Optimizing Branding and Digital Marketing as an urgent solution for local MSMEs, particularly Rengginang producer Ibu Saliem in Dolok Kahean Village. This MSME was previously limited to traditional marketing, which hampered market expansion and competitiveness. This community service aims to transform this local business to be competitive in the digital era. The method used is descriptive qualitative with stages of observation, socialization, and program implementation. The main intervention includes the creation of the Rengginang Huta brand identity with a professional logo design. This new logo combines elements of the business's heritage since 1989 and integrated contact information, which strategically increases the selling value and credibility of the product. The second pillar is the implementation of Digital Marketing through the creation of the Instagram account @rengginanghuta_ibusaliem. This account serves as a virtual storefront to overcome geographical limitations and increase reach to a wider consumer base. Intensive training was also provided on content strategies that focus on credibility, sales (Call to Action), and interaction. The results of this community service confirm that the integration of strong and authentic branding with digital marketing strategies is a key catalyst for MSMEs to transform and increase sales turnover. The next challenge lies in the sustainability of content strategies and independent account management by MSMEs to achieve optimal economic potential for Dolok Kahean Village.

Islamic economics is an economic system based on the principles of the Qur’an and the Sunnah, with the aim of providing benefit (maslahah) for humanity. Conceptually, Islamic economics is fixed, but in practice, depending on certain situations and conditions, it may change or be applied more broadly. The main principles of Islamic economics consist of four elements: tawhid (monotheism), balance, freedom of will, and responsibility. Production is not only about creating goods from materials that do not exist, but also about producing goods that are useful and beneficial. The goal of production is to achieve happiness in both the worldly life and the hereafter, based on the principles of maqasid al-shariah. Production must be in accordance with Islamic values, so that it does not conflict with the protection of religion, life, intellect, lineage, and wealth. Production priorities should follow basic needs, secondary needs, and complementary needs, while taking into account justice and social aspects such as zakat and charity. Production must be carried out optimally, and the results should be distributed fairly among owners, managers, administrators, and workers. Factors of production such as natural resources, labor, capital, management, technology, and raw materials are also inseparable from the production process.

The Continental European legal system and the Anglo-Saxon legal system, particularly in the context of jury application, by exploring the philosophical, procedural, and normative implications of each system. The Continental European legal system, rooted in the civil law tradition, emphasizes the codification of laws as the primary source of legal rules, often sidelining the role of juries in the judicial process. On the other hand, the Anglo-Saxon legal system, which adheres to common law, places the role of the jury as a crucial element in determining facts and delivering verdicts in trials. This research utilizes a comparative approach to identify fundamental differences between the two systems, with an emphasis on the role and authority of juries in the context of law enforcement and judicial processes. This analysis includes a study of the role of juries in each legal system, their impact on procedural justice, as well as the shortcomings and advantages that arise from the implementation of both systems in the context of community life. Using a normative qualitative research method, this study concludes that although there are significant differences in the application of the jury system, both systems contribute importantly to the development of justice principles within the broader framework of international justice. This research also presents recommendations regarding the potential integration of positive elements from each system to enrich legal practices in Indonesia.

The phenomenon of using non-Hajj visas for pilgrimage has deprived many pilgrims of legal protection, with numerous cases of arrests by Saudi authorities resulting in deportation and even a ten-year ban on entering Saudi Arabia. This study adopts a qualitative case study design with an empirical legal research approach. Data were collected through interviews and document analysis at PT Mirbath Tour and Travel Palu. The primary data source was an interview with the Director of PT Mirbath, while secondary sources included the Qur’an, Hadith, legislation, journals, articles, theses, dissertations, and reference books. Data analysis employed reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings highlight three key points. First, PT Mirbath facilitated Hajj departures using multiple-entry visas with significant limitations, such as the absence of tents in Mina and Muzdalifah, restricted access to facilities, and alternative routes from Riyadh to bypass checkpoints. Second, the use of non-Hajj visas indicates that the implementation of Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 8 of 2019 on the Administration of Hajj and Umrah has not been effectively enforced, with policy gaps and weak operational oversight remaining apparent. Third, although the contractual arrangements applied appear consistent with the principles of Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh muamalah), they conflict with the foundations of sharia economic law, as the use of non-Hajj visas involves elements of gharar (uncertainty), lack of transparency, and contractual objectives inconsistent with maqasid al-shariah.

This study examines in depth the risk factors influencing financial statement fraud in the Indonesian banking sector by employing the Fraud Hexagon framework. This framework comprises six core elements—pressure, opportunity, rationalization, capability, arrogance, and collusion—each representing potential drivers of fraudulent behavior. The study also aims to assess whether institutional investor involvement can serve as a moderating factor capable of reducing the likelihood of fraud. The research uses secondary data derived from the annual reports of banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2020–2023. Logistic regression analysis is employed to examine the relationships between the Fraud Hexagon variables and financial statement fraud, as well as to test the moderating role of institutional ownership. The findings reveal that, among the six elements of the Fraud Hexagon, only auditor changes (representing rationalization) and political connections (representing collusion) have a significant effect on financial statement fraud. The other elements—pressure, opportunity, capability, and arrogance—do not show a significant impact. Furthermore, institutional investor involvement is found not to moderate the relationship between the Fraud Hexagon elements and financial statement fraud, indicating that external monitoring through institutional ownership remains ineffective in the context of Indonesian banking. These results underscore the importance of closer supervision of rationalization and collusion factors, as well as the need for stronger internal control mechanisms to prevent fraudulent financial reporting. The study’s findings are expected to provide valuable insights for regulators, banking management, and other stakeholders in their efforts to enhance fraud prevention measures in the financial sector.

This research analyzes the fundamental conflict between state regulation and Sharia principles regarding cryptocurrency in Indonesia, aiming to explore the views of Islamic scholars and the legal perspective in the Qur'an and its interpretations. Cryptocurrency has become a popular investment trend, especially among the youth. While the Bank Indonesia (BI) prohibits its use as a legal payment instrument, its trading activity is legalized as an investment asset under the supervision of OJK and BI. Conversely, the MUI Fatwa and the majority of scholars declare crypto transactions as forbidden (haram) due to the presence of elements prohibited in Islamic economics: riba (usury) and gharar (uncertainty). Gharar is linked to the extreme price volatility that encourages speculation (maysir) and the non-physical nature of crypto. Riba, on the other hand, is associated with the potential for unfair profit in lending and staking mechanisms. This prohibition is rooted in the interpretation of the Qur'an (QS. Al-Baqarah: 275 and QS. An-Nisa: 29), which strictly forbids riba and consuming others' wealth through bathil (unlawful) means. Consequently, although legally accepted as an investment asset, many scholars view crypto as violating the principles of justice and transparency in Islamic economics.

This research examines the effectiveness of using a repertoire class as a learning strategy in the Media Music course of the Film and Television Production Study Program at the Indonesian Institute of the Arts, Yogyakarta. The course, offered in the fourth semester, focuses on film music creation, mood development, and instrumental understanding. The study applies the Classroom Action Research method with the primary goal of improving students’ comprehension of film scoring components. Pre-cycle findings showed that students’ understanding was relatively low under previous teaching approaches. To address this, the repertoire class method was introduced. This strategy emphasises active learning through sound samples from various instruments, allowing students to directly experience and analyse how musical elements shape the mood of a film. The interactive design of this method provides not only theoretical insights but also practical, auditory experiences that deepen learning. The research was carried out in three CAR cycles, each evaluating student progress and adjusting strategies as needed. Results demonstrate a notable improvement in learning outcomes. The percentage of students achieving Excellent and Very Good categories increased significantly, while the number in the Poor category decreased. These findings confirm that repertoire classes, especially those incorporating instrumental sound samples, are highly effective in enhancing students’ understanding of the emotional dimension of film music. In conclusion, this approach enriches the learning experience and equips students with both technical knowledge and emotional sensitivity in film scoring. By integrating practice-based methods, the repertoire class proves to be a valuable strategy in media music education.

A paradigm shift in public services has occurred rapidly due to the advent of digital technologies, which has led to the creation of more efficient, transparent and user-oriented systems. The study aims to examine how the quality of e-services, reputation, trust in e-services and electronic word of mouth affect user satisfaction with technology-enabled public services. A quantitative approach using multiple linear regression analysis is used to confirm the validity of the model. This method includes validity, reliability and classical assumptions testing. The results show that all four independent variables have a positive effect on user satisfaction both in general and individually. The quality of service, which encompasses factors such as ease of access, speed, system availability, and data security, has been demonstrated to enhance satisfaction. On the other hand, positive feedback and trust in the integrity and competence of the institution strengthen the relationship with users. Electronic word of mouth is crucial to create positive perceptions and attract consumers to services. The results show that to increase user satisfaction and loyalty in digital government services, the integration of these four elements is a key strategy.

Tax avoidance is a crucial issue in corporate governance as it can reduce state revenue and create potential legal claims against the company itself. This study aims to explore the internal elements of firms that influence tax avoidance behaviour, with an emphasis on firm size, capital intensity, sales growth, and earnings management. The methodology employed in this research is a quantitative approach, using purposive sampling to select the companies serving as samples, and multiple linear regression analysis accompanied by classical assumption testing to ensure the reliability of the model used. The results of the analysis indicate that internal firm factors have a significant overall effect on tax avoidance. However, when examined individually, only firm size demonstrates a significant impact, while capital intensity, sales growth, and earnings management do not show a meaningful influence. These findings reaffirm that companies with larger asset bases tend to be more actively engaged in tax avoidance practices, thereby requiring tax authorities to strengthen their oversight of firms with substantial asset scales.

This research endeavors to scrutinize how keen students are on learning Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMKS Muhammadiyah 9 Medan. The impetus for this investigation arises from the noticeable lack of enthusiasm among students when they attend PAI lessons. These lessons are frequently seen as uninteresting, lacking variety, and less stimulating when compared to the vocational subjects they are studying. These circumstances create difficulties for PAI instructors, who must establish a learning environment that not only delivers content but also cultivates real motivation and a genuine passion in the students. A qualitative descriptive method was used for this study, and information was gathered through classroom observations, conversations with instructors and students, and surveys to gain insights into students' views on their educational experiences. The information was analyzed to pinpoint the internal and external elements that affect learning interest. The results show that the students' level of interest in learning is somewhere between moderate and low. Personal drive, study routines, and students' mental preparation are examples of internal variables, whereas teaching strategies, the use of educational resources, and the backing of the school setting and family are examples of external variables. The research emphasizes the necessity for teaching strategies that are relevant, diverse, engaging, and more in line with the requirements of the students, based on these findings. It is hoped that learning PAI will not only improve cognitive comprehension but will also raise awareness of the significance of Islamic principles in daily life.

The poem “Mayat Politik Ditutupi Koran Pagi” by Afrizal Malna presents sharp social and political criticism through the use of irony and complex metaphors. This study aims to examine how these two linguistic devices are employed to reveal the socio-political realities of post-reform Indonesia. Using a stylistic approach, the research explores the forms, functions, and meanings of irony and metaphor that appear within the poem’s structure. The analysis shows that irony serves to express dissatisfaction and satire toward political conditions that appear orderly but are actually filled with deception and manipulation. Meanwhile, metaphor provides a symbolic depiction of the role of mass media as an instrument of power that conceals the true political reality behind public discourse. Through the interplay of these two stylistic elements, Afrizal Malna succeeds in presenting a poetic representation of society’s anxiety over media domination and the blurring line between truth and political interest. This study is expected to enhance the understanding of literature’s role as a reflective and critical medium in uncovering the relationship between language, power, and ideology within Indonesia’s socio-political dynamics.

Many phenomena are present and occur in human life, both those with major impacts and those with relatively small impacts, and of course the impact of these will also be felt well. The environmental crisis remains a trending topic in the global scope due to the impact and impact of the deteriorating environmental conditions itself. The natural crisis has a very large impact, pressuring the life of humanity in the process of survival. Not only does it impact humans, but there is a large tendency to impact cosmological concepts. The threat to humanity from this phenomenon as an ecological crisis, demands a strong and good contribution in striving for nature in the context of preserving and restoring nature itself. It cannot be denied that the role of nature is truly enormous for human life, so it is very necessary to take action that can protect and care for nature, not the opposite to exploit nature itself. A local conceptual-based action that involves the community itself is a solution in monitoring and restoring the condition of nature to the present. Environmental ethics need to be built within the scope of society in a context that is directly in contact with nature, which is none other than the elements of nature itself. Communities must take swift action to address this visibly deteriorating natural environment. This study employed a qualitative research method with a literature review approach. The study found that the concept of community democracy, in its efforts to maintain justice among living things, has a positive impact as a collective contribution to protecting and restoring nature in its crisis context.

This study aims to analyze the role of village heads in improving development in Darmorpis Village, Samofa District, Biak Numfor Regency. Village administration, as the spearhead of government administration, plays an important role in realizing public services, community empowerment, and sustainable development. This study uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and literature study. The results show that the village head plays a strategic role in leading and mobilizing all elements of society, including traditional leaders, religious leaders, village officials, and the general public, to actively participate in development. The village head's leadership emphasizes not only administrative aspects but also service, motivation, work discipline, and capacity building for village officials. The synergy between leadership and community participation proved to be a key factor in the success of the development program in Darmorpis Village. However, this study also found obstacles in the form of a lack of coordination regarding the implementation of assistance programs from the local government, which had an impact on the community's perception of the effectiveness of development. Thus, it can be concluded that the success of village development is largely determined by the visionary leadership of the village head and the collective support of the community.

This study aims to develop an interactive mobile application-based learning media to introduce Devanagari Sanskrit script to Indonesian teenagers. The background of this research is the lack of communicative, contextual, and engaging learning media for the digital generation in learning traditional scripts. The development method uses the ADDIE model modified with a visual communication design approach and integration of local Balinese cultural values. The results show that this media successfully combines strong visual elements, interactive voice narratives, and Balinese cultural iconography in one mobile-friendly platform. Validation from design and cultural experts shows a very high level of feasibility, supported by positive responses from student users at the Dvipantara Samskrtam Foundation. This research makes a real contribution to the preservation of traditional scripts through a digital educational approach that is adaptive to the learning needs of today's teenagers. In addition, this research also opens opportunities for the development of similar learning media for other traditional scripts, thereby increasing awareness and understanding of Indonesia's rich culture among the younger generation. By integrating technology in learning, it is hoped that the preservation of Indonesian culture can go hand in hand with the progress of the times.

This research explores how bullying is depicted in the animated film “Jumbo” through the lens of Roland Barthes' semiotic theory. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative approach, the study analyzes the denotative, connotative, and mythological meanings embedded within the film’s visual and narrative elements. Through this lens, the film is interpreted not merely as a piece of children's entertainment but as a medium that carries deeper social messages. The central character, Don, is portrayed as physically different from his peers, which becomes a symbol of broader societal rejection and marginalization. His journey reflects the internal and external struggles faced by individuals who do not conform to mainstream standards. Key symbolic components—such as Don’s unusually large physique, his inherited storybook, and the way he interacts with others—highlight themes of courage, empathy, personal identity, and the desire for social inclusion. The film subtly critiques the normalization of bullying and challenges dominant myths that suggest acceptance and success are only for those who meet certain physical or social norms. Through its narrative, Jumbo promotes values of diversity and encourages viewers, especially young audiences, to question unjust stereotypes and embrace empathy. By decoding the semiotic messages in Jumbo, this study contributes to a deeper understanding of how animated films can serve as powerful educational tools. They can raise awareness about social issues, influence attitudes, and inspire critical reflection, especially when they employ symbolism that resonates with real-life experiences. This research ultimately highlights the potential of animation as a medium for moral and social education beyond its entertainment function.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is a preliminary agreement in contracts established under the Common Law system, and this research is based on the increasing phenomenon of using MoUs as an initial form of agreement in various fields, including the organization of beauty pageants; however, in practice, there remains ambiguity regarding the extent to which an MoU has binding legal force, particularly when one party commits a breach of contract or when disputes arise, thus this study formulates two main issues, namely the legal status of the parties involved in the MoU of the Miss Beauty East Java 2022 pageant agreement and the legal consequences of the non-performance of such MoU, employing a normative juridical method through statute, conceptual, and case approaches to analyze the practice of MoUs in Miss Beauty East Java 2022, and the findings indicate that although MoUs are not explicitly regulated in the Indonesian Civil Code, they may be considered preliminary agreements subject to the principle of freedom of contract under Article 1338 of the Civil Code, with the legal status of the parties being binding as long as the MoU fulfills the essential elements of a valid contract (agreement, legal capacity, specific object, and lawful cause), while the legal consequences of non performance may give rise to legal liability resolved through non-litigation efforts such as mediation or arbitration, or ultimately through litigation if amicable settlement fails, leading to the conclusion that the MoU in the Miss Beauty East Java 2022 pageant possesses binding legal force as a preliminary agreement rather than merely a moral commitment, provided that it is clearly drafted and meets the validity requirements of a contract under Indonesian law.

This study investigates the influence of the marketing mix on consumer purchasing decisions at Rahayu Souvenir Shop. A quantitative research approach was applied to examine the relationship between the marketing mix elements and consumer behavior. Data collection involved the use of structured questionnaires distributed to consumers. The sample consisted of 95 respondents, selected using the Slovin formula based on the total population of the shop’s customers. Several statistical tests were conducted to ensure data validity and reliability, including validity and reliability tests, as well as classical assumption tests such as normality, heteroscedasticity, and multicollinearity tests. These tests were prerequisites for conducting multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the analysis revealed that the product variable (X1) does not have a significant influence on consumer purchasing decisions, as indicated by a significance value of 0.625 (> 0.05). On the other hand, the price variable (X2) showed a significant influence with a significance value of 0.020 (< 0.05), while promotion (X3) and location (X4) also had significant effects with significance values of 0.009 and 0.000, respectively. Furthermore, the F-test results indicated that the product, price, promotion, and location variables together have a significant effect on purchasing decisions, as shown by a significance value of 0.001 (< 0.05).

This study explores the psychological analysis of the main character in John Wick (2014), emphasizing the emotional and motivational factors that drive his actions. By applying Bernhardt's psychological aspects and Kenney's conflict theory, the research investigates the protagonist's internal struggles alongside his external challenges. Key issues examined include grief, trauma, and the pursuit of justice, highlighting how these elements shape character development and influence the narrative's progression. Utilizing a qualitative descriptive method and thorough film analysis, the study reveals that John Wick's journey transcends mere revenge; it represents a complex psychological quest for closure, identity, and moral reconciliation. The findings emphasize the significance of emotions, ethical dilemmas, and personal values in character-driven narratives, illustrating how internal conflicts affect external actions. This research adds to broader discussions on the psychological depth of cinematic characters and underscores the universal themes of loss and resilience. Future studies could investigate similar analyses across different genres to deepen our understanding of character psychology and audience engagement.
