This research aims to analyze women's empowerment strategies to improve the quality of female journalists within the DKI Jakarta Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI). Even though the role of women in journalism has increased, significant challenges are still faced in efforts to improve the quality and competence of female journalists. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach, which involves in-depth interviews with female journalists, Head of PWI DKI Jakarta, and women's empowerment experts and document analysis related to existing training and development programs. The research results show that empowering women through technical training programs, seminars, and mentoring has proven effective in improving the journalistic skills of female journalists. In addition, support from PWI DKI Jakarta in the form of professional networks, publication opportunities, and access to information resources greatly contributes to the career development of female journalists. However, gender stereotypes and lack of representation in managerial positions remain significant obstacles. The research recommends developing empowerment programs that are more focused on specific aspects such as leadership and media management and expanding the range of support to overcome existing obstacles. With a more comprehensive approach, it is hoped that the quality of female journalists can continue to be improved so that their contribution to the world of journalism can be maximized and positively impact society.

Background: Anxiety is frequently experienced by family members of patients admitted to intensive care units (ICUs), largely due to uncertainty regarding the patient’s condition and dependence on specialized treatment. Nurses’ caring behavior is often regarded as an essential component of supportive care that may help reduce this anxiety. This study examines the association between nurses’ caring behavior and the anxiety levels of patients’ families in the ICU setting. Methods: A non-experimental research used cross sectional design was employed using purposive sampling. The study involved 30 family members of ICU patients. Data were collected using a validated caring behavior questionnaire and the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS). The Spearman rank correlation test was used for statistical analysis. Results: The findings showed a p-value of 0.505 (> 0.05), indicating that nurses’ caring behavior was not significantly associated with the anxiety levels of family members. Conclusion: Nurses’ caring behavior did not demonstrate a significant impact on family anxiety in the ICU. Nevertheless, caring practices remain an essential component of holistic nursing care, and their consistent implementation is recommended to support families during critical illness.

Street children constitute a highly vulnerable population who spend most of their time in public spaces working in the informal sector and are at increased risk of engaging in deviant behaviours. Social support and resilience are recognised as key protective factors that may enable street children to adapt to adversity. This quantitative study employed a cross-sectional correlational design to examine the association between social support and resilience among street children in Semarang City, Indonesia. A total of 42 street children were recruited using accidental sampling. Data were collected using modified Likert-type questionnaires measuring social support (social embeddedness, enacted support, and perceived support) and resilience (emotion regulation, impulse control, causal analysis, self-efficacy, realistic optimism, empathy, and reaching out). Data were analysed using univariate statistics and Spearman’s rank correlation test. Most respondents reported moderate levels of social support (90.48%) and resilience (66.67%). Spearman’s test indicated a significant, positive, yet low correlation between social support and resilience (p = 0.014; r = 0.228). These findings suggest that higher social support is associated with greater resilience, although other internal and external factors are likely to contribute to resilience among street children.

To reduce its negative impact on the environment and public health, it can be processed into valuable products such as aromatherapy candles. The purpose of this study is to study the impact of using used cooking oils and its benefits for the community of Sinarsari Village so that they can utilize this waste more sustainably and efficiently. The Tim PPK Ormawa HImasiter IPB (Student Association of Nutrition and Animal Feed) plays a significant role in promoting new innovations that benefit the community, one of which is the creation of aromatic candles with the aim of learning how to recycle used oil into useful products. Access to mental healthcare, especially psychopharmacological treatment, for people with psychosocial disabilities (ODDP) remains a significant challenge in Indonesia. Discrepancies between regulations and their implementation, coupled with limited availability of psychiatric medications, pose major obstacles. This research analyzes the collaborative efforts of the Mental Health Association (PJS) and its strategic partners in advocating for increased access to medication for ODDP. The research focuses on the stages of advocacy, the roles of each partner, the collaboration process, and the outcomes of these advocacy efforts. Employing a qualitative approach, this research involved in-depth interviews with PJS officials to explore the roles of partner institutions in advocacy. The findings reveal that PJS has systematically engaged in advocacy, collaborating with various strategic partners such as BPJS Watch, WHO Indonesia, and PDSKJI. This collaborative effort has proven effective in identifying issues, formulating solutions, and driving policy changes. However, challenges such as limited resources and the complexity of the issues persist. The research concludes that collaboration among partner institutions is key to improving access to medication, particularly psychiatric medications, for ODDP. Sustained and measurable advocacy is necessary to ensure that ODDP can obtain equitable and accessible quality mental health services.

Background: The most common site of metastases in people with breast cancer is bone metastasis. Patients with advanced phases of cancer are associated with an increased prevalence of several types of metastases, one of which is bone metastasis. Object: Assessment of the risk factors for bone metastases in patients with breast cancer. Patients and Methods: This is a retrospective study of 316 patients with breast cancer who either had bone metastases at the time of diagnosis or developed it later on. The study was carried out between January 2013 and April 2018. Three hundred and sixteen patients were assigned into two groups. In the case group, 100 patients with breast cancer had been diagnosed with bone metastasis by CT, MRI, bone scan, and PET scan; in the control group, there were 216 cases in are control group with breast cancer metastasis to sites other than bone. The questionnaire was created to record all factors (with the exception of demographic information), such as age, histopathological reading for invasive lobular carcinoma, invasive ductal carcinoma, or another type of cancer, ER status, PR status, Her2neu status, lymph node status and stage, and menopausal status. Results: The majority were 45 years of age or younger, and 96.5% of them had invasive ductal carcinoma in terms of hormonal status. Positive ER and PR status is found in 67.7% and 67.1% of the cases, respectively; 40.5% of the cases had amplified Her2neu receptors, 78.5% of the cases had positive lymph nodes, and 41.9% of the cases had (N1) stage. The highest proportion of bone metastasis was associated with negative ER and PR receptors (46.2% and 49%, respectively), while no significant statistical association (P= 0.65). Conclusion: negative ER, PR status, and Her2neu receptors not amplified, lymph node involvement, age 45 and less, infiltrating lobular carcinoma (ILC) histological type, and menopausal state are significant risk factors for bone metastasis in breast cancer.

The low participation of participants in Nadwah Usbuiyyah is caused by a lack of encouragement and ineffective management of activities. Therefore, the researcher proposes collaboration between Arabic language development institutions to exchange ideas and formulate concrete steps in creating innovative solutions. This study aims to develop a collaborative strategy design as an effort to increase the participation of participants in Nadwah Usbu’iyyah at IAIN Palopo. The involved institutions include the Language Development Unit, the Arabic Language Education Study Program, and the Student Association of the Arabic Language Education Study Program. The method used is Research & Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model, consisting of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation, conducted from August to September 2024. Data collection techniques include interviews, Focus Group Discussions (FGD), and documentation. The results indicate the validity level of the collaborative strategy design by language validators at 89% and content validators at 93%, both categorized as very valid. The FGD assessment also shows a feasibility rate of 91%, indicating that this strategy design is highly suitable for implementation in Nadwah Usbuiyyah activities.
