Learning via YouTube is now widely practiced by educational content creators. In this case, the use of speech used in the delivery of learning should be considered. The use of speech affects the understanding of viewers or students when watching the learning video. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to find out the locutionary speech acts in the Indonesian language learning videos of class VIII SMP on Helza RN's YouTube channel and the effectiveness of the use of speech. Descriptive qualitative research method is used to analyze the related data. The approach used in this research is the theoretical approach, namely the pragmatic approach by analyzing the types of speech acts and the intentions in them. The researcher uses listening and recording techniques to find out the locution utterances in the Indonesian language learning video for class VIII junior high school on Helza RN's YouTube channel, then the researcher analyzes the speech acts related to the context with the commensurate method. From the data analysis that has been done, it is found that there are 202 declarative speech acts, 14 interrogative speech acts, and 19 imperative speech acts that make the learning video provide a complete explanation of the material, but there is a lack of interaction between Helza Rn and viewers. The results of this study are expected to increase readers' understanding of locutionary speech acts and their types. And can be a reference for other content creators, especially in making learning videos so that they are more interesting and interactive.

Technology plays an important role in the education sector, especially in influencing students' learning motivation. This study aims to evaluate the influence of technology on students' learning motivation at various levels of education. The methods applied include literature review and observation of students who utilize technological devices in the learning process. The research findings show that the use of technology, such as learning applications, digital platforms, and interactive media, can increase students' interest and participation in learning activities. However, there are also challenges, such as the possibility of disruption due to the use of technology that is not managed properly. Therefore, careful management is needed in technology integration to ensure a positive impact on students' learning motivation.

Interest in learning is an important factor that influences learning success. This interest is influenced by internal factors, such as motivation and learning style, as well as external factors, such as parental support, facilities, and the school environment. Low interest in learning has a negative impact on student learning outcomes. Therefore, strategies are needed to improve it, such as the use of creative learning methods, active student participation, parental attention, and a conducive school environment. In addition, the hope of developing self-potential is an important aspect in the formation of adaptive and competitive characters. Its implementation involves education, training, motivation, and environmental support. Individual awareness of their strengths and weaknesses, access to resources, and guidance also play a role in self-development. A holistic approach in this process is important to realize individual potential that is beneficial to oneself and society.

Abstract. Understanding opportunity material is often a challenge for students at primary to secondary education levels. This article aims to discuss the factors that influence students' understanding of opportunity material. These factors include students' cognitive abilities, learning styles, teaching methods used by teachers, learning motivation, previous learning experiences, and a supportive learning environment. By understanding these factors, it is hoped that teaching opportunity material can be more effective and help students understand the basic concepts of opportunity.   Keywords:Student understanding, opportunity material, influencing factors, mathematics learning.   Abstrak. Pemahaman materi peluang seringkali menjadi tantangan bagi siswa di tingkat pendidikan dasar hingga menengah. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk membahas faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pemahaman siswa terhadap materi peluang. Faktor-faktor tersebut mencakup kemampuan kognitif siswa, gaya belajar, metode pengajaran yang digunakan oleh guru, motivasi belajar, pengalaman belajar sebelumnya, serta lingkungan belajar yang mendukung. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the effectiveness of using the Quiz application as an interactive learning medium to enhance cooperation, creativity, and critical thinking skills among fourth-grade elementary school students (SD/MI). The Classroom Action Research (CAR) method was employed to analyze the impact of digital quiz-based learning on students. The study was conducted over two cycles, which included planning, action, observation, and reflection. The results indicated that the use of the Quiz application could improve student cooperation through interaction and group collaboration, foster creativity through innovative problem-solving, and enhance critical thinking skills through analysis and evaluation of issues. Improvement was reflected in the average achievement scores for indicators of cooperation, creativity, and critical thinking, which reached 85%, 82%, and 80% respectively in the second cycle. This research concludes that the Quiz application, as an interactive learning medium, can create a dynamic, enjoyable, and meaningful learning atmosphere, and is relevant to the needs of today's digital generation.

Learning media is one of the keys to achieving success in the learning process in the classroom. This research aims to obtain, examine, and discuss several utterances in Indonesian language learning videos on the Kejarcita YouTube channel. This research uses a methodological approach (qualitative approach) and a theoretical approach in the form of pragmatics (directive speech acts). The data source for this research was obtained from videos in the "SMP Bahasa Indonesia" playlist uploaded to social media, namely YouTube, from December 2022 to September 2024 on the Kejarcita YouTube channel. This research discusses directive speech acts in junior high school Indonesian language learning videos on the Kejarcita YouTube channel. There are 23 directive speech acts on the Indonesian Middle School playlist Kejarcita YouTube channel. The author groups the data into five subchapters according to the type of directive speech act. It is hoped that the results of this research will provide additional knowledge and can be used as learning reference material for readers, especially in pragmatic studies.

Language serves as a fundamental tool for human communication. On social media platforms like YouTube, various forms of expression utilize both direct and indirect language. Language acts as a symbol shaped by human experiences that are intrinsically linked to behavior and action. This concept illustrates that everything in the human mind can be expressed through written and spoken words. This research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach, employing the "simak catat" technique for data collection. The objective is to document locutionary speech acts present in Indonesian language learning videos from Arisa Nur Aini's YouTube channel. A total of 189 locutionary speech acts were recorded, consisting of 130 declarative locutions, 32 interrogative locutions, and 27 imperative locutions. The analysis focuses on both the linguistic and pedagogical aspects that contribute to the teaching and learning process. It emphasizes the impact of speech acts on students' understanding and engagement during learning activities. The findings of this study aim to offer new insights for researchers interested in exploring the dynamics of communication in online learning environments. Additionally, the information gathered can serve as a significant reference for developing more effective teaching methodologies.

Speech acts must be done by everyone in everyday life. Speech act must be adjusted to the context of speech. It is expected that speakers understand various types of speech acts. This article aims to study directive speech acts in independent curriculum learning videos on the Inspirasi Guru Youtube channel in order to add insight and providing resources for researchers and readers. This research is conducted so that writers and readers can convey speech properly and correctly according to the context of speech. This research uses a pragmatic approach and analyzes by identifying speech acts, especially directive speech acts in independent curriculum learning videos contained in the Inspirasi Guru Youtube channel. The data information taken is a video that contains types of directive speech acts in independent curriculum learning. This research is using qualitative descriptive methods and pragmatic methods. The data collection technique uses listening and recording techniques. After the research in the learning video of the independent curriculum on the Inspirasi Guru youtube channel, it was found that there were various types of directive speech acts including directive speech acts of inviting, asking, ordering, charging, urging, suggesting, commanding, giving signals, forcing. The results of the analysis of this article are expected to add insight and can be a reference material for analyzing speech acts, especially directive speech acts, it is also expected that writers and readers able to speech in all situations boldly, well, and of course correctly.

This research explores the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in improving education services at the junior high school and madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) levels. AI technology contributes significantly to learning personalization, student data analysis, and school administration efficiency. Through the Narrative Literature Review method, this research analyzes various literatures to identify the impact of AI on education, including challenges and potential solutions. The results show that AI supports more adaptive learning by analyzing students' individual needs, providing data-driven recommendations, and accelerating decision-making in the education process. In addition, AI improves operational efficiency through the automation of administrative tasks, such as managing student attendance and grades. However, AI implementation faces challenges such as limited infrastructure, lack of technical training for teachers, and data privacy issues. With strategic investment and intensive training, AI technology has great potential to revolutionize the education system, creating an inclusive and sustainable learning ecosystem.

This study aims to analyze the influence of social media on student learning achievement and extracurricular participation among fifth and sixth-grade students in Tondong Tallasa Sub-district, Pangkep Regency. A total of 64 students from three elementary schools were involved as research participants. A quantitative approach with a descriptive method was employed. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and questionnaires, then analyzed using the path analysis method to assess causal relationships between variables. The findings reveal that responsible use of social media significantly enhances student achievement and promotes active involvement in extracurricular activities. Future research could explore the impact of social media across broader demographic groups and investigate its long-term effects on student academic and personal development.

The results of the analysis in this article can provide further understanding of the role of directive speech acts in the context of video-based learning and material development by paying attention to directive speech acts.

A paragraph is the smallest unit in written discourse which has an important role in building text cohesion and coherence. However, a lack of understandiag of the structure and function of paragraphs often becomes an obstacle in writing, especially in the context of learning Indonesian at the high school level. This research aims to analyze the structure and function of paragraphs in various types of text, such as narrative, descriptive and expository, and identify patterns that support communication effectiveness. This research uses a qualitative method with a content analysis approach. Data were obtained from five Indonesian high school level textbooks chosen randomly. The analysis focuses on paragraph structure (subject, predicate, object) and characteristics of text types. The research instrument includes guidelines for paragraph structure analysis, classification of text types, and criteria for effective paragraphs. The research results show that each type of text has a unique paragraph structure and function pattern, in accordance with its communication objectives. Narrative paragraphs support the storyline, descriptive create images, and expository convey factual information logically. In conclusion, understanding the structure and function of paragraphs can improve students' writing skills. This research recommends strengthening learning strategies that focus on analyzing paragraph structure and text variety to improve students' writing skills effectively.

With advancements in technology, communication has become easier and more effective, especially through digital media. In the context of education, videos serve as a valuable source of information. This study aims to analyze the use of representative speech acts in the video "Understanding Accounting Without Memorization" on the Akuntan Tampan YouTube channel as a learning resource for students. Representative speech acts function to convey information clearly and convincingly. The approach used in this study is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques involving observation and note-taking from the video released on December 10, 2016. The researcher analyzes the patterns of speech acts used in the video, identifying types of representative speech acts that serve to explain accounting concepts in a simple and comprehensible manner for the audience, particularly for students. The analysis results indicate that there are 50 representative speech acts employed to reinforce information and aid in the understanding of accounting concepts without relying on complicated memorization methods. This research is expected to contribute to a deeper understanding of the utilization of speech acts in digital educational content. Furthermore, the findings of this study may serve as a reference for educators in enhancing the quality of learning, particularly in presenting complex material more effectively and engagingly for students.

his study aims to identify the representative speech acts contained in the learning video on the playlist “TPS-Literasi dalam Bahasa Indonesia” from the Private Al Faiz channel. In this study, the author aims to examine the purpose of the speech conveyed by Febri Irawan Al Faiz in the Private Al Faiz youtube channel. In speech acts, there are representative speech acts. Representative speech acts are speech acts that bind the speaker to the truth of what is said. The approaches used in this research are theoretical approach and methodological approach. This research uses the listening method with the note method as a continuation and also uses the commensurate method. The results of this study found that speech acts containing representative as follows: (1) explain, (2) demand, (3) state, (4) acknowledge, (5) show, (6) conclude, (7) suggest, (8) assert. From the six videos that have been analyzed, 324 speech acts are produced, namely 95 speech acts of explaining, 26 speech acts of demanding, 26 speech acts of stating, 18 speech acts of admitting, 61 speech acts of showing, 22 speech acts of concluding, 40 speech acts of suggesting, and 36 speech acts of affirming.

This research was motivated by the researcher's interest in the efforts made by PAI teachers to develop students' critical thinking abilities so that students become more active in the learning process. This research uses qualitative methods with a type of field study (field research) through a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation. The analysis was carried out according to experts, namely Milles and Hubberm, through data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions and researchers used triagulation as a form of checking the validity of the data obtained. The results of the research show that the critical thinking abilities of class VIII students at SMPN 40 Takengon are good, this can be seen when students are active in asking questions and fulfill the indicator criteria contained in critical thinking. Efforts made by PAI teachers to develop students' critical thinking skills include teachers asking students stimulating questions through a random system, secondly giving opportunities to students, thirdly using group/collaboration methods. Supporting factors for PAI teachers in developing critical thinking skills are cellphones, training/workshops, and teacher creativity. The inhibiting factors include limited time, different student abilities, creating a conducive atmosphere, and limited facilities and infrastructure.  

Tradition betimbang is a traditional ceremony performed for children born in the month of Safar. This tradition has been carried out for generations and is still preserved today by the local community. This research aims to analyze the contribution of local culture in early childhood learning as a character development effort. Local culture has an important role in shaping children's identity and character from an early age. The used study methodology is descriptive qualitative, using data gathering approaches such as in-depth interviews and documentation. The findings indicated that the betimbang custom is still practiced by the population of Tanjung Intan Village as a hereditary cultural legacy. This ritual is observed for children born in the month of Safar, since this month is seen undesirable. The betimbang ritual procession encompasses the phases of begansai, buang-buang, fresh flour preparation, weighing the kid with apam cake, and hair cutting. The community believes that this custom may deter youngsters from misconduct and adversity. Researchers discovered that this practice cannot serve as the only metric for children's character development; it must be supplemented by effective parenting from guardians. The betimbang tradition embodies religious principles and communal cooperation that is upheld by the local community

This study aims to examine the implementation of an Islamic-based curriculum at SMP IT Insan Mandiri in Sukabumi City. The Islamic-based curriculum is expected to integrate religious values into the learning process to shape students' character, excelling in both religious and academic aspects. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method involving observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The findings show that the Islamic-based curriculum at SMP IT Insan Mandiri has been implemented effectively, although there are some challenges, such as limited resources and teacher training. Overall, the implementation of this curriculum has successfully contributed to shaping students' character by enhancing their understanding of Islamic values and applying them in daily life. This study analyzes Indonesian language errors that are common among the younger generation, focusing on the influence of social media as one of the main causes. Data was collected from conversations on the WhatsApp platform and analyzed using a qualitative descriptive method. The results show that language errors that are often found include the use of non-standard abbreviations, spelling errors, punctuation, and capital letters. The main factors causing these errors are the habit of informal communication on social media and the lack of effective Indonesian language education. This research recommends updating Indonesian language learning methods that are relevant to the digital era as well as awareness campaigns for good language use through social media.
