This research aims to analyze and document the barikan tradition in Kebonadem Village as a form of preserving local wisdom which has social, spiritual and educational values. The problem faced is the decreasing interest of the younger generation in preserving this tradition amidst the strong current of modernization. This raises concerns that this tradition, which has been passed down from generation to generation, will be eroded by more popular foreign culture. The urgency of this research lies in the importance of understanding and maintaining the values contained in the Barikan tradition so that it remains relevant and can be passed on to future generations. The research results show that the Barikan tradition not only functions as an annual ritual, but also as a tool to strengthen social ties and deepen people's faith, especially in teaching children the values of togetherness, mutual help and respect for tradition. This tradition, despite facing the challenges of modernization, remains an integral part of the life of the people of Kebonadem Village, connecting the past, present and future, and enriching local cultural identity.

This research explores the integration of the Duano tribe's shellfish manongkah tradition into science education to develop culturally relevant learning modules. This research aims to address the gap between local wisdom and its application in science learning, increasing students' understanding and appreciation of their cultural heritage. A qualitative approach was used by conducting surveys and interviews with the Duano tribe community and distributing questionnaires to teachers and students in the Indragiri Hilir coastal area as many as 40 respondents. The findings in this research are that the shellfish Manongkah tradition can be integrated into learning. Furthermore, many teachers and students know about the Manongkah Shell tradition, have never carried out culture-based learning, there is a lack of teaching materials at school, and teachers lack understanding of culture-based learning. This research highlights the importance of contextual learning in preserving cultural traditions while providing practical solutions to today's educational challenges. In conclusion, to overcome this problem, it is necessary to develop a science learning module based on the Manongkah Shellfish tradition so that apart from overcoming this problem, it is hoped that it will be able to improve students' 21st century skills.

Traditional wooden motorboats are ships that are built traditionally based on the experience of the builder without a basic design process like modern ships. The sizes of traditional wooden ships are usually small and are mostly used as fishing vessels, passenger ships and inter-island cargo ships, especially in eastern Indonesia. Traditional wooden motor boats have become a means of local transportation to serve shipping needs in the regions and as a means of local transportation. Sailing certainly has various problems which can be caused by weather factors, the condition of shipping lanes, other ships, and things beyond human capabilities, which can cause shipping disruptions and even cause emergencies. Emergency means a situation outside normal conditions that occurs on board a ship which has a tendency to endanger human life, property, objects and the environment where the ship is located. One way to anticipate emergency events is to provide safety equipment. IMO (International Marine Organization) as a maritime world organization issued SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea) which contains provisions regarding what safety equipment is on board ships such as Life Jackets, Ring Buoys and Fire Extinguisher. However, in fact, fulfilling the safety equipment requires independent costs from traditional motorboat owners so there is a priority in fulfilling the safety equipment. Based on the results of the Analytical Hierarchy Process calculations in priority fulfillment of safety equipment with the final result of 36.6% Life Jacket, 30.8% Ring Buoy and 33.6% Fire Extinguisher. With these results, ship owners can determine their priorities in anticipating future emergencies

This research examines the opportunities and challenges in the development of Buddhist traditions in Indonesia, with a specific focus on the role of Tri Dharma (三教 Sam Kauw) as a tradition-strengthening element in fortifying Buddhism in Singkawang City, West Kalimantan. The research is grounded in the dynamic development of Buddhism in Indonesia, which has been influenced by modernity and diverse interpretations of teachings. Utilizing a qualitative descriptive method through observation, interviews, and document analysis with religious leaders and Buddhist adherents in Singkawang City, particularly at the historic Vihara Tri Dharma Bumi Raya (established 1873-1878), the findings reveal that the Tri Dharma tradition—integrating Buddhism (佛教), Confucianism (儒教), and Taoism (道教)—holds significant potential in strengthening religious identity and practices through values of wisdom, virtue, and harmony integrated into daily life. The research identifies key opportunities including strong cultural identity, vibrant ritual traditions (Cap Go Meh festival, Tatung rituals), community support structures, and religious tourism potential. However, challenges include limited deep understanding of Tri Dharma teachings among younger generations, influences of popular culture that erode traditional values, pressures of globalization, and modernization impacts. The research implications emphasize the necessity of systematic efforts in socializing and internalizing Tri Dharma teachings through formal and non-formal education, digital media engagement, youth involvement in Vihara activities, tradition documentation and preservation, and inter-Vihara collaboration to ensure Buddhist traditions continue to develop and strengthen their existence in Indonesia's pluralistic society.

The method used in this study is qualitative-descriptive. Meanwhile, the approaches are phenomenology, ethnography and case studies. The research results, it can be seen that there is certainly no problem with fasting fidyah, because the rules are very clear. This is different from fidyah prayer which is not regulated, either in the Koran or the hadith of the Prophet SAW. In fact, when a prayer is neglected, it must be replaced with the same prayer even if it is outside the time. When this was stated, those who were considered as executors who were directly involved in the implementation of fidyah payments (conventions) were only based on the hadith (mauqûf) of Ibn 'Abbas ra. which contradicts the text (matn) of the hadith of 'Imrân bin Hushayn, so that the hadith is considered weak (dha'îf). When this is confirmed say; knew about it, but they said that the fidyah payment was carried out as a hope (rajâ, tafâ'ul, sinta-sinta); May Allah be pleased with His mercy and blessings.

In its management, LPD also functions as a place to borrow money or credit with conditions that are much lighter than other banking institutions but are intended for only specific to their own traditional village manners.  In cases of criminal acts of corruption that have occurred so far, not only are they detrimental to state finances, but are also violations of the social and economic rights of society at large, so that criminal acts of corruption need to be classified as crimes whose eradication must be carried out in an extraordinary manner. Law enforcement agencies, such as the Corruption Eradication Committee, the police and the prosecutor's office, must always be alert in the process of investigating and handling corruption cases which are very widespread in Indonesia. Apart from that, to further guarantee legal certainty, avoid variations in legal interpretation and provide protection for the social and economic rights of the community, as well as fair treatment for members of criminal acts of corruption, it is necessary to make changes to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts. This study puts the spotlight on McLuhan’s concept “the medium is the message,” situating it within the body of scholarly work on media ecology. This paper probes the question, “How does the human body as a medium communicate the message of Christ?” Why this study? In a higher education institution like St. Paul University Iloilo where the University’s vision explicitly states its identity as a Catholic University rooted in the love of Christ, the question that it always faces is, how is this vision manifested and embodied by its administrators, faculty, staff, students, and alumni? The major concept that underpins this question is, how can the human body, particularly a student, an administrator, a staff or faculty member, communicate its foundational belief and identification in Christ, the center of the University’s engagement and formation as a Catholic University? This paper is qualitative in nature that seeks to provide a conceptual framework in examining the body as a medium and raises key questions on how the human body can communicate the Christian message of the Incarnation in general, and how a particular body that subscribes to this tradition exhibits and manifests its foundational mission rooted in the love of Christ.
