Sustainability reporting has been increasingly popular in recent years as businesses become more aware of environmental challenges. 96% of the top businesses in the world have implemented sustainability reporting practices, according to a KPMG survey. The effect of sustainability reporting practices on environmental performance is examined in this study. Sustainability reports, the implementation of GRI standards, and external assurance are used to gauge sustainability reporting procedures; firm size is used as a control variable. In this study, 305 observational data from manufacturing firm over a five-year period (2018-2022) were analysed quantitatively using binary logistic regression. The findings indicate that while the use of GRI standards has a positive and significant effect on environmental performance, sustainability reports and external assurance have no significant effect. These findings show that the implementation in GRI standards encourages business commitment to sustainable practices and transparency, both of which have a significant impact on environmental performance. In the meanwhile, external assurance and sustainability reports tend to be mostly symbolic and do not demonstrate a real commitment to environmental improvement. Environmental performance is positively impacted by the control variable, firm size. These findings suggest that a company's environmental performance is correlated with its size. As a control variable, firm size contributes to maintaining and clarifying the relationship between environmental performance and sustainability practices while ensuring objective and valid study findings. This study emphasizes the importance of strengthening the quality of sustainability reporting and expanding the application of external standards and assurance to improve the credibility and accountability of corporate environmental performance in Indonesia.

This study aims to examine how Islamic financing contributes to the empowerment of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), particularly in the trade sector. MSMEs play a crucial role as one of the main pillars of the national economy; however, they continue to face various challenges such as limited access to capital, inadequate managerial skills, and low levels of financial literacy. Islamic financing emerges as a solution by applying fundamental Islamic principles, including the prohibition of usury (riba), fairness, and transparency in all financial transactions.The research employs a descriptive qualitative method based on a literature review from various reliable sources. The findings reveal that Islamic financing, through contracts such as murabahah, musyarakah, mudharabah, and ijarah, not only provides access to capital but also offers mentoring and training programs to help entrepreneurs manage their businesses more professionally.The positive impact of Islamic financing can be seen in the improvement of business performance, increased turnover, and enhanced welfare among MSME actors. Furthermore, this system contributes to the stability of the Islamic banking industry and promotes sustainable national economic growth. Therefore, further development of Islamic financing is necessary to expand its reach and benefit a greater number of small and medium enterprises across Indonesia.

A digital marketing mentoring program is an effective strategy for increasing the competitiveness of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the digital economy era. The objective of this community service activity is to strengthen the marketing of the Permata Chips MSME through the utilization of social media, creative content production, and optimization of consistently scheduled online promotions. The methods used in implementing this program include training, direct mentoring, and content implementation to support online promotional activities. Results show a significant increase in promotional reach, more active customer interaction, improved brand perception, and increased transactions and repeat purchases. The implementation of digital marketing also provides benefits in the form of broader market expansion across regions and efficiency in the product offering process. This program is expected to become a model of capacity-based mentoring that can be replicated by other MSMEs, with implications for strengthening marketing accountability and the future sustainability of MSME businesses.

Cocoa farming is one of the plantation subsectors that plays a strategic role in Indonesia’s economy, as it contributes to increasing farmers’ income, national exports, and the development of the chocolate processing industry. Indonesia is recognized as one of the world’s largest cocoa producers, with major production areas located in Sulawesi, particularly South Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, and Southeast Sulawesi. However, the sustainability of cocoa farming still faces various challenges, such as low crop productivity, the use of low-quality seedlings, suboptimal cultivation techniques, and the presence of pests and plant diseases. In addition, limited access to capital and the low level of farmers’ financial management skills also affect the sustainability of cocoa farming. Many farmers do not yet have proper farm financial record-keeping systems, making it difficult to manage production costs, cash flow, and farm capital planning. In this context, financial literacy becomes an important factor that can help farmers manage their farming activities more effectively and sustainably. This study aims to analyze the effect of financial literacy on the sustainability of cocoa farming and farmers’ welfare. The research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method involving 120 cocoa farmers in Sidenreng Rappang Regency (Sidrap), South Sulawesi. Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews and then analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that financial literacy has a positive and significant effect on farm financial management and the sustainability of agricultural businesses. This research examines the implementation of tax planning for Value Added Tax (VAT) at the XYZ Accounting Firm (KJA) to enhance tax efficiency. In Indonesia, the self-assessment tax system requires taxpayers to calculate and report their own taxes, prompting businesses to seek strategies to minimize tax burdens and maximize profits. VAT, as a consumption-based tax, represents a significant source of government revenue. KJA XYZ supports its clients in VAT planning through measures such as utilizing automated Excel tools and providing education on tax regulations. Despite these efforts, challenges such as invoice data discrepancies have been identified. To address these issues, it is recommended that KJA XYZ further develop its automation systems and enhance communication with clients. The findings of this study indicate that effective VAT planning contributes positively to clients’ tax efficiency.

Businesses build trademarks to promote products or services while maintaining their reputation and competitiveness. However, the practice of using well-known brands without the license owner's permission is still found. The case of counterfeiting the Arc'teryx brand by PT ATX Asia Sport Products demonstrates a violation of the exclusive rights of the brand owner. This study aims to analyze law enforcement against the circulation of counterfeit Arc'teryx products in Bali based on Law Number 20 of 2016 concerning Trademarks and Geographical Indications and review the role of the TRIPs Agreement in protecting brands in Indonesia. The method used is normative with a literature review of laws, books, journals, and literature related to unauthorized trademark infringement. The results show that the use of the Arc'teryx brand without official permission confirms the weak supervision and law enforcement of foreign brands that have not been registered in Indonesia. Although the first-to-file system applies, Indonesia still provides legal protection for foreign brands through its membership in the Paris Convention and the TRIPs Agreement. This study emphasizes the need to strengthen the role of the Directorate General of Intellectual Property Rights (DJKI), the Commercial Court, and increase public legal awareness to prevent trademark infringement and create legal certainty for rights owners and consumers.

The issue of global food security is increasingly pressing amidst climate change, population growth, and environmental degradation. The agricultural sector, particularly rice production, faces threats from pests and diseases that reduce crop yields and farmer incomes. Climate change exacerbates pest attack patterns, increasing crop losses. In addition, excessive use of chemical pesticides leads to pest resistance and negative impacts on ecosystems and human health. This study used a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, and the study population included farmers who cultivate rice fields and farmer groups that have received Integrated Pest Management (IPM) in Makale District, Tana Toraja Regency, with a population of 325 families. Respondents were randomly selected at 15% of the total population, with a sample of 49 farmers consisting of three farmer groups. The results showed that the role of farmer groups in IPM implementation in Makale District includes extension and training (65.5%), facilitating access to information and resources (69%), decision-making (67.5%), and conflict management and IPM cooperation (66.5%). Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the implementation of the rice farming system, with support from the Government and the Tana Toraja Regency Agriculture Service to optimize the development of rice farming businesses.

This study aims to analyze the effect of pricing and product quality on sales levels in fish businesses at TPI Beba, Takalar Regency. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method by distributing questionnaires to 91 respondents who are fish business actors. The independent variables in this study are pricing and product quality, while the dependent variable is the sales level. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression using SPSS. The results showed that pricing and product quality had a partial and simultaneous effect on sales levels. The right pricing and good product quality can significantly increase sales. This study provides important implications for fish business actors in designing pricing strategies and maintaining product quality to increase competitiveness and income.

Processing coconut into copra is an important strategy to increase value added and farmers’ income in rural areas. However, traditional copra processing businesses often face problems such as price fluctuations, high production costs, and limited understanding of business feasibility analysis. This study aims to analyze the value added and business feasibility of copra processing in Bone Regency, specifically in Tellusiattinge District, Ulo Village. The study was conducted from September to October 2025 using a descriptive method with qualitative and quantitative approaches. The research population consisted of 15 copra processing entrepreneurs, all of whom were selected as respondents using a census technique. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis included production cost analysis, income analysis, value added analysis using the Hayami method, and business feasibility analysis using the Revenue Cost Ratio. The results showed that the average value added from processing coconut into copra was Rp2,100 per kilogram with a value added ratio of 37.5 percent, which falls into the medium category. The average Revenue Cost Ratio of 1.35 indicates that the copra processing business is feasible and profitable to operate. The findings imply that copra processing has the potential to increase farmers’ income and rural economic development, therefore requiring support in improving production efficiency and adopting better processing technologies to enhance value added.

This study aims to analyze the strategies used by business actors in facing local market competition through Porter's Five Forces Model approach, which includes: the threat of new entrants, the threat of substitute products, the bargaining power of suppliers, the bargaining power of consumers, and the intensity of competition between competitors. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques were conducted through in-depth interviews with three categories of informants, namely business owners, employees, and consumers. Data analysis was conducted by identifying patterns, differences, and linkages between the strategies applied and aspects of Porter's Five Forces Model. The results showed that the main strendgth in local competition lies in the high intensity of competitors and the increasing number of alternative products offered. The integration strategy between online and offline marketing is proven to help dealers reach consumers more widely and build customer loyalty. The use of social media, digital promotions, and direct-to-consumer services such as exhibitions and local community partnerships are key to adaptation in the digital era. By understanding Porter's five aspects in depth, businesses can formulate strategies that are more adaptive, innovative, and highly competitive in the local market.

Bontang Kuala, a coastal village in Bontang City, possesses abundant marine resources, particularly bawis fish (Siganus canaliculatus). However, this potential has not been fully optimized to strengthen the local economy. This study aims to examine strategies for strengthening the local economy through the management of bawis fish products using the 4P marketing mix (product, price, place, and promotion). This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection methods including observation, in-depth interviews with business owners and visitors, and field documentation. The findings indicate that business actors in Bontang Kuala have developed various processed bawis fish products, such as gammi bawis and dried bawis fish, marketed with pricing strategies adjusted to purchasing power. Most businesses are strategically located along the culinary tourism route, although accessibility challenges persist. Promotion strategies remain simple and limited to social media and local community support. Key supporting factors include raw material availability, high market demand, and community institutional support, while constraints include infrastructure limitations, suboptimal promotion, and raw material fluctuations. Overall, the management of bawis fish products has positively impacted community income and strengthened local economic identity. Recommendations include strengthening business infrastructure, enhancing digital promotion capacity, developing community-based business institutions, and expanding strategic partnerships among local actors.

The development of digital technology has changed global business patterns, including in Indonesia, through the growth of e-commerce, social media, and online platforms. This change opens up great opportunities for students as the educated young generation to develop online businesses. This research aims to explore students' online business readiness from a digital mindset perspective through a phenomenological study approach among students in Malang. The research focuses on online business readiness, digital mindset, attitudes towards technology, and the contribution of entrepreneurship learning, which are analyzed using the Theory of Planned Behavior framework(Ajzen, 1991) and Entrepreneurial Mindset Theory. The research used qualitative methods with in-depth interviews with online business students. The results show that students have a basic understanding of digital business, especially in utilizing social media and marketplaces. A positive attitude towards technology has been formed, indicated by perceived benefits and ease of use. However, a gap emerges between technical skills and long-term strategic planning capabilities. Innovation and problem-solving tend to be reactive, simply following trends, while psychological resistance such as fear of fraud and data security remain barriers. This research confirms that online business readiness is not only determined by technical skills, but also by the strengthening of an adaptive, innovative digital mindset. The Community Service Program (KKN) from the University of Muhammadiyah North Sumatra in 2025 took place in Dolok Kahean Village, Tapian Dolok District, Simalungun Regency, with the theme "Entrepreneurship as a Solution for Community Economic Empowerment. " The main objective of this activity was to improve the competence of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) by implementing digital marketing strategies and strengthening local product brands, especially rengginang businesses. The methods applied included observation, interviews, socialization, and participatory training. The core program included logo and product identity creation, photography training and promotional content editing, social media account creation, and education on Go Digital Safe for the community. The results of this activity showed an increase in the skills of MSMEs in using digital media for promotion, expanding market share, and increasing product competitiveness. In addition, students gained practical insights in the application of entrepreneurship, communication, and social project management. The main challenges faced, namely the lack of internet access and low digital literacy in the community, can be overcome through a direct approach and intensive mentoring. Overall, the KKN program has been successful in strengthening collaboration between higher education institutions and the community and has become an example of digital-based economic empowerment at the village level.

The franchise business model has experienced rapid growth in Indonesia, particularly in the food, beverage, and modern retail sectors, such as Indomaret. The franchise system provides efficient business expansion opportunities for franchisors and franchisees to participate in businesses that already have established operational standards and market reputations. However, behind this development, significant legal challenges have emerged, particularly related to the unequal position between franchisors and franchisees in franchise agreements. This study aims to analyze the forms of legal protection for franchisees by reviewing the principles of fairness, balance, and legal certainty in the implementation of franchise contracts. The approach used is a normative juridical method with a case study of the Indomaret franchise partnership, which is examined through an analysis of related laws and regulations, such as Government Regulation Number 42 of 2007 concerning Franchising and Regulation of the Minister of Trade Number 71 of 2019. The results of the study indicate that there is still asymmetry of power in contract drafting, weak legal literacy of franchisees, and a lack of government oversight of agreement implementation. Therefore, regulatory reform and strengthening of oversight mechanisms are needed to ensure that franchise relationships operate fairly, transparently, and sustainably

Debt disputes often occur in business relationships. Sometimes debtors do not pay their debts, causing problems regarding debt repayment. One of the legal steps taken by creditors is to file a petition for bankruptcy with the Commercial Court. The requirements for bankruptcy in Indonesia are relatively straightforward, making it easy for debtors to be declared bankrupt. This is detrimental to debtors, as bankruptcy has significant implications for the sustainability of their businesses. This situation raises questions about how debtors can obtain justice in bankruptcy cases. Supreme Court Decision No. 1714 K/Pdt.Sus-Pailit/2022 serves as the case study for this research. In that decision, the judge rejected the bankruptcy petition despite it meeting the requirements of Article 2(1) of the Bankruptcy Law, as the judge believed there were still options for a simple lawsuit and the impact of bankruptcy was not proportional to the value of the debt in question. This paper was written using the normative legal research method. This study will use a regulatory approach, a conceptual approach, and a case approach. Tax is a mandatory contribution to the state owed by individuals or entities, which is mandatory under the law, without receiving any direct compensation and is used for state purposes for the greatest prosperity of the people. (KUP Law). The Taxation System (Coretax), which became operational in 2025, with all its news aspects, has attracted much public attention, especially from businesses and individuals, regarding developments in tax reporting, procedures, and regulations in Indonesia. The public is required to understand tax equalization and related aspects, as it can impact the sustainability of both businesses and individuals. The webinar "Smart Tax and Smart Talent: Tax Equalization in the Digital Era" was held as an educational forum for students, academics, practitioners, and the general public to understand the transformation of taxation in the digital era. Through this activity, participants are expected to gain insight into technology-based tax management strategies and develop their readiness as intelligent talents capable of contributing to the national digital economy system.

This study aims to analyze oppurtunities, threats, and sales strategies through the Tiktok Shop and Tokopedua applications in the Tangerang area. Tiktok Shop and Tokopedia are two major E-Commerce platforms in Indonesia. Tiktok Shop utilizies short video trends and live streaming features to attract young consumers, while Tokopedia offers a strong E-Commerce infrastructure to support online transactions. E-Commerce is a process whereby buyers and sellers exchange information, money, and goods using electronic media. Data collection techniques were carried out through surveys targeting the community in the Tangerang area by distributing questionnaires and using documentation and literature studies that compiled secondary data from official documents published by the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises, APJII, Data Reportal, and the Tangerang City Communication and Information Agency. The result of this study show that the collaboration between Tiktok Shop and Tokopedia opens up enormous growth opportunities, especially for businesses in the Tangerang area. Tangerang is a region with rapid growth in internet users. The younger generation, who actively use tiktok for both entertainment and shopping, is a highly potential consumer segment. Through this collaboration, businesses can reach markets that were previously difficult to penetrate through traditional marketing methods.

This study aims to analyze the influence of product innovation, brand image, and service quality on consumer purchasing decisions at Bromfiets Cafe Srengat Blitar. The research is motivated by the growing competition in the culinary industry, which requires businesses to continuously innovate, strengthen brand image, and improve service quality to retain customers. The research method employed a quantitative associative approach, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to 121 respondents selected using the accidental sampling technique. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the aid of SPSS version 25.0. The results show that product innovation, brand image, and service quality have a positive and significant effect both partially and simultaneously on consumer purchasing decisions. The Adjusted R² value of 0.727 indicates that these three variables explain 72.7% of the variation in purchasing decisions, while the remaining 27.3% is explained by other factors outside the research model. These findings highlight that the synergy between product innovation, brand image, and service quality is the key factor influencing purchasing decisions and sustaining competitive advantage in local culinary businesses.

Choosing a strategic business location is a key factor in building a successful enterprise, especially in Lautem Municipality, Timor-Leste. This area presents various opportunities for businesses such as grocery shops, small restaurants, repair workshops, and agricultural ventures. However, entrepreneurs often face challenges like poor road infrastructure, limited purchasing power, and inadequate transport access. This study developed a web-based Decision Support System (DSS) using the ELECTRE method to help business owners select the most suitable location. The system evaluates multiple location options based on important criteria such as population density, transportation access, and economic activity. By using this approach, entrepreneurs can reduce the risk of choosing an unprofitable location and improve their chances of success. The results show that implementing the ELECTRE method in a DSS is effective for identifying optimal business sites. These findings are expected to serve as a practical reference for entrepreneurs in Lospalos and nearby areas, while also supporting local economic development in the region.
