The South Coast of East Java is one of the areas that has marine and fisheries potential. This is utilized by local residents as a source of livelihood. To maximize this potential, it is necessary to know how the water quality in an area. The water quality of a water body can be known through the measurement of chlorophyll-a concentration and sea surface temperature with the help of remote sensing technology. This study aims to analyze the comparison of Aqua MODIS and VIIRS images on mapping chlorophyll-a concentration and sea surface temperature with the help of the SeaDAS application whose data is downloaded through the NASA oceancolor website. To map chlorophyll-a concentration and sea surface temperature, an analysis method using the most optimal mathematical model is needed. The results of the Aqua MODIS satellite image chlorophyll-a concentration research in the year (2020-2024) in the South Coast of East Java has an average of 0.24282 mg/m3, 0.19144 mg/m3, 0.51777 mg/m3, 0.37524 mg/m3, and 4.0542 mg/m3. The highest average chlorophyll-a concentration value of Aqua MODIS satellite imagery occurred in May 2024. This condition indicates that the water quality in the South Coast of East Java is low. While the chlorophyll-a concentration of VIIRS satellite images in the year (2020-2024) in the South Coast of East Java has an average of 0.23197 mg/m3, 0.31974 mg/m3, 0.19304 mg/m3, 0.38974 mg/m3, and 1.58583 mg/m3. The highest average chlorophyll-a concentration value of VIIRS satellite imagery occurred in May 2024. This condition indicates that the water quality in the South Coast of East Java is low.

Pesticides are all chemicals and other materials as well as microbes and viruses that are used to eradicate or prevent pests and diseases that damage plants. The majority of farmers use chemical pesticides because they are easy to apply practically, fast reaction, and more efficient. Surabaya, a city with high population density in East Java, faces challenges in managing land for reforestation. To address this issue, the Surabaya Green and Clean (SGC) Program was introduced, focusing on greening and waste management. One of the proposed solutions is hydroponics, a soilless farming method that can be applied on limited land. On July 28, 2024, community service activities were carried out in Kalijudan Village, Mulyorejo District, Surabaya City, to introduce and increase public knowledge about hydroponics. This activity involved socialization and practical hydroponic planting with the participation of 25 residents. The program consisted of preparation stages, socialization, planting practices, and report preparation. Socialization included exposure to hydroponic theory and practical demonstrations, while each participant received tools and materials for home experiments. The planting method with rockwool has proven effective in supporting plant growth, while the distributed eco-enzyme provided dual benefits by increasing plant growth and reducing household waste. This program successfully introduced hydroponic technology and increased awareness of sustainable urban agriculture. Hopefully, this activity will be the first step in developing hydroponics and creating a greener environment in Surabaya.

Journal of Administrative and Sosial Science (JASS) 2024 Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Administrasi (STIA) Yappi Makassar

This research aims to analyze the determination of the internalization of BerAKHLAK work culture in constructing apparatus integrity within the Social Services Department of East Java Province. In the context of modern bureaucratic transformation, Civil Servants (ASN) are required to have a strong work culture foundation as a moral compass to avoid practices that deviate from professional ethics. The Social Services Department possesses unique characteristics as it interacts directly with vulnerable social groups, necessitating personnel with unwavering integrity and moral immunity against the temptation of abusive authority. Utilizing a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design, this research dissects the phenomenon of value internalization holistically through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results indicate that the internalization process of BerAKHLAK (Service-Oriented, Accountable, Competent, Harmonious, Loyal, Adaptive, and Collaborative) is carried out through a social construction dialectic encompassing stages of externalization, objectification, and internalization. Phenomenological findings suggest a paradigm shift from formalistic integrity toward substantive integrity, where values such as Accountability and Loyalty are no longer viewed merely as regulatory burdens but as manifestations of moral responsibility rooted in individual conscience. The habituation process through routine actions, such as consistently precise data verification, has created an "ethical sedimentation" that transforms honest behavior into an instinctive or automatic self-governing action. Furthermore, the Harmonious and Collaborative dimensions have successfully established peer-supervision mechanisms and a collective social identity that strengthens the organization's moral fortress through collective social shame against deviations. The integration of Competent and Adaptive values also proves to be a primary determinant in mitigating ethical risks, where technical professionalism encourages personnel to remain transparent despite complex field pressures. Overall, the internalization of BerAKHLAK work culture has successfully reconstructed the integrity of the East Java Social Services apparatus into a stable social reality, which not only transforms work methods but also builds public trust through quality and equitable service.
