Low levels of political literacy and political participation awareness among female university students remain a challenge for strengthening democracy at the local level. This condition is also found among female students in East Lombok, who tend to perceive political participation narrowly and lack the skills and confidence to engage actively as citizens. This community service program aims to enhance political literacy, participatory awareness, and the capacity of female students to understand and practice political participation in a critical and responsible manner. The program was implemented at the Institut Teknologi Sosial dan Kesehatan Muhammadiyah Selong using a community organizing approach integrated into the academic learning process. The methods included participatory discussions, mentoring, simulations, and critical reflection, positioning female students as active subjects throughout the activities. The results indicate an improvement in participants’ understanding of the meaning and forms of political participation, increased confidence in expressing opinions, and the emergence of new awareness regarding their roles as democratic citizens. In addition, a female student discussion group was formed as a space for collective learning and an early platform for local leadership. This program highlights the role of higher education institutions in promoting social transformation and strengthening women’s political participation at the local level.

This community service program aims to improve the entrepreneurial skills of high school students through the understanding and application of SMART Goal Setting. The activities were carried out in the form of workshops, group discussions, and intensive mentoring for eleventh-grade students. Data were collected through observations, short interviews, participant reflection notes, and documentation of business plans. Analysis was conducted using descriptive qualitative methods, emphasizing the participants' experience patterns and behavioral changes after participating in the program. The results showed that students were better able to formulate specific, measurable, realistic, relevant, and time-bound business goals. In addition, participants reported increased self-confidence, regularity in developing business steps, and awareness of the importance of structured planning. These findings confirm the relevance of implementing SMART Goal Setting in high school entrepreneurship education as a practical strategy that can support the emergence of aspiring young entrepreneurs.

The low level of awareness among vocational high school (SMK) students to continue their education to higher education remains a major issue, particularly at SMK Mambail Futuh, Jenu District, Tuban Regency. Economic constraints, limited access to information, and an orientation toward immediate employment are dominant factors influencing students’ decisions. This community service activity aims to build students’ awareness and motivation regarding the importance of higher education as a long-term investment. The implementation method includes educational socialization, interactive discussions, the presentation of inspirational experiences, and the introduction of higher education admission pathways and financing schemes. The results show an improvement in students’ understanding of the benefits of higher education and a growing interest in pursuing further studies after graduation. This activity emphasizes that communicative and contextual educational approaches play a crucial role in encouraging positive mindset changes among SMK students toward higher education.

This research aims to evaluate the SQUAD Dewan (Suara Kita Untuk Demokrasi/Our Voice for Democracy) program implemented by the Secretariat of East Java Provincial Legislative Council (DPRD). The SQUAD Dewan program is an innovative initiative designed to enhance public participation in the legislative process and strengthen democratic practices at the provincial level. Using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model developed by Stufflebeam, this study examines the program's effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability. This qualitative research employs a descriptive approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, observation, and documentation at the Secretariat of the DPRD of East Java Province. Informants include program managers, legislative council members, public participants, and community representatives. The results indicate that the SQUAD Dewan program has successfully increased public engagement in legislative activities, with a 45% increase in public hearing participation and 60% growth in policy input submissions from 2022 to 2023. The program has effectively utilized digital platforms for broader outreach, reaching over 150,000 citizens through online forums and social media campaigns. However, challenges remain in terms of geographic coverage inequality, limited participation from rural communities, and the need for more sustainable funding mechanisms. This study recommends strengthening digital infrastructure in rural areas, developing capacity-building programs for community facilitators, establishing permanent funding allocations, and creating feedback mechanisms to enhance program responsiveness to public needs.

The environmental crisis is a global issue that has become increasingly evident and directly affects human life, including rural communities. Deforestation, environmental pollution, and changes in human lifestyles reflect an imbalanced relationship between humanity and nature. From a Christian faith perspective, the environmental crisis is not merely an ecological or social problem. This article aims to examine ecotheology as a foundation of Christian faith in responding to environmental crises, while also describing its practical implementation through a Community Service program conducted by lecturers and students of the Master’s Program in Christian Religious Education at IAKN Tarutung in 2025 in Situmeang Pintu Bosi Village, Sipoholon District, North Tapanuli Regency. The method employed is a qualitative approach using a participatory service model, which includes ecotheological material presentations, Bible-based reflective discussions, and the accompaniment of simple environmental care actions with the local community. The service materials emphasize the understanding of God as the Creator and Owner of all creation, the cultural mandate and stewardship, the reality of sin and its impact on the degradation of creation, and the role of the church and believers in preserving environmental integrity. The results indicate an increased theological understanding among the community regarding Christian responsibility toward the environment, along with the growth of ethical awareness to care for nature through concrete actions in daily life. This activity affirms that ecotheology is not merely conceptual, but has practical relevance in fostering faith-based ecological awareness.

This article examines the theological thought of Saint Cyprian of Carthage, one of the third-century Church Fathers, within the context of the Church’s situation in his time, which was marked by profound struggles of faith, particularly the experience of persecution. The focus of the discussion is directed toward the historical and pastoral conditions that shaped Cyprian’s views on the unity of the Church, episcopal authority, and the validity of the sacrament of baptism. Accordingly, this article raises several key questions: What historical background formed Cyprian’s thinking on these three concepts? What were the central ideas he developed regarding ecclesial unity, episcopal authority, and baptism? And how are his ideas relevant to the Church’s teaching, especially in light of the Second Vatican Council? Using a historical and hermeneutical approach, this article traces Cyprian’s life background as well as his pastoral-theological responses to the concrete situations faced by Christians in his time. In the context of the post-persecution crisis, Cyprian played a significant role in addressing internal divisions within the Church, particularly debates concerning the readmission of the lapsi (those who had apostatized). From these struggles, it becomes evident how Cyprian firmly articulated the role of bishops as successors of the apostles and emphasized the sacrament of baptism as the legitimate gateway into ecclesial communion. Based on the historical background of Cyprian’s thought and these three central themes, the article then examines the contribution of Cyprian’s theology to the teachings of the Church as formulated in the Second Vatican Council. Parental mental health plays a critical role in fostering healthy parenting practices, particularly during early childhood. Nevertheless, many parents, including homemakers and working mothers, continue to demonstrate limited awareness of the importance of maintaining psychological well-being in the parenting process. This community service initiative aimed to enhance parents’ mental health literacy and raise awareness of its implications for parenting practices. The program employed a mental health education and outreach approach, incorporating structured presentations, interactive discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and the provision of practical coping strategies applicable to daily life. The activity was implemented among parents of kindergarten pupils. The findings indicated a notable improvement in participants’ understanding of parental mental health, increased awareness of stress management in parenting contexts, and an enhanced capacity to apply simple strategies to maintain emotional regulation. Moreover, participants demonstrated active engagement and positive responses throughout the programme. This initiative contributes to strengthening parental mental health awareness as a preventive measure to support healthier and more adaptive parenting practices within the family setting.

Students have a strategic role as agents of change that requires adequate leadership and managerial skills. Formal learning in the classroom has not been able to fully develop these practical skills. This community service activity aims to improve the basic management skills of students at the Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Dian Nuswantoro through Basic Student Management Skills Training (LKMM TD) with the theme Sailing Beyond Limits. The implementation method uses a Participatory Learning Action approach that includes problem identification, strategic planning, activity implementation, and joint evaluation. The activity was attended by 193 students from student organizations and general students. The learning process was carried out through lectures, case studies, discussions, group work, and pre- and post-tests. The evaluation results showed a significant increase in participant capacity, marked by an increase in the average score from 68.21 percent in the pre-test to 91.69 percent. LKMM TD activities effectively equip students with managerial, leadership, communication, and motivational control skills as provisions for carrying out the role of student agents of change.

Dysmenorrhea is one of the most common reproductive health problems among women of reproductive age and can interfere with daily activities and productivity, while limited knowledge regarding proper management often leads to ineffective handling of menstrual pain. This community service activity aimed to improve the knowledge of women of reproductive age regarding dysmenorrhea management through health education at PMB Lina Contesa. The activity employed a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest–posttest approach involving women of reproductive age visiting PMB Lina Contesa. Health education was delivered through counseling and interactive discussions using leaflet media. Knowledge levels were measured before and after the intervention using a structured questionnaire and analyzed descriptively and comparatively. The results showed an increase in participants’ knowledge after the educational intervention, with most respondents shifting from low to moderate knowledge levels before education to good knowledge levels after education. These findings indicate that health education on dysmenorrhea management is effective in improving women’s understanding, highlighting the importance of continuous educational programs in midwifery care settings as a promotive and preventive strategy for women’s reproductive health

This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to improve the quality of human resources (HR) among Posyantek administrators in North Serpong District through the management of Appropriate Technology (TTG). The challenge faced by partners is the limited understanding and skills of Posyantek administrators in managing and utilizing TTG optimally and sustainably. The implementation method included counseling, training, discussions, and hands-on practice related to Appropriate Technology management that aligns with the needs and potential of the local community. The results of the activity indicate an increase in the knowledge, skills, and professional attitudes of Posyantek administrators in TTG management. Furthermore, this activity also strengthened motivation and collaboration among Posyantek administrators in carrying out their role as technology facilitators at the sub-district level. This PKM activity was concluded to be effective in improving the quality of human resources among Posyantek administrators and is expected to have a long-term impact on Posyantek development and community empowerment based on Appropriate Technology in North Serpong District.

This Community Service Program (Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat/PKM) aims to develop the communication strategy of Grandma Foundation through a corporate storytelling approach to enhance public awareness of its social programs. The main challenge faced by the foundation is the limited communication strategy, which has predominantly focused on informative reporting and has not yet effectively built emotional engagement with the public. The program employed interactive lectures, storytelling workshops, digital content production simulations, and mentoring and evaluation sessions. The results indicate a significant improvement in the foundation’s internal capacity to produce human-centered, authentic, and impact-oriented narratives. The implementation of corporate storytelling led to more consistent, emotionally engaging, and effective communication content, particularly through digital media. The discussion highlights that storytelling plays a strategic role in building public trust, strengthening organizational identity, and increasing public engagement. This program concludes that corporate storytelling is a relevant and effective communication strategy for nonprofit organizations to expand social impact and ensure the sustainability of their programs.

The primary objective of this research is to enhance English academic proficiency among seventh-grade pupils at UPT SMP Negeri 4 Takalar, specifically regarding "Introduction" subject matter, through the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) framework. This study was necessitated by observed deficiencies in student engagement and challenges in vocabulary acquisition, particularly concerning regular and irregular verbs, which had previously led to unsatisfactory academic performance. Utilizing a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design, the investigation was executed over two distinct cycles with a cohort of 24 students from Class VII B. Data acquisition involved the administration of performance assessments and systematic classroom observations. Subsequent analysis revealed a marked enhancement in learning achievements. During Cycle I, the mean score was recorded at 78.75, corresponding to a classical mastery rate of 37.5%. Following instructional refinements in Cycle II, the average score rose to 80.42, while the classical mastery rate increased to 50%. Moreover, observational evidence highlighted constructive behavioral shifts characterized by heightened engagement in collaborative discussions and improved oral communication confidence. Consequently, this study concludes that deploying the PBL model serves as an effective strategy for augmenting both English academic achievement and social interaction within the classroom environment.

This Community Service Program (PkM) aims to strengthen the role of adolescent parents through education on parenting during puberty and family financial literacy in Lembang Tondon Langi’, Tondon District, North Toraja Regency. Through two training sessions led by Ibu Rio Rita Pakan and Ibu Westerini, the program focused on enhancing the knowledge and skills of parents in addressing the challenges of parenting adolescent children and managing household finances. The first session, which addressed parenting during puberty, provided parents with insights into the characteristics of adolescent development and effective communication strategies. The second session, which focused on family financial management, offered practical skills in budgeting, debt management, and saving for the future. The results of the program showed that parents in Lembang Tondon Langi’ felt more prepared and confident in applying a more open and adaptive approach to parenting, as well as becoming more prudent in managing household finances. The enhancement of skills in both areas is expected to create more harmonious families and greater financial stability. The sustainability of the program is recommended through the formation of ongoing discussion groups and the active involvement of community leaders. This program has contributed positively to family welfare and the empowerment of parents in rural areas

The information technology revolution has brought significant changes to almost all aspects of people's lives, from communication patterns and ways of obtaining information to production and trade systems across various sectors. The development of digital technology has also driven cultural, social, and economic changes that require society to continuously adapt. This article aims to examine how society adapts to these changes through a literature review approach, examining various relevant scientific sources. The discussion focuses on digital literacy, human resource (HR) transformation, the concept of Society 5.0, the psychological impact of digital technology use, the role of public policy, and the use of technology in the economic sector. The study results indicate that the success of societal adaptation is greatly influenced by the level of digital literacy and the readiness of human resources to face increasingly rapid technological developments. Furthermore, public policies that support equal access to technology and digital education are crucial factors in this adaptation process. Equitable digital literacy and the development of adaptive and flexible human resources are key strategies for maximizing digital economic opportunities while addressing various social challenges in the era of information technology transformation.

This community service activity aimed to improve the ability of female students to manage menstrual stress through education and practice of deep breathing techniques at SMPN 2 Rambutan, Banyuasin Regency. The activity used a one-group pretest–posttest pre-experimental design involving 30 female students who had experienced menstruation. Health education was delivered through interactive lectures, discussions, and practical demonstrations of deep breathing techniques, while evaluation was conducted using pre-test and post-test questionnaires on menstrual stress levels. The results showed a reduction in menstrual stress, with most participants shifting from moderate stress before education to mild stress after the intervention. These findings indicate that deep breathing techniques are effective in helping students independently manage menstrual stress. Therefore, health education combined with practical deep breathing exercises is recommended to be implemented continuously in schools as a promotive and preventive strategy for adolescent reproductive health.

Household waste management remains a major challenge in rural areas, including Sunggumanai Village, Pattallassang District, Gowa Regency. Low public awareness and the absence of a structured community-based waste management system have negatively affected environmental quality and public health. This community service activity aimed to enhance community knowledge, awareness, and participation through the socialization of community-based waste management toward a clean and healthy environment. The activity was conducted on September 27, 2025, involving 30 participants consisting of community representatives, housewives, youth, and community leaders. The methods applied included educational socialization, participatory discussions, and waste segregation simulations based on the 3R principles (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle). The results indicated an improvement in participants’ understanding of waste types, the environmental and health impacts of improper waste management, and the importance of collective waste management practices. Participants also demonstrated positive attitudes and readiness to implement household waste segregation, as well as emerging ideas for establishing community-based waste management initiatives. In conclusion, this activity proved to be an effective initial step in promoting behavioral change toward sustainable waste management and supporting the creation of a clean and healthy village environment.

Palgunadi Selatan Village, RT 07/RW 05, Bulu Lor Subdistrict, North Semarang, possesses distinctive local potential in the form of community-based grape cultivation. However, this potential has not yet been systematically integrated into spatial and environmental planning at the neighborhood scale. This community service program aims to identify local potential and environmental constraints, formulate a design concept for a grape-based thematic village, and strengthen collaboration between residents, universities, and local stakeholders. The implementation method employs field observation, identification of potential and problems, environmental analysis, participatory discussions with the  community, and formulation of a spatial design concept. The results of the program are presented in the form of a conceptual design for the Grape-Based Thematic Village along Palgunadi Selatan Street, which includes gateway elements, pedestrian pathways, communal seating areas, pergola systems for grape cultivation, neighborhood bridges, vertical planting systems, and security posts. This design concept enhances environmental quality, strengthens the visual identity of the neighborhood, and creates opportunities for community-based economic activities and educational tourism. Furthermore, the program contributes to increased community awareness and participation in environmentally responsive and locally based neighborhood development, supporting the realization of a more organized, attractive, productive, and sustainable urban settlement.

Regarding the Utilization of Non-Fat Tempeh Powder as a Functional Food Based on Local Potential. The activity was conducted in Baturan Village, Colomadu District, Karanganyar Regency, involving 55 members of the PKK (Family Welfare Empowerment) cadre. The community service method employed a Community-Based Research (CBR) approach combined with Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD). The activities included participatory counseling, group discussions, and evaluation through pre-tests and post-tests. The results demonstrated an increase in knowledge, a shift in attitudes, and a growing awareness among the PKK cadre regarding the importance of functional food based on non-fat tempeh. Furthermore, the cadre emerged as peer educators with the potential to drive program sustainability at the community level. This community service proves that community-based counseling is effective in fostering initial social transformation towards healthier and more self-reliant food consumption patterns.

This study discusses fiqh ibadah as an important branch of fiqh that regulates the procedures for performing worship in accordance with Islamic law. The main objective of this study is to clarify the basic concepts of law, principles, and scope of worship in Islam so that its implementation is in accordance with sharia provisions. The data sources consist of primary literature (the Qur'an and Hadith) by analyzing scientific works from Google Scholar from 2018 to 2025 sourced from Indonesian and English journals. This study systematically describes the meaning of fiqh ibadah, sharia, and the legal basis derived from the Qur'an, sunnah, ijma, and qiyas. It includes complete arguments such as istihsan, maslahah, and urf. The discussion also covers the principles of ibadah mahdhah, which emphasize the necessity of evidence in its implementation to prevent bid'ah practices. The scope of fiqh ibadah focuses on four main acts of worship, namely prayer, zakat, fasting, and hajj, which have specific provisions in sharia. In addition, it also discusses the essence and purpose of worship, which shows that worship is a form of submission and love of a servant to Allah SWT and the main purpose of human creation. Through an understanding of fiqh worship, Muslims are expected to be able to perform worship correctly, validly, and accepted by Allah SWT, as well as a means of achieving benefit and happiness in this world and the hereafter.
