This community service activity aims to improve literacy on zakat, infaq, and almsgiving through an accounting approach among the community of Bentiring Permai, Bengkulu City. The main problem faced by the community is the lack of understanding regarding zakat calculation and the absence of systematic financial recording in managing religious social funds. The method used is an educational and participatory approach through interactive lectures, zakat calculation practices, and simple financial recording simulations referring to PSAK 109. This activity involved 50 participants consisting of the general public, mosque administrators, and small business actors, and was conducted at the Bentiring Permai Village Hall. The results show a significant increase in participants’ understanding, as indicated by the comparison of pre-test and post-test results, as well as improved ability in calculating zakat and conducting simple financial recording. In addition, this activity increased public awareness of the importance of transparency and accountability in managing zakat, infaq, and almsgiving funds. Therefore, this program is expected to contribute to improving the quality of accounting-based management of religious social funds within the community.

Background:Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia, particularly in the food processing sector, frequently encounter challenges such as limited production capacity, conventional marketing practices, weak brand identity, and inadequate financial documentation, which hinder sustainable business growth. This community service activity aimed to provide comprehensive assistance to Rona Surya, a traditional snack MSME located in Wagir, Malang Regency, through the formulation of production standard operating procedures (SOPs), digital marketing capacity building, brand identity renewal, human resource development, and simple financial recording training. The activity applied a participatory action approach involving direct observation, structured problem identification, systematic mentoring programs, and reflective evaluation over a 16-week period from January to May 2026. The program resulted in the development of a production SOP, active Instagram and TikTok accounts containing at least five promotional content items, a renewed brand logo, a business banner, a simple organizational structure, a vision and mission document, and a basic cash book. In addition, the business owner demonstrated measurable improvements in digital marketing capabilities, brand awareness management, and understanding the importance of separating personal and business finances.

The consumption of sugar-sweetened beverages (SSBs) in Indonesia continues to increase and is associated with the risk of obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases due to oxidative stress. Kombucha has potential as a functional antioxidant beverage; however, its use is still dominated by Camellia sinensis, limiting the utilization of local ingredients. Bilimbi leaves (Averrhoa bilimbi Linn.) have high antioxidant activity and potential as an alternative substrate. This study aimed to analyze the effect of fermentation time variations (4, 7, and 14 days) and sugar concentrations (10% and 15%) on the acceptability and antioxidant activity of bilimbi leaf kombucha, as well as to determine the best formulation. The study used a true experimental design with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) involving six formulations (F1–F6) and one control (F0). Antioxidant activity was analyzed using the DPPH method. The results showed that fermentation time and sugar concentration significantly affected antioxidant activity.). The highest antioxidant activity was found in F2 (IC50 98.67 ppm, strong category). F2 was determined as the best formulation due to its  antioxidant activity. F2 has the potential to be developed as an alternative functional beverage to reduce SSB consumption. Further research is recommended to conduct stability testing and in vivo studies.

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the e-SIDAK application as a tool for recording and evaluating the performance of civil servants at BKPSDM Belitung Regency. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with 12 purposively selected informants, including managers, administrators, and application users. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed thematically using NVivo 12 Pro based on the digital service effectiveness indicators proposed by Pedrosa et al., namely ease of use, simplicity, understandability, consistency, trustworthiness, availability, speed, and usefulness. The findings indicate that the e-SIDAK application fulfills most effectiveness indicators, particularly in terms of ease of use, process simplicity, clarity of information, interface consistency, and service usefulness. The application facilitates systematic work activity recording, simplifies reporting, improves employee discipline, and supports performance monitoring integrated with the employee performance allowance system. However, its effectiveness remains limited in terms of system reliability, service availability, and access speed due to server capacity constraints, network conditions, and the accumulation of data input at the end of reporting periods. In addition, the point-based evaluation system has not fully reflected task duration, complexity, and workload. This study recommends strengthening system infrastructure, developing user guidelines, regulating input timing, and improving the point-based evaluation system to enhance digital service effectiveness in local government institutions.

In today’s world, social media has become an everyday necessity for interacting and socializing with others, but it has both positive and negative effects, particularly on the younger generation. The roles of parents and educators are crucial in building the digital resilience of the younger generation. The solution is to provide early education to the younger generation, particularly new students for the 2025/2026 school year, during the School Orientation Program conducted by the UKMC Community Service Team. The purpose of this activity is to educate new students at SMK Xaverius Palembang to improve their understanding of digital literacy and online etiquette and to use social media more responsibly. The PkM Team served as guest speakers, presenting material on digital literacy and social media ethics, as well as real-life case studies, on Thursday, July 17, 2025, in the auditorium of SMK Xaverius Palembang. This activity is a community service initiative that uses interactive educational methods, in which the team presents five questions related to online gambling, fake news, cyberbullying, explicit content, and ending human trafficking in the form of digital posters, and the students explain them. The team also provided real-life examples and explained their causes and effects. Based on the results of the program, students demonstrated increased awareness of the risks associated with online gambling, fake news, cyberbullying, and explicit content, as well as the importance of combating human trafficking, and were more likely to adopt positive social media etiquette.

Malpractice in the health professions is one of the issues that can cause harm to patients, health professionals, and healthcare institutions. A lack of understanding among students as prospective health professionals regarding ethical aspects, legal principles, professional standards, and proper service procedures may increase the risk of malpractice. This Community Service activity aims to provide students of STIKES Pasapua Ambon with an understanding of the concept of malpractice, the factors causing malpractice, and preventive efforts through the implementation of professional ethics, compliance with standard operating procedures, effective communication, and the improvement of professional competence. The activity was carried out through counseling, educational sessions, interactive discussions, and guidance on health law for participants. The results of the activity indicate an increase in students’ knowledge and awareness of the importance of understanding the limits of professional authority, legal responsibility, and preventive measures to avoid malpractice in healthcare practice. This activity is expected to help develop future health professionals who are professional, ethical, and responsible in providing safe and high-quality healthcare services.

The coffee shop industry in Indonesia is experiencing rapid growth that requires business owners to optimize data-driven strategies. This study aims to analyze customer preferences at Semanis Coffee and Resto using data mining methods  to support more effective business decision-making. The method used is Market Basket Analysis with the FP-Growth algorithm for association rule mining and the K-Means algorithm for customer segmentation. The research data consists of 672 sales transactions during the March-May 2025 period. The results of the association analysis with a minimum support of 0.004 and a minimum confidence of 0.2 resulted in five valid rules with a lift ratio above 1. The strongest rule is the combination of Americano→Milk Choco with a confidence of 42.9% and an elevator ratio of 5.229, indicating a strong linkage between products. The most popular products are Milk Choco (10.8%) and Americano (8.5%). Customer segmentation analysis identified three clusters: Cluster 0 (Loyal Customers) 80% with high frequency but low transaction value; Cluster 1 (Occasional Customers) 10% with low activity; and Cluster 2 (Large Buyers) 10% with high transaction value but low frequency. This study concludes that product bundling strategies, loyalty programs, reactivation campaigns, and premium services can be applied to increase the effectiveness of coffee shop businesses.

Libraries play a crucial role in broadening the public's knowledge horizons by improving literacy skills. However, the reality at the Samaturu Library in Jambu Malea Village shows that manual management still dominates, leading to various administrative obstacles such as data irregularities, the risk of losing important information, and inefficiencies in tracking daily activities. This condition demands digital transformation to optimize public services at the village level comprehensively and sustainably. This research focuses on the development of a web-based library information system specifically designed to modernize administrative processes to be more systematic, fast, and organized. Built using the PHP programming language and MySQL database, this platform offers an intuitive interface for both staff and members. Its superior features include book data management, membership, activity agendas, announcements, and digitizing the borrowing and return process. Furthermore, the system is capable of automatically generating periodic reports to facilitate library performance evaluation. Based on the results of comprehensive testing using the Black Box Testing method, all system functionality was proven to operate optimally according to the required specifications. Direct user trials also showed very positive responses regarding aspects of ease of navigation and operational time efficiency. The implementation of this system is expected to improve the effectiveness of internal management, accelerate the quality of services to library users, and become a major catalyst in realizing superior digital literacy governance in rural areas.

Public awareness of the importance of health is still relatively low, especially in rural areas. This is due to limited access to information and health services. This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge and awareness of the village community through healthy lifestyle education and free health checkups. The methods used include counseling, interactive discussions, and health checks including blood pressure, blood sugar, and body mass index. The results of the activity show that there is an increase in public knowledge about a healthy lifestyle and an increase in awareness to carry out regular health check-ups. This activity also has a positive impact in early detection of public health conditions. In addition, the active participation of the community during the activity shows high enthusiasm for the program implemented. This program also strengthens the relationship between health workers and the community in promotive and preventive efforts. Thus, education and free health services are effective strategies in improving the health status of the village community and encouraging the formation of healthy living behaviors in a sustainable and independent manner.

Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) is a promotive and preventive effort that aims to improve the degree of public health through behavior change. Nursery reservoir employees have a high risk of exposure to the work environment in the form of dirty water, biological waste, and pathogenic microorganisms. This community service activity was carried out to increase the knowledge and practice of PHBS among employees of the nursery reservoir in Juata Tarakan based on national PHBS indicators. The implementation method includes counseling, demonstration, and evaluation using pre-test and post-test. The results showed a significant increase in employee knowledge, with an average pre-test score of 58.7 increasing to 78.3 in the post-test. The statistical test resulted in a value of p = 0.000 (p < 0.05), which confirms the effectiveness of PHBS educational interventions in improving workers' health knowledge and behavior. These findings provide practical implications that counseling-based education and demonstrations can be an effective strategy in encouraging the implementation of PHBS in risky work environments. Thus, this activity is expected to be able to support the creation of a healthier work environment, increase productivity, and become a model for community-based occupational health interventions.

The rise of the digital business era presents both opportunities and challenges for SME operators, particularly regarding legal aspects of business and unfair competition. This community service initiative aims to enhance the legal literacy and capacity of SME operators in Surakarta through educational and practical legal support. The methods employed included a pre-test to measure initial understanding, a legal needs assessment to identify participants’ legal requirements, the presentation of materials and interactive discussions as forms of intervention, and a post-test to evaluate improvements in understanding. The results of the activity demonstrated a significant improvement in participants’ legal knowledge and awareness, particularly regarding business contracts, digital transactions, and the risks of unfair competition. Furthermore, there was a shift in participants’ mindset, as they began to view the law as a strategic tool in running their businesses. Nevertheless, this initiative still faces challenges such as time constraints and the need for more intensive follow-up support. Consequently, legal support based on the actual needs of MSME operators has proven effective and requires continuous development to strengthen the competitiveness and legal protection of MSMEs in the digital age.

The transformation of payment systems from cash to digital through the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) is part of financial transaction modernization in Indonesia. This transformation has begun among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Baduy community, particularly in Baduy Luar, which has higher interaction with external communities. However, the adoption of digital payment systems has not been fully supported by adequate financial management capabilities. This community service activity aims to identify the transformation process of payment systems and describe the financial literacy conditions of Baduy MSMEs. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach through in-depth interviews and field observations. The results show that some MSMEs have adopted QRIS through Bank BRI as an alternative payment method alongside cash and have utilized social media such as TikTok Live and Instagram for product marketing. The main sources of income include handicrafts, traditional clothing, accessories, and food products. However, financial management practices remain simple and lack systematic recording. This indicates improved financial inclusion but not yet accompanied by adequate financial behavior. Therefore, strengthening financial literacy is essential to support sustainable financial modernization in the Baduy community.

The background of this study is based on the still low level of financial literacy of MSMEs, especially in terms of recording and managing business finances, which are often not done systematically. The methods used in this activity include direct observation, simple bookkeeping training, and evaluation of the implementation of financial recording. The results of the observation indicate that Nasi Padang MSMEs have not kept complete financial records and still mix personal finances with business finances. Meanwhile, Warung Madura MSMEs have kept simple bookkeeping and separated business finances from personal finances, but the records are not organized neatly and systematically. The implementation of simple bookkeeping training has a positive impact on improving business actors' understanding in recording cash inflows and outflows and preparing simple profit and loss reports. The evaluation results show an increase in the ability of MSMEs to manage business finances in a more structured manner. Thus, simple bookkeeping plays an important role in increasing financial transparency, assisting business decision-making, and supporting the sustainability of MSMEs. This study recommends ongoing mentoring so that simple bookkeeping practices can be consistently implemented by MSMEs.

This community service activity aimed to enhance human resource management (HRM) literacy among congregation members through weekly religious study sessions at Kramatwatu Mosque. HRM literacy is important not only in formal work environments, but also in family life, social organizations, and religious activities. The problem identified was the congregation’s limited understanding of basic HRM concepts, such as planning, organizing, role distribution, discipline, communication, and individual potential development. The community service program was carried out through an educational-participatory approach in the form of material presentation, interactive discussions, simple case studies, and reflection on Islamic values relevant to human resource management. The activity was implemented gradually in weekly religious study forums by taking into account the characteristics of the congregation. The results showed an improvement in the congregation’s understanding of the importance of HRM in daily life, particularly in the aspects of responsibility, cooperation, discipline, and self-capacity development. Weekly religious study sessions proved effective as a medium for community empowerment because they were able to integrate religious values with practical HRM concepts. Therefore, strengthening HRM literacy through weekly religious study sessions can serve as a relevant educational strategy to improve mosque-based human resource quality.

Pumpkin seeds (Cucurbita spp.) are a byproduct of pumpkin that has great potential to be developed as a functional food ingredient due to their high nutritional content and bioactive compounds. This article aims to examine the valorization (utilization) of pumpkin seeds in various food products and their potential as a functional food. The method used was a narrative literature review through a search of the Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, PubMed, and MDPI databases for the period 2016–2026. The results of the study indicate that pumpkin seeds have been applied in various food products such as cookies, crackers, bread, biscuits, cakes, muffins, and snack bars. The addition of pumpkin seeds generally increases the content of protein, fiber, unsaturated fatty acids, minerals, and bioactive compounds that contribute to antioxidant activity. However, increasing the proportion of pumpkin seeds also affects the physical and sensory characteristics of the product, such as darker color, decreased volume, and changes in texture due to reduced gluten content in the dough. Therefore, formulation optimization is needed to achieve a balance between increasing nutritional value and consumer acceptance. Overall, pumpkin seeds have the potential to be used as an ingredient in the development of functional foods.

This research investigates how profitability, leverage, activity levels, and company scale impact financial distress in property and real estate firms traded on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The selection of this sector stems from its high exposure to economic ups and downs, leaving its businesses particularly prone to financial troubles. Independent factors in the analysis include profitability, leverage, activity, and firm size, with financial distress serving as the outcome variable. Samples were drawn via purposive sampling from property and real estate entities listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange over the 2022–2024 timeframe. Adopting a quantitative design, the study applies multiple linear regression as its core analytical tool. STATA version 17 handled the data analysis. Results show that, taken together, the independent variables exert a significant impact on financial distress. Ultimately, firms should optimize their financial metrics and pursue business growth to mitigate financial distress risks.

This study is motivated by the low learning outcomes in Mahfudzat among Grade 2C students at Pondok Pesantren Al-Madani Cikalong, as indicated by an average score of 54.2, which is below the minimum passing standard of 60, as well as low student attention during learning. This study aims to determine the improvement in students’ learning activity and achievement through the implementation of the Team Quiz strategy. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) based on the Kemmis and Taggart model, conducted in three cycles using data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, tests, and documentation. The results show that the Team Quiz strategy is effective in improving both student activity and learning outcomes. Learning activity increased from 84% in Cycle I to 96% in Cycle III, while learning achievement improved from 77% (average score 70) to 100% (average score 86). Therefore, the Team Quiz strategy is proven to enhance the quality of Mahfudzat learning. It is recommended that teachers consistently apply this strategy and that schools provide adequate support to optimize the learning process.
