This study examines the role of the Karawang Cerdas Scholarship in fostering students’ responsibility and learning motivation in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) among 11th-grade students at MAN 2 Karawang. The study was motivated by the importance of developing responsibility and learning motivation as essential objectives of Islamic education while exploring the scholarship’s contribution beyond financial assistance. A qualitative case study approach was employed, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving scholarship recipients, PAI teachers, and program administrators. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the Karawang Cerdas Scholarship strengthens students’ academic responsibility, discipline, compliance with school regulations, awareness of maintaining the school’s reputation, and accountability in utilizing scholarship funds through the Statement of Absolute Responsibility (SPTJM). The program also enhances learning motivation, reflected in increased enthusiasm, active classroom participation, sustained academic achievement, and clearer educational goals. These improvements contribute to higher attendance, better PAI learning outcomes, fewer disciplinary violations, and the development of positive character traits. The study concludes that the Karawang Cerdas Scholarship functions not only as financial assistance but also as an effective instrument for character development and learning motivation.

This community service program aims to improve the Islamic character and morals of adolescents through religious development activities based on active community participation. This program is implemented using an Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach that emphasizes the utilization of local assets and potential, such as support from religious leaders, mosque facilities, and youth enthusiasm. The implementation method includes observation, participatory planning, implementation of development activities such as prayers, religious sermons, and worship habits, as well as joint evaluation. The results of the activities show an increase in adolescent participation in religious activities, changes in behavior towards a more positive direction, and increased spiritual and social awareness. In addition, this activity has an impact on strengthening community solidarity and creating a more religious and harmonious environment. Thus, the ABCD approach is effective in optimizing local potential to support the development of Islamic character in adolescents in a sustainable manner.

This research is motivated by the existence of legal pluralism in marriage regulations in Indonesia before the enactment of Law Number 1 of 1974 concerning Marriage. During that period, marriage provisions were influenced by various legal systems, namely customary law, Islamic law, and colonial laws such as the Burgerlijk Wetboek, whose application was based on population classification. This condition gave rise to various problems, including legal uncertainty, differing standards for marriage validity, and weak protection of the rights of women and children. Based on these problems, this study aims to examine the development of marriage law in Indonesia, both before and after the enactment of the Marriage Law, and to assess the extent to which these regulations have been able to achieve legal unification and certainty within the national legal system. The method used is qualitative-normative research with a literature study approach through analysis of relevant laws and regulations, historical documents, and scientific literature. The results indicate that before 1974, the marriage legal system was complex and unintegrated, necessitating a comprehensive codification. The process of drafting this law was lengthy and marked by ideological debate and religious considerations. However, an agreement was ultimately reached that accommodated both religious values and state interests. Subsequent developments, including amendments through Law Number 16 of 2019, confirm that marriage law in Indonesia is dynamic in responding to demands for justice, human rights, and gender equality.

Marriage in Islamic law constitutes a sacred covenant (mīthāqan ghalīẓan) that carries theological, social, and juridical dimensions. Within this framework, the guardian (walī nikāḥ) plays a pivotal role whose legal status has long been contested across Islamic jurisprudential schools. This study examines the authority of the marriage guardian from three analytical layers: its doctrinal construction across the four major madhabs, its codification in Indonesian positive law, and its practical implementation in religious court jurisprudence. Employing a normative legal research method, this study draws on conceptual, statutory, and case approaches, with primary legal materials comprising Qur’anic verses, prophetic traditions, Law No. 1 of 1974, the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI), and Ministerial Regulation (PMA) No. 30 of 2024. The findings reveal fundamental differences among the madhabs: the Shāfi‘ī, Mālikī, and Ḥanbalī schools treat the guardian as an essential pillar (rukun) of the marriage contract, whereas the Ḥanafī school views guardianship as a complementary element based on the concept of legal capacity (ahliyyah). Indonesian positive law, through Article 19 of the KHI, adopts the Shāfi‘ī position by designating the guardian as an obligatory rukun. The study further finds that the mechanisms of walī ‘aḍal (recalcitrant guardian) and wakalah al-walī (delegation of guardianship) serve as legal instruments that reconcile formal-procedural requirements with practical social needs, thereby affirming that guardianship norms function both as a religious requirement and as a state-administered mechanism for protecting women’s rights in marriage.

The phenomenon of broken home families among elementary school students has become a significant social and psychological issue affecting learning motivation, emotional stability, character development, and academic achievement. This study aims to analyze the relationship between incomplete family conditions and students’ learning motivation, as well as the role of cognitive resilience, social support, and the school environment in maintaining academic achievement among students at MI Al Ikhlas Ancaran. Specifically, this study examines: (1) students’ cognitive conditions and learning motivation, (2) factors influencing cognitive resilience, (3) the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in supporting learning motivation, and (4) Islamic value-based strategies to strengthen students’ cognitive resilience and learning motivation. This study employed a qualitative descriptive approach using observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The participants included students from broken home families, Islamic Religious Education teachers, and homeroom teachers. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, while validity was ensured through source and method triangulation. The findings indicate that students from broken home families generally possess relatively good cognitive resilience, enabling them to adapt to academic challenges and manage emotional stress effectively. Their learning motivation was categorized as moderate to good, reflecting strong internal encouragement to achieve despite family difficulties. The study also found that Islamic value-based strategies effectively strengthen cognitive resilience and learning motivation. Furthermore, a positive relationship exists between cognitive resilience and learning motivation, where higher resilience contributes to stronger learning motivation. Supportive family environments, madrasah settings, and positive peer relationships were identified as important factors in enhancing students’ resilience and academic motivation.

This study aims to determine the implementation process of the talaqqi method in teaching tajwid in Islamic Religious Education subjects and the obstacles encountered in its implementation at SD Negeri 57 Buton. This research used a qualitative approach with descriptive research type. The subjects of the study were Islamic Religious Education teachers and 23 fifth grade students. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques consisted of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the implementation of the talaqqi method was carried out through several stages: the teacher first demonstrated the correct recitation of the Qur'an, students listened carefully, and then students imitated the recitation both collectively and individually. The talaqqi method helps teachers directly correct students' recitation mistakes, thereby improving students' tajwid skills. The obstacles found include differences in students' Qur'an reading abilities, limited learning time, and lack of practice at home. To overcome these obstacles, the teacher provided additional guidance and motivated students to practice reading the Qur'an more frequently.

This study aims to enhance the academic synergy of the Quranic Studies and Exegesis Program at IAIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo in supporting Quranic literacy mentoring activities for coastal communities in Oluhuta Village, Bone Bolango Regency. The study is motivated by the low level of Quranic literacy in coastal areas, which is influenced by limited access to religious education and a shortage of competent mentors. This condition is further exacerbated by the fact that most residents of Oluhuta Village are fishermen who spend much of their lives at sea, limiting opportunities for structured learning. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study explores the role of lecturers and students from the Quranic Studies and Exegesis Department in planning, implementing, and evaluating a mentoring program aimed at strengthening basic skills in reading and writing the Quran. The findings show that interdisciplinary academic synergy, particularly in tajwid, tahsin, and Quranic teaching methodologies, significantly improves participants’ Quranic literacy skills. In addition, the program strengthens the relationship between Islamic higher education institutions, particularly IAIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo, and the surrounding community. It also serves as a medium for implementing academic integration and community service values. This study recommends the development of an integrated and context-based Quranic mentoring model for similar coastal communities in other regions.

This article examines the implementation of a sharia financial literacy education program aimed at supporting community economic development at the Balai Perkumpulan Sub PPKBD Tambakkemerakan, Krian, driven by the persistently low level of community literacy regarding Islamic finance concepts and practices, which has the potential to impede the optimization of Islamic principles-based economic well-being. Employing the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, this study engaged community members actively throughout the processes of problem identification, program implementation, and evaluation, with activities conducted through socialization sessions, interactive discussions, and practical demonstrations of sharia-compliant financial management in real-life contexts. The findings indicate a measurable improvement in community comprehension of Islamic finance fundamentals, including the prohibition of riba (usury/interest), the importance of financial planning, and the utilization of sharia-compliant financial institutions, alongside observable attitudinal shifts toward more prudent and Islamically normative financial behavior. These outcomes suggest that the program contributes positively to fostering community economic independence and strengthening the application of Islamic economic principles at the household level.

This community service activity aims to instill religious values in the students at TPQ Miftakhul Huda by establishing the habit of praying before and after wudu, as an effort to transform worship practices from mere physical routines into profound spiritual experiences. Using the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, this program is carried out through five main stages: discovery, dream, design, define, and do. The results of the activity indicate that through intensive demonstration and practical guidance, the students experienced significant improvement in discipline, awareness of maintaining purity, and moral responsibility as manifestations of Muslim character from an early age. Integrating prayer into the wudu practice has proven effective as an educational tool in building the foundation of faith from an early age, or the “golden age.” The synergy between the student team, educators, and the utilization of institutional facilities proved effective in establishing operational standards for character education that comprehensively integrate physical, mental, and theological aspects. Thus, the practice of wudu prayer serves as a strategic educational tool in strengthening children’s foundational faith during the golden age amidst the challenges of shifting global values.

Ngabuburit has grown into a cultural tradition that is deeply embedded in Indonesian society during Ramadan, including among the student demographic. This study investigates the relevance of the ngabuburit tradition to the level of consumer economic literacy and the application of Islamic consumption ethics among university students in the city of Bandung. Employing a quantitative descriptive approach, data were gathered through an online questionnaire distributed to students from various universities across Bandung. The analysis aims to determine whether the pre-iftar waiting activity stimulates impulsive purchasing behavior more strongly than awareness of Islamic consumption principles particularly the avoidance of wasteful spending (tabzir) and extravagance (israf). The study also examines several factors shaping students' consumption patterns, including social environment, lifestyle tendencies, and access to food and beverage products throughout Ramadan. The results are expected to shed light on how students behave as consumers within a local cultural framework and to what degree their economic literacy can moderate consumption behaviors that contradict Islamic principles, while providing an evaluative foundation for cultivating more prudent consumption habits.

The background of this research is based on the importance of Sharia-based social financing in assisting people in need without involving elements of riba, while ensuring that its practices remain aligned with Islamic economic law principles. This study aims to analyze the implementation of qard financing at the Masjid Raya Bintaro Jaya Amil Zakat Institution (MRBJ) and to examine its compliance with the provisions set by the Dewan Syariah Nasional Majelis Ulama Indonesia, through Fatwa Number 19/DSN-MUI/IV/2001 concerning Al-Qard. This research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and documentation. The research subjects consist of zakat institution administrators and beneficiaries. (mustahiq) of the Qard Financing Program. The results indicate that the implementation of Qard financing at MRBJ has been carried out as a form of community economic empowerment, with a relatively simple distribution mechanism oriented toward the needs of the mustahiq. However, in practice, there are still several aspects that have not been optimal, particularly in terms of assistance and monitoring for the beneficiaries. Therefore, this study concludes that although qard financing at MRBJ. provides significant social benefits, there is a need to enhance Sharia understanding and improving institutional governance to ensure optimal implementation in accordance with the principles established by the DSN-MUI fatwa with the principles established by the DSN-MUI fatwa.

This article discusses ethical values in the philosophy of Islamic education as a response to contemporary challenges, such as moral crisis, declining character, and identity confusion. This study uses a literature review method with a philosophical and normative approach, based on Islamic teachings and the thoughts of educational figures. The results show that the philosophy of Islamic education contains important values such as monotheism, justice, responsibility, honesty, and good morals. These values are interconnected and play a significant role in shaping human personality. In addition to serving as a theoretical foundation, these values also function as guidelines in educational practice aimed at forming a complete human being (insan kamil). In the modern era, which is influenced by globalization and technological development, the application of Islamic ethical values is highly important to maintain a balance between intellectual intelligence and spiritual maturity. Therefore, the philosophy of Islamic education remains relevant as a solution for creating an education system that is not only intellectually advanced but also character-based and morally grounded. This study emphasizes that Islamic education needs to be directed toward the formation of moral awareness, the strengthening of spirituality, and the development of students’ social responsibility in daily life.

Religious culture that is still quite strong in the community is an important capital in the implementation of youth development programs. However, the influence of social media, promiscuity, and the lack of religious activities that are attractive to the younger generation have led to a decrease in adolescents' interest in religious activities in mosques. Therefore, this research aims to form the character of discipline, responsibility, and cooperation in the group through Islamic hadrah art activities. This study uses the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) method, which is a community empowerment approach that focuses on the strengths and potentials possessed by the community, not on existing shortcomings or problems. In this approach, the community is invited to identify various assets they have, such as human resources, local institutions, cultural values, and social networks that can be used to overcome the problems they face. The results of the study showed that the adolescent participants experienced improved skills in playing hadrah and understanding of religious values. In addition, there has been a change in behavior towards being more disciplined, active, and caring for religious activities in the mosque environment.

. This study aims to analyze the role of field surveys in the verification process of mustahik as an effort to enhance accountability in zakat management at BAZNAS Kabupaten Tegal. Zakat management in modern institutions requires accurate targeting to ensure that distribution aligns with Islamic principles and effectively addresses social welfare issues. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, and literature study as data collection techniques. The findings reveal that field surveys serve as a primary instrument in validating administrative data by directly observing the socio-economic conditions of prospective beneficiaries. This process enables more accurate and objective decision-making in determining mustahik eligibility. Furthermore, field surveys contribute significantly to improving transparency, accountability, and the precision of zakat distribution. However, the implementation of field surveys faces several challenges, including limited human resources, time constraints, and the potential for subjective assessment. Despite these limitations, field surveys remain a crucial operational mechanism in ensuring accountable zakat management. This study highlights the importance of strengthening survey implementation through capacity building and the integration of information technology to improve efficiency and data accuracy.
