This study aims to determine the implementation process of the talaqqi method in teaching tajwid in Islamic Religious Education subjects and the obstacles encountered in its implementation at SD Negeri 57 Buton. This research used a qualitative approach with descriptive research type. The subjects of the study were Islamic Religious Education teachers and 23 fifth grade students. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques consisted of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the implementation of the talaqqi method was carried out through several stages: the teacher first demonstrated the correct recitation of the Qur'an, students listened carefully, and then students imitated the recitation both collectively and individually. The talaqqi method helps teachers directly correct students' recitation mistakes, thereby improving students' tajwid skills. The obstacles found include differences in students' Qur'an reading abilities, limited learning time, and lack of practice at home. To overcome these obstacles, the teacher provided additional guidance and motivated students to practice reading the Qur'an more frequently.

Limited competence among teachers in systematically managing scientific references remains one of the main challenges in producing high-quality scientific writing. This community service activity aims to enhance the competence of Biology MGMP teachers in Sidoarjo in reference management through a Smart Referencing approach using the Mendeley application as a Reference Management System. The methods employed include training sessions, hands-on practice, and mentoring in the use of Mendeley, covering installation, library management, and the automatic integration of citations and bibliographies into scientific documents. The evaluation of the activity was conducted through questionnaire distribution to measure participants’ improvement in understanding and skills. The analysis results indicate that several technical aspects, such as the use of the Mendeley plugin in Microsoft Word (score = 3.40) and the overall ease of use of the application (score = 3.00), fall into the high category on a maximum scale of 4. This suggests that although the application is perceived as useful, there is still a need for initial adaptation in its usage. Furthermore, the overall mean score of all questionnaire items is 3.74, with a satisfaction index of 93.5%, which falls into the very high category. These findings indicate that the Mendeley-based Smart Referencing training received very positive responses and was effective in improving participants’ understanding and skills in reference management for scientific writing.

The Labor-Intensive Housing Program is one of the Surabaya City Government’s policies aimed at reducing poverty and unemployment through labor-intensive community empowerment. This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of the Labor-Intensive Housing Program (RPK) at the Pitstop business unit in Lidah Kulon Village, Lakarsantri Subdistrict, Surabaya City. This study employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, utilizing Van Meter and Van’s policy implementation theory. Primary data were collected through interviews and observations, while secondary data were derived from official documents and relevant publications. The results showed that the implementation of the Pitstop Labor Intensive Housing Program has not yet been optimal. In terms of policy standards and objectives, the program’s goals have been clearly defined but have not yet been fully achieved. Regarding resources, the availability of facilities and funding is adequate, but there are still limitations in human resources, particularly skilled technicians in the automotive repair field. Inter organizational communication has taken place but has not been intensive enough to support business sustainability. Characteristics of the implementing agents indicate that the structure of the Labor-Intensive Housing team has been clearly defined; however, implementation in the field has not been optimal due to weak coordination and communication. Economic, social, and political conditions-such as a less-than-strategic business location and high competition from similar businesses-have also contributed to the low number of customers. Meanwhile, the disposition of the implementers demonstrates a positive attitude in supporting the Labor-Intensive Housing program. The Labor-Intensive Housing Program must be supported by professional mechanics through education, certification, and collaboration with the private sector and training institutions to ensure the quality of services. In addition, building public trust, coordination among stakeholders, and intensive support through monitoring and evaluation are key to the success and sustainability of the Labor-Intensive Housing Program.

In the education system, learning evaluation plays a fundamental role in measuring students' academic competency achievement. This study was designed to comprehensively examine the importance of high-quality learning instruments and the strategic role of assessment frameworks in ensuring the instrument's alignment with the formulated learning objectives. A qualitative, descriptive approach based on a literature review was used. The study's findings indicate that assessment frameworks serve as a framework or blueprint capable of validly and reliably mapping competencies, material coverage, and assessment weighting. Systematic implementation of assessment frameworks has been proven to increase the transparency and accountability of evaluations, while also supporting educators in integrating Islamic values into the context of Islamic Religious Education (PAI). However, its implementation still faces obstacles, including limited teacher competency in developing Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS)-based questions, as well as constraints related to time and resource availability.

This study investigates the use of oral corrective feedback (OCF) in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classrooms among Indonesian university students, with a particular focus on lecturers’ preferences and students’ perceptions. The research addresses three main aspects: the types of errors that are corrected, the strategies of OCF employed, and the timing of feedback delivery. A qualitative case study design was adopted, involving classroom observations, semi-structured interviews with lecturers, and open-ended questionnaires distributed to students. Data from these instruments were analyzed separately and then triangulated to ensure credibility and validity. The findings reveal that lecturers mainly prioritize correcting phonological and grammatical errors, as these are perceived to directly influence students’ communicative competence and overall speaking performance. Among the six OCF types proposed by Lyster and Ranta (1997), recast and repetition emerged as the most frequently used strategies. These approaches were favored by lecturers as they corrected learners subtly while minimizing the risk of embarrassment and maintaining the flow of communication. Furthermore, lecturers applied both immediate and delayed feedback depending on the classroom context and learning objectives. From the students’ perspective, OCF was generally viewed positively, as it contributed to raising awareness of errors and fostering speaking improvement. Students particularly appreciated feedback strategies that respected their confidence and speaking flow. Overall, the study underscores the importance of aligning teacher practices with student preferences to maximize the effectiveness of oral corrective feedback in EFL learning contexts.

This study aims to examine the effects of applying a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) method combined with PhET simulation tools on enhancing critical thinking skills among eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 4 Singaraja when learning vibration and wave topics. It adopted a quasi-experimental approach with a Pretest-Posttest setup and non-equivalent control group design. The participant cohort comprised 75 students distributed across two groups: the treatment group (n=38) who engaged in learning activities using PBL supplemented by PhET simulation, and the comparison group (n=37) who received PBL instruction without PhET simulation support. Data collection was conducted through essay-type assessment instruments containing 7 questions designed to evaluate critical thinking competencies based on Ennis' theoretical framework. Data processing employed descriptive statistical analysis, N-Gain Score computation and ANCOVA testing were conducted at a 0.05 significance level. Results showed the treatment group's average Posttest score at 84, compared to 66 for the control group. The ANCOVA produced an F-value of 103.701 (p < 0.001), confirming a statistically significant difference in critical thinking skills between the groups. The adjusted mean Posttest scores were 83.99 for the treatment group and 66.01 for the comparison group, reflecting a differential of 17.99 points. Consequently, the findings substantiate that the integration of PBL with PhET simulation demonstrates greater effectiveness in fostering students' critical thinking skills in comparison to conventional PBL implementation without technology-enhanced simulation assistance.

This study was conducted with the aim of explaining the influence of the project based learning model assisted by four square on the ability to write argumentative texts of class XI students of SMA Negeri 12 Semarang and its implications in learning to write. The method used in this study is a quantitative quasi-experimental approach with the nonequivalent posttest-only control group design. This design was chosen to determine the difference in the ability to write argumentative texts between students taught using the project based learning model assisted by four square and students taught with ordinary or conventional learning models. The results of the study showed that there was an influence of the project based learning model assisted by four square on students' argumentative text writing skills through the non-parametric Mann-Whitney U test of 115.500, a Z value of -4.973, and a significance value (Asymp. Sig. 2-tailed) of <0.001. Because the significance is smaller than 0.05, the null hypothesis (H₀) is rejected. It can be said that there was a significant difference between the results of the argumentative text writing test of students in the experimental class and the control class. Based on this, the application of the project based learning model assisted by four square can be used as an alternative learning model that has a positive influence on the ability to write argumentative texts of class XI students and has implications for writing learning.
