This study aims to analyze the representation of the five stages of grief in the film 172 Days through a literary psychology analysis. This film is of particular interest because it is an Indonesian box office hit based on a true story that portrays both emotional and religious experiences of loss. The study employs a qualitative descriptive approach, with the objects of analysis being visual scenes and the dialogue of the character Zira that represent the experience of grief. Data were collected through systematic observation of the film and a review of relevant literature on grief theory. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis techniques, classifying scenes based on the stages of grief according to Elisabeth Kübler-Ross: denial, bargaining, anger, depression, and acceptance. The results indicate that the film represents the five stages of grief progressively through the main character’s emotional journey. The denial stage is evident through the denial of the illness’s condition; bargaining through prayer as a form of spiritual negotiation; anger through emotional outbursts following the loss; depression through deep sorrow and attachment to memories; and acceptance through embracing the loss and finding new meaning in life. These findings indicate that the film functions not only as a medium of entertainment but also as a psychological representation of the grieving process that is universal and reflective for the audience.

The conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural land continues to increase along with the pressures of urbanization, industrialization, and settlement expansion. This condition poses risks to food security, environmental sustainability, and farmer welfare. This article reviews literature based on 25 abstracts/research results on LP2B in Indonesia to map policy implementation patterns, the relationship between LP2B and regional spatial planning, inhibiting factors, and the direction of policy strengthening. The method used is a narrative review with thematic synthesis of normative legal studies, juridical-empirical, qualitative, mixed methods, and spatial-quantitative approaches. The results of the review indicate: (1) LP2B is highly dependent on the harmonization of spatial planning policies, especially RTRW/RDTR and licensing mechanisms based on KKPR-OSS; (2) many regions are still stuck at the land inventory-identification stage, not yet reaching the determination and operational protection through LP2B Regional Regulations; (3) dominant obstacles include regulatory asynchronous, weak law enforcement, minimal cross-agency coordination, limited data by name by address, suboptimal socialization, and conflicts of interest in non-agricultural development; (4) incentive-disincentive instruments have not been implemented consistently, although socially farmers tend to accept LP2B protection; and (5) quantitative evidence at the national level shows that LP2B policies have a positive effect on the percentage of rice fields, despite being suppressed by population density and real estate sector growth. This article emphasizes the need for an integrated spatial governance approach, strengthening regional institutions, and designing policies that are socially and environmentally just to ensure that LP2B is effective in maintaining regional food security.

Hyperemesis gravidarum is a common complication in early pregnancy characterized by excessive nausea and vomiting that can negatively affect maternal health and quality of life. Although pharmacological management is widely used, concerns regarding medication safety during pregnancy have increased interest in complementary and non-pharmacological interventions. One such approach is aromatherapy, particularly the use of lavender essential oil, which is known for its calming and antiemetic properties. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of lavender aromatherapy in reducing the frequency of hyperemesis gravidarum among pregnant women at RSUD Tikep. This research employed a quantitative quasi-experimental design with a pretest–posttest approach. A total of 30 first-trimester pregnant women experiencing hyperemesis gravidarum were selected using purposive sampling. The intervention involved inhalation of lavender aromatherapy administered for a predetermined duration and frequency. The frequency of nausea and vomiting was measured before and after the intervention using observation sheets and self-reported records. Data were analyzed using SPSS software, including descriptive statistics, normality tests, and paired sample t-tests. The results demonstrated a significant reduction in the mean frequency of hyperemesis gravidarum following the administration of lavender aromatherapy. Statistical analysis revealed a p-value of less than 0.05, indicating a significant difference between pre-intervention and post-intervention measurements. These findings suggest that lavender aromatherapy effectively reduces the frequency of nausea and vomiting in pregnant women. In conclusion, lavender aromatherapy is a safe, low-cost, and effective complementary therapy for managing hyperemesis gravidarum. Its integration into routine antenatal care may enhance maternal comfort and support holistic, patient-centered maternity services, particularly in regional healthcare settings.

Instilling saving habits from an early age is an essential component of character education, particularly in fostering discipline, responsibility, and independence. Initial observations at PAUD Nurul Islam, Jelutih Village indicate that early childhood saving interest remains relatively low due to limited engaging learning media and the absence of structured habituation. This Community Service Program (KKN) aims to foster early childhood saving interest through creative piggy bank media aligned with children’s developmental characteristics. The implementation method comprised planning, execution, and evaluation stages. During execution, children were introduced to saving concepts through simple storytelling and interactive dialogue, followed by hands-on creation of creative piggy banks using simple, child-friendly materials. These piggy banks were then used to habituate saving behavior. The results demonstrate increased enthusiasm and saving interest among children, reflected in their willingness to set aside money and heightened responsibility toward their piggy banks. Therefore, creative piggy bank media serve as an effective alternative learning tool for fostering saving interest and positive character development among early childhood learners at PAUD Nurul Islam, Jelutih Village.

This study uses an integrated analysis of positive law and Islamic law at Polres Bungo to investigate the reconstruction of sanctions for juvenile offenders during the investigation stage. Empirical trends suggest a procedural and administrative orientation that may restrict substantive rehabilitation, even though Undang-Undang Nomor 11 Tahun 2012 tentang Sistem Peradilan Pidana Anak (Juvenile Criminal Justice System Act) formally adopts restorative justice, diversion, and the best interests of the child as guiding principles. Using a multidisciplinary approach that integrates statutory, theological-normative (shar‘i), and historical considerations, this study uses a normative qualitative design based on library research. The theoretical framework incorporates maqāṣid al-sharīʿah as a normative evaluation instrument, legal effectiveness theory, and punishment theories. The findings reveal a conceptual convergence between Indonesian positive law and Islamic criminal jurisprudence in differentiating criminal responsibility based on maturity and prioritizing rehabilitation over retribution. There are still differences, nevertheless, when it comes to age criteria and the classification of sanctions: Islamic law places more emphasis on moral and biological maturity (baligh and tamyīz), whereas positive law focuses on strict legislative boundaries. The predominance of formal legality over psychosocial assessment at the investigative level runs the risk of undermining rehabilitative goals. In order to maintain proportionality and child protection, this study suggests a reconstructive paradigm that operationalizes maqāṣid-based principles, combines thorough psychological evaluation, and improves diversion measures. In addition to realistically advancing the creation of a more equitable, rehabilitative, and child-centered investigative framework, the research theoretically advances the conversation about harmonizing state and Islamic law.

Bankruptcy is a legal mechanism used to resolve a debtor's inability to fulfill debt obligations collectively, orderly, and fairly through a court decision. In the Indonesian bankruptcy system, the curator has a central role in managing and settling bankrupt assets to protect the interests of creditors while providing legal certainty for debtors. This study aims to analyze the regulation of the curator's authority in managing and settling bankrupt assets and to examine its implications for the protection of creditors’ and debtors’ rights from a business law perspective. The research method employed is normative legal research with statutory and conceptual approaches, conducted through a literature review of various relevant primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials. The results indicate that the curator’s authority is expressly regulated in Law Number 37 of 2004 concerning Bankruptcy and Suspension of Debt Payment Obligations, which provides a legal basis for the curator to manage, secure, sell, and distribute bankrupt assets to creditors in accordance with legal provisions. However, in practice, several obstacles remain, such as difficulties in tracking assets, potential conflicts of interest, and a lack of transparency, which may affect the effectiveness of legal protection. Therefore, the professionalism of the curator and the supervision of the supervising judge are crucial factors in ensuring legal certainty, fairness, and efficiency in the bankruptcy process.

Qanun Jinayah Aceh is a form of application of Islamic law in the regional legal system which is based on the principle of amar ma'ruf nahi munkar. This principle aims to uphold moral values and prevent deviant acts in society. However, its implementation cannot be separated from containing the limits of sharia enforcement, protection of human rights, and the realization of social justice. This condition shows the need for a critical study of the application of the principles of amar ma'ruf nahi munkar in the Aceh Qanun Jinayah. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the principle of amar ma'ruf nahi munkar in the Aceh Qanun Jinayah and assess its conformity with the principles of social justice. The research method used is normative juridical with a statutory, conceptual, and sociological approach, through a literature study of regulations, Islamic legal literature, and related scientific studies. The results of the study indicate that the principle of amar ma'ruf nahi munkar has become the normative basis for enforcing the Qanun Jinayah, but in practice it still faces challenges in the form of law enforcement that is not fully fair, potential discrimination, and a weak perspective on social justice. Therefore, the implementation of these principles must be proportional, contextual, and oriented toward the public interest. The implications of this research emphasize the importance of integrating the enforcement of Islamic law with the principles of social justice so that the Aceh Qanun Jinayah can be implemented fairly, humanely, and sustainably.

The development of digital technology and social media, particularly TikTok, has significantly influenced the learning behavior of elementary school students. This study aims to analyze the impact of TikTok use on the learning behavior of sixth-grade elementary school students through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. Data were collected from Google Scholar following the PRISMA guidelines, resulting in 200 initial articles, which were then selected to obtain 12 articles relevant to the Indonesian context. The synthesis results show that TikTok has a dual impact. On the positive side, TikTok increases creativity, digital skills, self-confidence, interest in learning, and provides access to interesting and interactive educational content. However, excessive use without supervision has negative effects, such as decreased discipline, concentration, and motivation to learn, the emergence of academic procrastination, and changes in behavior and language that are inappropriate. These findings confirm that the influence of TikTok is greatly affected by parental supervision, the role of teachers, digital literacy, and student self-regulation. Therefore, it is necessary to use TikTok wisely, purposefully, and in an integrated manner in educational policies so that its benefits are optimized and its risks can be minimized.

Child violence cases in Jayapura City demonstrate a distinctive pattern of legal settlement characterised by the strong coexistence of customary law and the formal juvenile criminal justice system. While national legislation mandates diversion and restorative justice as primary mechanisms in handling children in conflict with the law, empirical findings reveal that most cases are resolved through indigenous customary forums known as para-para adat. This study aims to analyse the forms of settlement applied to child violence cases and to identify the constraints encountered in implementing both customary mechanisms and the formal juvenile justice system. The research employs a normative-empirical approach by combining statutory analysis with field data obtained from law enforcement institutions, legal aid organisations, and community respondents. The findings indicate that approximately ninety percent of cases between 2019 and 2024 were settled through customary mechanisms involving collective responsibility and the payment of customary fines as symbolic and material restoration. Diversion mechanisms under the formal system were rarely implemented. Although customary settlement is perceived as flexible, culturally legitimate, and socially restorative, several obstacles persist, including disagreement over compensation, inability to fulfil customary obligations, and limited awareness of restorative justice procedures. The study highlights the need to harmonise legal pluralism within child protection policies to ensure that customary practices align with the best interests of the child and national legal standards.

This study examines the juridical aspects of guardianship applications by parents to obtain permission to sell a minor’s inherited land and analyzes the judicial considerations in Decision Number 199/Pdt.P/2025/PN Blt. The research employs an empirical juridical method with a sociological legal approach. Primary data were collected through interviews and case documents at the Blitar District Court, while secondary data consist of statutes, doctrine, and related literature. Qualitative-descriptive analysis was applied to interpret the findings. The study reveals that the guardianship application process involves both administrative and judicial stages. Judges scrutinize material evidence and the probity of sale objectives, weighing important principles such as utility, legal certainty, fairness, and justice. Guardians are granted limited authority to sell a minor’s property only if it can be proven to be in the child's best interest and legal protections are assured. Recommendations include strengthening post-decision monitoring, enhancing legal outreach, improving procedural transparency, and ensuring comprehensive implementation.

This study aims to analyze the investigation process involving children as perpetrators of trafficking in persons at the Women and Children Protection Unit (PPA) of Bukittinggi Police Resort and to assess the forms of legal protection provided at each stage of the examination. This research applies an empirical juridical approach by combining literature review and field research through interviews with investigators and related parties. The findings indicate that the investigation process has been conducted in accordance with Law Number 11 of 2012 concerning the Juvenile Criminal Justice System, while upholding the principle of the best interests of the child. Legal protection is implemented through legal assistance, closed hearings, limited detention periods, and coordination with relevant institutions to support the child’s recovery and rehabilitation. However, several obstacles remain, including the limited number of investigators, restricted investigation timeframes, and difficulties in presenting witnesses. This study concludes that legal protection for children involved as perpetrators of trafficking in persons has been carried out in line with normative regulations, yet it requires strengthened institutional capacity and inter-agency coordination to ensure more effective implementation.

Conflicts in transmigration areas are generally multidimensional and influenced by social, economic, land, and institutional factors. This study aims to identify the forms and distribution of conflicts in three districts of the transmigration area, namely Momi Waren District, Ransiki District, and Oransbari District, as well as to formulate a smart system-based conflict resolution approach through the use of spatial data, local institutions, and local wisdom-based settlement practices. Based on field mapping, four main categories of conflict were identified: 1) Land conflicts occur throughout the transmigration sites in the form of claims to transmigration land that has not been handed over to transmigrants because the compensation price is below normal. In addition, there is no ATR BPN office in South Manokwari Regency, one of whose functions is community empowerment and conflict resolution. 2) Economic conflicts occur because transmigrants are registered and recorded in the population registry, making it easy for them to access capital. Several economic activities in agriculture and transportation services are dominated by transmigrants, causing economic jealousy. 3) Social conflicts occur when the distribution of social assistance is uneven and the excessive use of illegally sold alcoholic beverages causes social unrest. 4) Institutional conflicts occur when civil servants, police, and military personnel are recruited, and not all indigenous Papuans who are nominated can be accommodated, requiring the involvement of tribal councils to formulate recommendations for recruitment that prioritize indigenous Papuans. The root causes of the conflict were analyzed using a root cause analysis approach that covered unclear land boundaries, unequal economic access, weak coordination between institutions, and low social trust due to differences in interests between groups. This study utilizes best practices from the Tribal Council, the South Manokwari Regency Transmigration and Manpower Office, the Religious Harmony Forum, and the Social Services Office as the basis for developing smart maps for an early warning system for conflicts. The results of the study formulate a Smart Conflict Resolution System framework consisting of three main components: (1) participatory spatial mapping of conflicts and key actors, (2) integration of institutional databases and social-customary mediation channels, and (3) design of smart maps as a mitigation and decision-making tool in transmigration areas. This system is expected to strengthen collaborative governance, prevent conflict escalation, and realize inclusive and sustainable management of transmigration areas

The use of cosmetics, especially day creams, is increasing along with the high public interest in facial skin care. However, day cream products are still found to potentially contain hydroquinone, a skin whitening agent whose use is restricted because it can cause harmful side effects on skin health. This study aims to identify the presence and determine the levels of hydroquinone in day cream products circulating in District X, Sukoharjo Regency, and to assess their compliance with the regulations of the Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BPOM). This study was a descriptive analytical study using a purposive sampling technique. A total of 15 day cream products were analyzed, consisting of 8 BPOM-registered products and 7 products not registered with BPOM. Qualitative analysis was conducted using color reaction tests with FeCl₃, Benedict’s, and o-phenanthroline reagents. Furthermore, quantitative analysis was performed using the High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) method to accurately and specifically confirm the presence and determine the levels of hydroquinone. The results showed that the color reaction test has limitations in specifically identifying hydroquinone. HPLC confirmation revealed the presence of hydroquinone in several day cream samples, with concentrations ranging from 0.024% to 0.150%. These findings indicate the need for stricter monitoring of day cream distribution to ensure the safety of cosmetic products for the wider public.
