This research started from the difference in understanding of mathematical concepts found in students in grades XI-1 of SMA Kanjeng Sepuh Sidayu. The main purpose of this study is to analyze students' understanding of mathematical concepts based on extroverted and introverted personalities, with an ethnomathematical approach on the building of the Kanjeng Sepuh Sidayu Mosque. The research subjects consisted of four students who were selected with two personality categories, namely two students with introverted personalities and two students with extroverted personalities, which were determined through a personality questionnaire. Data collection techniques were carried out using questionnaires to find out personality types, mathematical concept understanding tests, and in-depth interviews to further explore students' understanding. The results showed that there were significant differences in the understanding of mathematical concepts between students with introverted and extroverted personalities. Students with introverted personalities show good ability to meet indicators 1, 3, and 5. This indicator includes the ability to restate a concept, provide examples and non-examples of a concept, and apply concepts or logarithms in problem solving. Students with extroverted personalities, on the other hand, excel in indicators 1, 2, and 4. This indicator includes the ability to restate a concept, classify objects according to the concept, and use and choose certain procedures or operations in solving problems. This study provides insight that the understanding of mathematical concepts is not only influenced by cognitive abilities alone, but also by students' personality factors. Introverted and extroverted personalities affect the way they absorb and apply mathematical concepts. Therefore, it is important for educators to pay attention to these differences in designing teaching approaches that suit the characteristics of the students.

Hashimoto's thyroiditis (HT) is an autoimmune disorder that leads to thyroid dysfunction and chronic inflammation, often resulting in hypothyroidism. The exact mechanisms driving HT are not fully understood, but recent research has highlighted the potential role of various molecular markers in the disease’s pathogenesis. This study investigated the roles of miRNA-375, miRNA-451, and interleukin-6 (IL-6) in HT. Serum samples were collected from 100 HT patients and 100 healthy controls, and their expression levels were analyzed using quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The results revealed significant alterations in the levels of these molecules. miRNA-375 was significantly elevated in HT patients (5.85 ± 1.30 vs. 1.0, p < 0.001), while miRNA-451 was markedly reduced (1.43 ± 0.22 vs. 10.91 ± 2.44, p < 0.001). Additionally, IL-6 levels were found to be significantly higher in HT patients (115.79 ± 12.62 vs. 21.34 ± 4.03 pg/ml, p < 0.001). These findings suggest that these molecules play critical roles in the immunopathogenesis of HT. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis further confirmed that miRNA-375, miRNA-451, and IL-6 are excellent diagnostic markers, with area under the curve (AUC) values ranging from 0.956 to 1.000. miRNA-375 showed 96% sensitivity and specificity at a cutoff >1.66-fold, while miRNA-451 demonstrated 100% sensitivity and specificity at a cutoff <3.48-fold. IL-6 also exhibited perfect diagnostic accuracy with 100% sensitivity and specificity at a cutoff >53.73 pg/ml. No significant variations were observed across demographic or treatment subgroups, supporting the stability of these biomarkers in clinical applications. These findings suggest that miRNA-375, miRNA-451, and IL-6 are dysregulated in HT and could serve as reliable biomarkers for diagnosis and potential therapeutic targets, offering new strategies for the management of Hashimoto’s thyroiditis.

This study compares the performance of two deep learning models, namely Convolutional Long Short-Term Memory (ConvLSTM) and Long-term Recurrent Convolutional Network (LRCN), in the task of recognizing human activity from videos. Human activity recognition is an important field in computer vision with many applications, such as security monitoring, human-computer interaction, and social media-based video analysis. ConvLSTM is a model that combines convolution operations with long-term memory LSTM, thus capable of capturing spatial and temporal information simultaneously. This approach is ideal for processing video data sequences that have spatial and temporal dimensions. On the other hand, LRCN combines the power of spatial feature extraction from Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and temporal sequence modeling through Recurrent Neural Network (RNN), specifically LSTM, to understand movement patterns in videos. The study used the UCF50 dataset consisting of 50 activity classes, but was limited to five classes for the focus of the experiment. The dataset was divided into 80% for training and 20% for testing, and the model was drilled for 50 epochs using early stopping to prevent overfitting. The results show that both models have high training performance. ConvLSTM achieved a training accuracy of around 98% and a validation accuracy of 90%, while LRCN achieved a training accuracy of 99.5% and a validation accuracy of 88%. Although ConvLSTM demonstrated good stability on the validation data, further testing using TikTok videos as real-world data showed that LRCN had a higher confidence level in recognizing activities, with most predictions achieving confidence scores above 80%. This difference in performance indicates that while ConvLSTM excels in generalizing on training data, LRCN is more robust to real-world data variations.

Ultraviolet (UV) radiation has been known to cause various adverse effects on the skin, including erythema (commonly referred to as sunburn), premature aging, and, with prolonged exposure, the risk of developing skin cancer. To counteract these harmful effects, sunscreen products are commonly used to protect the skin from UV radiation. The development of natural-based sunscreens is gaining attention due to their potential safety and antioxidant benefits. One promising natural ingredient is thyme (Thymus vulgaris L.), a medicinal herb that contains several secondary metabolites such as flavonoids, alkaloids, and tannins. These compounds possess antioxidant and free radical scavenging properties, making them suitable candidates as active ingredients in sunscreen formulations. This study aims to determine the Sun Protection Factor (SPF) value of thyme herb extract using the UV-Vis spectrophotometric method. A qualitative approach was used to assess the photoprotective potential of the extract. The SPF values were measured at three different concentrations of the extract: 0.5%, 0.75%, and 1.0%. The absorbance of each concentration was recorded at wavelengths ranging from 290 nm to 400 nm using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The SPF values were then calculated based on the absorbance data processed using Microsoft Excel. The results revealed that the thyme herb extract exhibited high SPF values at all tested concentrations. Specifically, the SPF values obtained were 36.027 for 0.5%, 36.244 for 0.75%, and 36.516 for 1.0% concentration. All three concentrations fall under the "ultra protection" category, indicating strong UV protective potential. These findings suggest that thyme herb extract can be effectively utilized as a natural active ingredient in the formulation of sunscreen products. Further studies are recommended to explore its stability, safety, and efficacy in topical applications.

The lips are one of the most sensitive parts of the body and are highly vulnerable to damage from ultraviolet (UV) radiation from sunlight. Unlike other parts of the skin, the lips lack oil glands, making them more prone to dryness, chapping, and inflammation when not properly protected. One common method to maintain lip moisture and health is the use of lip balm. Natural lip balms made from ingredients such as beeswax and coconut oil are widely used due to their excellent emollient properties, which help moisturize and provide a protective layer on the surface of the lips. However, using natural lip balm alone may not be sufficient to offer complete protection, particularly against the harmful effects of UV rays. Therefore, innovation is needed by incorporating Sun Protection Factor (SPF) into natural lip balm formulations to enhance protection from sun exposure. This study aims to evaluate the effect of adding SPF to lip balm formulations based on beeswax and coconut oil, focusing on UV protection effectiveness, product stability, and moisturizing ability. The method involved formulating two types of lip balm—one with SPF and one without. UV protection effectiveness was tested using in vitro spectrophotometry, while moisturizing ability was assessed by measuring skin moisture content on the lips. In addition, physical characteristics such as texture, color, and stability under various storage conditions were analyzed. The results showed that the lip balm with added SPF provided significantly higher UV protection compared to the formulation without SPF. Furthermore, the addition of SPF did not reduce the moisturizing performance of beeswax and coconut oil and did not interfere with the overall product stability. In conclusion, integrating SPF into natural lip balm formulations is an effective innovation to enhance the protective function of lip care products without compromising their moisturizing benefits or user comfort. This combination provides a holistic solution for maintaining lip health while preventing UV-induced damage.

Delivery delays pose a major challenge in the e-commerce industry, often leading to decreased customer satisfaction and negatively impacting business operations. In this study, the XGBoost (Extreme Gradient Boosting) algorithm is applied to predict delivery delays based on a dataset containing 96,476 records. These records include various features relevant to the delivery process, such as shipping distance, carrier performance, and order characteristics. The model achieves a high overall accuracy of 93.24%, indicating strong general performance. In particular, XGBoost demonstrates excellent results in predicting on-time deliveries, achieving a precision of 93% and a recall of 100%. However, the model struggles to correctly identify delayed deliveries. The recall for delayed deliveries is 0%, and the F1-score is extremely low at 0.01. This significant discrepancy reveals a critical limitation in the model's performance — the inability to detect minority class cases (delayed deliveries) due to class imbalance within the dataset. The results highlight the importance of addressing data imbalance in predictive modeling for delivery outcomes. When the dataset is dominated by on-time delivery records, the model tends to be biased toward that class, failing to learn the patterns associated with delays. To improve performance, the study recommends integrating class balancing techniques such as SMOTE (Synthetic Minority Oversampling Technique) to generate synthetic samples of the minority class. Additionally, the use of alternative evaluation metrics beyond accuracy — such as precision, recall, and F1-score for each class — is suggested to provide a more comprehensive understanding of model effectiveness. Overall, the study provides valuable insights into the complexities of predicting delivery delays and outlines practical strategies for enhancing future models in e-commerce logistics analytics.
