in this activity was the Regional Development Planning, Research, and Development Agency. The main problem faced by the partner is the absence of an official slaughterhouse building in Batu Bara Regency. Until now, only independently managed slaughterhouses owned by the community have been used as animal slaughtering facilities. However, these slaughterhouses can only accommodate a limited number of slaughters. Moreover, issues related to poor meat hygiene and cross-contamination during slaughtering and packaging processes for consumer distribution are still frequently encountered. The solution to this problem is to establish an official slaughterhouse in Batu Bara Regency that meets both administrative and technical requirements. The purpose of this activity is to provide understanding to the community and stakeholders regarding the utilization of an official slaughterhouse and the importance of having a standardized slaughterhouse. The expected outcomes of this community service activity are: (1) to increase public knowledge in Batu Bara Regency regarding the importance of RPH utilization, (2) to enhance awareness of providing meat that is Safe, Healthy, Whole, and Halal (ASUH), and (3) to provide recommendations to the local government regarding the planning and development of an official slaughterhouse.
