This study aims to assess how the development and tourism potential of Parepare City are perceived by the local community. Using a mixed-method approach (qualitative and quantitative), this research analyzes five main components (A5): Attraction, Amenities, Ancillary Services, Activities, and Accessibility, utilizing the Weighted Analysis technique (Likert Scale) to provide a structured evaluation. The findings indicate that public perceptions of tourism development vary. Artificial attractions received high ratings and are considered a key strength. Regarding amenities, the availability of places of worship was rated as the most adequate. However, in ancillary services, facilities such as clean water, electricity, and culinary services still require improvement. In terms of activities, events like festivals and recreational activities were deemed to be suboptimal in terms of implementation, management, and the involvement of local SMEs. Meanwhile, in the accessibility component, institutions such as Pokdarwis have not been effectively implemented. Therefore, a development strategy is needed that actively involves the community through training and empowerment, as well as continuous support from the government. Infrastructure improvement and regular evaluations are essential steps to enhance tourist interest in visiting Parepare City.

The condition of coral reefs in Bali, especially in Badung Regency, is severely damaged due to waste from tourism activities. Conflicts of interest between traditional fishermen and tourism operators as well as limited funding are inhibiting factors for restoration efforts. This research aims to formulate ecological empowerment strategies based on multi-stakeholder collaboration in sustainable coral reef restoration in coastel areas of Bali. The method used is a literature study with a qualitative descriptive approach that utilizes secondary data sources. Some areas such as Nusa Penida show restoration success thanks to collaboration between NGOs and local communities. SWOT analysis shows the potential for ecotourism development as an opportunity for coral reef sustainability, but the threat from climate change remains a concern. The results emphasize that cross-actor collaboration, active community participation, and the support of local values such as Tri Hata Karana can increase restoration effectiveness. The implications of this research point to the importance of community capacity building, collaborative policy support, and local wisdom-based approaches as the basis for inclusive and sustainable marine conservation strategies.

The development of tourism villages is an effective strategy to support environmental conservation and empower local communities. This study aims to describe the development of Simathani Marurup Tourism Village in Tulungagung Regency based on community empowerment. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, using four tourism village development indicators proposed by Prakoso (2022): setting, management, resources, and benefits, along with community empowerment approaches outlined by Widjajanti (2011). The findings indicate that the village has successfully utilized its geographical and cultural potential, with active community participation in management and partnerships with the government. Empowerment strategies applied include problem-based, need-based, rights-based, and asset-based approaches. The economic impact has begun to emerge, although distribution remains uneven. This study emphasizes the importance of integrating local potential with empowerment approaches to create an inclusive, participatory, and sustainable tourism village. Recommendations focus on strengthening the role of local government in training, funding, and supportive policy formulation.

This research examines tourist perceptions of the Sendangdalem rafting attraction in Kebumen Regency as a developing adventure tourism destination. Nature-based tourism, particularly adventure tourism, has experienced significant growth in line with the trend of tourists seeking authentic and challenging experiences. Through a qualitative approach with library research design, this study analyzes tourist perceptions across four main dimensions: physical aspects of the attraction, service quality, experience value, and sustainability practices. The results show that tourists positively perceive the varied and challenging river characteristics, although supporting facilities still need improvement. The experience value is formed through the integration of adventure, aesthetic, social, and educational values, with adventure value as the dominant dimension. Sustainability practices through local community involvement and conservation efforts are appreciated, but waste management and sanitation infrastructure still require improvement. The research implications emphasize the importance of infrastructure development with an environmentally friendly approach, capacity building for local guides, diversification of tourism products, and strengthening ecotourism narratives in marketing.

Indonesia has three types of heritage: Cultural Heritage, Natural Heritage, and Saujana Heritage. Cultural Heritage includes unique works from more than 500 ethnic groups, while Natural Heritage is a distinctive natural form. Saujana Heritage is a combination of culture and nature in one unit. This study involved 150 respondents and 2 stakeholders who participated in this study. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The findings of this study are that the preservation of Balinese heritage through digital media faces challenges such as the digital divide, which affects the distribution of cultural information in remote areas in Bali. In addition, maintaining cultural integrity in the digitalization process is important to ensure that original cultural values are not lost. The main challenges in using digital technology to preserve Balinese culture include the digital divide, cultural resistance to new technologies, and the lack of digital literacy among local communities. There are great opportunities in increasing global access to Balinese culture, innovation in cultural tourism, and the development of digital platforms that can promote and preserve Balinese cultural heritage more widely and effectively. The use of social media and tourism applications has proven effective in promoting and preserving Balinese cultural heritage. Social media such as Instagram and Facebook can be used to showcase cultural rituals or traditional ceremonies in real-time, while mobile applications can provide detailed information about Balinese cultural sites.

Egon mountain possesses significant potential as an ecotourism destination due to its breathtaking landscapes, unique geological formations, and rich biodiversity. This study examines key aspects influencing its tourism development, including accessibility, facilities, and attractions. Findings indicate that while Egon mountain offers a remarkable adventure experience, challenges such as limited infrastructure, inadequate sanitation, and minimal safety measures hinder its growth as a sustainable tourist site. Visitors often rely on self-preparation and local guides to navigate the trails safely. However, the presence of an active volcanic crater, natural hot springs, diverse flora and fauna, and cultural significance make it an attractive destination. To enhance its tourism appeal, strategic management efforts focusing on infrastructure improvements, environmental sustainability, and local community engagement are essential. By addressing these challenges, Egon mountain can develop into a sustainable ecotourism site that balances conservation with enriching visitor experiences.

Tourism development must be able to provide benefits for local communities and tourists One of the benefits for local communities who participate in tourism, is to obtain income from tourism, and the protection of tourism assets in their villages. Tourism development in Magelang Regency refers to the decision of the Ministry of Tourism with the Ministry of SOEs which designates Borobudur Temple as one of the priority destinations developed in Indonesia. The government has a program to develop villages around Borobudur Temple with the aim of the community benefiting from tourism. Every state-owned company participates in developing tourism in the Borobudur area through the Village Economic Center (Balkondes) program. The development of Balkondes in the Borobudur Temple Area uses a community based tourism (CBT) model. Balkondes are managed by the surrounding community in each village to support the village economy and the welfare of the community itself through nature conservation, development of village attractions, preservation of traditions, customs and culture held by the community. Broadly speaking, community involvement and participation are key factors in the success of the implementation of community-based tourism. Community participation is a process in which the community becomes aware of supporting the situation they are facing and trying to find solutions to overcome the problems they face.

This study aims to examine the socialization of the role of Karang Taruna (youth organization) in supporting tourism development in the area. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach through field observation and interviews with local youths involved in Karang Taruna. The results indicate that Karang Taruna contributes to managing ticketing, maintaining the cleanliness of the site, and initiating promotional efforts through social media. Tourism plays an important role in shaping the economic development of cities and communities. Heritage sites have a major impact on the economy, making an important contribution to economic growth and development. 3D digital conservation, apart from being useful for preserving historical heritage, also functions as promotional media by utilizing the Internet of Things (IoT). By making 3D models of historical heritage objects, apart from preserving cultural heritage sites, they are also used as promotional media to increase tourism and economic benefits for the community. From the results obtained, it can show satisfactory results. The 3D shape created can provide an overview and information about the geometric shape and condition of the heritage building site, which is quite well captured. The hope is that this can provide information and attract tourists to visit the historical site, namely "Mount Wudel" in Jepara. Making 3D models will of course increase their attractiveness and also serve as a medium for digital conservation.

This study explores the potential of community-based tourism in Bili Bante, including aspects of natural beauty, cultural diversity, and ecotourism. The observations show that around 75% of the tourist areas in Bili Bante are still preserved with minimal environmental pollution, making it a potential destination for ecotourism development. In addition, the cultural diversity of the local community, including traditional traditions, traditional music, and handicrafts, can be a strong tourist attraction. The interviews with local people revealed that 60% support the development of community-based tourism to improve the local economy, although 40% are concerned about the negative impacts on the environment if tourism management is not carried out carefully. The main obstacles identified are inadequate infrastructure and lack of destination promotion. Based on these findings, this study recommends increasing investment in infrastructure development, training for local people, and developing more effective marketing strategies. In addition, clear regulations regarding natural resource management and environmental conservation must be enforced to support the sustainability of tourism development in Bili Bante.

The development of digital technology has transformed how governments communicate with the public. Effective communication through digital media is key to increasing public participation in various government programs. This study analyzes digital communication strategies that can enhance community engagement. The use of social media, the development of digital tourism, and the dissemination of policies through digital platforms play an essential role in strengthening interactions between the government and society. Additionally, communication strategies in public transportation, the transition from analog to digital television broadcasting, and synergy in social activities also contribute to the effectiveness of government communication. An appropriate digital communication strategy should not only be informative but also interactive to build trust and enhance public engagement more effectively.
