Family businesses are a crucial pillar of the economy, contributing significantly to job creation and economic growth. However, the sustainability of family businesses often faces challenges, particularly during the succession process, when the next generation is prepared to take over leadership. The primary issue that arises is how the heir prepares to continue the family business, considering that this process involves not only technical skills but also psychological aspects and social learning. Therefore, this study focuses on the life experiences of a family business heir in developing readiness through social interactions and learning processes within the family environment. This study used a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Subjects were selected through purposive sampling, with the criterion of having undergone a business learning process for more than ten years within the family environment. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews, allowing researchers to explore the heir's subjective experiences in detail. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The study identified five main themes influencing the heir's readiness. First, the role of the father as the primary mentor in instilling values, work ethic, and business skills. Second, the role of the mother as an emotional supporter and instilling the values of patience and perseverance. Third, the dynamics of the subject's experiences, involving both challenges and successes in the business learning process. Fourth, the process of developing an entrepreneurial mindset, which is formed through early habits. Fifth, the subject's development as a more emotionally, professionally, and socially mature heir. In conclusion, the readiness of a family business heir is formed through a combination of life experiences, social learning within the family, and the role of parents as role models.

The magnesium alloy AZ31B is increasingly used in biomedical applications, particularly as an implant material, due to its relatively low aluminum content and mechanical properties that closely resemble those of bone. Additionally, AZ31B exhibits corrosion resistance that is suitable for biological environments. These properties make it a promising material for bone implants. However, one of the main challenges in using magnesium is its high degradation rate in the body, which can affect the stability and function of the implant. Therefore, surface modification is necessary to control the degradation rate and enhance the material's durability. One effective method to reduce the corrosion rate of AZ31B is the Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation (PEO) technique. PEO can form a hard, protective oxide layer on the surface of the metal, which helps improve its corrosion resistance. This study aims to explore the effect of the mass composition of hydroxyapatite (HAp) and tricalcium phosphate (TCP) on the PEO coating formed on the AZ31B substrate. The compositions used in this study were 70%:30%, 50%:50%, 40%:60%, and 60%:40%, with an electrolyte solution containing Na₂SiO₃ (2.5 g/L) and KOH (2 g/L). Corrosion characteristics of the coating were evaluated using two methods: weight loss and polarization tests. The results showed that the 70%:30% HAp:TCP composition provided the most optimal results. The polarization test recorded a corrosion rate of 0.22 mpy, while the weight loss test showed a corrosion rate of 0.29 mpy. These findings indicate that the PEO coating with the 70%:30% HAp:TCP composition effectively reduces the corrosion rate of AZ31B, enhancing its potential for biomedical implant applications, particularly in environments where corrosion resistance is crucial for long-term performance in the body.

This article examines the crucial role of spatial communication, particularly through signage systems, in the effective implementation of functional zoning in academic libraries. Using a comparative case study method at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) and Telkom University Libraries, this research analyzes how different visual communication strategies influence students' perceptions, behaviors, and sense of place formation. The findings indicate that the explicit and strategic visual communication approach at Telkom University successfully creates high spatial legibility and strengthens collective place identity. In contrast, the weak and ambiguous visual communication at the ITB Library causes users to rely more on personal habits, intuition, or previous experiences in accessing and utilizing the space. This not only hinders the formation of a coherent sense of place but also creates confusion that potentially degrades the quality of the user experience. The mismatch between spatial functions and user expectations leads to inefficiencies in facility utilization and disrupts user comfort within zones that should have clear functional boundaries, such as quiet zones, collaborative zones, and discussion zones. Furthermore, this article highlights the importance of integrating graphic design and architecture in creating a cohesive spatial experience. A consistently designed, informative, and aesthetically pleasing signage system not only enhances users' spatial orientation but also becomes a crucial element in shaping perceptions of the institution's character.

Early character education plays a fundamental role in shaping a generation that is not only intelligent but also physically healthy, emotionally balanced, and morally responsible. The cultivation of these values from an early age is crucial to equip children with the resilience needed to face various social challenges in the future. This community service activity was designed to increase awareness among elementary school students regarding three critical issues: the dangers of drug abuse, the practices of bullying, and the detrimental impact of corruption. The program was conducted at SDN 1 Citeluk with the participation of approximately 80 students from grades IV to VI. The educational materials were delivered through an interactive approach combining lectures, group discussions, role-playing, and quizzes. This approach was selected to ensure that the learning process was enjoyable, engaging, and easily understood by children at the elementary school level. During the sessions, students were introduced to the basic concepts of drugs, their harmful effects on health and life, and the importance of avoiding them. Additionally, the program emphasized identifying the various forms of bullying—whether physical, verbal, or social—and encouraged students to develop empathy and mutual respect. Another important aspect addressed was corruption, where students were guided to recognize the value of honesty and integrity through relatable examples in daily life. The results of the activity revealed that students were able to clearly understand the dangers of drugs, recognize the different forms of bullying, and provide examples of honest and moral behavior. This indicates that early character education delivered through interactive and participatory methods can effectively enhance children’s comprehension of healthy and moral values. Breakfast is an important habit that plays a major role in meeting children's energy and nutritional needs. The energy obtained from breakfast is essential for daily activities, including learning and playing, enabling children to achieve optimal performance both physically and cognitively. Furthermore, breakfast habits also contribute to children's nutritional status, reflecting the balance between nutritional intake and needs. However, the reality shows that in Indonesia, approximately 40% of children still do not have breakfast before going to school, potentially affecting their nutritional status. This study aims to determine the relationship between breakfast habits and the nutritional status of students at Muhammadiyah Kayen Elementary School. The study used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design and utilized primary data. The study population was all 225 students in grades I to IV. Of these, 112 students were selected through a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire to explore breakfast habits and anthropometric measurements of height and weight to determine nutritional status. Data analysis was performed using the Fisher exact test. The results showed a p-value of 0.742 (p > 0.05), indicating no significant relationship between breakfast habits and students' nutritional status. A total of 79.5% of students had good breakfast habits, while 20.5% were classified as adequate. Meanwhile, the students' nutritional status consisted of good nutrition (57.1%), overnutrition (19.7%), obesity (11.6%), malnutrition (8%), and undernutrition (3.6%). Thus, it can be concluded that breakfast habits are not significantly related to the nutritional status of students at the school.

Schools are not only institutions for the transfer of knowledge but also environments that play a crucial role in shaping students’ behavior and instilling positive habits, one of which is environmental care. One form of environmental concern that can be cultivated from an early age is the discipline of disposing of waste properly. However, SD Negeri Jambewangi, located in Dusun Pesantren, has not yet fully implemented effective waste sorting practices. Waste disposal is still carried out without distinguishing between organic and inorganic waste, which may have negative impacts on the school environment. To address this issue, community service activities were carried out by KKN students from Universitas Tidar through outreach programs and the distribution of sorted waste bins. The socialization activity applied the Extend Parallel Process Model (EPPM) communication strategy using a Severity Model approach, which emphasized the dangers and consequences of improper waste management practices. During the sessions, students were encouraged to discuss and identify various types of waste, as well as the potential environmental and health impacts associated with them. Direct practice was also provided by encouraging students to actively participate in sorting waste before disposal into the designated bins. The implementation of this program showed a positive impact, as students demonstrated an increased understanding of waste management and began to practice sorting waste more consistently. The provision of separate bins for organic and inorganic waste further facilitated this new habit. It is expected that the discipline of sorting and properly disposing of waste will continue to be applied by students, teachers, and the entire school community. Such continuous practices can foster collective awareness, contribute to maintaining environmental cleanliness, and provide long-term benefits not only for the school but also for the surrounding community.

The problem of household organic waste management, especially kitchen waste, is still an environmental challenge that has not been handled optimally. In fact, this waste has great potential to be used as environmentally friendly products. One solution that can be applied is the manufacture of eco-enzymes, which are fermented liquids from organic waste that function as a substitute for synthetic chemicals in various household and agricultural purposes. This community service activity aims to increase the awareness and skills of residents in managing organic waste through the creation of eco-enzymes as a tangible form of applying the 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) principle. The activity was carried out in Kedu Village by involving PKK women, PSRT members, the Farmer Women Group (KWT), and housewives. The methods used include counseling on the impact of household waste and the benefits of eco-enzymes, as well as direct practice of making eco-enzymes accompanied by Mrs. Faila and students of the Real Work Lecture (KKN) of Tidar University. The implementation process includes sorting kitchen waste, mixing fermentation ingredients, and monitoring yields during the incubation period. The results of the activity show that the community is able to understand the concept and techniques of making eco-enzymes well. The active participation of residents in hands-on practice reflects increased knowledge and skills in independent organic waste management. In addition, this activity encourages the formation of new sustainable habits in utilizing household waste, while reducing dependence on synthetic chemicals. This study investigates the corrosion inhibition potential of a newly synthesized organic compound, (E)-4-hydroxy-3-(phenylamino)pent-3-en-2-one (LASA3), using computational chemistry approaches. Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations were performed at the B3LYP/6-31G(d) level of theory with the Gaussian09 software package to evaluate several key quantum chemical parameters. These parameters include total energy, the energies of the highest occupied molecular orbital (EHOMO) and lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (ELUMO), the energy gap (ΔEgap), dipole moment, chemical hardness, softness (σ), and the number of electrons transferred (ΔN). The computational results reveal that LASA3 exhibits a higher EHOMO value and a smaller ΔEgap compared to its precursor molecules, referred to as S.M.1 and S.M.2. A higher EHOMO value suggests that LASA3 has a greater electron-donating ability, which enhances its interaction with the metal surface. Likewise, the reduced ΔEgap indicates greater chemical reactivity and a higher likelihood of forming stable coordination bonds with iron atoms on the carbon steel surface. Electrostatic potential (ESP) map analysis further supports these findings by highlighting the distribution of electron density within the LASA3 molecule. The ESP maps show significant electron-rich regions localized around nitrogen and oxygen atoms, which are potential active sites for adsorption onto the steel surface. This adsorption process plays a crucial role in blocking active corrosion sites and reducing the rate of metal degradation. In conclusion, the theoretical analysis confirms that LASA3 has superior electronic properties for corrosion inhibition compared to its starting materials, S.M.1 and S.M.2. Its ability to donate electrons, favorable dipole characteristics, and strategically located electron-rich sites make it a promising candidate for further experimental evaluation as an efficient corrosion inhibitor for carbon steel applications.

Exposure to food advertising, particularly UPF (Ultra-Processed Food), not only impacts children's short-term food choices but also influences the formation of long-term unhealthy eating habits. Several studies have found that advertising's influence on children is not only direct but is also reinforced by environmental factors such as family eating habits, peer influence, and food accessibility at home and school. For example, children who regularly watch television unsupervised or who have personal devices with internet access are more likely to be exposed to UPF advertising, which is typically designed with bold colors, cartoon characters, and memorable slogans. This makes children more susceptible to influence and develop preferences for the promoted foods. Furthermore, UPF advertising often features emotional messages or positive associations such as fun, friendship, and rewards, further strengthening its appeal to children. When these advertisements are repeatedly exposed, children can internalize these messages and make them part of their eating experience. In the long term, this risks causing children to associate unhealthy foods with comfort or happiness, which can trigger emotional eating and increase the potential for eating disorders and the risk of non-communicable diseases. Therefore, it is crucial to involve various stakeholders, including parents, educators, industry players, and policymakers, in building a healthy eating environment. Media literacy education for children is also a crucial step in equipping them to be more critical of advertising messages. Strict regulations on food marketing aimed at children, such as banning UPF advertising during children's broadcast hours, regulating the use of cartoon characters, and providing clear and easy-to-understand nutrition labeling, are important strategies to reduce the negative impact of UPF advertising on children's health in the long term.

This study investigates the influence of financial literacy and lifestyle on financial management among gym members at USB Fitness. Financial literacy refers to the ability to understand and apply financial concepts, while lifestyle encompasses spending patterns, consumption preferences, and daily habits. Low financial literacy combined with a high-consumption lifestyle can negatively impact personal financial management, potentially leading to poor budgeting, excessive debt, and limited savings. The research adopts a quantitative approach using a survey method, with data collected through structured questionnaires distributed via Google Forms. The population comprises 60 registered gym members, from which a sample of 52 respondents was determined using the Slovin formula with a margin of error of 5%. Data analysis techniques involve both partial (t-test) and simultaneous (F-test) hypothesis testing to assess the effects of the independent variables—financial literacy and lifestyle—on the dependent variable, financial management. The t-test results indicate that financial literacy has a positive and significant effect on financial management (t-count = 6.384 > t-table = 2.00958; p-value = 0.000 < 0.05), suggesting that higher financial literacy levels contribute to more effective personal financial practices. Conversely, lifestyle shows no significant effect on financial management (t-count = -0.013; p-value = 0.990 > 0.05), indicating that lifestyle variations among respondents do not directly determine their financial management capabilities.Simultaneous testing through the F-test reveals that financial literacy and lifestyle together have a significant influence on financial management (F-count = 21.333 > F-table = 3.191; p-value = 0.000 < 0.05). This suggests that while lifestyle alone may not significantly impact financial management, its interaction with financial literacy can influence financial outcomes. The study concludes that improving financial literacy among gym members is essential for enhancing financial management skills, while lifestyle modifications may only be impactful when supported by strong financial knowledge.
